Haven't played the course in a couple of years because of Long Covid symptoms, but loved it in the past. Have used their practice areas in recent weeks and will play it again when the heat wave let's up a bit. UPDATE: Finally got to play the course with my golfing buddy last week. It was in good condition and challenging to my rusty game. I was a champ on the practice range but terrible on the course. But we survived the reintroduction and had a great time. This course has some tough holes that will test your skills, but I am confident you would love playing it.

I had a great experience at this course! The head instructor Morris Jones is great at what he does. Hands down the best instructor in Nashville. My golf game has changed tremendously in a positive way since I started taking lessons from him. If you’re looking to get better at golf check him out!

It just doesn’t get any better than this place. I don’t think words could describe it. Anytime we play, weekday, weekends, doesn’t matter, the staff is always so welcoming. We played today in front of a shotgun tournament. They had a mishap with tee times, and weren’t able to update their website for booking. I knew nothing of it until we arrived early before our tee time at 9:10. The lady at the counter kindly asked if we could go ahead and play in hopes of being done before noon when the tournament kicked off. We obliged, and played our 18 holes at a very reasonable pace and finished around 11:50. We hung around to take in the multitude of visitors and see what the tournament was all about, and we were approached by the gentleman managing the course and he thanked us for our understanding of the situation and said he was going to take care of our next round, that speaks volumes right there. Customer service, to me, is a big deal, and these guys and gals go above and beyond. Definitely will continue to be my go to course. If you haven’t visited them already, consider doing so, you will not be disappointed.

Challenging course. Cool course, kind of back woods vibe. Bring lots of balls. Could use a martial on busy days. Got a little backed up there. No water on the course so bring your own, and the snack shop was only open half my round,

The club pro Morris Jones is amazing! He has great people skills and knowledge of the golf swing. He has helped me tremendously. He HAS NOT CHANGED my swing but he has helped me correct the flaws I have in MY SWING!!! He has me striking the ball much more consistently and towards the target. Highly recommend Mr. Jones! The entire staff at Nashville National is extremely nice. I have yet to have a negative experience(other than my bad swings!). The course has improved and is looking better each week. Great course!

Had a really great morning at Nashville National. All of the staff was great, the pricing is amazing, and I loved how the course is set up. You can tell they've fought hard to keep the course going during oir recent drought, and they seem to be coming out the other side very well. Two things to note..1, very narrow fairways. You've got to be accurate on your drive. 2, it's a little weird having hole 10 not near the clubhouse...I actually believe it's the farthest point from the clubhouse, without any signage showing how to get back. There is a small drink/ beer stand with a grill by holes 5 and 13, but unfortunately it wasn't open when I came through either time. I'll definitely go back and play again!

Staff there are super nice and helpful, Great customer service. This would be an awesome course, but the greens are bad, I am sure they'll get them fix, but really unacceptable. Understand maybe a few here and there but for the most part each green was in really bad shape.

Played Nashville National yesterday for the first time and the layout is amazing. Some of the greens have some issues, and there is some clean up that needs to happen. I am being nitpicky though and for $37 for 18 with a cart you can't beat it. But I can see this place becoming one of the best courses in middle tennessee over the next few years if they continue make improvements to it. I will be 100% watching this place to see how they progress. Things that need to be improved: - Practice green is really bad, lots of disease on it - but you can tell they are actively trying to fix it - Lots of washed out areas - just needs a little TLC, but the course is really hilly so it is a bit expected - Most of the stairs just need to be replaced, they are all rotten and crumbing to pieces - There are some areas that just need some brush clean up and the views would be AMAZING! - Lots of areas in the fairway that is just missing grass - The #1 issue is that about 8-10 of the greens have disease and need to be repaired - you can 100% tell they are trying to fix this though and I would think that it would be all fixed by the start of next season. Things that are amazing: - The staff is FANTASTIC and super friendly - The pro shop is well stocked - Nice gas carts with GPS and bluetooth speakers - The price is only $37 for 18 with a cart and a warm up bucket for the range (This was a Monday morning) - The range is HUGE, with grass and mats. - There was a "club house" at the bottom since you don't drive past the club house again until hole 16-17 (it was stocked, but not staffed - which is understandable for a Monday morning). - The layout is so awesome, there are so many unique holes

My best friend had her wedding ceremony there last Saturday and I absolutely loved it. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. One person in particular that stood out to me was Morris Jones. The course was great and a fun challenge. It has some cool elevation differences which make some of the holes play a lot harder than they would be if the terrain was flat.

Green are a little rough, fairways are dry and hard. Course needs some work. Golf bikes are fun to ride. Tee times are required Friday thru Sunday.

This was my first time playing Nashville National and it was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. The course is a fun risk/reward layout where you can score and also find yourself in trouble. The greens were in fantastic shape and overall course condition was great. The carts were neat and well maintained (an added bonus there was GPS for distance). Overall a fun and enjoyable day, I look forward to coming back and playing again. Thank you to the staff for the hard work!

Fantastic Course!!! Staff was extremely nice. This course is a MUST play for anyone in the greater Nashville area. Great elevation changes and tight fairways make this course very enjoyable and challenging. Accuracy must be a good part of your game if you choose to play from the tips! Nice practice facility and very reasonably priced course as well. Highly recommend this course to anyone!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience playing Nashville National Golf Club on Saturday October 5th 2019. The course itself was in great shape , especially for being as dry as it has been here. The greens were very slick , but rolled very true. The staff was friendly , and the service was second to none. Seriously the best service I have ever experienced at a public golf club. The new owner Jonathan , really has done a fantastic job getting this course back on track. I highly recommend you come out and play a round of golf , and see for yourself!

Played a round on Memorial Day. Loved the layout, it plays very tight with some tricky elevation changes, but still very fair. From what I understand it's under fairly new management. If they can get a solid superintendent and improve some of the turf this place has a chance to be a really nice course. For the current greens fees though it's still a fantastic deal.

This is a great up and coming course just north of Nashville.... the lay out is fun and challenging with good greens. The owner and his staff made the experience very enjoyable. They even have the coolest golf “cycles” to get around the course on. Check out this great course set in a wonderful location in Tennessee!!

Want to thank the head pro for stopping by during our round on Saturday to apologize for slow play ahead of us. As you might expect on a 75 degree Saturday afternoon, the course was busy. Play was slightly slow, but not to the point of affecting our enjoyment of the round. Nonetheless, the pro stopped by to apologize to us, let us know that the issue ahead of us was resolved, and even offered us tokens for free beverage. His gesture was “above and beyond” what I would normally expect for a $40 round of golf. Greens were also impeccable. Thumbs up.

We are spoiled Michigan golfers traveling through the area to visit friends. It's hard to top the quality and price of courses in the mitten but this course has some real potential. We played in early April and the course was a little roughed up from the winter. They literally had the tarps just off the green when we played. It looked like they were doing quite a bit of repair so the greens were rough. The views and scenery are 5 star but the condition of the course knocked it down one. Can't wait to play this course later in the season and see how they pull through. Would still recommend it for anyone in the area. Great twilight specials...

Challenging course in a scenic location. Lots of long, straight drives requiring good ball control and placement make for a good time. There are also many shots over/into a hill that make course management more important than just a good hit. Lots of subtle movement on the greens. Overall this is a difficult yet entertaining course.

I have played here two times and have had a great experience both times. The owner is super friendly and does his best to accommodate everyone. The carts and pro shop are always kept clean and the prices are always fair.

Severely disappointed in this course. The lay out of the course is not clearly marked, grass across the course was patchy, and the driving range was not clearly marked with distances. I wanted to like this course but was not happy with my experience. I'll continue going to River Club up the road.

What's not to love? The price beats any other course in Nashville, and it does not lack quality. The staff does an excellent job as well. Get ready to laugh because Pat will get you with his quick jokes while you book your tee time. All the carts were in excellent shape.

Great scenery, beautiful elevations changes and a tight, challenging course! Make sure your putter is dialed in, the new bermuda greens are silly fast! Fantastic staff and a comfortable practice area. Go play a round at Highland Rim!

Course was narrow if you don't drive it straight this course is not for you. Rough was so thick and hard to find balls. Greens had a lot of movement and were a little rough on the edges but the middle was good. Course was really wet from all the rain down by the river.

Decided to go hit a few balls at their range today. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Large bucket of balls was $10 and lasted about an hour of hitting. Pins set up nice and spread.

I wanted to update my review from about a year ago. My biggest complaint from then was the condition of the greens.That issue has been all but resolved. Some greens still need a little work but considering what comes with the green fee and the service from staff, this place is an absolute steal. Any old review about the poor conditions of the greens are out dated. This place is great and i highly recommend playing here.

New ownership at Nashville National Golf Links (the course formerly known as Through the Green @ Highland Rim) are working hard at rebuilding this lovely course under the ridgetop in Cheatham County. Country location and unusual layout make Nashville National challenging to get to, but the effort is worth it. The course is a gold mine for shotmakers and can be a graveyard for simple bombers. In spots alternately tight and open, you will use a lot of clubs in your bag here. I fully expect this google rating to rise as Jonathan and Gloria (right guys?) work their magic on the few rough spots remaining around ninth hole.

Good layout, but the greens are in abysmal condition. Putting was practically impossible. In fact hole 6 didn’t even have a green, just a flag sticking out of the fairway.
