Pretty course. Lots of hills and trees. No. 1 & 10 are narrowpar 4's, but most fairways are generally wide. Some have large fairway bunkers, but adequate room to avoid them. Greens were slow and grainy on the day we played. And I found two or three ball marks which were not repaired. Overall, good course.

Beautiful course with nice long straight grass sections, perfect for landing your metroliner on when you pick up too much ice on your way into waukesha. The golf course staff is very accomodating and will even provide transport for you and your crew as well as any pets you might have aboard (limit 60 dogs or less).

It is a nice course with good scenery. Pretty forgiving. A couple of the fairways were really dried and cracked. They could use some irrigation. Also it would be nice to have consistent 150 and 100 yard markings for the greens. Some of the greens were in really rough condition and they were inconsistent with some being much longer than others. Overall though it was a good course and a reasonable price. Friendly bar staff and cart girl.

Was there for a golf outing and had a great time. The service was superb. I've been bartending for 33 years and very few places have that good of a staff. Hats off to you! Can't wait until next year.

It 2as very nice and very busy on a Tuesday. They had 3 or 4 events. The one weird thing I noticed is that, normally, the Red tees are closest to the pins and the others are positioned further and further back. At this course, they had the Red tees farthest. Unusual.

Course is in decent shape. Greens could roll a little more consistent. Need to do a better job taking care of their league golfers! Been pretty disappointing so far. Probably won't be back next year!

Great course, Fun yet challenging, well maintained. Been playing for years. People are always very nice and polite from the clubhouse, to the cart people, to the 19th hole. A special shout out to Jason and Garrett for helping me out! Try it if you haven't already.

Overall a very nice venue! My husband and I had our wedding reception there on August 1st. They allowed us to go in the day before and set up the venue, and the team there was super responsive and flexible. We did have a food tasting before the big day, and picked out the food, and unfortunately one of the items that we picked was not in our buffet. We had also upgraded the beer package for the bar and some of the beers were not on hand the day of. Minus those few issues, everything went smoothly!

Nice course in good shape. Only problem we had was that they squeezed a group in between the 11:22 and 11:30 tee time on a Sunday afternoon. This ensured we would be waiting on every tee box. Not cool. I can understand a slow Sunday round, but not when you do it on purpose. Too bad, I like the layout.

The pro shop and outside staff are always the most friendly and helpful in the area. The greens are in questionable shape right now, but are definitely improving from 3 weeks ago. Fairways and roughs are always in great shape. The range is decent and serves its purpose. As a long ball hitter, though, it does not suit my game given the shortness of it. The course itself has a TON of water and can be a large challenge if you aren’t hitting it straight. I’ve had one unfortunate time where a league was sent out while I was still in the middle of my round. I ended up playing those 9 holes in 2.75 hours as a single riding. The overbooking here seems to be an issue here as I’ve heard similar stories from buddies as well. Overall a decent course with fantastic staff.

Have golfed here a few times over the past month or so. I found the course to be in really nice condition. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. Very scenic course, challenging but not too difficult. After golfing many courses west of the city, I find myself coming back here for the friendly staff and quality of the course.

The course was pretty nice and mostly taken care of. It was a challenging course. Staff were good and kept the pace of play going. My only problem was the number of greens being worked on yet...looks like they are being worked on so would have rated higher if the putting greens were all in order.

Had a fun time. Went as a foursome. Course was extremely busy so we had to play best ball to keep the pace, which felt rushed. Completed the front 9 in 2 hours.

If I could give them a 6 star rating, I would. We had our wedding reception at Western Lakes on September 1, 2018 and everything was amazing. Due to a miscommunication with a guest on our end, we didn't have a spot for them to sit and Chris and Sara took care of it, and as the bride, I didn't even know anything happened until my mother in law told me 2 weeks after the wedding. They set up the tables perfectly, the food was to die for, and their communication was excellent throughout the planning process. I am so glad we had our reception here, and highly recommend it to anyone!

Very nice course. Wide open in some places but pretty tight drives in others. The rough is certainly rough so hit the fairway if you can!

I will amend my previous response as I was upset at how things ended. Played in the Big cup outing this past Friday. The course was in decent condition. The food was great and the appetizers after. We did have a good time as a group but would have liked to win something more. We do Broadlands every year and the winner gets $100 each guy to the pro shop. We didn't see the cart girl until our 7th hole. The staff was all super nice though and did a great job. Not a bad outing at all overall but would rather pay the same or a little more and play a course in slightly better shape with more to win. Also would like to know the prize beforehand. But it was ran very well for the average golfer looking to have a good time and eat and drink.

I primarily have been there for special events such as golf outings and wedding receptions. The food is Catered from the outside, and generally good. Staff seems friendly. The the banquet sesting/service area is somewhat difficult for a large group , due to the room being long and narrow . There is one main bar at the far west end. Washrooms are limited for large groups.

Very nice golf course. People are very nice. We had a STARS AND STRIPES HONOR FLIGHT fundraiser there again today. A great time was had by all. Thank you Western Lake's golf course for doing a good job again.

Very pretty venue for a wedding but very poor food service. Our dear friends likely paid a fortune but we did not get a decent amount of food, coffee or dessert. Food was ok at best. Lovely surroundings.

I'm having my wedding there in September and I cannot say how amazing the staff is and how clean and well taken care of the venue is. They have been more than accommodating as far as allowing me to view it and helping me with planning. I've had several questions along the way and I've received answers very promptly.

Nice course and better prices than Naga Waukee. Has an ok driving range. Can be hard to get a tee time due to events, but usually not a problem of you're early. Single golfer tee times are not taken online, so you have to show up and hope for the best.

It's a nice course nestled next to the lake. If there is a lot of rain for any amount of time, the course is flooded. A very good value, great driving range, best in the area.
