HOLY COW

This is one of the best experience's I have ever had when shopping for new clubs. Their employees are at the top of there game and know exactly what they are talking about when it comes to helping you with your selection. No pressure when you walk in and somebody wants to help you regardless of what you are looking for or buying. This was the total opposite experience I had at Golf Galaxy, when I walked in there the same day nobody was there to help and when making a decision on new clubs you need to talk with someone who knows what the are talking about!? I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked for help 2 times and that was the beginning to and end. Thanks Golf Galaxy for a job well done and I have already referred to customers too you, which was well deserved.

Golf headquarters never fails to provide excellent service! I’ve been digging the toe of my irons in at times and needed to get them evaluated for lie angle. Turns out it’s my swing and not the clubs! Got a fair price for some trade in clubs. I wish I would’ve caught the young man’s name who helped me. He was working at the desk and had someone rate my trade-in clubs while he assisted me. Five stars again! Thanks!!

Went in looking for a pair of golf shoes and was amazed by the quality of service and knowledge of the product. 10000% recommend this place for all your golf needs. Next visit- Came in for new clubs for my wife. Scheduled time through Tim who was very nice over the phone. Came in and worked with Greg hit 5 different clubs changing the shafts as he evaluated the best fitting setups for her. Found new irons, wood, and Driver. This is the best golf store in the WORLD! Good deals. Lots of variety in clubs and clothing.. Really nice and understanding staff. They have a practice are to test the clubs out before you buy them. My buddy was about to use a set of clubs he was thinking about buying but someone bought them before he could. So one of the workers felt bad and knocked 60 bucks off a different set of nicer clubs.

Went in and got fit for a new set of irons. Got them out on the course and they didn't have the spin/launch numbers I was looking for. Told them what happened and they promptly got me back and in and replaced my iron shafts with something that fit me better at no additional cost to me. The owner couldn't have been nicer and made sure I was taken care of. I highly recommend going to see them for all of your golfing needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Tony, and his crew. I have purchased two sets of irons and a driver over the past few years and I have always had a great experience. I went in yesterday with a driver problem and Scott assisted me. What I found out was that I had more of a swing problem than an equipment problem due to a few bad habits had crept into my swing. Scott left me with the feeling that he was there to assist me and not once did I ever feel rushed. I have always had a positive experience with this store and will continue to purchase all my golf equipment there. I am a dedicated customer for life!

New to the game and it sucks that even when asking I get treated like I’m dumb. Standing around while others get greeted around you and you get ignored isn’t a nice touch.

Neil is the man... I went to the other big Golf store in Louisville and they acted like they didn't want to even talk to me. I walk into Golf headquarters the first time and Neil made my experience super easy and helped me pick out a wedge and new putter... Neil even saved me some money finding a like new used Odyssey putter. As I got more into Golf I called Golf Headquarters to get fitted for clubs for the first time. I walk in and I'm waiting on my fitting and Neil walked by and says Hi. The next time he walked by I told him he was the reason I came back the store. Neil finished with the customer he was helping and did my fitting himself. Never once did he try to sell me anything that I didn't need. After getting fitted I found out that I needed to go from Regular shafts to stiff shafts due to my swing speed. Also I need 1 inch longer clubs due to being 6'3. Neil tried to get me into some used irons but at the time their selection was limited. I'm in no super hurry to switch them so I've been checking in with Neil each week to see if they have got any irons that fit what I'm looking for. Talked to him yesterday and going back Friday because he thinks they have a few options in the store now. Customer service goes along way and I'll be going to Golf Headquarters for all my golfing needs.

Great, professional staff. Being left handed, it’s tough to find a lot of quality, used equipment. Eric helped me choose a quality driver for a great price. He even replaced the shaft with a brand new one. I was blown away by the service. I went out and used the club, and I noticed I was having some problems with the length of the club. I called and he told me to bring it in the next day. The following day Eric cut the shaft down and regripped the club with zero issues. I will always come back to Golf Headquarters because of the fantastic service. Also, I believe I was helped a few weeks back by Greg (sorry if I got the name wrong). I was looking for a replacement 7 iron, and he found a demo Callaway Mavrik in my specs, for $60! The club was only used for fittings and was free of any blemishes or defects. So shoutout to Eric and Greg for being so helpful and welcoming as soon as I walk in the door. It is no surprise this store has such a high rating.

Absolutely amazing. Needed a new driver, got fitted, no pressure, regriped the club. Then gave me credit for my old driver plus some other clubs. Saved about $ 170. Plus thru in a cap. Great people to deal with especially with Neal. I had the opposite experience with a different store. That guy is hurting their business for sure.

I have been trying to pick the game back up and have been in the market for a used set of clubs. At 6'4", my friends had recommended that I get measured/fitted for clubs. The first time I went in, their fitting appointments were booked for the day, but offered to schedule me for the next day. (That's totally on me--make sure to call ahead to reserve a fitting time!). When I arrived for my appointment the next day, I got paired up with Neal to assist with my fitting. I explained at the outset that I was not a professional golfer (obvious to everyone!) and was not looking to purchase a custom, new set of clubs. I simply wanted to understand what size clubs I should be using and hopefully build a set of used clubs. Neal said he'd be more than happy to help me out and took me back to the virtual range/fitting studio, where he measured my height and wrist-to-floor distance, and then had me hit a few balls. He recommended that I should be using clubs with a 1" shaft extension. He expressed that is often difficult to find used clubs with custom sizing, but would see if they had anything in stock. Fortunately, I was able to purchase a set of used irons, a driver, a fairway wood, and a putter that all fit my specifications. While the used clubs had a few scratches and marks (as to be expected) the grips were in fantastic condition. Most importantly--they feel GREAT. Neal also assisted with finding me a new golf bag and recommended other accessories. At no time did I feel like he was trying to upsell me or judge me for putting together a set of clubs on a budget. He was incredibly patient, informative, and even gave me some great tips on how to enjoy the game. All in all, I was able to build a complete used set, with a new bag and accessories for under $500. A great experience all-around. This store will have my business for life.

I have shopped and got fitted for clubs at Club Champion, PGA Superstore, and Golf Galaxy. Golf Headquarters was by far the best experience I’ve had. The whole process was awesome. Their fittings are just as accurate as Club Champion’s using Trackman and their prices are so much better. At one point I had 3 people in the hitting bay taking a look at my swing and the results and giving feedback and helping me work towards the best fit for me. I got my clubs built to my specs in 2 weeks. Club Champion was 6-8 weeks out. When I got my clubs I got a gapping session to get accurate yardages off the new clubs... all this was for the price of the clubs... which was under half of what Club Champion was going to charge me and the fitting at Club Champion was $350. They truly are customer first in their approach and it shows.

I went into Golf Headquarters with my driver, possibly to trade it in. The salesman ask me to hit it a few times so he could see what I was doing with it. After I hit it, he adjusted it and ask me to hit it again. Whatever he did worked and I started hitting it great. I really appreciate him being honest and helping me before selling me something I didn’t need. For this reason, I will continue to buy all my golf equipment from Golf Headquarters. The staff is friendly, helpful and most of all, honest. A+ 5 stars

Went to Golf Headquarters after going to Golf Galaxy 1st (mistake). Got a fitting done at Golf Galaxy were I was treated well at 1st (not a very in-depth fitting). To make a long story short, bought the clubs I was fitted for from eBay, but with a different shaft in it that I was fitted for (too good a deal to pass up). Wanted to see if this shaft was comparable to the one I was fitted for or if I needed the clubs reshafted so I went back to golf Galaxy for help (last time I’ll make that mistake). The guy up there told me I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference in the 2 shafts if I were blind folded because I wasn’t that good. Never felt so disrespected & unsatisfied. This wasn’t the point. I know I’m not a professional & never will be. No one who goes to golf Galaxy is a professional golfer. Anyways the point was I have never been fitted for clubs before in the 20 years I’ve been playing and wanted what was best for me. That was the entire point of the fitting. (I shoot in the 80s by the way, I’m not that bad). So I left, pretty mad at this point and went to Golf Headquarters and told them my situation. They basically did a refitting for me free of charge. The guy there (Keith) was great! Helped me by letting me hit balls with several different shafts and compared the results with ones I had bought off eBay. He came to the conclusion that the ones in the clubs were the ones best suited for me and not the ones they fitted me for at Golf Galaxy (lucky me). He put my mind at ease and actually gave me a few great pointers. Thanks Keith. I’ll be going to Golf Headquarters for all my golfing needs from here on out. Their prices are better and and treat you better in every way.

Went in for a custom fitting. Scheduled it ahead of time. Greg was super knowledgeable and very helpful. Did not push me towards any brand and worked hard to get to what he felt was the best result. I’m super happy with my results! The other staff is super knowledgeable and works hard to help the customer in front of them. They never rush and tend to be brand agnostic. If you are looking for golf clubs, come here. Get fit and buy through them... they even ended up cheaper on some things I ordered online!

The quality and variety of gamers they have right off the rack isn't matched by anyone in town, and that includes any pro shop. The mint Tour Victory full cords in the bargain bin were a nice bonus!

Went in to get fitted for a new driver yesterday. Had an idea of what i wanted but was open minded. Greg is UNREAL with his knowledge on using the trackman and various club components. Asked some questions while I hit, was decisive in his recommendations and very quickly found the best combo that was light years better than the others I was hitting. Chris was extremely helpful as well and they made a good team. I don't upgrade clubs often but when I'm spending $500 on a single club, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.

I'm not a big golfer but I do enjoy the game. I don't invest lost of money in equipment but sometimes you need to get professional help and for me that came when the grips on my clubs wore out. I know my clubs were a nice set as I bought them from the retired PGA pro back in college who I had hired for lessons back then. He had the clubs custom made way back whenever and the grips were really nice when I first got them but they deteriorated over time and just needed to be replaced. A friend told me to come to GH for the new grips so I did and I'm glad I did. They were super friendly and had helped me pick new grips and place my order in about 10 minutes and most of that was me deciding what I wanted. They had them ready for pick up the next day but it took me almost 3 weeks to come back to get them and that was no problem. They had them ready and waiting when I got there. I thought the price was reasonable. I haven't used them yet but I'm sure they'll be fine when I do!

First review I have ever written. I went to Golf Headquarters after reading reviews online, being new to the area it was the only thing I had to rely on. I was looking for a set of irons, preferably new, and preferably Ping (brand loyalty). I walked in and was greeted by Ted. We looked around for a while and we did some fitting. I was fit for shaft stiffness, lie, grip size, etc... After talking with Ted for a while I realized a nice set of used clubs was the way to go for me. Ted was super helpful, didn't rush me, and made me feel like I made the right choice with ease. Now I have a sweet set of Ping's.

If you are looking for anything golf in the Kentucky area, Tony and crew have it at Golf Headquarters. They have fittings available on the omnipresent Trackman launch monitors for a precise feel when spending your hard earned money and they carry everything from the latest and greatest Titleist or Callaway drivers to 25-cent tees and shoelaces. They have the best training tools, Tour issue clothing and shoes, great deals on used sets and so much more. They are a locally owned business and each member of the staff treats the place like their own, so you really feel welcome and appreciated in there. Do not waste your time with the big box stores or online, as GHQ will have what you want right there in store and chances are you will get a much better deal than the national chains. The only way my score would be different was if they offered more stars!
