Reviews of TPC Louisiana
Conditions here are always great. Greens roll fast and true. Fairways are perfect and bunkers are well manicured. The layout is fun, good mix of challenging holes and easy holes. Got my first hole in one here on the 17th hole! Staff is very professional and welcoming. And a great place to take my kid out in the afternoon to chip and putt!
I'm loving TPC Louisiana more and more. I used to not care for the place too much. Never reallu felt welcome when I played. However since new Head Pro Sam has arrived the vibe around the property has changed. I feel like family when I go there now. Used to not care for the layout of the course to much as the design felt like TPC Sawgrass, TPC Tampa, and TPC Myrtle Beach. It didn't feel unique. I've come to appreciate the course more and it does give you a feel of South Louisiana Golf with plenty of Cypress Trees and Alligators. Always in top pristine condition too.
It was a very fun time for me! I enjoyed the second round here. The course conditions were excellent thanks to the devoted staff. I hope I can come back here someday.
It’s our home course and very beautiful..they have been improved more and more .. we are enjoying to play here and watch the gather every week..
Great, friendly staff. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. Lightning detectors, A/C Porta-Potties and Louisiana wildlife!
We went out today for the first round of the Zurich Classic. We have never been to this venue before, but this was a beautiful course and the amenities were solid as well. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the great food on top of the beautiful course. Great location for a PGA Tour event and an overall great time! My only wish is that the powers that be would do what they need to do to attract more of the top players.
This has to be my favorite course I ever played on. We were In from out of town and most courses were closed due to the weather. They had to wait until the lightning cleared but they let us play. Walking only which was fine with us. While we waited we sat in the clubhouse and had a great time mostly due to Tina she was a great host. Looking forward to coming back here next year.
Disappointed. The owner, the PGA TOUR, says the TPC Network is “premier,” known for its “outstanding conditioning and amenities.” Well, TPC Louisiana is just another “upscale” course. We expected someone to drive a cart to our car upon parking. They didn’t even offer to carry our bags once we arrived at the cart area. The carts didn’t have electronic screens. Out-of-state residents pay fully double the rate for in-state residents. The driving range didn’t offer yardages. A worker put down new balls at my station in the middle of my backswing. The starter insulted our playing partner upon hearing he was from California by denigrating liberals. The course itself was conditioned better than most every publicly-available one in New Orleans. The greens were in great shape, speedy, and difficult. I’m glad I found their online yardage book ahead of time and printed it out so it saved me a few strokes. Although one would think they would try to sell you books in the pro shop when you check in so you feel they want to help you and they make more money. The overall design is fine – obviously good enough for a PGA TOUR tournament each year – but I wouldn’t say it’s outstanding. I’ve played TPC Sugarloaf and it’s definitely superior. TPC Louisiana isn’t one which we feel we want to play again. Also, after ordering lunch while on the 8th tee as they suggested (the beverage cart didn’t offer hot dogs or sandwiches), our hamburger and sandwich weren’t ready when we arrived at the clubhouse. And they should offer smaller, on-course portions from their regular gargantuan ones so players aren’t weighted down if they so choose. Also, they told us if we stopped for lunch in the dining room, we couldn’t go to the 10th tee between back-to-back groups. We wondered what would have happened to us if the tee sheet was full.
Great golf course.
It's course was pretty nice, not as amazing as I thought it would be, but still in my top four. Staff was beyond good, and was there for what ever you needed. I have to give them 5 stars for one reason above everything, they had a military discount. You rarely find a course of this high caliber with a military discount. For this, I thank you.
Great course! This place was greatly effected by the hurricane, but they've worked hard to make sure you can hardly tell. Greens and fairways were perfect and the staff was super friendly. The fairways are tight and the greens have a lot of contour, so this course has tons of character, but you can still score. We had fun and will definitely be back.
Great golf course.
My first PGA tournament in the US and it was a magnificent adventure! Was able to see and get autographs from top golf players, will never forget this ADVENTURE!
Love this place. Love going here when the Zurich Classic is here.
My son takes gold lessons here. The facility is beautiful. The club house was clean and the staff was so friendly. My son loves it here.
The course was well maintained. The Staff were friendly from Proshop to Bag drop to Starter, Rangers, Bev cart & restaurant service. I was surprised to see that the on course restroom had an ice & drink dispenser just outside the facility with large styrofoam cups available too. Cart seats were very comfortable & the 2 sand containers on the cart were filled with a sand & fertilizer mix. The sand traps, fairways & greens were all immaculate. A few teeing areas were beat up from people not using the sand/ fertilizer mix but overall the course is worth the trip.
Had a great day today at the John Alario golf tournament! The course was in great shape! Greens were nice! Wonderful practice area! 1st time out there..Definitely will be back!
Recently renovated and being prepared for the 2020 edition of the Zurich Classic. Even though there was lots of rain earlier in the past week, and the course was heavy, the greens were still firm and true. Great variety in the Pro shop, and the staff on the course and inside were courteous and efficient!
We have always loved the sanctuary feel of this beautiful course. However, we are drawn to the dedicated professionals, who define hospitality at its finest! Cheers to the incredible Chef Thad! We were honored by your spectacular culinary talents as we celebrated our anniversary!
11/3 play. Nice course after the re-dos of the fairways and greens (still sanded). Some challenging holes for what the land presented. Bunkers were in OK shape. Course was not worth $200 which is what they wanted a week out. 1 day out, the price fell to $99 which was a better value.
The greens are back to tour quality...amazing track and the shop staff and Luke (GM) are all great people! Got a new Head Pro too and he's a big upgrade to the team!
AMAZING! Played 18, two days in a row. There's a reason The Zurich Classic is held here every year! Driving range, putting and chipping greens, great length, flush tee boxes, tight fairways, well placed hazards and greens that roll true. Pete Dye created a gem with this TPC course. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Prices are great if you know where to look. I would highly recommend TPC Louisiana to anyone looking to golf in the area. I would also buy their annual membership in a heartbeat if I lived in the area. I seriously cannot say enough about how well this golf course is managed, maintained and plays. Do yourself a favor and play a round, or better yet, play two!
Always in good to great condition with excellent practice area's for chipping, putting, and full shots. Course will test you're shot making abilities and your mental side of your golf game
It's a great track, don't get me wrong. There's just 1 star missing due to a couple of issues. First, this was my 4th time playing here (played it the first year it opened) and I've never seen the course without standing water. I know it rains a lot, but I truly think there's an issue with drainage here. It just doesn't drain as well as other, older courses. Second, it's expensive for non residents. It would have been nice to not have to pay full price when the course was less than perfect. I mean, the driving range was closed and it was "cart path only" which sucks. Again, due to standing water issues.
Enjoyed my trip much more because of this course!
A really great golf course to play, also a great place for the Zuric Classic, they know how to throw an event and a great party, you have easy access to the golfers as well. Just a beautiful course, and dont forget to look up Tripod, the courses 3 legged Alligator who has been adopted is seems as the mascot of the TPC.
Let me begin by saying TPC Louisiana is a beautifully maintained, challenging track with tee complexes to accommodate most levels of golfer above novice.
That said, a young staffer met one of our groups on #1 tee to inform us of "cart paths only," then chased our other group down #1 to inform them of same -- but only after we had forked over $1,000 collectively.
Before any readers think I should quit whining, I played well on a windy day, so no sour grapes here. But I don't like the bait and switch; it's totally bush league.
Golf has been in trouble for some time and for many reasons. Things like this, accidental or not, do not help.
Ok, awesome is an understatement! My first PGA pro course. Even shooting 10 strokes over my norm, the place itself made the round memorable. And $55 for a military rate was well worth the money. Any golfer who's visiting New Orleans must play this course!
Any Tpc course I’ve been too has high expectations and this place made that with the course layout and play however there’s a racetrack right beside some of the holes which was a little annoying. Plus the rentals costed $75 which was more than the $71 green fee smh. Oh well now I know to bring my clubs to any Tpc or pga affiliated course lol
Always a great time! Beautiful day for an ending of a golf tournament. We enjoyed very much! Bill and Elaine Padgett
I visited TPC Louisiana with a bachelor party. Booking tee times was exceptionally easy, as the people I worked with were friendly and made everything work for us, including handling a reduction in the number of attendees late in the game. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly and it was smooth getting from bag drop to the first tee.
From there, we had a terrible experience with the course marshall - my group included two experienced but novice players, one relatively inexperienced player and one beginner. We had a difficult time with the first hole (I'll talk about the course later... it is beautiful and challenging!), and the marshall approached us to tell us that we needed to pick up our pace. We understood his concerns and adjusted our play accordingly. However, it didn't end with that. Although we were playing at a moderate pace, the group behind us was playing very quickly; by the sixth hole, the marshall decided to let them play through us - a move we all welcomed, as it presumably would take pressure off of our group. However, matters got much worse from here.
After the group played through us, we found ourselves waiting for them on each hole, which was not a concern to us since we were enjoying ourselves. Typically, they would be on the fairway taking their second shots, but there were just close enough (~200 yards from the tees) that we were hesitant to tee off (I occasionally get that perfect 250 yard drive). Even so, the course marshall followed us from hole to hole, watching our every move. At one point, I hit a ball into a long, wide bunker that had no rakes nearby. Out of respect for the course, I ran around to the other side, grabbed a rake and proceeded to take my shot. When I went back to rake the bunker, the marshall rudely told me to "Forget it and move on." His comments became ruder as we played on - "I'm surprised the whole group even made it; most of these bachelor parties half the people are too hung over to get here," "I'm sure you all will be glad to get back to the [French] Quarter after this," to give a sense. By the back nine, his presence was incredibly distracting, and we couldn't even really track our play since any time we hit a bad ball, we were instructed to simply drop on the green, even if it was something as simple as hitting a tee shot into a water hazard. I felt like I had a reasonable round, but I have no idea what my score was since we were discouraged from playing out a full hole. I felt that after paying more than $100 per person, we had paid for the privilege to play a full round, which we did not have the chance to do. For reference, the other group we played with felt similarly "watched" by the marshall, but he did not make comments; our best guess is that he was tolerant since they shot well, between 80 and 99.
Although the overzealous, rude marshall basically ruined my experience, I can say that the course itself is beautiful. For a casual golfer, it poses a lot of challenges, but it is also forgiving. Fairways are wide, and bunkers are mostly shallow. In some cases, bunkers provide excellent protection from water hazards. Greens are gorgeous and play very fast, but there are few double breaks and no unreasonable grades.
The clubhouse was phenomenal - after speaking to the pro shop about our bad experience, we were offered a round of drinks, which I thought was a great gesture. The staff in the clubhouse was warm and welcoming, and the facilities were incredible.
Overall, I would love to play this course again, but I would hesitate to do so if I couldn't break 100 on a regular basis, and I would highly discourage beginners from playing this course, especially if you are from out of state - the pressure put on by the course marshall only intensified the already great challenge the course posed. For those who shoot in the 70s or 80s regularly, this course would be a fantastic challenge, and I highly recommend it!
TPC Louisiana is my first experience with PGA golf. I was amazed at how our Immaculate the course was manicure. My brother plays in the professional Golf Association and I try to get down there more often when he is able to play in the tournament.
The course and its greens play very fair but also challenging. TPC Louisiana has a lot of bunkers spread out throughout the whole course. Most importantly you will love tough iconic finish.
Beautiful golf course. They do an amazing job for the Zurich Classic (aside from the rain...)! It's even more fun to play that to watch!
Went here for the first time this April for the Zurich. Loved the layout and conditions of the course. Love the scattered bunkers and the clubhouse has an awesome design.
Course was in great shape, staff was polite. Highly recommend
Great course, fun and challenging to play. Also, the Zurich is a fun experience here as well.
Rough shape following the hurricane. The green fees should have been reduced until it is restored
I went there as part of a luncheon. The food was excellent and the Bloody Mary was too. $40 tab for two of us.
Beautiful golf course. It's always awesome to play where the pro's play
Fantastic service! great track to play

Getting ready for Zurich Classic. Course is in good shape, the Gators are getting in position to watch great golf, fun format😎⛳🏌️ …
Amazing!
Great time but you need special passes to get into most concessions. Seems to be set up for the privileged.
Mediocre golf course, flat as a board, it's Pete Dye and I'm not a huge fan. The greens were in great condition even though it's still preseason
Went for Zurich classic the last 3 years. Beautiful course I'd like to eventually play.. Top notch facilities
Good layout, course in great shape and very friendly and professional staff. Looking forward to coming back when it's a bit warmer.
Was there for the Zurich Classic. They wow us every year!
TPC Louisiana, a member of the Tournament Players Club network, is undoubtedly one of the flagship courses on the state of Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail. As they say in the Big Easy (that's New Orleans rather than Ernie Els), "laissez les bons temps rouler!" No better place to "let the good times roll" than at TPC Louisianna.
WOW, the course is in excellent condition, greens are Perfect! Will definitely be playing here again
Very good
Nice layout and fun to play, hard to stop the ball on the greens, not fast (greens)as I had thought, but fun to roll. Good stop!
Amazing golf course and amenities. Staff also super friendly and helpful!!
Amazing course and staff Todd, Ben & Patrick were a ton of help and just amazing polite people that you could tell live there job!!
