TPC Scottsdale, consisting of two courses (Champions and Stadium) is easily one of the beat courses here in Arizona. Although one of the highest prices around, you get the full experience. The courses are extremely well maintained, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the carts are in great condition, which includes Bluetooth and GPS for a better experience. Parking isn't too bad, and the restaurant inside has ample seating. There are a few water stations and bathroom spots on the course. If you're willing to spend $300+ and have one of the best courses under your belt, play here at least once.

Let me tell you about my experience attending the Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale. It was like nothing I've ever seen before - and I'm not just talking about the golf. First off, the atmosphere was electric. There were people everywhere, all dressed in their loudest and proudest golf gear (think neon pants and ridiculous hats). It was like a fashion show gone wrong, but in the best possible way. I mean, who knew plaid and polka dots could look so good together? The tournament itself was intense. The players were clearly feeling the pressure, and the crowds were not exactly shy about making their presence known. Every time someone took a shot, you could hear a collective gasp or cheer from the thousands of people packed into the stands. But let's talk about the infamous 16th hole. This is where the real magic happened. The stadium seating, the raucous crowds, the chanting and cheering - it was like a mini Super Bowl. The players had to be feeling the pressure, but they seemed to be handling it like pros. And let's just say that the fans had a few beverages to help them get into the spirit. Now, I will say that attending the Waste Management Open is not for the faint of heart. There were lines for everything - the bathrooms, the food, the drinks. And let's just say that porta-potties are not exactly my idea of luxury accommodations. But hey, when you're having that much fun, a little discomfort is a small price to pay. All in all, attending the Waste Management Open at TPC Scottsdale was an experience I'll never forget. The golf was great, but the atmosphere was even better. If you're looking for a wild and crazy golf tournament, this is the one for you. Just make sure to bring your best golf gear and your strongest liver.

Great experience if you’re a golf fan as everyone knows this course (though keep in mind the grandstands aren’t up year-round so you may have to use your imagination on some holes). Some of the most challenging greens and pin placements I’ve ever seen but that’s not the course’s fault. Water being available every 3 holes is a great touch when dealing with the Arizona heat.

Not sure how much I need to say here. Bucketlist item completed and this course has all the things golfers need for a good round: excellent restaurant for pre or post round meals, water on every 3rd hole, great practice facility and midway grill had good options for the turn. Starter was helpful and we enjoyed this round and it’s something we won’t soon forget

Out for WMPO 2023 went Monday and Wednesday. Well organized, a ton of food options and clean restroom facilities. For women, such as my wife, they do allow breast pumps however there is no designated space - a space for nursing or pumping moms would be a great addition next year.

We opted to eat at Torro for dinner Saturday night, as we thought they had live music. Unfortunately, since COVID-19, they had to stop and haven't brought it back; disappointing. Beautiful interior with bar in the middle, with indoor and outdoor search. Large areas not being utilized, and not sure if understaffed or why, but lots of space outdoor for seating and bar service. We chose Crispy Shrimp Roll Sushi, Grilled Avocado, Beef Empanadas, Lomo Saltado beef tenderloin. Husband disappointed in the beef tenderloin, as it was like a rice stir-fry. Drinks were well served.

I had a great time. First time in the Members Club and enjoyed the food and drinks at the 17th hole. Do not understand the attire some of the women had on. It's a damn golf tournament!!!

From the minute you enter the property, everything looks pristine. The bag drop reception was personal, happy, engaging and helpful. I was single and got paired with a fun twosome. Not great golfers, but super guys to spend 4+ hrs with. And, we had a great caddy....I believe his name was Dan. Cool guy, knew his stuff, was fun, informative and when it came to having some fun on 16; he showed off his inner Jim Nantz. It was impressive, and I now have a very cool souvenir from the day. I stayed and had lunch which was also excellent. Just a REALLY, REALLY Great golf day.

My review will get lost in the masses, but let me state the obvious. Top notch, front to back. Ladies, they welcome you. The other golfers, maybe not so much but the staff all around from the starter to the course Marshall to the concession folks to the club house. Everyone thanked us for playing, we felt very welcome. Course, impeccable. Mad dash to get to hole 16 but if everyone can just calm down and play at pace, you'll get there. Just lovely experience.

Did not disappoint. Loved it. Played rounds at both courses, and they are both lovely. Many times things do not live up to expectations, but this did (for me).

Ahhh the famous Stadium course. Fairway more forgiving than the champion. But if you are too wide it might be hard to find the ball in the desert. Lot more bushes and cactus in the way to get a recover shot compared to the Champion course. Greens have more undulation. Lost a ball from just on the fringe on one side of the green and putted past the hole and rolled right off the green. Just like you seen it on the tournaments. Can hear Nick Faldo saying "oh he is on the wrong side of the green it's going to be a tough up and down" "Oh No" and I'm watching my ball rolling on to the water. Great times won't change it.

Played here in late May 2019. I always like to play where the pros play. Front nine is pretty average, but gets great for the last four holes. Strange to see without the grandstands. Also overall course was in pretty scruffy shape. Good to see a tour course but better options in Scottsdale.

What an amazing experience! Truly a beautiful course. Luscious grass amidst a dry dessert makes for a remarkable golf experience. The vividly green grass juxtaposes the brown dessert and dry mountains in the background. We golfed the stadium course when they were setting up for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. It was awesome golfing among the massive stands. Our caddie was a true professional and was a pleasure to have on the course with us. Also golfed the Champions course, which was nice. But not nearly as nice as the stadium course. The extra money to play the stadium course is 100% worth it.

Great atmosphere. SkyBox seats very nice. Good delicious but we did have to wait awhile for it. Open bar. Nice staff. Grounds very clean and organized. Parking was a disaster though. We're had reserved parking and were sent to the wrong parking lot twice. When we tried to get directions we're got things like "you have to go that way" with a finger pointing. Doesn't really tell you how to get there so think that their parking crew needs better training.

My husband played the Stadium Course. It was outstanding. Manicured perfectly. Breathtaking vistas. The course played fast and surprisingly firm given all the unusual rain the area has seen recently. Yes, it's a high end course which commands a higher price, but it is absolutely worth it.

My first time attending. I finally had to take a day off since I was never able to attend before due to work schedule or something always coming up at the time. Was invited by a good friend to attend. We had Skybox tickets on the 16th hole. Perfect weather. Big crowds. VIP is the only way to go! PS- Ladies, please do yourself a favor and wear comfortable walking shoes as there is actually quite a bit of walking to and from wherever you will be seated.

Great day WM open at TPC. Parked at West World then took bus very convenient, didn't like lot H on Tuesday at all. Friendly folks all around, spend awhile at general public hole 16th. Bathrooms everywhere along with recycle containers. Price for Thursday was 45.

Toro was a dining experience. Over 25 people from our group were treated like royalty. The food was amazing from the Salads to the Salmon. The Servers and Hostess did an excellent job of keeping of satisfied through a consistent focus on us. The food presentation made us feel that we were eating among the best in the world. They nailed it down to the detail. The greatest compliment that you can give a restaurant is to return, and we definitely plan on reliving this dining experience.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING A PARKING PASS FOR LOTS OTHER THAN GENERAL PARKING, they were on stub hub for 6 bucks. Order and pick them up early or have them shipped. It will save you an hour getting out of there waiting in the general line. What a fun place to watch the waste management phoenix open!! The parking is easy to get to, the buses help transport you to the entrance. Always a great day of golf🏌️‍♀️, drinks🍻, sun🌞, and people watching👀. The uber system they had set up was great to get to cars there was a bit of a wait but to be expected with a tournament that had the highest attendance numbers.

Course was just ok. Not a ton of memorable holes other than the ones you see on TV. The condition of the course was good from the tees to the fairways but the greens weren’t great. In a city with a lot of golf there are better.

After so many years of hearing and watching on TV, I finally had the privilege to experienced live at the 16th hole during the 2019 Waste Management Open. WOW... what a crowd!? And what a LEVEL of EXCITEMENT/ENERGY! (wished I can bottle it and sell it) Needless to say, I had an AMAZING time at this event. (counting the days till next year) And oh, an extra perk, to witnessing one of my golf idols (Bubba and Fowler) to win the 2019 Waste Management tournament!

We attended the Open on a lovely, sunny day. I walked and followed my son carrying the score for three golfers. It was super peaceful and quiet on the course for the most part. Early morning was heavenly. I saw a Thunderbird (they wear their blue costumes) have a full on temper tantrum with a young worker driving a golf delivery truck. The Thunderbird’s “show” was far worse than the accusation of unnecessary noise during play and my son commented that it really stunk on the 16th hole. I asked him what he meant, he said, “there were cans piled up taller than my head and it was smelly”. It’s not my nature to leave an average review but I think renaming the Open a few years back “The Waste Management Open”, um...you had a full on trash problem on the last day Waste Management. It can sometimes be helpful to look through the eyes of a babe.... or at least a fine, observant, smart young man.

I went for the waste management tournament. The course is huge and very well maintained. It looks like it would be a great course to play but would be very challenging. If you are going for the annual waste management tournament be prepared for a lot of people. It was fun and I'm glad I had the opportunity to go, but there were so many people it was a bit overwhelming. Parking and shuttle service was easy and very convenient.

Easy jump over to lunch from West World. Great parking. Wonderful views, bright, big windows to the outside. Varied menu for lunch, for those looking for gluten free, its identified on the menu. Nice atmosphere, light portions but filling. Full bar and a nice wine list. Staff is a little " snooty", my pet peeve when industries forget they are a "service" industry and they are not doing you a favor being there and doing their job. Providing "you" a service. All in all, we would go back again.

Great time. Played a late afternoon tee time and still got 15 holes in for a 125 green fee (on champions). Would recommend. Bag rental is 85, which is a little crazy, but you get six logo balls. Keep one for a souvenir and its makes a little more reasonable. Staff is very nice to shuttle you between the courses, so you can eat at Toro.

Awesome course with great views of the mountains! The history combined with the tournament coming every year just adds to the feeling when you are here. From Tigers hole in one on 16 to his birdie from behind a 1 Ton rock. This place has it all. Nearly 20,000 fans on one hole (16). A hole in one on a par 4 (17) Ricky Fowler is the most recent winner. The course is always in impeccable condition and the greens are top notch. I’d recommend this course to any one in the area and I’d also consider playing the Champions course located across the street. One of the best courses in the area for the price!!

Absolutely fabulous!! I'm guessing that more them 200K showed up today. There were lots of people showed that haven't seen the sun in a long time. The Patriots Outpost was great. Jimmy John's gets a big shout out for providing the lunch sandwiches. Chips, potato salad, classic coleslaw and a chocolate chip cookie. Beer, soda, water, coffee, your choice. Great people, great experience.

It's an ok desert course. There are nicer ones in the area for the same price. The only real reason to play it is to play the holes you recognize from the Waste Management Open. Otherwise, there are better courses in the area.

Anytime you can play a course that is played on the PGA tour, it's always a treat. We caught this course on the tail end of our golfing trip and for a desert style course it's actually very playable. You don't really get punished off the tee if you hit something errant, you can generally find your ball and hit back into play or even shoot onto the green. This is opposed to some other desert courses where if you are inaccurate off the tee you're almost assuredly dealing with a lost ball and penalty stroke. The course was obviously in fantastic shape, Bermuda greens rolled really well and actually weren't super fast. Most of the breaks in the greens were pretty mild, there are a couple of greens with severe slopes or multiple tears to be aware of but otherwise you won't run into a ton of break on your putts. There are a lot of bunkers so hopefully you sharpened up your sand game before coming here. The landscaping here is very pretty, perhaps it's not all original but sort of captures the theme of some of these Arizona desert courses while still making this a very playable Club style course. There are gorgeous mountains in the distance and the holes that run along the water are some of the most scenic you'll find. The back nine is certainly more open and scenic than the front nine, which winds through some houses and hotels and stuff. But it's just a fun course to play, some very narrow fairways and some wide open ones, an interesting layout, come do it!

After Waste Management Tournament the course was in great shape. The stands were still up so the last three holes seemed awesome. The greens were as good as they get and the rough was a little long for my liking. If I was a better golfer the rough would probably have been fine. Overall it was just a great experience on a great day with a great group of guys.

I have been 5 times. This time I went early on Thursday and stayed at 16 the entire day. It was great. The beer guys kept me hydrated all day. Hot dogs and pretzels is the only food available in the general admin seats, but well worth the convenience. The chanting crowd and great views of the green make this hole the best.

The WMPO was fun as it usually is. This particular day was very crowded, the temperature was perfect, and the drinks were flowing. We go to this event at least once per year. The TPC overall is a nice place, though I've never been there other than attending the Phoenix Open.

The course starts with some great staff members who are very personable. They are knowledgable about the course as well as other courses in the area. They tell some jokes and truly want you to enjoy yourself while you are out there. The course itself is challenging and in great shape. The greens roll true and the pin placement is a challenge as well. The restaurant in the clubhouse has delicious options and great beverages. This is a course that everyone should try to play if they get the chance.

I have never played a TPC course before and TPC Scottsdale did not disappoint. I played Stadium and I was amazed how they keep the course playable while preparing for the WM Open. I was more amazed by how much work and time goes into preparing for it. As for the actual round it was amazing. There was a slight confusion with when I teed off but aside from that the day went great. The course was in immaculate condition and great to play. The challenge I faced was figuring out green speed as the greens on the course didn't really match the practice green. Aside from that the course played very well. I have to say one of the best parts of the experience was our caddie Goose. I have played various courses with fore-caddies before and Goose was by far the most knowledgeable one I have ever had. After a few holes he watched the natural progression of each player and started assisting us with aiming points and how to play the course for our style of play. Never playing the course it was a great help. The course itself is great but Goose and the staff was great. I will definitely play again if I get the opportunity.

I just recently played both courses and I was really impressed with almost every facet of my experience. Good- The Champions Course is fantastic. It has several perfectly placed bunkers that eat up chunks of fairway and force you to hit good tee shots. The greens had just been sanded but it was still a decent surface. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very enthusiastic to provide good service and it showed each time I encountered a staff member at both courses. Not so good- The pace. You will be pushed and hurried. We played in four hours and five minutes. It made it difficult because we were paired with two other guys and everyone was trying to be conscious of etiquette. Consequently, we just played ready golf and gimmes to speed up. I would have preferred to putt out to see what I really shot, but it didn't really diminish the experience. The course is on good shape but there are bare spots and bad lies in spots. Overall- A very good experience but I would not pay in-season prices. Champions is a must play in my opinion.

I played the Stadium Course and it did not disappoint. I've heard the Champions course is a more interesting layout, but the condition of the Stadium Course was second to none. Every TPC course I've played is always immaculate and worth the money. I was able to play as a single with one other golfer and the price was extremely reasonable for top notch golf in the Valley. It was a great time playing a course that's so famous on the PGA Tour. Not extremely challenging, but will test your ability. Choose your tee wisely to get the best experience! The golf shop staff are a little uptight it seems, but the outside staff are wonderful.

We were there in the rainiest day of the tournament, but the covered areas were very nice. Bus took us from and to our car. Only negative was...several completely drunk people there (unable to walk and needed someone to hold them up) as we were leaving that Sunday afternoon. Attendant volunteers stepped in to help them, which was nice. Just wish it never happened.

As golf experiences go, this one is not bad however they need to work on the experience. First off its laid out horribly long lines everywhere. It's cramming as many people into a small golf course as they can and serving as much alcohol as possible you get the picture. Hey if you're looking to just get drunk and being in a big crowd go for it. However if you're really into golfing as a sport pass on this one there's better!

Visited while they were setting up for the WM Open. Have to admit, it was pretty cool and interesting to see the work that goes into it. As far as the course itself, it was tough for a high capper such as myself, but still enjoyable and fun. Read a lot about it not being worth the money, and I'd tend to agree if you had to pay full price, but we got a decent rate when we went, which made it totally worth playing. Staff was great all around, helpful, and polite. Appreciated the opportunity to play the 16th, and although it was an "easy" hole, you really get a feeling for how crazy it must get when the stands are full of fans.

Watched the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Friday 1/31/2020. Got to watch Bubba Watson birdie hole 16, which was fun. Hole 16 is definitely all it is cracked up to be. The wait can be excruciating, but if you get there early you will enjoy it. Hole 18 is stunning with the stands around the beautiful fairway, green, and water. It is an amazing golf jewel in the desert.

The conditions are always spot on, the way they level the tee boxes and practice tee is second to none. They do a great job. This was the best run event I've been to. Better than the World Series or Play off NFL games. They had easy off site parking and 20 luxury busses to shuttle us to the course. It couldn't have been easier each day. Tickets are available from scalpers and right at the box office. I will definately go to the Waste Management Open again.

Love going to the Phoenix Open. We spend most the week out there. It is the biggest party on grass. The Thunderbirds do a great job running the tournament. The 16th hole should be on everyone's bucket list. Just make sure you take your sunscreen. It gets bigger and better every year!

Great course, as expected. I wouldn't ever recommend paying the green frees this time of year because you can have a nice weekend getaway for that price but for any avid golfer that hasn't enjoyed this course, give it a shot at least once in the summer months where rates are much more reasonable.

Went here for the Waste Management! I have not personally golfed the course but I did walk almost the entire thing when at the WM tournament. It is a beautiful course located in Scottsdale. Every thing was kept up in immaculate condition. They definitely take care and pride in this course and it shows. If you get a chance to shoot some golf this would be a good start here in Scottsdale.

First off I have to say that this is a biased review. Attending the Phoenix Open what is a bucket list event. However I suffer from an anxiety disorder centered around being amongst a lot of people. Like an idiot I chose Saturday and was part of a crowd of 201003 people. It was obvious that everyone else was having a great time. I took my emotional support animal, a cat, and my daughter but it was unlike anything that I could have imagined. We spent five and a half hours there at the open and saw six golfers on two different holes. I would not recommend this for someone who suffers a disorder such as I do. However if you do love crowds this is your event.

Great site for the one of a kind Waste Management Phoenix Open. No other tournament is one tenth as rowdy - thank God. Get here early if you want to get into the stadium at the 16th hole on a general admission pass. Otherwise, head to the 14th green and watch them close up on putts and be right next to the 15th tee too

Course was immaculate, undergoing grooming for upcoming Phoenix Open. Price included fore caddies, which were a big asset. Very helpful on a new course to be briefed on all the secrets of the course. Also served as ball spotter, which really helped. Gave yardages, read greens, tended the flag, everything except carry your clubs. Not quite the luxurious experience of the TPC Las Vegas, but very nice.

We played Sunday afternoon and the weather and conditions were perfect. It was my first round since Mr. Weiskopf's redesign. The grand stands from the Phoenix Open are still up on #16 and I can only imagine what it would be like to hit that tee shot with 20,000 on lookers. Put the TPC Scottsdale Stadium course on your list to play when you come to the area.

Summer means lowered rates at this TPC course. The staff was amazing, the sand was pristine, and the greens were without blemish. Though the greens seemed fast, my gut says I was just too used to subpar green surfaces, like many Arizona courses in the summer. An even better deal can be had, if there's interest in 36 holes, for two rounds and a lunch. The 16th hole was the only "disappointment" in the sense that it wasn't what I expected. The grandstands from the Waste Management Open are taken down, and the hole (pictured) is just a regular par 3.

We went to the Waste Management Phoenix Open. First of all - the "waste" wasnt managed well at all. Granted there were record crowds but dirty, disguisting, foul is how i would describe the porta potties. There were plenty of them and some were even in tents so as not to bake in the hot sun BUT no one bothered to replenish the toilet paper or hand wash so both were all gone halfway through the day. Potties were already full very early in the day which makes me wonder if they emptied them out each night? Garbage cans throughout the course were over flowing. I saw LOTS and LOTS of volunteers standing around doing nothing ( a lot of the time standing right in front of and blocking the view of the galley. 2 at the practice range sat in their chairs the whole 3 hours we were there!) If you want the best seat in the house for free just volunteer i guess?! You expect to walk a lot at a golf course but if they had more than one entrance/exit it would help (if there was any kind of major emergency a lot of people would be hurt or killed.) Very limited food options, meaning only hot dogs and pretzels, on the course unless you plan on hanging out in the food court all day, are willing to stand in line for hours at the ONE place that had mexican food, or can afford a high dollar ticket. It is a beautiful course.

I sat in the "stadium" around 16 during the WM PHX open 2019. Not your typical golf tourney. Think Halloween costume themed bachelor party on Superbowl weekend. Yeah, way lower sobriety levels, rivaling any spectator sport. I didn't spot many "quiet please" signs. The printers didn't come through!? No, the TPC marshalls were more concerned with college kids in argyle knickers and white fedoras barfing on the geen. Plus, tons of random yelling and whistling (git it Bubba, whhaatt!!). It's definitely a great time, just setting the expectations! See you in '21 😉

What a party! Gets busy around 15-18 but the rest of the course has tons of space to watch the golf. And of course if you can get into 16 in a box, well, you know that's a party.

Easy to get in and out but just TOO many people. This is not a golf tournament, it's a sporting event. If you are a golf fan this is not for you ( better off watching it on TV). If you want to drink, smoke cigars, cuss like a sailor, be very loud and be totally obnoxious, then this is for you!

Come down everyway for the Waste Management Tour. Beautiful green rolling hills, white Sandy Beach sand traps that are impeccable. Best hole is the 16th of course. Cheap rounds in the summer here

It is fun to play where the pros play. You can remember all the great moment with your own. It's a good course playing as much as I do it's not worth the winter price play during the summer if possible

It's a good course but usually tpc courses better kept. Its also on the expensive. So much damage even 5 months after the open. They should just leave the stands up on 16 and 17. That would justify the price they charge.

While the course is nice and decent our entire group felt it was WAY WAY OVERRATED with respect to the price. it is a nice course and decently maintained. but we played Ocotillo, Troon North, and Wildfire that weekend and we would play those again and again before we would ever pay money to play at TPC Scottsdale. those courses are beautiful and far more better maintained... i would not play here again period

Host of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, they have two courses, stadium where the WMPO is played and champions course, if you are a plane enthusiast play this course as there are low flying planes coming through the course. We had some issues as they but thier rounds tightly back to back, the Marshalls are not as friendly and the prices are high.
