Wigwam is always a great place to golf ⛳️ a lot of courses to choose from the gold, the blue, and the red. Really nice practice area to chip and putt also great training facility. If you stay at the course you have access to the pools and water slides also they have a great tennis facility. FYI if you play 9 holes the blue course finishes in the back of the course so it’s a long ride back to the clubhouse.

I have to say after visiting many resorts in Arizona this has got to be the most outstanding of two. It offers many rooms for events and is set on a beautiful landscaping and golf course of great magnitude. Lots of things to keep you busy. Food is outstanding and the staff are super friendly and professional. If you planning a great event once in a lifetime I would highly recommend taking a look at this place.

Played the Red course 2-16-23. The practice facility was very good and the course was in fantastic condition all the way around. Beverage cart on the regular and everyone was helpful. Definitely coming back.

A beautiful maintained main building/ restaurant area, many amenities including pools, tennis, golf. The staff were nice, no daily room cleaning, every three days only, which was ok with us but the bungalows need updating. The bathroom was very small, a pocket door divided the sinks/ shower area and our room was drafty. The heater was annoyingly loud so we couldn’t sleep with it on. Our bungalow was clean but furniture and interior were dated and needed a lot of TLC. The quaint feeling of the resort was nice but the room itself wasn’t up to par.

Wigwam Golf Club has 54 amazing holes over three golf courses. I played the Gold Course. The fairways are very well maintained, the greens are true and the course has challenging holes. One hole is quite long (660 yards) but you can play from the forward tees - I did. The practice range and chipping greens are super. Wigwam has excellent food too and the accommodations are first class. I did not stay in any of the cabanas as I was staying at a friend's condo but I walked around the site and they look very high quality. Tennis courts, bocce ball games - there is so much to do and see. All-in-all, I highly recommend the Wigwam resort ♥.

Note to self: do not do cart path only when it's 110 degrees. I love this course and can't wait for better weather to enjoy the course. Thought 110 would be cool enough but I was mistaken. The cart girls kept coming around checking if we needed more ice such a nice gesture.

Back again. I really love this resort. Crisp, sophisticated, attractive & fun and received an upgrade to a huge 1 bd suite with double balcony with 2 baths. I hear golf course is great and wish i had brought my tennis racquet. Hats off to staff & only me 1st day. Doing dinner here with my kids & grandkids. You've got to try it. Superb resort!

Played red and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the check in staff to the starter to the Ranger, everyone was very gracious and welcoming Scott ot Scottie the starter and Ike the Ranger were both super nice and helpful. The course played great. The challenging greens were very fast and tough to get any approach shots to hold.

Wigwam golf courses are always in excellent shape. Pro shop and employees are always very friendly. If you haven't attended Wigwams "The Patriot All American Tournament" you are missing a terrific time. It is held in late December. A must attend event.

It is like returning to the fifties, the rooms are comfortable and yet simple. The golf courses are in no way crowded. The pool is nice, while the bocce ball courts are not groomed. Staff have been super friendly!!

This resort is a hidden gem. We came to the spa a few weeks ago and wanted to try out the hotel and restaurants. First off - the staff is excellent - this may be a four star hotel - but the staff is five star! David at the front desk and Alex, our valet and bellman were both excellent ambassadors of the hotel and were the perfect duo to set the tone for our stay! Our initial room was in building 7B and we later learned was in the older part of the hotel (which has not been renovated) - the older part of the hotel I would rate at 3 star - but the rooms were still nice - just older! We switched rooms because my sister found a spider on her bed and was afraid there would be a spider family in the room. We were upgraded to the Oasis portion of the hotel - which is the newer renovated part. BIG difference. The rooms are much nicer. Actually really glad there was a spider now because changing rooms made all the difference! Tower pool gets very crowded with children and families. Get there early to claim a chair! Also there is a height requirement for the slide so if you have little ones - just be aware of that. I ordered lunch twice at the tower pool and it was very good both times. Ambiance outside at the Wigwam Bar was very nice - live music - string lights - but the food just did not measure up. Dessert was very good though - so if you wanted to just have a chill night at a fire pit table and listen to music then you’re in business. I would not recommend the restaurant at the bar. We tried it again at breakfast and it was very bad. I would rate the food at a 1 star sadly. This is not the same as Litchfields restaurant which I am told is very nice - more upscale and better food. we never ended up trying that restaurant. The Oasis Pool is very nice - it is adult only and very peaceful - much different feel than Tower pool. The fitness center was amazing. They have every piece of equipment everything you could think of! The decor and feel of the property is just lovely. I will be coming back here. It reminds me of La Costa resort in Carlsbad California. Very similar feel. Next time we will get a golf and tennis package. I recommend!

Lovely place to hang for the afternoon or evening. Really chill and luxurious atmosphere. The bites are really good as well. The whole resort has a vacation ambiance and is really relaxing.

Overall, top-notch and affordable golf resort with three 18-hole courses professionally maintained year-round. The beverage cart employees are respectful and attentive, always providing 5-star service, even during the hot summers. The greens keepers are also great people, strict but not complete jerks. The pro-shop is also better than most, large sized and fully stocked with plenty of merch. The cart attendants never forget to put ice in our buckets or the proper score cards in our carts. They always ensure our seats are clean and the cart is free of left over trash. This has been a recurring issue for us at other courses in Phoenix, especially in the summertime. Somehow, they start to remember to ice in our carts in the winter. Probably because it's peak season in Phoenix. Tbh, every course we've visited west of the 101 seems to have the worst cart attendants in all of Phoenix, minus the Wigwam Resort. Hence, the Wigwam is the best golf resort in the entire west valley year round.

I accidentally gave it 2 stars earlier. My bad. Its definitely a 5 star resort. Great pools. They have 3 of them. One of the pools is very family friendly. It has 2 water slides and a splash pad for the kids. They have wait staff that comes around so you can order drinks and or food. Just a great place.

Played Gold 071422. Need drinking water on this course. Driving range warm up area is good. Course has some dry patches, but it's only 113 degrees, so it's amazing anything is alive... Beverage cart lady (not politically correct term probably) was nice and came around about five times. Had lunch at Red's afterwards. Nice day out!

Would have received 5 Stars, had it not been so wet. Nearly all the sand bunkers were soaked. 1st hole, right side green bunker had an 1 inch of water in it. Such a waste of water, in times where every drop counts. Their Grounds Keeper, should have known it was going to be over cast, and cooler today, therefore, they should not have watered, like it was going to be 110 degrees. These golf course managers need to start saving water where they can; sand bunkers, do not need water.

Pro shop is hard to find. Sits right behind Reds restaurant. 3 beautiful 18 hole golf courses. Golf carts and clubs to rent are plentiful and of good quality. Good food at Reds.

Really nice golf course, and a good value. I played the Gold course around 2:30 on a Tuesday, paid $70, and got a 3.5 hour round in. The staff was very accommodating, and the course was in great shape. It is a tough course with a lot of elevation changes on the greens, so make sure you are aware of the challenge!

We have visited the resort multiple times. We are local so it’s nice to have a place like this that’s close by to spend a night or two. The restaurants are great and the out door music is awesome on the weekends.

My wife and I stayed at the Wigwam in July of this year. Our week long trip of golf started out at the red Course at Wigwam. Unfortunately my golf bag was not strapped into the cart correctly causing my bag to fall out and my driver shaft to snap. I am mediately got in touch with Tyler at the wigwam pro shop who apologized for the incident and ordered me a brand new driver. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend.

Surprisingly hard for what seems like an easy course! Great fairways and greens. Greens are small and protected by deep bunkers. I had a great time, check it out if you get a chance.

All golf courses are stressed at this time of year, the heat is just brutal. I played the red course on this visit. The course is in fair condition and it's a fairly easy course. The sand traps are like concrete and your ball will likely roll out. The course is very forgiving, I only lost 1 ball, and that was on the 16th hole in someone's backyard. Bring water in the heat, sometimes there are gaps in the beverage cart service. I will definitely play here again.

A lot of bare areas in the fairways of the Gold course. A couple spotty issues on some greens (which are firm but slow). Love the layout, course is very challenging and staff was excellent. Pace of play right at 4 hours. You get what you pay for here ($60 to play). If you’re looking for a better experience, you’re going to have to pay more. 3 stars for fairway conditions.

Most of this course is in great shape, tee boxes and fairways are perfect. Plenty of grass on the greens but that's the problem. If you are looking for fast greens that roll smooth, keep moving and don't waste your time for another month or so. Probably not improving until October when they don't have to "protect" them anymore per the players assistant that day. Three stars because the part of the course half your shots occur on are the worst part of the course, thus half the score. I love this course and the layout but the greens are enough to make me choose elsewhere to play right now.

They have 3 courses that are older/more traditional mid century golf. Plays fair and the customer service is top notch. Great dining after the round at Reds or just down the street at Old Pueblo Cafe or Park Cafe.

As a rewards member, I've been playing the Wigwam Golf Club's courses for many years. Yesterday's conditions were different than I remember them ever being. The Red course is my favorite by far, but the greens were less than what I'd expect from a nearly $100 round of golf. I could barely get my metal divot tool into the surface of the green, much less find a single ball mark on any of the greens. Short irons were literally bouncing into the air off the green and soaring over. My buddies ball even bounced into the air out of a bunker and landed on the green, point being there was no measurable amount of sand present. Disappointed to say the least, especially considering I really do love this course layout. It's going to be awhile till I'm back out there. I'll change / update this review if and when the conditions improve. The greens need to be aerated and sanded badly, and the bunkers need to be filled. Also, please stop cutting the cups on hillsides. There were two holes yesterday where it was almost impossible to keep the ball near the hole because of the conditions of the greens.

Played this course countless times and never have i ever seen the course in bad shape. With 3 courses and a classical tree lined fairways (very little desert to damage your clubs on), its definitely one of my favorites. Prices never seem outrages there either.

Booked a tee time online. The online price to play the Gold course was listed at $89.00. When we got there and checked in we were charged $106.00. We asked the young man behind the counter why the difference in price he said "it depends when you play". We booked online for a price. The pro was not available to dispute what we were charged. Recommend that you call for at tee time and confirm price. Course was not a $106.00 course. We played Verrado Victory course the other day for less and is a much better course. The bar tender that served us was very friendly and professional. To her, I say thank you. Played on 11 December 2020.

Came during summer so was very hot but that's just fine. The pool was great but we couldn't get a cabana and pool was ultra crowded before noon but was still a great experience if not a bit challenging to stay comfortable. Dining experience was excellent indoors but the outdoor BBQ food was at carnival level at best being precooked and wrapped in foil. Also the BBQ hotdog buns were compressed and I did not It like that. The fireworks were vibrant and satisfied my two year old son (it was his first fireworks display up close.) Room service and transportation was speedy and courteous with minimal waiting. Cost was great. The only issue I really had was that outdoor BBQ experience.

This is one of the finest golf courses I've played yet in the Phoenix area. Course was in wonderful condition especially considering there was a heat wave going on. Very nice club house and pro shop. Touch screen GPS in the golf cart was great and lots of ice in the cooler! The ranger even came around with cold wet towels. Life saver when it was 112 degrees out there! I'd play this course again anytime.

Gold Course was in great shape tee to green. Greens were firm, fast and smooth, some the best I've played. Tee boxes are level, no dead spots well maintained. Plenty of room on the fairways, course is fair and no tricked up holrs. Ate at the restaurant Red's. Good food, decent number of options. Service was friendly but food was a bit slow.

Old school historic resort. Beautiful grounds. Oasis in the desert. Nice to stay in hotel that's not cookie cutter. Has a world class golf course. Several restaurants, good service. Also has a conference center.

Very flat, and few memorable holes, but dog legs and tricky elevated greens increase the level of difficulty. Blue course was lush and pleasant and bunkers have more sand than most local courses.

On the pricer side in the winter but all course are in great shape, in the summer it’s a bargain but courses get kinda rough in my experience. One of the nicer courses on the west side Range balls are included in green fee as well as a cart though which are welcomed

The place has its historical flare but the rooms show this. The first room we had the A/C did not work so they moved us to a room with a/c but the unit was really loud. The food at the bar was ok but the service was slow. All and all the pool is great the Salon and Spa are fantastic the golf course is very enjoyable. So saying this I would probably still stay here again

Course was great and play was mildly difficult. The refreshment cart worker was extremely rude and it is disappointing as it really killed the mood we were in after 9 holes of play. We did not have the same level of enjoyment for the back 9 and I will not be returning to the course again.

We went to Red's for lunch, something we have done many times before. However, today's service was not up to the resorts standards and the food was what I could get at any sports bar only way over priced. Then when it came time to pay the bill they took our credit card but when they came back they had hand written everything out as supposedly the the credit card system was down. At no time was this information shared with us as it should be. I suggest Wigwam take a good hard look at Red's and the way they conduct business, for the rest of you, I suggest you go somewhere else.

Played the Patriot course. Nice and short but greens were a 7 stimp at best. Great food at the bar. Had the big pig. Must try if you're into pulled pork and loads of bacon. Staff were all friendly and warm.

The course is in amazing shape. The ground crew really has done an amazing job and with college tournaments going on there they really stepped it up from the over seeding. The greens were really smooth and held approach shots the way a green should. I'm not a fan of hitting it short and bouncing shots on. Get out there a go flag hunting!

An oasis from the heat. We came down to celebrate our birthdays and happened to select the hottest week of the year. The room was huge, the staff was outstanding and there were no crowds. Having a great resort like this almost to ourself is amazing.

I feel a deep, almost spiritual connection to Arizona while I play this course. It has a distinct feel of “old Arizona” emanating from the pristine canals and old growth eucalyptus and pines. Think Beverly Hills circa 1936, that’s what this course feels like. Enjoy the day but buckle up, at 7600 yards it’s not a play thing!

Absolute stunner! I had heard some good things about this golf resort, and I can say it surpassed my expectations. I played two of the three golf courses -- the Gold Course and the Patriot. Both were challenging and beautiful. This is going to be a staple on my agenda anytime I'm back in the Phoenix area.

Loved the secluded area that we got. Our room was on the golf course. The only down side to our room was no patio. The other 2 rooms next to ours had a patio. Now I know for next time.

We were disappointed. Been here before and it was so good but this time when we ordered the Big Pig the pork patty wasn't cooked all the way and the bottom bun was soggy. Had them cook it longer and it still wasn't cooked all the way. They did take it iff our bill but I'd have rather had a well cooked burger.

Played the red course, pace was good and the course was in great shape, verry green, all grass between fairways, has some tuff holes that chalanges you with shot placement, if you a long hitter may not be useing your driver off every tee.

2 months ago we were there for a Marriage Retreat with our church and paid for an extra night. Both rooms we encountered cockroaches and spiders. They tried to make it right and we were willing to give them a second chance but overall we were dissatisfied with their response.

Man, I really enjoying coming out here to play. This winter has been so disappointing as the greens are in poor condition. They probably are running at a 10 but are very bumpy. You can hit great putts out here and watch them plinko there way to the hole.

Played the Blue Course in October. It was in great shape. This is an older RTJ design and the signature filiagred shaped bunkers are absent. The site is flat but the greens are elevated but not as large and udulating as RTJ's later courses. The Gold Course is the signature course on the site but it was closed. Had a hamburger at Reds on site after my round. It was fantastic.

If $4.25 beer is ok with you, then this may the course for you. If a 5 hour round and a staff that does nothing to speed up play is ok with you, this may be the course for you. The course is in great shape though.

Oversold! Wigwam has 2 solid courses. All the 18th holes, are the worst on the course, poorly designed. They hold a lot of tournaments, are always highly rated (?), but there are better courses in the West Valley for the money.

My Big Concern is on the Red course on the 13th green you need signage tell people that it's not appropriate to walk your dogs, ride your bikes up and down the sidewalk, or just walk while paying customers are trying to play golf.

What a beautiful slice of Arizona. The facilities were kept up very well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rental clubs were top-notch, including a Scotty Cameron putter. The red course made me feel like I was back in Minnesota. The rough was lush and forgiving. I know because I was in it, my fair share. The greens were true and fast. Wigwam is now on my must play next trip list.
