Reviews of Pebble Brook Golf Course
I love this course. But they clearly know the condition the course is in and refuse to charge less. You can hit the green but after that you gotta pick up your ball. There is no putting on them as they are as bad as the fairway.
Edit: they fixed all of the issues i identified in my initial review. Greens were great for this time of year. Fairways were maintained. The lady behind the counter was very polite. Great day of golf!
Look forward to early/mid spring with healthy growth. Best Par 3 I have ever played. Plenty of Water, Tree, and Sand traps. Be safe on the carts, very hilly…. Makes for great scenery and fun.
Despite some repairs being done on some of the holes/tee boxes this was an incredibly fun round! It was so good I came back the next day to play it again! Clean carts/amenities, great prices, and beautiful setting for golf!!
Even driving the cart paths was almost like a hike through the woods. Clever design and lots of elevation changes force you to think ahead and plan your shots however it didn’t feel intimidating to a high handicapper like myself.
Can’t wait to visit the area again for some more rounds!
The views are incredible! The course was super busy when we went but once you’re out there playing you would never know, it was quiet and beautiful! The course is really fun to play too! Matt and the young man cleaning carts were doing awesome managing all of the guests and they were very friendly and professional. The sisters in the club house were really sweet and welcoming. We cannot wait to get back out there!
This course is really fun to play. Some have posted in the past about unkempt greens, but they seem to have much improved the greens as well as the rest of the course.
It's a long course with lots of ups and downs. The creek nearby is very pleasant to be around. The place feels very large, as most holes feel far apart from each other. This gives a sense of peaceful privacy as one may often have the fairway to only himself and his party.
The clubhouse staff is friendly and well-stacked with affordable drinks and snacks.
This course has the potential to be a phenomenal golf experience 20 minutes outside of a major city. The layout is very cool, and a ton of fun.
However, they clearly don't have the resources or desire to maintain it properly. Some of the greens have giant dead spots, some of the tee boxes are in rough shape, the sand traps are now nonexistent, the cart path has tons of issues, and the carts themselves are junk that look like they've been used for a crash derby at the county fair. The teenagers washing the carts were the nicest and most professional people at the facility. Everyone working in the clubhouse was struggling to pretend they wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the world.
Pace of play is not monitored or considered at all. 5 and a half hours to play 18 holes is unacceptable. This is a $25 facility, charging $45.
Handing this course to it's current management
is like handing a toddler the keys to a maserati. They're going to crash it. I'd give this course a second chance in a year or so, to see if they've done anything to improve the place.
It would be an absolute shame to let a course like this fall into further disrepair. I chose to round up to give this place a 3 star review, but it's a firm 2.5 for me.
Course was nice. Not a lot of people today so play was not slow. Staff was very nice and let us start before or tee time since it wasn't very busy.
Greens are in good shape. The fairways need some work and they definitely need new golf carts. Hoping the new owner keeps on track as the improvements over the past few months are definitely making a difference.
Rough year on the side here, but the management is bringing it back into shape. Interesting layout featuring an unusual cliff tee to a Par 3. Friendly management staff.
Let me start by saying this is a BEAUTIFUL course. Long drives through shaded woods is great on hot TN days. The greens are in GREAT shape. Roll true. Kinda slow but that's okay for ams to build confidence in putting. The fairways aren't perfect but there is a difference between them and the rough unlike some other courses in the area. There are a few courses on Sycamore Creek that I played regularly, but this is my new favorite due to the shape of the greens. Sure, the carts are a few years old with no gps, but if you want a beautiful round of golf and the chance to sink some long putts then go here. Oh, and their prices are phenomenal for the condition of the course.
My favorite course, Pine Hills in Dickson, has closed down so a buddy and I tried this course out. It's great. Really awesome scenery and a wide range of hole layouts. The greens were a little spotty but nothing that affected any shots. We will definitely be back. Give this place a try.
It was absolutely beautiful! Fairways and greens need a little tlc but I can't wait to go back!
The short kid in the club house is a real douche bag but the course has a lot of potential. Needs new management, conditions were very poor. Could be a great course if taken care of.
I like this course, it has good holes and great scenery, but the level of maintenance is subpar. I only saw two bunkers with sand in them, the rest were overgrown, and the golf carts were in terrible condition.
With just a little more TLC and maintenance on carts and grounds this would be a great course. Very interesting layout with some memorable holes. Do not try to walk this course, too many hills and some of the holes are far apart.
I’ve been golfing here for years. As a longtime resident of Robertson county, I like to support local business. There are several courses nearby, and none have ever taken the time to get to know me. I feel at home, and quite welcome by the new owners. I can see progress every time I play a round regarding the condition of the course. All in all, a great value! You can find something to complain about no matter where you play. I’d rather devote that energy to improving my game. (If that’s possible!)
Good price for 18 holes. The course is pretty easy to play, a little challenging, definitely one to really drive the ball out as far as you can. The course wasn't very well kept, the fairway was a little overgrown, and the greens are pretty hilly. The bunkers were honestly the worst part. Theres no sand, and they are basically big dirt piles thats almost impossible to hit out of without damaging your club. I recommend taking the ball out of the bunker and placing it on the edge. Overall a great little course thats pretty and has alot of wild life with some issues that can be fixed, the management needs to put some work in to make it really shine.
Let me be clear....I really like this course but it needs some more consistent maintenance and if it had that it would be such a premium course. A few groundskeepers are young guys who have no course edicit either lol. To be clear I'm being honest with my rating of a 3 but thus is a course I hope gets better because it's absolutely beautiful.
Had never heard of the course until recently. Found a hot deal at Pebble Brook on GolfNow. Went with a buddy and had a fantastic time. The staff was very courteous and facilities were clean and well kept.
I am about a 15 handicap and my playing partner is an 11. We decided to blur from the tips since yardage is only 6,400.
In general, we found the tee boxes, fairways, and greens to be in good to excellent shape. A couple tees were a poor due to sunlight challenges. Same with a few spots in the greens. Overall very good shape.
The front nine was fun but the back nine was especially enjoyable. Some major elevation changes which generated some blind shots. Very interesting and fun.
From the blues, there were essentially three par 3's with blind tee shots. That's a bit over the top but still fun.
This course is a fantastic value and very entertaining. I can't wait to play it again. I'm telling my friends.
Had to deal with some liquid sunshine on the course today, but what a great layout. I've played a lot of course in my time and this is one of my favorites. This course has it all, high tee boxes, blind drives, rolling hills, water hazards, driving/putting practice area, and all set in a peaceful woods surrounding with beautiful scene after scene. I will be certain to return, and hopefully next time there's real sunshine instead of the liquid type.
Went to this course on my bachelor party weekend. It was an awesome course, one of the best I have ever played. Very scenic and well kept. They could easily charge double the greens fees, thats how nice it is. Highly recommended as one of the best courses in Tennessee
Fairways good but greens have a lot of crows feet. Not much maintenance going on. Bathrooms boarded up so keep your legs crossed! Beautiful nature
Beautiful course and a friendly staff. Course has been improving over the year. Great views and an ideal Tennessee golf course. Looking forward to the continual improvement of the course
Being relatively new to this area (moved from NY in Oct 2013) my goal was to play all the local courses north of Nashville, no matter what month. Having played five different courses thus far, all of them at least twice, I must say that Pebble Brook is my favorite! With it's elevation change and beautiful scenery this course deserves the five stars I've given it. Making a tee time for this Saturday was as enjoyable as the round we will be playing will be. Starting with your phone call, to checking in, to the starter this course and it's staff are top notch. Did I mention the price? Very affordable for this gem of a course!!!
See you all on Saturday.
Great layout, love the hills and driving thru the woods and up the hills. Awesome fairways, greens were being airated so a little bumpy. Can't wait to play again and very reasonable price.
What a beautiful golf course!! You have a little of everything when playing this course. I can't wait too play it again.. And the staff is great too really friendly and helpful!!
Great course with lots of forced carries. Lots of elevation changes with blind tee shots. A shot-makers dream. Good course management is a must. Some bunkers need attention.
Beautiful course, but needs attentions and definitely some TLC. You can tell they are not feeding any money in this place
Nice layout. Not suitable for walking though. Cart strongly suggested. Tee boxes were very dry and hard. Fairways and greens were well maintained.
Nice scenery and layout. For the price its a great place to play. Needs work on greens and bunkers but as I said for price it's great
The course was fun, but it took 5 hours to play, even with it skipping a group. Evidently there was a 6 some ahead of us (which is not cool). Will try again but hope they keep groups to no more than 4.
Staff was extremely friendly. The course is very affordable and a great layout to work on your short iron and wedge game!
Pebble Brook may be the most picturesque course in the Nashville area, with big elevation changes . While sometimes a little rough around the edges, it is a great value. Poor quality greens keep it from getting a perfect score.
Great course there are a couple of hidden holes like 4 and 5. A drive through the woods from holes 3 to 4. Ill go back and try the back nine next time.
Played almost every course in the area and while it’s not in the best condition yet, it has tons of character and is without a doubt one of the best and most unique layouts around. Tons of potential and can’t beat it for the price!
Beautiful design, challenging, terrific views. Burger was good, carts ok. Friendly.
Fun course. Greens were dry in July.
Ragan is awesome! Service was fantastic 👏 …
I always enjoy playing here. It's a real value for the price. My only complaint is that hole #10 always seems to be flooded when we play. Very picturesque
I’ve played many of golf courses over the years. I highly recommend you visit this golf course and play. It has gotten new management/owners since mid-may. If I could give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would in a heartbeat.
Enjoyable round of 18 holes. Second time playing the course. Worth the hour drive.
This course was the first of the week! It's beautiful, God sure had blessed me too have my brother and youngest son too enjoy the awesome sceneries
Great staff! Fun round at a fair rate.
Love the course and its charms. Clubhouse needs better access for disabled fat guys.
The course was well groomed and the putting greens are a major transformation from last year, and the staff was cheery.
Great course. Friendly staff. Well priced and well kept. Definitely will play again.
Course needs alittle love but always a good time. Courteous staff and awesome layout.
Great course, but they need to flstten the cups after cutting the holes.
Came to play back nine told me i had to start at 1 hole plus had to wait 30 mins 4 carts
Needs improvement on bunkers, but overall pretty good for the price, which is excellent by the way!
Amazing course. Very beautiful course with a lot of woods. Definitely recommend.
Nice course, need to get rid of crabgrass on greens, overall good experience.
This is a fun course with awesome scenery at a reasonable price. A must play course every season for me.
Course was nice, but are under repair. Next year should be in great shape
Has potential, will see what new management does with it. Course does not drain well.
The greens are pretty beat up, but the course is pretty!
Great golf course for the money and ease of last minute tee times.
My new favorite course .Love the layout, especially the Par 3s.
Green are really messed up but other than that it a good course
Sloooooow greens & cool scenery. Rough is very heavy. Hit em straight
Still a project but coming along. A lot to like so far though. Kudos to the new owners.
Great course super friendly staff gorgeous views.and awesome cheesburgers !!
Their food service didn't have anything on the menu except hotdogs. Couple of fairways were mud
Good course at a good price. Lots of trouble so conservative play is advised.
Fun course. Tight but fair.
Great
Love the layout. Love the Pimento Cheese even better.
Very fun layout, especially for the price.
Beautiful course and very good prices
Nice golf course, nice people, nice neighborhood!
Great management and course continues to improve
Wet spring. Definitely going back this summer.
Disappointed is all I can say.
