Reviews of Erin Hills Golf Course
Excellent service in every area. Golf course is beautiful and well manicured. Wish they had bigger selection of women items in the pro shop but I do understand considering the small number of women that play there. Wish more women would go - the course is friendly to our game.
Course is amazing. Long long walk. Caddy is worth it for course knowledge. We had Tyler. Cool dude w incredible insight and a great demeanor.
View is ridiculous. Brooksey won the us open here so there are pix throughout. 18 is the hole where Justin Thomas went 3 wood 3 wood to get on.
Fun stuff.
Amazing place! The golf experience one could only dream in Wisconsin. They provide great restaurants, luxurious clubhouse and late night putting green you want to take advantage of. The course was challenging (especially around the greens) but was fairly open off the tee. It’s nice having a breeze roll through each hole, and you get a great feel for the US Open from 2015. We hope to go back one day!
What an absolute delight. From the moment you arrive the people, service and golf course are outstanding. Big thank you to Joe our caddie and Brian the course ranger who both made our day extra special. Without doubt the best golfing experience in the USA I have experienced in my lifetime
This is a very special place that feels like Ireland. It has amazing food and one of the coolest putting courses ever. There is even a legit Irish pub with Guinness on tap and a patio with firepits to enjoy your beer. I only wish I was a better golfer and that I spent less time in the rough - it's long!!
Wow - just another amazing Wisconsin golf course. Make sure you get a caddy, really makes a difference. Erin Hills and Whistling Straits are two of best courses in America.
Amazing facility with a staff that matches. The layout is world class. The amenities for a public facility make you feel like you are at a private club. Make it a buddy trip soon.
Great experience! The caddies were very knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure your game is at its best before you head out. I was quickly beaten down by the fescue and bunkers.
This place is great! Highly recommend you try and stay a few nights! Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Restaurants have great food & drink and the golf course is spectacular (but difficult). Don't miss out on the lighted putting green!
I recently visited Erin Hills Golf Course with 7 friends as part of a broader Wisconsin golf trip. We played two rounds at Erin Hills to start the trip (1 on Friday and 1 on Saturday) and stayed on-site in two of the cottages. We had a tremendous experience, and it was the best part of the entire trip. We played in very different conditions both days (Friday was high 50s with average wind, Saturday was sustained 40 mph wind) and I will say I enjoyed both days. The cottages provided way more room than we needed but much appreciated. The hospitality both from the caddies and staff was great. Our only disappointment was that the caddies did not keep our bags organized. Clubs were put back in wrong places and often swapped with other members in the group (caddies double bag). A minor inconveinence.
Probably the best golfing experience I've ever had. Group of four, stayed in the lodge overnight, played Friday and Saturday. The bar was good, the dinner was great, caddies were awesome, every person and food/drink at the course stations were perfect. Tough course, especially when the wind is blowing, but even in October the conditions were spectacular. Got lucky that they already trimmed down all the fescue! We would definitely return and would continue to express all of the virtues of this place and its people. Thanks for having us!
Amazingly Beautiful course. If your able to play this course, do it!!! Id do it again if possible. The employees were phenomenal. The Caddy I had was absolutely perfect. Knew the lines and expressed how to play the course to your ability. Even helped the group read putts n all! One of my favorite courses of all time. Period!
We stayed here on Memorial Day 2021 and played Monday afternoon and then again Tuesday Morning. First Class in every aspect. My partner is a 1 handicap and I'm a 6. We played green tees and found it fair. He shot 74,75 I shot 84,79 for our rounds. We had Landon as our caddie and he reads greens as well as anyone I've seen. The greens are the best I've seen. The ball roles so pure. Just wonderful accommodations. The setting at the course is perfect. We stayed at the Lodge and the beds and bedding were awesome. The Patio with the fire pits are so nice and the restaurant patio overlooking the course is fantastic. The setting is Absolutely Perfect. We played Straights, Irish, Rivers @ Blackwolfe following our stay at Erin Hills and this place has the best greens by far.The overall experience of staying on property puts this place on Bucket List stuff. First Class and Awesome in every way.
Great condition of the golf course. Great amenities while staying and great staff
What an experience! This course is epic and a must for all golfers.
Let me just start off by saying that the hospitality, staff, and course are top notch! Now, I just happened to play EH hours after the USGA Mid-Am finished, which meant lightning fast greens, tough pin placements, and some of the thickest rough I have ever seen. Not to mention the wind. But the course was beautiful, while challenging, and an absolute pleasure to golf. My caddie, David Fox (no doubt Shaun White's doppelgänger ;-)), was an invaluable asset. Best caddie I've had on this caliber of a course. He was extremely friendly and highly knowledgeable. Other staff members like Will at the check-in and the valet team also went the extra mile. From the moment you check-in, where everything is immediately handled, whisked away to your room, and your bag taken to the caddie barn for your round, to the checkout with the valet team removing your luggage and bringing your car around with it packed for you, all made for a memorable and stressless experience. We also had a great dinner on the patio, where we enjoyed a late-Summer, beautiful magenta sunset. Now, if I could've just brought my A-game. Next time. I definitely need another crack at EH. I will be back.
The course is top notch. The staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful views, caddies were fantastic. It was a once in a lifetime experience and glad it was one I got to experience. Loved every single minute!!?
This is a true test for golfers of any level.
An atmosphere and experience like no other! Stayed a night in the attic of the lodge. Hit the Drumlin after an excellent dinner. Staff & accommodations were phenomenal. Course is very, very challenging yet rewarding. New level of respect for JT's 63 from the tips. If you have the opportunity to go, seize it!
Great experience from start to finish. It's always a treat to play and test your game where the pros play. One tip to anyone looking to go play....HIRE A CADDIE! This is a walking only course, and I decided to carry my own. There is constant elevation change, which makes for a great test of golf (uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies), but a very challenging walk if you're carrying your own clubs. I was a little overmatched :) But would happily play again with a caddie!
Wow. Fantastic experience from start to finish. The clubhouse, restaurant, pro sho and driving range are all top notch.
We played as a foursome and only two of us used a caddy. We had Alix. She was incredible! Best caddy experience I’ve ever had. Friendly, personable, but 100% knew her stuff. Shaved 6 strokes off the game easily.
Course lives up to every piece of hype it has received. Really impressed with this place and will absolutely be back.
Always a 5 Star experience at Erin Hills. Not only is the course incredible to play, with unforgettable views, but the caddies are all first rate and fun to be with no matter how poorly I played. The customer service people I interacted with, from Leah at the Irish Pub, to Allie in the main restaurant, to Matthew in the golf shop to Derick at the front desk, it could not have been better. Even the ride to the airport that they arranged for us was great. I can recommend this as a must see golf destination and a place where everything about it is designed for a great time. Thanks to all of the staff for making it an unforgettable experience.
Great golf course to show off the beauty of the Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. Generously spaced viewing areas to comfortably accommodate twice the fans that were present on the weekend of the US OPEN.
A slice of Wisconsin farmland turned into golfing megaplex. It feels larger than life bc the 7800yd+ is larger than life, walking only ads insult to injury. If you love golf, watch the final round of the 2017 US Open (or JT’s 63) then play Erin Hills, you won’t be disappointed 🌳 …
Amazing... 5 hour round. 2 hours of lunch and cocktails. 4 hours on the Drumlin. Thank you Erin Hills. No exaggeration, the best facility and golf course ive ever enjoyed/played. The staff is incredible.
One of the greatest places around. Golf is legendary, the food is great and the entire experience is amazing. Highly recommend staying on property.
Cool place. Me and my father and my mother and my sister and my grandmother, her being my mother's mother, and my grandfather, him being my mother's father. Me and my other 5 family members went here for a Professional Golf Association, or PGA for short, golf tournament. It was the 2017 United States Open.
I broke 80 here for the first time, what an awesome and challenging golf course. My favorite part, after the round we played on the putt-putt course. Played the “Snake” game with our group, while having beers and tradition is you must play bare-footed. I will be back every year.
Tough course to play even with a caddie because it's about a 7 mile walk up and down hills that are natural. The course was great, but be prepared for the walk. I found that it affected my game negatively after about 15 holes. Do it while you are young!
truly lives up to the hype. The property is beautiful, the course immaculate, the caddies incredibly helpful and fun, the food is excellent, and the staff could not be friendlier. I got to play twice but will keep it on the bucket list because I will absolutely be back.
Erin Hills is simply a beautiful parcel of Wisconsin. I was here for a practice round during 2017's US Open Golf Tournament and I walked nearly the entire course. Even with many people present, birds could be heard chirping and the views -- often including distant Holy Hill (roughly 3 miles away) -- were gorgeous. I particularly like how the course developers relished and saved the native landscape (somewhat). I haven't golfed here yet -- I think my crude skills would dampen my enjoyment of the place -- but to just be out here is quite magnificent.
Played the week of Ryder Cup 🇪🇺🙌. The whole facility is great, and the course is outstanding!! …
The course is beautiful and the on site amenities were all very nice. The course is a challenging walk at best if your cardio isn't up to snuff.
One of the best courses I have had the pleasure of playing. Course was in great shape and the amenities can't be beat. If you love the game, definitely take the time to go play Erin Hills.
Incredible facilities. Tons of hills, so it's a good workout even with a caddie. Leave time for the 18 hole putting green. Have several Fescue Rescues and the curds.
Course was excellent. Extremely challenging. Our caddie (Irish)was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Jim
I don’t know where to start, from the moment you get here to the moment you leave, the staff is absolutely amazing. The course is so much fun. It’s a hard, but fair course. The caddy we had(Thomas) was awesome! I will be back some day!
First time here, and let me say the experience was fantastic. We had Jeremey and Alix , the 2 YouTube sensations from the Random Golf Club episode of Breaking Erin Hills. They were fantastic! Alix didn’t judge my horrible start and actually tried to help!!!!! I love this place!!!!
Everyone here is so friendly. Beautiful rolling hills in the heart of the Kettle Moraine left by melting glaciers. This must be God's Country, he even left it in the shadows of the Holy Hill monastery.
I cannot say enough about this course other than this is the way golf was meant to be played. Fabulous golf conditions, caddies made great pace and kept the game moving well, awesome pro shop, great staff and service, etc. I loved the scenery and unique buildings. The quality of the course and how quiet it was just can't be beat. Course was very challenging with lots of ups and downs or blind shots....the caddies knew the fescue grass well for ball layout. The walking requirement was meh.....but at least helps the course stay awesome. Would totally play it again.
Incredible golf course! Unbelievable place.
I'll definitely be back
We had an absolutely amazing experience playing at Erin Hills. The course was in immaculate condition. Our caddie, Frank, was fantastic! His course knowledge on where to hit the ball and green reading skills were off the charts. He made certain that we had a good time. The customer service from the bag drop to the pro shop to the starter to the restaurant was first class. Highly recommend Erin Hills! It is most definitely a first class, five star, bucket list adventure!
What a beautiful golf course. The green rolling hills reminded me of Ireland.
Unbelievable golf experience. We traveled from Seattle and expectations were high. The golf, service and atmosphere exceeded all our expectations. The course is expansive, unique, and challenging yet fair. Our caddie, Tim, was fantastic, we highly recommend him. The club house and buildings give you the feeling of being in an Irish village. The pro shop had great gear and the service was helpful and friendly. We didn’t have time to eat at the restaurant but will in our next trip.
Incredible experience and definitely a "bucket list" item for any golf fan! The grounds were immaculate and the accommodations were outstanding. The staff was courteous and very helpful. Our caddie, Chris, for both days was very knowledgeable. Easy drive from Chicago or Milwaukee. I would highly recommend Erin Hills!
Erin Hills is as good as it gets. The service, facilities, caddies, lodging and course. A must for golfers!
One of the best golf experiences I have had to date! Amazing staff. Awesome caddies. Excellent conditioned golf course. True Championship golf experience. Definitely be returning to Erin Hills in the near future.
Incredibly challenging. Incredibly expensive. Great bar to forget about how high you shot.
This is the ideal place for a buddies golf trip. We had a blast. The course is great and the staff at Erin Hills was even better. Our caddy, Ben Worgull, did a phenomenal job. Brianne was a great help on the Kettle Loop pickup and on the Drumlin.
Beautiful golf course... Period. Bring your A game.
Absolutely the best golf experience I have ever had. Staff treated us like royalty. Course was absolutely immaculate. Caddies were great. Food was great. Stayed on the course in a cottage that was fit for a king. Definitely want to go back!!
My dad and I played 36 holes in one day (walked 12+ miles) at Erin Hills and had a great experience. Very challenging course but still very playable for high handicap players like us. Expansive fairways and a good caddie helped us get around the course and kept us on track. The bunkers were tough but the fescue wasn’t the killer that I expected - not as thick as we thought and we had a chance at a good recovery from it. The course was in perfect condition and the weather was awesome too. Great hospitality from a really well run venue. Highly recommended a trip to Erin Hills.
Was a beautiful course when I visited for the 2017 US Open. Rolling hills with prairie grasses line each fareway. Many sand traps throughout the course.
Amazing course. Host of the US Open. I had a chance to play here. Course conditions were terrific and my caddie, Wyatt, was extremely helpful as well as personable as well. We ended up playing the Kettle 5 hole (highly recommend) as well as the 12 hole putting at night.
Food was terrific as well. The cheese curds are a MUST.
I highly recommend getting here early to experience the short game area, range, and also check out the clubhouse/gift shop.
Lastly, make sure you stop by the Justin Thomas plaque on 18. His shot from there to land a few feet from the flag is amazing.
Definitely one of the best golf days of my life.
Gorgeous location in the Kettle Moraine of SE Wisconsin. Impeccable service and top-notch facilities.
My buddy and I came up from Florida to player Erin Hills early June. The golf course was in fabulous condition with great fairways fast smooth greens. Playing a course like Erin Hills is a much more enjoyable experience when you get a good caddy. Two of our three caddies were really good but one Caddie was not up to par as he was grossly inexperienced and couldn’t help the player with lines and shouldn’t have advised on any reads. HIGHLY recommend the Erin Hills experience!
Best time I've ever had on a golf course! Every part of the course is groomed to perfection; tee boxes, fairways, greens, bunkers. The caddies provide excellent, and much needed course advice! The clubhouse is in tip-top shape. Everyone should give themselves a chance to play this course at least once in their lifetime!
Great course, outstanding service and excellent food!
Course is in phenomenal shape. Long walk
Great golf course but over priced. If you're a 10 hcp or lower don't waste your money on a caddie, they suck. We had 2 foursomes with 2 caddies each foursome and 3 of the 4 didn't have a clue. I'll stick with Pebble Beach for a signature course.
Played in mid October two rounds and admittedly it was cold and windy--so conditions were challenging. To a man we felt the course was overrated and too tough. Green complexes were unfair in many cases with difficult pin positions that were unable to hold quality shots. We played shorter tees with several single digit golfers and despite that we all struggled. Perhaps that is a measure for some who like a challenge but no one likes to struggle all day. Disappointing golf design compared to many places we have visited around the state and world.
The property is great, though, and the staff very friendly and accommodations were some of the best we have been in. We liked the lighted par 3 as well. Probably worth your visit sometime but at least for us the golf wasn't what we hoped.
What an incredible experience. Course and staff were phenomenal.
A must go destination. Wished I stayed there longer! First Class all the way! Can't wait to return.
An amazing course and one that should not be missed if you can play it. The golf experience is fantastic and the club has a unique feel. It is not an easy walk as the course has a lot of hills but if you have a chance to play it then make sure you do. Great course!
Amazing experience! The course was awesome! One of the members of our group shipped his clubs and they didn’t arrive . Erin Hills offered to drive the clubs to him multiple hours away so he could play at our next destination . They really went above and beyond. .
Erin Hills is worth the price and it's worth the drive. I had a great time on their course. The grounds are immaculate. The staff was kind. And my caddy was awesome I'm sure he saved me a dozen shots (minimum). Can't wait to get back to Wisconsin to play it again.
Everyone made us a feel welcome from the minute we walked on the property. Practice facilities are top notch. Our caddie Ryan was a terrific. 80 degrees no clouds in the sky and didn't wait once the whole day. A perfect day for a wonderful walk! Golf at its finest.
Awesome golf course. Had a great experience with Caddies Sam and John along with the boys. A must play for sure. Worth the trip to Wisconsin.
I just visited for the second time in 6 years. The conditions were top notch...firm and fast everywhere. This is an true architectural gem in modern golf design. Spread out over an enormous piece of property, each hole was designed to utilize the pre-existing natural contours. The green complexes are what sets this course apart from other wannabe links-style modern designs. Forget about the lob shot recovery from around the greens. Rather, be prepared to play along the ground with a putter, 7 iron, 5 iron or even hybrid. Any short game weaknesses will be quickly exposed here.
The new Drumlin putting course is an incredible addition. Lit at night, putting is quite challenging when you can't see all of the different ways to play putts because of the shadows. Grab a cocktail and enjoy. Amazing.
Accomodations are first class too. I've stayed in two cottages...consistently excellent, designed for groups to enjoy with a common living space and private outdoor areas.
And lastly, the F&B experience... Friendly staff, great food, comfortable environment.
Love this place.
Lives up to its name and price tag. I have never golfed somewhere like this before. Get here early and do the 12 hole putting course beforehand. My caddy kellan was fantastic and put up with my general poor performance and had great insight to the course.
Definitely would like to golf this course again
Best course in Wisconsin, and it's not really even close. I'd recommend a caddy as it definitely adds to the experience. Lots of cool stories about the original layout. The ninth hole is one of the best short par 3s in the world, and 15 one of the best short 4s. My only qualm with erin is the affordability, but I understand from a business perspective that they don't necessarily want more play if it might sacrifice conditions. An all-day or twilight rate maybe once a month would be a great way to get more locals and golf enthusiasts to embrace it even more. But all in all a wonderful golf experience, golf as it is truly meant to be.
This course is the real deal. Fantastic layout, incredible conditions and wonderful caddies. The clubhouse and facilities are world class. I have traveled all over and played at many amazing clubs and Erin Hills is in the top 1%. I would tell you that it is a tough test of your skills and a long walk.
Excellent golf course! In great shape. Fairly high priced though if you are taking a caddie and they do not let you even take a pull cart. Odd. Food pretty good, but VERY expensive. Would go back, but only with a significant price drop...Staff very friendly, stayed overnight, great spot.
We had a great time at the course today
Wonderful experience. At arrival, within minutes your luggage and clubs are out of your hands and taken care of. Great course,, pleasant staff, cozy rooms. Staff offer to help everywhere
Had a fantastic time at the US open is a gorgeous course and can't wait to play
Erin Hills was in great shape. I believe we got one of the last tee times available before the U.S. Open Next year! Very cool course, I would say the buildings and barns give it a unique feel. If you can afford to stay in one of the cabins on the grounds, do it! Also with Holy Hill in the background it has the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures. The course is great, not the best I have ever played but a top 10 for sure. It depends on the wind and the tees, a scratch golfer can shoot 70 or 90 depending on how it is set up for the day and the conditions.
Trip of dreams! The course is everything you will imagine, if you've never played getting a caddie is a must! Show up more than an hour before to check stuff out take pictures and warm up. Caddies we had were good! Service on course left a little to be desired, and one of my guys lost a head cover of mine still hasnt been found, really hope they find it. Restaurants are great foods great and service is good! Recommend to go!
This is a very nice course. Its also a VERY long walk. The course itself i would put slighly below the straits, but the caddies and service, awesome! They ultimately put it above whistling for me. I will take a round here over any in Wisconsin. Just be prepared to walk a long ways.
Amazing course that's challenging but fair if you play the right tees. Breathtaking views, amazing food and great customer service. Caddie program is full of knowledgeable professionals that make the whole experience amazing.
Incredible course. Amazing views when golfing in the evening. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Caddies make a difference, don't go without one. Enjoy this 2017 US Open course. Cheers.
Absolute bucket list golf destination for any serious golfer, but you have to include a night’s stay. There is a mini course you get to try before next’s days golf outing and an awesome 18-hole putting green that stays open late with beverage service that is exquisite.
Amazing place, and well worth the trip! Caddies were great and the course is amazing. Been dreaming about it ever since we left!
Amazing track
Great course. Awesome place to go to outside of Milwaukee with great hospitality.
Dont get me wrong, this course is great. They have a tremendous practice facility. The course itself is big, conditions great, layout awesome (very difficult walk). The caddie deal wasn't worth it to me, just didnt really add anything to my round or experience other than the labor of carrying the bag. I just think this course is too expensive for what it is and not worth it imo. Whistling straits just has more of a special feeling about it, more of a spectacle. I think $175-225 is the correct price point for this course.
Played Erin hills June 19th. Course and experience was incredible . I can’t give it 5 stars because the practice range was atrocious. If I’m dropping 422$ on a caddie for 18 that practice range grass better look like a carpet/ big disappointment
Amazing course. PGA experience. Caddies are awesome. Great customer service. Would highly recommend to an experienced golfer. Will play again.
One of the best courses I've ever been too. Caddies were extremely nice and supportive. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a unique golf experience.
First thing you will want to know is this …
It is a L O N G walk around this course. My GPS watch measured nearly o miles. Combined with some hikes up to tees that put my Stairmaster to shame and you’ve got a good workout coming when you tackle Erin Hills.
Second thing you will want to know is …
A caddie is essential. And, given the first point it’s essential that you lighten your bag. No more than a dozen golf balls. No umbrella unless rain is clearly coming. No extra clothes. Only the clubs you’re sure to use. You can play this place with just 10 clubs and still be fine.
If you are coming from out-of-town stay on property. There is nothing better than walking off 18 into the pub and knowing …
‘I can drink what I’d like because I’m not driving’
The rooms are good. Mine was small and yet fine for a single.
Food is great. Forget your diet for the night. Take an extra Lipitor if you need it. Enjoy the treat that is Erin Hills.
And, if you can spare a second day then it’s just a short drive over to Lac La Belle and the B&B’s of Oconomowoc. An excellent short golf trip.
Erin Hills - I love it!
This course was the site of the 2017 US Open. It is a monster of a course that will definately challenge the best of golfers. If your looking for a flat course, this one is not for you. If your looking for a course that will offer you beautiful views while challenging your golfing skills... this is the place.
This was back in 2015, way before the '17 open. It was a wonderful experience. A wide open course that can be punishing when one misses their shots. Challenging terrain, tall grasses, difficult pin placements. Listen to your caddies. They will make your time spent all the more enjoyable.
The room was disappointing. It was very small and did not have a place to sit down except for the bed or the toilet. The TV was mounted in a place where every time the bathroom door was opened the viewing was interrupted. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the overall experience was well short of the price to stay here.
Big time golf course and a place to get away from it all! Playing the 2017 United States open venue is a challenge but from the moment you pull into the property a pleasure. Exceptional caddies, great food, a staff that excudes knowledge and clearly love where they work. They take a pride in this place that is hard to find at world class golf facilities. The conditions are beautiful, the greens are smooth , wide fairways and goegeous golden fescue!
So happy to have a fescue rescue, the signature drink of the course!
Just beautiful. Had no idea how huge it is. Except for the mud after the rain, perfect. (After being in the wash machine, my tennies came out great. All the employees were so friendly and helpful. Food in the
Concessions tent delicious. Great experience.
Fantastic design,Course will be a great US Open venue. Some say too difficult and a tough walk I totally disagree.I found the course to be very playable,I also made my first Albatross on 14 ! Caddies are also 1st class.
Absolutely loved being on this course for the US Open. I wish I could afford a round of golf there. So much for Lang's vision of a $50 round on a championship. At least Brown Deer is a championship course which is affordable for the average golfer.
I had the opportunity to play Erin Hills twice in high school for the Lake Country Charity Invitational. If you don't know, it's a great tournament for a great cause that routinely raises thousands of dollars for the MAAC fund. There really couldn't be a better course to host a tournament for such an important cause. Unfortunately the first time I played the tournament, it was about 35 degrees out with 15-25 mph winds and a driving rain and the round got called after about 10 holes. That year I started on the 4th hole and I was in the process of playing the 14th when it got called. I won't lie, the weather made things miserable but the course made it probably as enjoyable as a round of golf can be in those conditions. The year after that, however, we got pretty much the best conditions possible for April in Wisconsin which allowed the course to be experienced in its full glory. I tend to play my best on links style courses and managed a 76 in my first full round on the challenging layout despite 4 three-putts. I'm looking forward to trying to qualify for the Wisconsin State Am there this summer
Course is stunningly beautiful. The 30mph winds gave us a true Irish golf experience.
The course is one of the most beautiful you will walk and challenging to play. Great Caddies who know it well. It's a PGA experience and privilege to play!
Amazing place, truly top notch in every aspect.
Phenomenal course and lodging. Course is tough but fair even for a 15 handicapper. Menu and wine list are great. Everyone on staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating
This is where they held the 2017 US Open. It is a challenging course. The rough is fescue and penalizing. It is walking only, no push/pull carts. There are forecaddies that can make it a unnerving to swing away, as they sometimes don't see your shot coming. It isn't too long a course from the blue tees, but you need to hit straight and get some carry. White tees can give you lots of birdie opportunities. Bunkers can be tough. Most tee boxes are elevated, and the microwalk up can get your heartbeat up. Most folks don't seem to like to carry their clubs here.
My new favorite course in the USA. Amazing. Most words are unable to describe it awesomeness. Caddies were fantastic and didn't mind that I smoked pot while I played.
Challenging golf course in rural setting. The 2017 US Open was held at Erin Hills. The cost per round is significantly higher than in just about any other course within 25 miles.
Beautiful golf course. It plays very long, and there are a ton of hills, but the grounds are well kept, and it should be on the bucket list of any golf enthusiast!
Awesome time. Felt like a bag piper was following me through the fescue!
Simply a spectacular place to visit. Gorgeous setting, gorgeous buildings, gorgeous golf course equals unbelievable experience.
I spent a week volunteering at the US Open and had a great time watching the best golfers in the World play in their most significant tournament of the year for the first time ever in Wisconsin!
Great track and staying right at the club house was a treat. Food and service were surpassed only by the golf.
Beautiful golf course. Professional caddies with great advice on playing each hole. Great bar and food options. Worth every penny!
A+ experience every time. Great staff, amenities and course conditions.
Great golf course , loved it. Probably in my top 5 courses played.
Hospitality is off the charts... they make you feel important... rooms are Quant with the old fashion feel... the caddies are knowledgeable and polite... the course is AMAZING...
I was here for the 2017 US Open and thought the golf course was really great. The hills make the course and provided for awesome views of the players.
Great 18 holes of golf at Erin Hills today. Hole 18 plaque where Justine Thomas hit a 307 yard shot to the 18th green on his way to an Eagle in Saturday's round in the US Open - 2017.
Erin Hills sits amongst gently rolling farmland and woodland to the northwest of Milwaukee. Erin Hills is one of a number of high-profile public-access "retro-links" courses to hit the headlines in recent years. Although its peers (including the likes of Whistling Straits, Arcadia Bluffs, Chambers Bay and Bandon Dunes) are all scenically located oceanside or lakeside, the absence of a waterside setting doesn't detract from the pleasures and challenges of Erin Hills.
Great course, staff and facility! Our caddies Dave and Mason were outstanding 🏌️♂️ …
Great golfing experience and what a gorgeous course. Everyone was so helpful First class experience.
I haven't played this U.S. Open course yet but the scenery is awesome. Mostly glacier shaped landscape with lots of flowing fescue. Bring a camera.

(Translation) It is also the course where Matsuyama finished 12 under 2nd place at the prestigious golf course where the 2017 U.S. Open was held.
As far as the eye can see, it was a vast course like a meadow, and it goes without saying that it was well maintained and wonderful. The hospitality of the front desk and shop clerk was also the best. This experience is a lifelong treasure.
