If you haven't eaten here lately, you are really missing out. We are trying everything on the menu and so far, it has been spectacular - both the food and the service. You may need to make reservations

Then just another memorable experience at Hot Springs village, this time playing DeSoto golf course. Wonderful facility, friendly staff and well organized. We put new screws and nuts in here got paired up with three locals and it was a great way to meet some other friendly golfers at new the course to show me around. A lot of rain the previous week made some areas still a little mushy with mud some of the grass have been tore away from the ground. Greens ran true and smooth fairways were in great condition. Decent-sized practice putting green and driving range. Well stocked pro shop and the snack bar/restaurant had a good hot dog. DeSoto golf course is right on the same level as all the other courses inside Hot Springs village. I've played six of the eight golf courses. What is a private course that I didn't play one is a executive course that I didn't play. But the six that I have played have been nothing but top notch facilities. If you get a chance to play any of the six courses that are regulation in length at Hot Springs village I highly highly recommend that you do it will be a wonderful time.

Course was in great shape, I loved the layout. What I didn't love was a foursome not letting me play through, I suppose they don't really want guests playing the course. Not cool at all, no golf etiquette on my particular day.

Attended a party with 60 people. The servers were fast and efficient and the food was hot and delicious! Hubs got the pot roast which was fall apart tender and I had the smothered chicken- yum.

The oldest of the 9 courses at the Village, but a good, fun course to play, with enough challenge for any golfer. Very nice, fast Champion Bermuda greens, friendly staff, and a large restaurant.

More of a 3.7 star rating. Course layout is okay and conditions are good but there’s just not a lot of holes that are memorable. Two of the positives from here are the last 3 holes. Par 5,4 and 5 would be awesome if you’re in a competitive group. 2nd positive is the sand here was cleaner than the other 3 courses I’ve played so far. One thing of note on ALL 4 courses I’ve played is that for some reason they don’t turn over the sand which makes it very hard and compact. Not much chance for explosion shots if you’re that kind of player. Also the the quality of sand is lacking. Lots of impediments

I've loved this course since the minute I first tee'd off many years ago. It's the oldest course in The Village, the layout is fantastic, the greens are always immaculate (even in January) and its varying elevations provide a challenge even for the experienced golfer. The staff is always friendly, too. One of my top 3 courses in HSV. No question.

Nice place. Very clean. It is so clean it looks like being at Disney World only cleaner. I did not go to play golf. But I did go to the clubhouse which was spectacularly clean broke but a little on the too cold side. I was not impressed with the menu the food was actually okay, but I was with a group and most of the food was a little cool by the time it was served. The staff was accommodating.

We live in Hot Springs Village. We enjoy walking and do so daily. Generally 4 miles. Sometimes after walking we will go pick up lunch and drive to the play area just east of the Desoto swimming pool. Today we picked up sandwiches from the Shack in Jessieville. We called ahead and our order is ready when we arrive. You need cash for your purchase at the Shack. We then go to the play area I mentioned because there are picnics tables in the shade. We were the only people there. We enjoyed our lunch in private.

Ok, my husband and I went to the DeSoto Club, we ate at Johnann’s restaurant. When we walked in it was very nice. The ambience was awesome; walked in and a lady came up to us with a big smile and said ‘’Hi welcome to Johnann’s, my name is Candy and I’ll be your waitress this evening.. Well she made us feel very welcome here. The food was awesome, Doug had a ribeye which was perfect; I had the sheared shrimp w/grits.... melt in your mouth good. To top it off they even had a live band. It was a Sat. night in the Village. Never been there but we will go back, Candy well, she was a little scatter brain, but hey she was real, polite, and no pun intended, but Johnny on the spot. Awesome lady. On the way out, I looked back and there were two men cleaning the table, the place was very clean, the staff was awesome and to top it all off; the Food was Great! Thank you Johnann’s and Candy for a wonderful experience....

I live on this course so i get a front row seat to it. The greenskeepers and landscape team are out every morning inspecring each hole, making sur everything looks pristine, and it does! Great course to play.

Earlier this year I had rated this place very poorly but I have gone 2 maybe 3 times in the last 2 months and I have to report that since Scott Pennington has taken over the management, the DeSoto Club has higly improved, it is so nice to visit a place that is clean, servers are very friendly and helpful, the mmanager is always there checking everything is ok in your table and your food is delicious and the portions very generous all these without considering their prices are very affordable.

Plush fairways, greens roll true but the back nine greens are discolored and don't hold so you need to play short and let it roll. Nice staff and good restaurant.
