Reviews of Longhills Golf Course
5 stars if you aren't expecting it to be Augusta. Solid for a public course maintenance wise. There are a few areas that look like they used to be bunkers they let go, but imo who cares. The 12 green could have used a leaf blower from what falls off the trees nearby.
I give it 5 stars because it's a really fun course to play. I love the design. Definitely unique even though it's a little confusing if it's the first time you're playing there and you're by yourself. After one round you'll get it though. It doesn't just follow a single path like I'm used to... it forms 3 loops that intersect around the 6, 9, and 18. The path to the 5 is marked well but I didn't know how to get to 11 my first time. Into the neighborhood and left at the black fence.
This is a really good golf course me and 4 others were playing every Sunday but the heat kinda changed all that
Really nice course. But the water cooler on hole 8 tasted like they haven't cleaned it in years. Like they just keep putting ice in it. The taste of it was unbearable.
This place is one that you want to use as vacation home. It's In a perfect location and feels like home.
Beautiful high vaulted ceilings and brick or rock homes. Golf and nice maintenance lawns. Our family and friends love it
I’m visiting from Texas and thought I would take a day off and visit a golf course. I was very happy I did because this course was an absolute joy to play. The price was $25 with a cart and that is an excellent deal. The staff is friendly and the other golfers were as well. The course is challenging with a lot of trees and the fairways are well maintained. The greens are fast here though which added to the challenge. If I’m ever back in town I will try and make a stop here.
I've never played golf or anything at this course but my mother was living over there so every time I would go and visit her it would pop up on the maps so I can't really give a to you on this but I know that the greens at longhills are beautiful apartments and it has a very nice golf course
Great employees, very friendly and helpful. Love the course layout. Not to tough off a course but in great shape. Nice practice range and putting greens. I’ve played here for many years also love playing here.
Course was a little rougher than i thoight it would be not the greens thats for sure but we had a good time. Theres a i think hole 7 where theres quite a crossfire going on and i think two of the holes on the front must be temporary holes. Didnt play the back nine yet so there it is
Exciting atmosphere with amazing food.
Nice driving range. Course is in great shape.
Definitely too expensive for the quality of the course. Grass in fairways, mowers mowing around you while you're teeing off, multiple tee boxes touching each other. Overall doesn't seem like the most well-kept course, especially for $40+ a round.
First golfing experience in 10 years give it take. To sum it all up " My group had a great time. And I'll be back!"
Cons/Small critique
A few holes/greens had a lot of goose poop and one hole in particular had more poop than green.
There was no sand in the sand boxes at the Tee's. I would have loved to help keep the course nice by filling in my divits.
No ball washing station anywhere
Only 1 water break area.
Three of the greens had as much sand as turf.
Pros
Decent price ~40$ this was for 18 holes and a cart shared
Friendly staff, fast and proficient
Close to little rock and no membership needed
Decent mixture of terrain sand water obstacles
Fairway and rough were well defined
Again my takeaway "get out and golf with some friends and longhills will be a great place to do just that!"
Hope this helps
Had a great day. Folks that run the course are great very cordial. Good equipment, very well kept course with enough challenges to be fun. A great value as well.
My daughter lives in the apartments. I love to watch them playing golf. Decent looking course
The course was in a good condition for just opening 6 months ago. I would play here again and have played here again. It can be challenging but isn't that the point of golf. The price to play is also pretty fair.
A little tore up, but the staff is nice and helpful. Solid course to get out and have some fun.
Good little course with, I'd say, medium difficulty. Pretty good amount of water that you have to hit over, so you might want to have some extra balls in the bag if that's an issue for you.
Great course
Good times great service
Reasonably priced
Golf cart linkage slipped off a few times #19
But easy to put back on.
Great staff , very nice putting greens.
Fun course to play , great staff.
Younger staff is incredible. They really have to pick up some of the slack from others but they have always ensured I've had a good experience
Was there to visit a friend near the golf course, but Longhills has been there for over 40 years!
Very nice course
Very nice course. The manager is very knowlegable and helpful. Would definitely go back just for Gary!
I really enjoyed the scene there and the people were friendly
A great course the play if you are a rookie or just trying to have fun. The green need a lot of work
Nice fairways and greens. Prices are fair. Pro shop is well stocked.
Love this place. Good walk even if I play bad golf 😂 …
Course continues to improve every year since reopening.
I don't play golf, but I enjoy watching the geese and it has a public restroom
Needs to be a little better marked, otherwise perfect for the average golfer!
Beautiful , clean course with beautiful scenery
We love living here! It's so awesome and new.
#8 green needs some work but fun course
Excellent place to live.
