Nice staff. Course is pretty. Cool ponds and lakes. Saw a snake eat a tadpole. Turtles, koi, bass, and herons. Played in charity event. Food was good. Beer was cold. Challenging course with a few water carries. But open in most areas. Lots of roll in the fairways. Would play here again.

The food was absolutely delicious! I can honestly say my wedding was absolutely perfect. My guests said this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! I highly recommend. Farmstead captivated us as soon as we pulled into the parking lot! Once we walked into the reception space we were hooked. This venue is a hidden gem! What set this venue apart from others in the Sussex County area was that I knew what I was getting every step of the way; they work one wedding a day and give you every ounce of their attention on your big day and even before! The team (Lindsey, Andrew, Noel) were able to answer all of my questions and then some and made me feel confident that my “big day” was going to be taken care of flawlessly. I was blown away by the detail they put in to decorating for my day, the food was wonderful, and the staff was professional and efficient! I, no doubt, would book this venue again for another event.

I can't speak highly enough of our wedding venue! Everything from when we signed on with Farmstead for our wedding, to our actual wedded day was nothing, but spectacular. My husband and I fell in love with Farmstead all the way back in October 2018 and we really felt that this was the best place for us to celebrate our wedding day. Through all of the changes with our date, due to Covid, Lindsey was so flexible in helping us make sure we had a safe and wonderful day. We finally got to celebrate our wedding this September, and we absolutely loved the entire day. Lindsey and Andrew were both attentive and the entire Farmstead staff were so professional. The space is beautiful and great for a smaller wedding, I think we had maybe 100 guests in total. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate with our closest loved ones. The food from start to finish was delicious, I am still dreaming of the appetizers from our cocktail our and the pie bar from our dessert table. If we could do our wedding all over, we wouldn't change a thing.Couldn't recommend Farmstead more for your wedding.

10000/10 recommend Farmstead. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the second we saw it. The service provided by each person was exceptional. (Thank you Lindsey, Andrew and Noel) The packages that are offered and the flexibility within them goes a tremendous way! The food was amazing and the Taylor ham egg and cheese late night snacks were a huge hit. During our entire planning process up until the day after the wedding when we had to pick up our stuff everything was perfect!!

My husband and I were there attending a wedding. The wedding was beautiful, the food amazing and the service was extraordinary. I am a vegetarian and one of the server's made note of this and made sure to find mebto offer me the vegetarian options.

Was there for a wedding. Didnt play golf sadly. The wedding was down by a water hazard bit it was a nice view. The wedding venue was ok. It was a little small. The food was mostly miss. It was a buffet. Most everything was rather bland. The high points were the salmon and the horseradish sauce. The chicken, beef and potatoes needed plenty of sauce.

Beautiful and challenging course in a scenic landscape. There are three 9-hole courses here, lakeview, clubview and valleyview. Lakeview is probably the most challenging and also the most beautiful, with lots of water, especially on the 9th. The course was very well maintained and staff was friendly. There is a restaurant on site with an outdoor patio, as well as a shack selling wraps and hotdogs. There is a chipping and putting green, but no driving range. We enjoyed our day here and will definitely return!

Can't rave enough about this place!!! We just hosted my sister's baby shower there and it was fantastic!!!! The staff were extremely friendly, easy to work with, and sooooo wonderful. Management was amazing, the décor and ambiance of the place is just lovely beyond compare. It is also super affordable!! We did the buffet style brunch shower, and everything was perfection! Highly recommend.

Great place for golf! The course is in pretty good shape and kept very neat and clean. Just a few issues with other golfers that made this experience a little less than normal, but that has nothing to do with the course. They should have a ranger who keeps up the pace of play, but they didn't when I played. 18 holes took 5 hours and we waited a few times on the tee. We finished 9 holes in 2 hours, so the back 9 was way slower. Great place for golf, again, but try and play with some people you know, who know the etiquette. I was with these 2 people who were all over the place, playing ahead of your shot, on the green before you can approach, and talking in your back swing. It was frustrating and down right rude. When I brought it up to them, they tried to turn it around on me like it was my fault...for walking, instead of riding a cart. I finished the same time they did, so that's not on me. Go there and enjoy your round. Most people are pleasant and fun to play with! I will be back, but hope I never see those other 2 again! Hit 'em straight!

The website/photos don't do this place justice - go see this venue in person! After visiting many venues that didn't feel quite right, we immediately knew this was the place for us! We had our wedding here in Dec 2018. Can't say enough positive things about our entire experience. Lindsey and team did a phenomenal job, ensuring every detail was perfect. Wedding food can be notoriously disappointing, but we received SO many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was (the buffet was a huge success!). We kept our decor to a minimum because the barn interior is so naturally beautiful. Our ceremony was held inside in front of the fireplace. Best public course in Sussex County for the money! Course is in great shape, reasonable rates, and the best hot dogs at the turn!!! Fantastic staff and crew make this our favorite golf course around. Some of the nicest views can be found on this picturesque course.

After I enjoyed my meal with my friends and left the restaurant, I found that I made an overpayment by mistake. However, the restaurant manager and the staff were very kind and sent me the refund later. I truly appreciate it, will play golf there and visit the restaurant again if possible.

Great course. Grumpy guy in the car driving around telling you to speed up for absolutely no reason. I probably won't go back because of him. So grumpy and arrogant and wouldn't listen to us.

The rating is for the golf course and the outdoor dining we did for lunch. There are 27 holes there, we played them all, but the first 18 we're the best, lots of water on that course. I am an amateur golfer and despite the somewhat narrow fairways, shot one of my best rounds on the back nine. The course is a far drive from Bergen county, but it's scenic, easy to get to, and the staff was very friendly. They even had a large golf outing while we were there and we were still accommodated and treated very well for our golf foursome. The course was in good shape, the greens firm and a little slowed due to recent rains probably, and there were workers visibly manicuring and maintaining the course which was good to see.

What is not to LOVE about Farmstead Golf Course? This place IS THE BEST VALUE IN NORTH JERSEY for golf! I am happy to say I've played here at least 25 times and each time I enjoy it more and more! Great staff, friendly cart guys, the kids in the Pro-Shop are great and a starter who is actually calm and nice! I am like a "member" here even though it is a Public course. Great course for learning the game because it is not Super-tough. Always alot of weddings happening too, so that must be good also. And after your round, the food is great and the 19th hole is very quaint and rustic! A great Bar with burgers and delicious food. I Love Farmstead! Go here and give them a try - MUCH MORE Customer centric and friendly than Hidden Acres in Sandyston Township.

Came here for a wedding. The place was gorgeous. Very well decorated and had a slight rustic feel. The staff really took care of all the guests. The bride and groom also said they were very helpful. The food was good. Apps were plentiful during the cocktail hour. Open bar was open. I would definitely go here again.

We had our wedding here on 5/26/19 and every last detail was perfect! We had a buffet style dinner and all of our guests were very happy with the food. The team at Farmstead had everything set up perfectly and they were responsive during every step of the even planning. Whenever I turned around they were there to help and my vendors mentioned how easy it was to work with the team. I wish I could relive the whole day over again. We were lucky enough to have great weather and the set at the lake and inside was great! All of our guests raved about how beautiful it was and I will be returning soon for other events! Great job everyone - thanks for helping to make our day so special!

I was here for a wedding and had a fantastic time. The setting is very quaint and rustic. The wedding was outside by the golf course and had lovely views. The upstairs party room was private and cozy. The deck was really nice to stand out on and look at the fall trees. The staff did a great job and the food was delicious.

Lovely wedding reception. Polite, helpful and friendly staff. Great cocktail hour, many choices in abundance. Best wedding cake I ever ate! Shrimp cocktail was amazing, a little spicy. Only disappointment was main course, chef has heavy hand with pepper, but prime meat, my fillet cut with butter knife extremely tender and cooked to perfection. Fabulous views, very clean and organized. Quaint, rustic country, and eligant atmosphere.

Long story short. We had our wedding here in June. It ended up raining but Lindsey and her staff made sure to make our day perfect. The food is DELICIOUS. Bridal suite is perfect size. Open windows in the room with dance floor has beautiful views of golf course and pond. Affordable wedding package. Beautiful venue. I loved everything about this place.

Nice local golf course very scenic not too tough from white tees, blue tees for a experts only...easy walk decent conditions, reasonable rates, can get crowded in nice weather.Friendly staff, our go to course for last minute let's go days. No forced carries off tees makes it fun for casual golfers, but challenging par threes will test better players. Great scenery, nice bar...it's a winner on many levels

I absolutely love this course! First full course my husband took me to before we were married and I started taking up golf. 4 years ago and I still enjoy it. My 1 and only issue is pace of play here. We've had decent timed rounds, but more long ones. Longest was 6 hrs and 13 minutes 2 years ago. This season was just shy of 5 hours. There will always be groups everywhere, who spend too much time looking for a ball that's obviously gone, and playing from tees they have no business on. But the groups have to be sent out differently. Waiting on a tee box for 9 minutes is distracting to your own game.

Only played 9 holes but the course was beautiful with some challenging holes. Pretty forgiving if you have an occasional miss hit. Makes for a fun day out in the course of you are an average golfer

Nice course, that's about it. Nobody around, carry your own bag to the cart, then someone comes over to challenge you and ask for a receipt... Then spend the game playing around the grounds keepers that WILL NOT stop at all for players... So annoyed I started using them for target practice... Where is management in this place??? Besides the nice cashiers at the pro shop everyone else is just rude and arrogant...

(Food review only) We come here just for the food and are never disappointed, always tasty and always fresh, and you can’t beat the scenery. Go on a warm day and sit outside for full service and a serene setting. The burgers are awesome. Their buffet setups for holidays are also excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious!!! But a little over priced. We went for a mother's day brunch which was really nice. One suggestion... Invest in smaller plates for things like buffet style meals. Not only does it encourage less wasted food, but smaller plates would fit on the table easier.

Beautiful, and fun to play. This is my go to golf spot in North New Jersey. With 3 nines, there is a variety of play options to keep it fresh and interesting. The Lake View nine can be a little unforgiving with all of the water, but with the gorgeous views, I have no problem losing a few balls in the Lake.

My friend was married here and everything was beautiful. The views were amazing. The staff was getting helpful to the bride and bridal party. After the ceremony, the spaces used for the reception and cocktail hour were beautiful.

I don't even know where to start with all of the amazing things I can say about Andrew, Noelle, Lindsey, Jim and the rest of the amazing staff and our experience here! We were married here October 7th. Being in the wedding industry myself I have been to just about every wedding venue in the tristate area and I am SO happy we chose Farmstead for our big day! We had our ceremony outside at the gazebo and it was absolutely perfect. The food is outstanding and the pride Jim, the chef, puts into his dishes is something more venues should be doing. You are not just another wedding here. Every detail is perfected and to your liking. Our guests raved about the food and we of course are as well! The service is unreal and Andrew, Noelle & Lindsey will do whatever it takes to ensure your day comes together as you envision. The support doesn't end on the day of the wedding, Noelle our maitre d went above and beyond on our wedding day until the moment we stepped onto our bus to head out afterwards! Pickup the day after was easy as they had everything ready to go including a pair of flip flops that had gotten left behind under a table at the wedding! The views and photo ops are endless and is a photographer's dream! We highly recommend Farmstead to every bride and know that every aspect of their day will be above and beyond due to the family atmosphere and truly caring staff here at Farmstead!

Nice option in North Jersey. The have improved many holes and the course drains very well after a heavy rainy day! Food is OK, but not gourmet. Good for a group outing!
