One of the best kept public/private course I've experienced within the Louisville metro area. The rough is not like the the overgrown "afro" I recently experienced at Oxmoor Country Club. The fairways are lush and greens are pretty good plus challenging. I've experienced great customer service and always feel welcomed when I visit the area. I even purchased a part time membership to take advantage of the opportunity to play whenever I like during the week, all year round. The front 9 layout will draw you in, then the back 9 will knock you out! But you'll come back for more tomorrow! 🏌🏾⛳😳😁

First time visitor and was generally pleased with the course. They are installing some new tee boxes which requires you to tee off from fairway on two or three holes. The greens were nicely manicured. Sand could have been replenished with finer consistency. I plan on returning in the future.

Great golf course that is a challenge. Some tight fairways with trees adding difficulty if you miss the fairway, and a few small greens add to the challenge. 8/10

A few greens had several lines where it looked like the mower had a leak but other than that and the fairways needing a quick mow, the course was fine. I will definitely be back!

My first time playing this course. Getting signed up and going was slick and easy, especially with an email account. They have nice electric carts. The course was in pretty good shape for this late in the season. The greens were a little long on a couple holes but that really only effected speed. People fixed their divits usually. There are easy holes and difficult holes with various hazards and types. Ie some deep sand some hard sand traps.

The golf course is very challenging, albeit not very long. You gotta be on your short game to score well here. Course and equipment were well maintained, and the chipping greens usually have balls on them and are rather large (accommodating several golfers at once). However, if you are used to playing the Louisville Municipal courses, the price can be rather surprising for what you get. Pro shop is about average, comparable to most municipal courses. The pro shop and counter staff are acceptable. They are amicable but rather direct to the task at hand and not willing to chat (even if not busy); but they answer all questions professionally and are courteous. The building and decor is dated. The restaurant is quite large, so if you want to host an event here I would recommend it; although the restaurant staff has been somewhat lackadaisical on occasion. At our golf scramble, our server was somewhat rude to everyone, then got upset when we gave her 15% of a several hundred dollar food bill! They also did not have all the food items available, and everything took quite a while to cook. Although when I have played their as an individual, a different person at the grill was very nice and helpful. I would recommend you DO have your event here, however. Your experience may be different that ours, and staff may have changed since then. But due to past experiences we will NOT be bringing our organizations scramble back. All in all the course is good, pro shop staff is courteous, restaurant is large and sometimes the service is good.

Fun course. Back nice plays different with more hills than the front nine. Definitely a walkable course. Can’t wait for their clubhouse to be done.

BEST. STAFF. EVER! Played this beautiful course last weekend. Left my rangefinder on the cart by accident. Realized it and called up there today. Erika had it in the office. Wow!

This golf course has come a long way! Anyone who knows the history knows the course went downhill before new ownership stepped in. Just played and course was in great shape for early spring conditions. So glad the new ownership and staff were able to rehab the Jeff Elks golf course. Thank you!

Where do you hit the ball?????? No markers to tell you direction of fairways. Nothing on the score card. People asking each other where to hit. CRAZY. Asked staff in proshop about it. Got kinda an oh well attitude about it. Sad really. I guess if your a member you will get better service. fairway and greens were in great condition. It just made for a frustrating round of golf. If you go go with someone that knows the course.

Played 9 holes today and course overall in very good condition. Walked the course for the first time in many years and the only negative is that I'm qualified in the "goose-poop-boogie".

Good course. Joined as a member for the second time. Definitely recommend playing this course. In the summer it goes from good to VERY nice.

Nice course that is relatively inexpensive and decently maintained. The facilities are a bit dated but that’s not what I care about when I am playing golf anyways.
