This course is really fun to play. Course conditions are very good- nicely manicured tee boxes, thickish but fair rough, ball sits up nicely in the fairway and greens were fast and rolled true. Nice mix of holes you can score and holes you need all your skills. What I love is their commitment to junior golf. If you have a youth golfer you need to check out the 3 practice holes. On the day I was there my daughter was able to play on these practice holes for free as long as I accompanied her. Kudos to Washington County for supporting our youths and ultimately growing the game!

Have frequently stayed in Hartford WI ( Washington County) while playing at Erin Hills. Saw some reviews on Washington County Golf Club and got a tee time. Simply blown away by the course and layout. Great staff, modest but efficient clubhouse and lounge, very large practice area with a couple of par 3's to warm up on. Modern cart fleet. $49 to play 18 includes cart- walking is possible. Course is extremely well maintained and it great shape. Property is kind of linksy with water hazards and fescue gunch catching errant shots- although most fairways are generous but well bunkered. Recommend after your Erin Hills sticker shock and before you take off for Sand Valley, Kohler or other. Really strong.

This municipal course is a MUST visit if your are in the area. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are very well kept. The views are amazing and the course is quite challenging (particularly if the wind is blowing). Craig and his staff do a great job in this golf course and they are very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for letting us play in our golf outing!

Came to Wisconsin for a bachelor party with half the group playing Erin Hills and another group electing to save some money and play here and it did not disappoint. The course is a fun layout and in excellent condition even after a morning shower.

Definitely the best public course in southeast Wisconsin. Prices are what you would expect for a course this good, and is definitely worth it. The course is always in great shape, the fescue isn’t too thick, and is always a challenge to play at. Staff is friendly. Always one of my favorites to play.

A++ From the start of the day at the practice facility (range, chipping greens with bunkers, and 3 warm up holes) to the end of the day, it is worth every dollar. Course is in phenomenal shape and you can see it from the impressive clubhouse views. I live in TN now, but cannot wait to get back. Keep up the good work!

The best county golf course I've ever played. Challenging, well groomed, and friendly staff. Due to the low price per round, do your best to book a four-some if you want to be competitive and focused and not worry about the skill of an add-in to your party.

I've played WCGC about 40 times over the years and have always enjoyed. My experience this week was the absolute best! The course conditions could not be better-- tight bent grass fairways, true greens with appropriate pace and pin placements and pace of play (4:05, walking) was very good. We played late afternoon, so there were a few 2-somes that disrupted the flow. Frankly, you can raise the fees a bit-- the $27 to walk 18 holes is probably not sustainable. Good work WCGC!

Great course, love playing it. Played on a Saturday morning and the weather was great. The course was in excellent condition as well. Staff was friendly and service on the course was fantastic! Will be playing here a few more times this season for sure.

One of the best public courses around. Lots of fun. Can get very windy. Nice layout. The only draw back I see is that the greens take a beating, people are not fixing the ball marks. I love to play here.

Great course kepts in quite good condition. The fescue gets a little tough to find a ball if you didn't see exactly where it went in, but the rest of the course is beautiful!

This is a perennial favorite! If you haven't played this one you don't know what you are missing. This is a links layout with generous fairways and bent grass from tee to generous sized greens. The tee boxes are all level and boasts 4 tee box options. The defense for this course is the wind which can become quite blustery at times. The price is right and they have a good practice area. Hard to believe this is a county course. Oh, don't forget to check out the lunch specials, food is pretty tasty!

Great golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent condition. Weather didn't cooperate, but they gave rain checks without a problem.

If people would just fix their ball marks the greens would be in phenomenal shape. With that being said they generally roll true and can be deceavingly quick. The range and practice facility is one of the best in the state.
