Beautiful course. Friendly staff James the starter and guys in pro shop. Played with Phil and A.J. a couple of members who were really helpful in navigating the course. Apparently greens are only a month old but they rolled great.

My favorite golf course in Nola! Small green, nice fairways and solid practice facilities. The food in the clubhouse is really good as well. (Full disclosure I am a member and late 2019 through early 2021, they were not at their best as far as greens and maintenance) Updated: 10/01/21 They’ve been shut down for several months now and installing new greens. Members were taken care of with reciprocal rates at a bunch of different golf courses. The guys in the golf shop made it very easy to book and took good care of the members. Today was a first day with the new greens, they were in perfect condition. Very similar to TPC’s greens, very smooth and receptive. The fringes around the greens were a bit choppy and the bunkers weren’t stellar but overall very happy with the renovation to the greens!

Great course just outside the city proper. I believe today was the first day open with their new greens after a few month closed for renovations. Greens rolled great, but maybe a tad on the slow side for what most private clubs would have. Biggest negative would be the amount of muddy areas, wet sand traps and thin roughs/lies that abound - but I would say that’s more typical of the area it’s in. 7 out of 10 would play again.

I love this golf course. On Mondays, you can come to the practice fields in front the country club. You can tee of at the practice fields and putt.

Played the course this past weekend 5/7/21. Greens were in terrible shape. No beverage cart (had 3 guys working the pro shop one of them could have hopped on and got the tips). Most expensive rental clubs of any course I have played. Course has great potential but just some basic changes would have made it a 5/5 review. Their F&B staff was AMAZING and the food was nice, hot, and good which is the only reason for 3 stars.

The staff is very friendly. Facilities are overall impressive. Design of the course is obviously still great. However, I was so disappointed the condition of the greens for such a legendary facility. I’m glad I came but I will not return until the greens are re done.

Nice course, greens and fairways are about 80%. No beverage service on course, and the carts are not GPS enabled.

Great course with a lot of history. Terrific practice facility too. The greens were lightning fast but very fair and rolled true. We experienced a downpour of rain twice during our round and after waiting it out under a tree, the course drained so well that you'd never known it had just rained. The staff was friendly and the whole round was amazing. Would recommend and return the next time I'm in New Orleans.

Went to a wedding here. It's a lovely place. The upstairs room where the ceremony was held, the one with the wall of windows, was just a lovely space. The food was ok. The ambiance was better.

I went here for a business training with a former employer. They picked an excellent setting. English Turn was a beautiful course and a pleasant drive to get to. Ample parking and facilities for a group of 60-75 people. I regret not having taken an extra day or the weekend to enjoy the course more.

Summer heat, but fairways and tee boxes were in great shape. Greens were firm, but mowed bald in some spots. Overall, well maintained course. Will return soon.

Played here twice through Club Corp. 79 on my first round about a year ago. Every green, fairway, and tee box were gorgeous. Soft and well watered greens let my ball sit on contact. Anytime I'm in New Orleans I'm booking a tee time.

Honestly the best course to play in New Orleans. Every hole is beautiful, intricate, and well maintained. The greens are very small so have your pitch and chip game ready. It's designed to have a water hazard at each hole, including an island par 4. Although the area and the clubhouse were incredibly fancy, the staff and golfers were very down to earth.

This was a highlight of my visit to New Orleans. Great practice facility, the pro shop was very friendly and the service was top notch. Course itself is a very good fun layout with challenging holes, if you can control your distances you will score well at this track. Very good conditions.

Golf course is in very good condition. No problem getting tee times. Golf course personnel are friendly,cooperative and very helpful. This is also true of the club house personnel .A very friendly place to dine and enjoy other club members and quests.

We recently held the reception for our daughter's wedding at English Turn Country Club - it was an outstanding success. The staff at ET went above and beyond to ensure it was a truly memorable event for all. We recieved numerous complements on the staff and the food from our guests. During the planning for this event, ET went out of its way to accommodate our needs, and made the planning experience as painless as possible. The venue itself is beautiful and offers numerous opportunities for great pictures and flexibility in set up. My wife and I would higly recommend ET if you want a first-class New Orleans wedding.

Got the opportunity to play here while in town last month for a Bachelor Party. The course was in fantastic shape and the staff was very friendly. As a former PGA Tour stop this course is a real challenge but a fair test of golf. The 15th green is on an island , and water comes in to play on several holes. I look forward to playing here again the next time we are in New Orleans.
