Reviews of Pleasant Hill Disc Golf and Pro Shop
Mike Girard
Pleasant Hill is an ideal local course. Well maintained, beautiful holes, and a short drive or bike ride from Portland. The pro shop has a great selection of discs, bags, baskets and more.
Ian Marlier
Beautiful, wide-open course, and very beginner friendly. Fairways tend to be clear, holes aren't exceptionally long, and even the holes that are in the trees tend to have good lines.
Big props to the staff, as well. The course is incredibly well maintained, and Kristi was really very pleasant to deal with. Thank you!
Kyle Owen
Love discing! One of my personal fav. Ways to relax and enjoy good weather outdoors. This course is great and is complete with water hazards and all. Come on out a d test your drive and putting skills here. Its one of the best in the state. No disc's? Pick some up here at the clubhouse
Ken B
Nice course and fun to play.
However, the lady who works in the shop is very unpleasant. Acted like she was doing us a favor by letting us play there, even though we paid for the round.
Ross Usinger
Easily the most forgiving par of any course I've been to, plus a very knowledgeable and polite staff. Impeccably manicured course, perfect for those of us who prefer to play barefoot. Also trash cans on every hole for cans and such. Go here.
Owen Bradley
Great place for a beginner because it's so open, and there's minimal hazards. It's a little expensive compared to other disc golf courses, but it's well maintained and you can play additional rounds for free if it isn't busy.
Ryan Lach
Mike does an amazing job with the course at Pleasant valley! Beautiful piece of land with huge fairways trickled with a plenty of short technical shots through some trees. Mike even lent me a pole to grab my disc out of the water which was more than appreciated! Make sure to say hi to Lily on the tee box too! Can’t thank Mike enough for what he does to support the disc golf community. Get out here and play a few rounds!
Tyler Gagnon
Pleasant Hill is the best local course around for a casual round and a great course to work on your long drives. Pro Shop has a great selection of discs, bags and more. Great course for beginners and intermediate players. Well maintained and beautiful.
Matthew Oconnor
I have been going to play disc golf the past couple of weekends with my kids at Pleasant Hill and it has been amazing. Kristi is super friendly and great with the kids, 6 and 3. I play for a little bit and the kids just run around and help me find my discs. Always before leaving, which I think is the kids favorite part, we say good bye to Kristi. Great place to play and very welcoming.
Sean Winchell
The course is great! Welcoming to players at all levels. I'd recommend some bug spray in the summer months, but other than that, just enjoy and maybe even get some sweet discs at the shop! They even went out of their way to send me back a disc at no cost to me.
Shane Tyack
Great course in Scarborough that is equally fun for beginners and seasoned players. Mostly open holes provide great distance practice. Extremely well maintained and priced fairly given the location. Tee times are required which leads to less backup on busy days. Be on time and keep your group under 5 and you will have a great time 👍 …
Jack Daniels
Incredible disc golf course. Well-maintained holes, neat pro shop with friendly staff!
Jim Tarro
Amazing open course, fantastic pro shop, friendly people! We went with a family of four and my daughters had a blast (9 and 5). Only downside is the mosquitos are no joke but wear bug spray and you should be good.
Lisa Morales
Had the most amazing morning playing 18 holes at Pleasant Hill! One of the prettiest courses we’ve ever played- very green, lots of trees. Par on target! Staff was super friendly- highly recommend!
Crunk Craptastic1
Great course for beginners. Bad customer service.
Once you get started the course is well maintained and nice to play on. Not many hard shots, mostly straight. Great to work on distance. Good for beginners.
Sad to say the customer service in the brief time it takes to check in stayed with me for a few holes. Person behind the counter was not to be bothered and had no patience for this first time player.
JD Abdinoor
I saw a post on their Instagram showing a nice and swirly TSA Animus. I called the pro-shop asking if they ship discs, Kristi said absolutely. She was kind enough to take pictures of the discs I was interested in and provide the weight of the discs. By the time I made up my mind, Kristi already started to leave to ship out other discs,. She turned around, completed my order and shipped it that day. I received 3 awesome swirly Animus the next day! Thank you again for your help, it was appreciated!
laurie kennie
Had a fantastic experience at Pleasant Hill Disc golf!! It was our first time playing! The owner was so friendly and welcoming . She gave us some tips which were helpful too! Can’t wait to go back!
James Barner
Great course! More open fairways than technical, but plenty of par 5 holes to air out your drivers. Speaking of discs, the Pro shop not only has a fantastic selection, it has resident expert and "disc goddess" Kristi, whose excellent questions about your throwing style and preferences make her recommendations spot on. Every. Single. Time. Cannot recommend highly enough. Also, the new COVID mandated tee times have really helped to keep course crowding down, which is great!
Caleb Spruill
A well manicured and properly groomed course with a fully stocked pro shop, this is definitely one of the premier destinations for disc golf in the state. It is a very open course, not a lot of technical throwing but a great place to practice your drives! There is a clear consistency in difficulty of each hole, having said that, mixing in some more complex shot would've earned this course 5 stars!
The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, I have bought multiple discs from this place at their directions and it has definitely paid off. Not a buggy course at all and you can bring dogs! Moderately priced, if you've never been to this course, you're missing out!
Hannah Galloway
The course is great and well kept, but one of the owners of the facility routinely is rude and combative towards us when we sign up to play. Also had trouble getting discs that were labeled back to me. Will likely go back due to convenience but leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Katlin P
My husband and I started going here last year being 2017 and we have enjoyed very time we go the course is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and very helpful with assisting you buying new disc to fit what you need I bought one from them that they recommend and its my favorite. They remember their customers and always great with a smile. My husband and I don't go to any other course anymore we brought his dad for the first time two weeks ago and now he is hooked. This is a great course for people just starting out and for experienced disc golfers. They have great prices on everything and even offer layaway for their bags. I highly recommend this course for anyone. I had lost a disc in the water hazard of the game but they found my disc and called me I didn't get a chance to go until almost a year later and they still had it other courses sell them and they held onto it for me. They have a rule to let small groups pass by the larger ones and most times this is followed through. You can have your dogs there which is fantastic they have food and drinks in the store. I think prices are great 8 bucks to play all day to me is a very good place I have tried other places but this place has it 100%
michelle natale
We LOVE this course!! Not only is it gorgeous here, the course is so FUN! It's a challenge for me as a beginner and simultaneously a challenge for my boyfriend a Disc Golf veteran--so no matter what level you are it's definitely worth repeat visits. Kristi, the course owner, knows her discs and is a total badass! Love her enegery! Visiting with her and her family is a special bonus at Pleasant Hill, always worth a good laugh and a great disc selection. Can't wait to play here again soon! 🥏😄
D Ferland
Highly recommended course, the owners are the nicest people and the course is always in excellent shape. The pro shop is nicely stocked with premium plastic and unique items. I would give this place 10 stars if possible.
D. Matthew Carter
I love this course! If you need a new disc, be sure to ask Kristi in the pro shop! She’s the Disc Queen! Describe your throw and she’ll suggest a few options. I took her advice twice in the last two weeks. One on an axiom mid range and another on a River driver. Both times I beat my personal best on the round! She knows her stuff!
Dustin Whitmore
One of my favorite courses to play. Big Arm drives and some fun par 3's to try and ace. Well maintained and pet friendly. One downside is during there pro shop hours you have to reserve tee times, but an upside to that is if your there before they open or after they close there is an honor box so you can just pay and play
Kory White
Great course, and great staff! Kristi and Mike have been very helpful over the last year as I have been learning how to play. They have a great selection of discs and related items, and keep the course well maintained. Highly recommend for the beginner and for better players that want to work on driving distance as the course has great long fairways with room for bad throws(I have had many), and enough trees to make it challenging.
Wayne Cadman
Staff is super nice, they have a beautiful easy to run course that does have its challenges! The crowd they attract also seems to take good care of the course and everyone has been pretty pleasant to play with or near. Weekends get busy so if you get a weekday chance you should take it!!
Tatyna Lesiege
Love playing disc golf here! Owners are very nice and pleasant every time I visit. Greens are well kept and the layout is great. Price per day is reasonable and they have a nice club house with delicious homemade baked goods!
Parker Murphy
Ive played hear numerous times. The staff in the clubhouse are friendly and helpful. They make homemade snacks. The course is beginner friendly and maintained well. It’s super affordable and all around a great course to play.
Chris Dornbach
I've been playing here off and on for 6 years. It's always well kept and a fun course. More open than most courses so it's a great place to try your big power throws out on. Even so, a consistent and accurate shorter thrower can still be very competitive. 2 thumbs up!
Nathan Eldridge
Kristi is the craziest biatchhhhhh evaaaaa!!! She is hands down the best owner and a blast to be around!! Would highly recommend this course to anyone who loves disc golf!! Thank you Kristi as always!!!
Quinn Kitano
Kristi was one of the nicest people i have met since moving from Colorado. She helped me get some killer discs as gifts, and took alot of time to help me. Can't wait to play tomorrow at 640am! Tee time online rez system was supr easy and glad to have.
Brook Caron
Absolutely beautiful 18 hole disc golf course with a big pro shop. 9$ to play but worth every dollar, if you haven't played here yet I highly reccomend it! Check out their website for drone footage for each hole before you go play!
Jason Cunningham
Great place to hurl plastic. Wide open and well manicured. 15 minutes from in town Portland
Andrew Rost
I agree with several other reviewers. We've enjoyed going to Pleasant for several years, but the lady that usually checks us in isn't Pleasant in the least. Last night even sucked more. I have a mentally handicapped son whom I have NEVER had to pay to walk along with my group. Yesterday I had to pay. I mean... a group of paying players with 1 handicapped kid and I just get a point to a sign. Its really unfortunate in today's day and age that I've spent so much money at this place and then they pull this.
Mark Levensalor
Nicely shaped around a former traditional golf course, they offer some long holes and some technical holes. Difficulty is generally on the lower end, but there's fun to be had for players of all experience. One basket is placed literally inside a tree cluster!
The pro shop is always well stocked and offers discs and equipment for anyone's needs. Snacks and drinks are sold at fair prices, so no need to stop at a gas station on your way. Close to Portland and Saco/OOB but set away from main roads, so peaceful and quiet.
Derek Swink
Lovely manicured course. I lost a disc on a hole with water but they called me 2 months later saying they found it! I told them I told them I was from out of town so I wouldn’t be able to pick it up, and they replied saying they’d ship it to me FOR FREE! Super awesome folks at Pleasant Hill. Well worth the $8 to play.
Emilie Nielsen
Beautifully maintained open course. Nice set up/lay out. Weeping Willows and pines scattered throughout. Pro shop with everything you need plus knowledgeable staff/owners. Close to Portland. Quite lovely for the eyes, especially when the sun is shining. Love this place!
Elmira Belanger
Well maintained. The lady who works there could be a little nicer. despite her the course is great!
Bub Leclair
I have been shooting this course for years, and will continue for years to come. Out of all the courses here in maine, this us the course I call home. The level of cleanliness that they maintain is unmatched. Yes they do have a few water hazards, however they are the only course I know who send divers in for disc recovery. Furthermore the incredible staff has the job of cleaning, cataloging, and returning all of said discs. You dont get that service everywhere. Do yourself a favor and throw a round here, or two!
Pizzle Milewski
Great place for disc golfing. If you want a mimnal interaction with staff. Reserve your tee time online. And when you get there you tell them I'm your 1 clock and then go tee off simple. Lol
Annalisa Leote
Absolutely worth it! Custom tie dye discs and friendly staff. Course is clean, well marked and beautiful.
Mark Cooper
I play here a few times a year and always appreciate the care and upkeep done to keep this a top notch experience
Ross Usinger
The owners are very nice, and very informative when it comes to helping you buy the right kind of discs. They also have some top notch dogs in and around the house. The course is very big, well maintained, etc. Would recommend.
Nick Nevells (Cookiez)
Just place to try out a new sport! My mom got me and my girlfriend to go with her one time and it was surprisingly fun! You need to have a good arm to throw the disc's far! Excellant place and the people that own it are extremely friendly. They have there own little store which has refreshments and snacks to purchase. Not overpriced at all! The course is very good! There's a few holes that really have some distance to them! Cost to play isn't high at all, very affordable! If you have your own disc's, you can avoid the $5 deposit for using one of their disc's. There's also a breeze there every once in a while which impacts your disc going where you wanted it to go when you throw it, just depends on the weather! Theres this pond in the middle of the field and 3 or 4 holes are along the side of the pond, so if you accidntly throw your disc in the pond, just go tell the people in the office and they are more than welcome to give you a new disc. (Happend to me!) Even people who are better and faster than you are friendly to newbies like me! Great family friendly place! If you wanna get out of the house and enjoy a day in a huge field playing a new sport, well this is the place for you to check out! I will definitely be going here more next summer!
Daryl Byrne
Play 18 or 9 great open course for beginners and nice distances for pros!
Justin Gray
I frequent Pleasant Hill and I must say they keep up on the course better than most. Sure, there are disc-eating water hazards, but that's just part of the game. Excellent, clean facility with a great selection of discs at competitive (with the internet) prices. I would recommend PHill to anyone.
BT Booth
Vary helpful and friendly staff. Great selection of disc and equipment. They also have a super cute Golden lab as a greeter😃 10/10 would recommend. …
Joe H
Basic open course; not very challenging, old ball golf course. Some long tees. Owners are reasonably friendly. Doesn't quite have the warm feel of other courses. Only course close to Portland.
Charles Martin
Wonderful course . Well maintained . Great clubhouse always a pleasure to go there . Whenever I need something special ordered Kristi and Mike always accommodate me . Great prices . Wonderful family runned business . I play at pleasant hill as much as possible . Don’t miss out and play at pleasant hill disc golf !
Patti Grover
Kristi has the most knowledge about Discs than any other course owner we have ever met. Pleasant Hill Disc Golf Course is beautifully maintained and operated.
A F
Tee times are annoying when this is the only course in the state that requires them.
sean “hightower” e
Awesome family owned course and well maintained, I go here as much as i can! I love p.hill disc golf!
James McDevitt
Great place for people starting off disc golfing! Great course to learn on and the pro shop is excellent! The course is also really well taken care of!
Adam Schaff
Well run. Well maintained. Tends to be crowded. Overlapping fairways can be irritating (they're doing the best they can with limited real estate). Good size. Probably the most open course in Maine.
Dylan Knox
This is an awesome open course! I love the owners and its on my favorite places to play.
Heidi Harrington
awesome time! Friendly people... I'll be back...
Melissa Charltray

R.D. Roberts
Great course, wonderful people. Live in Iowa and make this a priority to play whenever I'm in the area. Would definitely recommend!
Adam Stafford
Great people and a great course that was converted from a 9 hole golf course. Buy 3 discs in there well stocked store front and get a free pass. Cross winds can be really tricky here.
Gia Kaper

Ben Rokes Rokes
Really nice course. Friendly and helpful service. They take extremely well care of this course. Don't go in the ponds.
Victor Ross
Our favorite course to play in southern Maine. Fun for adults and kids. And the baked goods are awesome!!
Nathaniel Dutile
Well maintained course fairly open, fully stocked pro shop, having to ask to see each individual disc when shopping often prevents me from even asking
Jake Scott
There's a lot of "opportunity" to have your disc go into a pond but it's really fun and you'll get your disc back eventually. Also, you can bring your dog.
Tyler Grady
The property is great to walk and its really easy to navigate. It just gets a little boring for the more experienced players because the holes kind of repeat themselves
Acheron340
I've never had an issue there other than something they cant control. Mother nature flooding the holes. Still a very open and fun place to play!
Scott Roberge
This course, no matter how you feel it plays, is always in immaculate condition! Tee times are great!
