Reviews of Stone Creek Golf Course
Standard course with a driving rage and putting green. Pretty easy with no real challenge for accuracy. Just grip it and rip it and you’ll still be able to find your ball. Golf carts have nice big GPS screens with also what appear to be upgraded seat cushions (definitely a plus when waiting on the group in front of you). Overall subpar course to get your rhythm back to take to another course.
Fantastic golf course. Very fun to play. Tried the simulator for the first time today and, at least the one on the right, is absolute trash. It's still fun to hit balls, but the simulator is seriously junk. Don't go into it thinking it's going to reflect in any way whatsoever your hits and you'll still have fun.
Course is nice and easy. Well kept. Very little water, no mature trees. You won't lose balls unless you're just terrible.
That being said, $56 is a ridiculous price for 18 and a cart. There are tons of other more challenging and more scenic courses in town for $10 less. The course raised all their prices in order to pay for their clubhouse. Shouldn't have built the clubhouse if you couldn't afford it.
INDOOR GOLF SIMULATOR - don't waste your time. Me and my friend used the simulator recently. We are both avid golfers and shoot in the 80s and low 90s. Not pros by far, but not bad either. These simulators are not accurate whatsoever. I could not hit my driver over 200 yards for the life of me. All of my other clubs were consistently 20-30 yards short. Every single ball I hit sliced. I changed my stance, changed my grip, changed my swing speed... Everything sliced. The simulator is not realistic at all! I don't hit the ball far but I hit it straight most of the time. I'm telling you, I didn't hit one single ball straight on this simulator. The graphics are cheap. Like, worse than Nintendo 64. We had a hard time getting the system to recognize our ball. We wasted so much time moving the ball around to get the system to realize there was a ball there. For a home system this might be decent if you work out the kinks but this simulator system has no business being in a commercial setting.
Love the course. Very well maintained and the club house is fast when your in between holes. Cart girl was very friendly. All around a good time, and I almost got a hole in one.
One of my favorite Omaha courses. 27 holes with little trees and very wide open. Perfect for beginners and experienced players. Chipping, putting and driving range all top notch.
The new clubhouse is very nice. Lots of helpful staff that are keeping the place on point. The course was in great condition. Can't wait to come play 27.
Visited for the first time to try the golf simulators. Staff was friendly, helpful and bar service was great. Will go back soon.
First time golfing in 4 years since my back injury, and it was one of the best games I've ever played. It's a great course and I'll definitely be back again, some spots on the course could use a little work though.
Attended a meeting food and staff were great. Super setting and views. You don't have to golf to visit so go get food, a drink and enjoy the surroundings and maybe a sunset
For some reason, the course provides no water on the course. Even on the 100 degree days.
Played 9 holes with my son on Friday afternoon and the fee was ridiculous, I believe $78 for both of us. We were told it was the weekend and no Senior rates available. The weekend always meant Saturday and Sunday to me.
The courses are in good shape and greens were nice.
Great layout, course is in good shape and good service. Would have rated higher but on a hot day, our foursome waited on every tee box on the front nine. The foursome in front of us then added a fifth player for the back nine and the group in front of them was a fivesome. Love the course, hate the practice of allowing fivesomes, especially during high temps.
Great course. Horrible cart girl....you could tell she had better things to do than take care of the golfers.
3 of us in our family have had lessons with Drake. My son did the summer program and his love for golf has been sparked. My husband loves the game and wanted a lesson to improve his swing. I played years ago but want to get back into it. Each of us have had a great experience with lessons. I would recommend taking the time no matter what level you are at! I can already see a huge improvement on the areas I've been working on.
Have taken multiple private lessons with Drake. He is kind and easy to work with. Lessons are fun, provides good take home lessons and we work on one clear goal at a time without being too overwhelming. Has top of the line instruction equipment to visualize swing and contact. Would absolutely recommend, lessons have definitely improved my swing!!
My husband and I frequent Stone Creek every week, sometimes twice a week. Always friendly staff and clean facilities. But what I want to shout about most is my “Dr. Golf,” Drake. I’m semi-retired, senior golfer, relearning the game after 30+ years. I’ve had just two lessons and my husband and family say, “WOW,” what a change in my game. I’ve got a ways to go but am very grateful for the instruction, positive support, and good vibes from my instructor…and my hubby!
This is definitely one of the better golf experiences in Omaha. With three 9 Hole courses they have plenty of capacity and are well-staffed. This is a great course for most casual golfers as the fairways are quite forgiving.
Prices are reasonable especially in the Omaha Market. There's a large indoor bar and outdoor patio seating with great views
Haven't been to Stone Creek for 10 years. It has turned into a fantastic golf course that is in perfect condition. Very friendly staff!! Enjoyed our day of golf.
27 holes and great staff and good value. Course in great shape and greens are pretty fast and subtle greens. Very busy but still managed to keep a pretty good pace. Darn geese are somewhat annoying and watch where you step. Gas golf carts and gps included.
Had some great food! Josh was wonderful attending to all our wants. Will definitely go back to try more dishes. Enjoyed the atmosphere and surroundings.
Had a lesson with Drake. Great experience. First lesson I’ve taken in years. Drake was able to identify key swing issues and provide feedback on how to correct. Will definitely plan more lessons in the future!
I golf here about a dozen times a year. I usually walk during the mornings on weekdays, when I can get around in about 2:30. Conditions are generally good, and the staff is always friendly, but the course suffers from a lack of difficulty and lots of short holes. It’s still fun, though, and I love trying to go low here. I’ll definitely keep going back. They also have a nice range.
27 holes, decent difficulty, and I had no issues about how they take care about it. I just had a tournament there and the course is really good. 10/10 would go again.
Played this course for the first time. Usually go to Pacific Springs and Indian Creek but had a chance to play with friends and get out during the quarantine. Pretty forgiving golf course. Not to challenging but lots of sand so you have to pick your targets wisely. I was impressed that they've set up the greens and pins to accommodate for social distancing and minimal contact—what I mean by that is that the cups are topped so you don't have to reach down to grab your ball nor pull the flag—no touching. There were carts out but we walked and had a good time.
Drake was awesome with lessons for my son. Did a great job keeping it simple, yet effective. If you want your game to improve, schedule a lesson with Drake! He’s fantastic.
Great course, always in good condition. Driving range is very reasonably priced, almost like they WANT you to practice. Three driving range areas, and a short game area are perfect for warming up before a round. GPS on every cart is super helpful!
Course was in really good shape. Was excited to see a ranger at the first tee off block. Our foursome got off the block about 4 minutes behind scheduled time. After that every hole was a wait, 9 holes took 3.25 hours.
Best range and practice facility in West Omaha. The course itself is not bad - well-maintained but not necessarily visually appealing, and definitely not the most challenging course in the area. The club house isn't really anything special, either. However, it is a great golf course for a company outing or other event.
Very nice course, staff and practice facilities. Huge shout out to Drake the Director of Instruction. He is patient and keeps learning simple and very effective!
I want to specifically write about the golf lessons at Stone Creek.
Golf Lessons Review
I started golfing casually about 4 years ago. Never really thought about getting lessons as it was just dumb fun for me. Eventually, I caught the golf bug and started getting much more interested. I couldn't find a teacher that I liked until I found Drake Lundeen at Stone Creek. He has turned by game around completely. As long as I follow the drills and his instruction, I have amazing shots! My wife has played golf for decades and she cannot believe the amount of progress I have made simply because I have the right person giving me lessons.
Practice DOESN'T make perfect, practice makes permanent. If you want your permanent swing to leave everyone else's jaw open, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Drake Lundeen as soon as possible.
Gorgeous golf course. Fairways and rough cut very well. Greens rolled very well. Wide open for any kind of shot you may have. Definitely recommend!
Great place. Staff very helpful and friendly. Course was very nice they need rangers out on course due to the fact of some golfers have no idea when to hit and keep it going. Would play there again
Excellent practice facility and well maintained course. The greens are very well maintained and in great shape. Definitely well managed and worth the green fees. Friendly and helpful staff.
Love the course. It has just enough challenge for all golfer levels. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mark was especially helpful on a recent issue with a gift certificate glitch. He resolved the problem. Thanks.
Best driving range in Omaha. Too many players hitting from black, play here is always slow; 7-minutes between tee offs isn't enough here because of the guys that think they can hit from black. Too their credit they have made some improvements (cart gps). "Club House" is a joke.
Played last Thursday, walked on and played with 3 really nice people. Great course lots of fun, tough greens.
In good shape rough was higher from 1 9 to another otherwise nice track
Very clean and in good shape. Wide open fairways.
Didn't play the course, but it looks in great shape. Very good range, and the Clubhouse is very nice!
Love the driving range and practice areas. Some holes are pretty confusing and I wish the boundaries were better layed out. Besides that staff are helpful and pricing is pretty decent.
Pretty good golf course. Place is a good place for beginners to actually play because it's shorter and it's not as hard as other public courses.
Pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, and the crispiest most delicious fries!
Great course for those of us that don't always hit perfect shots. Greens are in good condition. Love the GPS on every cart.
The course has always look good and played well each time I play your course. Keep up the awesome work at Stone Creek G.C.
Nice friendLynn staff and well kept course
Stone Creek is always a good fun time. Well kept and clean. Very accommodating.
My favorite golf course in Omaha wide open fairways and not a whole bunch of trees. Forgiving course but still has it challenges.
Good driving range and putting green. Course is open, few trees. Not real long from the whites, but lots of sand. Hit em straight and you can score here.
A bit crowded and lots of geese (and their poop). Otherwise, we had fun. Challenging course. We got right on without a tee time. Cart worked well.
Great course for all levels of play and a great staff. Only downfall is they don't have a nice clubhouse to hang out after the round.
Course is great. It was windy, really windy, but that's how you learn to play better! Great friend staff too!
Great layout. Good for all ranges of players and the green read true. Plus the staff is top notch.
Nice open concept course
Really nice course. Easy to play. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Play went at a good pace, course in great shape greens were a little bit slower than usual, had a great day and I will be there again.
Played in the MM open, course was in great shape. Tourney was well run
.
Great golf course. Has all the aspects of a excellent course. Sand trap to water hazards. Golfers have to think and plan.
Golf course looks great! Even with the severe drought were in. New clubhouse is superb and the food is great.
Way too expensive for seniors. Lots of other courses just as good or better. With a better deal for us old guys.
Nice but but very challenging. Three distinctive 9 holes courses. Good fun.
Great golf course, they keep very good care of it.
Course in good shape after plenty of rain. Not much of a club house. Carts have GPS maps.
Pretty proud of their prices........
Nice course. Would be happy to see money spent on maintaining the course and buying new electric carts with GPS' instead of wasting money on a Clubhouse.
Great driving range and practice green. 27 holes makes pace of play move very efficiently.
Fun place to play - 3 different 9 hole courses - it was so good to be able to play in March
Why not build a decent clubhouse. A trailer that is falling apart is embarrassing in my opinion for such a great course.
Great course! Already very green on account of all the rain recently.
Quality course for the price. Nicest driving range I've been to in Omaha as well
Outstanding course. Professionally ran and well trained food service personnel
Course in great condition, good layout. A little busy at times.
I feel it's a Lil expensive to play with a cart but over all was a desent course
Great practice facility, fair but a bit high green fees. Overall a good experience!
Nice course. Fun course. Great course for one to fine tune one's game!
Great 27 hole golf course with their NEW Clubhouse and a GREAT menu selection 🏌️♂️⛳ …
Nice, friendly, open 27 hole course.
Golf course in very good shape & very reasonable prices for seniors.
Good course the greens were running fast today.
Stone Creek is a great place to golf. Very fun and challenging.
Awesome course! Friendly clubhouse and well manicured..
Simulators are awesome...and the wait staff is on top of it!
Beautiful course and amazing brand new clubhouse!!
Nice ,wide and open . Long yards and all out golf .
Ok course. Not very challenging. Gets crowded and slow play is not uncommon.
Great round, nice course, good pace. Will be back.
Nice golf course but the clubhouse needs to be rebuilt
Absoultly a 5 star facility and staff. An amazing day of golf at the rock
Beautiful course well maintained definitely will be back
