Amazing. Best public course within 20 miles around New York City. Yes for 18 you have to play same course but switch tees and it feel so different. Well maintained. You will be shocked how nice the track is. Yes best during week to miss some crowds.

Best public 9 hole course in the state and beyond- it is so well maintained and the industrial views are actually refreshing in a different sort of way than typical. One downside is that the secret is clearly out and the course is busy so flow of play can be a little slow but if you catch it on a good day what a great course!

Fun course but sometimes the wait between holes is a killer. There are a lot of beginner golfers who play and don't understand how to replace divots or repair ball marks on the greens which can get frustrating. The staff is friendly and the course is well maintained otherwise. I would recommend.

A challenging 9-hole public course with water-breezes from the Havensack River and views of the bridge and Manhattan. Course is super tight, but they make a small space lovely with great landscaping. Golf carts, a pro shop, and a bar/cafe.

Golf course was overall pretty good. Conditions were good. The only downside is the wait on every hole and that it is only a 9-hole course. It's a links style course that's also close to the city. One fo the better 9-hole courses around the area

Great course, really fun to play. Very well maintained and the links style provides a decent challenge (Often windy with blind shots and a lot of fescue)! Great views of the city and a location you can't beat for someone living on the NYC outskirts. Bummer its only a 9 hole cause I would love to play a full round here, but understandable with the land limitations in Jersey City. Already a regular.

Awesome 9-hole golf course! I was visiting friends in Hoboken and wanted to get out for an early round while they were at work. This was a short drive, even with all the construction going on. I ended up playing with two retired Hoboken Firemen and learned that this course was built on an old landfill and did a lot for all of the area first responders. The course was in phenomenal shape! The greens rolled very fast and very true. The staff was one of the friendliest that I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Check in was quick and the girl behind the counter was knowledgeable. The starter was very friendly, introduced me to my playing partners, and gave me a good idea on the layout of the course. The cart guy was, by far, my favorite. He heard that I run a golf course in upstate NY so we had a good conversation about the course and the people he normally sees on a day-to-day basis. He seems to really care about all of them and let me know which days he works so I can talk to him next time I go back. I will definitely be returning!

Course was in great shape. Staff was friendly but my one grip might have been for this day was the green speeds were not consistent. Maybe it’s because of the rain and some holes are able to absorb it better? I don’t know. Overall the course is a hidden gem and if flying out of Newark airport and need a place to play before heading home. I recommend it.

Nice, simple and challenging 9 holes course. The maintenance crew keeps it tidy and fair. Happy to know that they brought back the ball cleaners. Be aware that there is always wind blowing. It might help you in some holes but definitely will be a challenge to go over the water in number 8.

Very nice condition as alwaysand a challenging 9 holes from tips and look out when the wind picks up! Would be 5 🌟 but the greens, slick and fast, are over-undulated, where good shots leave brutal putts regardless. This slows play as we see many 3 and 4 putts. Staff is friendly and everything run good as any course around. When is Hudson County going to spend some of the millions and millions of park money to make this 18 holes??? I have been waiting 65 years! 😆

Edmund was super welcoming! Our first time on the course and we had a great time in spite of the cold weather! The starter was very informative about the holes, several of which are challenging! We all left happy when everyone made par on the final hole! We'll be back!

I'm almost tempted to NOT review this golf course so I could keep it to myself, but that would be unfair. This place is amazing. It's a beautiful course in a great location, the price is great, and the staff could not be more friendly. It's 9 holes only, but it is a great track. I'll be a regular for sure.

Decent course for 9 holes. You get some nice views of the Pulaski Skyway and the greens are pretty slick for a county course. One downside is the slow pace of play due to three par 3's and cramped layout. We saw many balls from adjacent holes. Staff was polite and nice.

I went there to check out the layout of the course and it was quite impressive for the location that it is in. It is located by the bank of the Hackensack River and very easily accessed via US 1&9. Not that expensive to play so I am looking forward to playing when it is a little cooler.

Impressed by how well the course is set up and maintained. False fronts were impeccably mowed, green were actually detailed complexes, undulating and incredibly difficult yet interesting to mid to high handicapper. One could reach the green on 1 or 2 par 4’s with an aggressive line but there is water trouble if you miss hit and the holes are well protected with bunkers in play on approach shots and multi-level greens that demand your attention. No doubt the difficulty begins with the wind, but there’s tons of long wispy grass lining the fairways, also on strategic mounds that penalize bad drives but they slope inward, which for an average golfer translates to a few good bounces a round. This is a course with ample diversity that requires precision off the tee on some holes and presents more variety in shotmaking than most NY/NJ metro area 18 hole courses. You’ll be pleasantly surprised if you were playing for the first time. When you enter the facility, the parking area it looks a bit industrial in keeping with the neighborhood, but inside is a quality pro shop, decent chipping, putting green and covered waiting area. On the course you are treated to midtown and wtc views on a few holes, but the NJ turnpike and the old power station give the course character. We waited on a few holes but round was less than 2 hr 30 mins, which is above par for any NY area golf course.

Solid 9 hole layout. Links style course with rolling hills. Pace of play can be slow and non resident greens fees are a little steep. Walkable if you prefer to walk. All in all a solid course in an area where there aren't any options for the public.

This is one of the best 9-hole golf facilities you will find. I am a 10 handicap who has played the course 5 or so times and the only reason I do not rate the course 5 stars is that every single pin is in an extreme corner on the green. Besides that, it is really a solid layout.

9 hole course with sodded Fairways and fast greens. Undulating links style course with no trees. View of Pulaski Highway. Fast pace of play as it is busy with golfers trying to complete a round in 1 and a half hour. No clubhouse yet but instead a decent trailer like the ones seen at a construction sites. I enjoyed playing this gem of a course in Jersey City.

It's a pretty 9 hole course that is kinda tough as hell. I had a great time with a couple of friends. We've never played Sky Way before and I'm certain we'll play again. The pacing is good. The staff is helpful and friendly and I should have picked up some merch at the end. Even afterward in the Cafe, I was able to get a breakfast sandwich at 5:30pm in the afternoon with some super crispy tater totes and a pitcher of beer. What more do you want from life. It was easy to get to and it's close to at least two major highways. Check it out.. But watch for the 8th hole. That is meant to break a person's soul.

If the PGA Tour ever had a 9-hole layout for a tournament, Skyway would get a strong look. Extremely well maintained. Like most links style courses, it's not very forgiving with all the high grass and fescue. An enjoyable, well paced round at any time. You won't be disappointed.

Course is well maintained, but bailed after 15 holes because we were already at nearly 5 hours and waiting at least 10 minutes every shot.

Skyway is one of the best 9-hole courses I've played in the tri-state area. The course is very well maintained and appropriately challenging for players of all skill levels (depending on where you tee off). Rates are very affordable for residents and non-residents. Skyway is doing it right!

9 holes of links style golf in the middle of jc. Really well maintained, professional staff. Just played in Scotland a few months ago and while it's not the same, obviously, it's a pretty solid effort to replicate.

Definitely the best maintained course close to the city. It's just over a yr old. You get to enjoy the Manhattan skyline while completing a round of 9. Not too expensive and if you're a Hudson county resident it's an even better deal.

Given that this is 10mins in an Uber from downtown Jersey City you cant beat it. Be warned at the weekend it can take up to 3hrs to round the 9 holes. This is due to overloading the course and the fact that it is a very narrow course and you get a lot of new golfers here.

Zudem gibt es einen Pro-Shop, der alles Notwendige bereithält. Äußerst freundliches Personal! Der Skyway Golf Course ist eine sehr gute Alternative zu den bekannteren Plätzen in New York City! (Translation) Top maintained 9-hole course in New Jersey. More demanding than expected. Very varied. Easy to reach by taxi from Manhattan (approx. 25 minutes). There is also a pro shop that stocks everything you need. Extremely friendly staff! The Skyway Golf Course is a very good alternative to the more well-known courses in New York City!
