Phenomenal experience. Course was in great shape and had some interesting holes. The staff was fantastic, super kind and attentive to detail and guests. I actually left my Apple Watch in a cart and not only did they find it but they even mailed it back across the country to North Carolina!! I’ll be back every time I’m in vegas and I recommend you do the same!!

The course is good. Usually open and not too slow to play. The course is on the short side but the fairways are narrower. I’ve shot any where from a 70 to a 85. So if you’re hitting straight and have good Rhythm you can have a really good round. But bring a few balls because if you don’t hit the fairway even by a few feet you might not find your ball. The fairways are average kept, the sand traps are great condition, and greens are a perfect speed. The only real hits on the course are the actual location and the esthetics of the surrounding area. It is a very unique course for good or bad is up to you. Price is in a great range and stays the roughly the same through day and doesn’t go up much on the weekends which is great. The staff is always very friendly. This might not be the best course in Vegas but for the money and availability it should def be in your course rotation.

I give this course a 4 star only for the reason the rough is tough to play out of. Otherwise would be a 5 star. Saw some bad reviews and was tempted not to play here. Glad I did though because the course was in fine shape. Not sure what the naysayers are talking about for this course. Helpful hint this used to be called Desert Rose.

Positive: greens are in great shape. Most of the grass is pretty good. The staff was great. The sand was in good shape, which was extra surprising given that most traps had no rakes. The Marshall helped the slow foursome in front of us learn how to let people play through. Negative: Obviously, being next to the Flamingo Wash has its drawbacks. Several holes are lined with garbage, including areas that aren't out of bounds. Bring lots of balls. Like 2 cases of balls because almost every hole on the course follows one of the overflow washes that acts as a storm drain for seemingly all of Las Vegas, and this results in many swampy areas. Even in well over half the fairways. Swampy areas equal muddy balls. There is NOT ONE ball wash station on the whole dang course. The overflow washes are also on the right side of every hole they line. This means that if there is a slice you your game as a righty you will spend a disproportionate amount of time well below the playing surface hitting out of a ravine. There were also a lot of areas of ground under repair on nearly every fairway. Many holes are also lined by trailer parks, abandoned or burned out buildings, or hoarder homes.

4.5 I like there practice area they have it all ..to help practice on sand bunker you can chip out of, chipping area too..and putting green... Golf course I'd have to rate it another time I haven't played here yet..but I will soon next week for sure.

Great way to spend a Sunday morning. Course appears easy until you realize the slopes and sometimes narrow fairways. We had breakfast in the grill. Omelettes and sides were great. Service in grill and course topnotch.

Okay for a public course but you definitely get what you pay for i.e. a few fun golf challenges, a lot of bad rolls down into the drainage canal and an extreme amount of frustration from long wait times between shots caused by 1) tee times too closely packed together and 2) golfers in almost every group searching for their lost balls in the drainage canal areas on almost every hole. The staff is friendly and helpful but the marshals are ineffective at speeding up play. The greens are in good shape but they are very firm and it is very difficult to hold the green with an approach shot. The fairways look good but they are just a hard pack of dead grass that has been spray painted green. Also it is very problematic if you will have adequate sand under your ball for a soft bunker shot if you happen to end up in the traps.

I had a great game here today. This is my most beautiful memory in Vegas, not casino, Celine D. Show, nor Topgolf. Last Sunday I lost my wedding ring when playing in Palo Verde Golf Club house CA; somebody took it away but didn't return it, I have been upset for the whole week. I feel people and golfers in The Club at Sunrise are alot nicer and respectful to others. Today is the first time I feel happy after I lost my wedding ring since last Sunday.

Played there on 9/22. The greens were in excellent shape, like putting on carpet. Danny and his staff are friendly and very professional. Pace was good and the marshall was coming around every 30 minutes making sure we were ok. Great course and great price!!! Rudy

Affordable, great greens. Not a long course but very challenging. If your ball goes left to right you may be in trouble. Everything on the right side flows into the creek.

If you are not from Vegas you need to try this course. I have played alot of courses in Vegas and The Club at Sunrise is in better shape than most private clubs. If you are a right handed slicer you will have a frustrating day because there is wash that runs throughout the entire course. If you are a straight hitter or miss to the left you will have a great time. I have to give credit to the superintendent Scott Sutton, the hardest working man in the golf business and it shows. Pete the starter/player assistant is also a true asset to the golf industry with his knowledge and always maintaining the course even while he is playing. Katie the Bev Cart is the best in the business, but she only works the weekends. It is busy in the morning, but if you want to get out and play a well maintained course at reasonable non resident rate. Give this course a shot. I do not send out many reviews but feel compelled to get the word out about all of the staffs hard work!!

I'm a junior golfer and have played at this course regularly in past tournament events. The course is a challenge, I normally shoot in the mid to high 70s and have definitely struggled trying to keep that score (especially since I am left handed and naturally hit a draw with my swing). It definitely can get in any golfer's head to always be aware that hitting right can lead to disaster, but that is something that we need to get comfortable with in the game, so I find it a fun challenge that will improve my game as I'm transitioning into high school. The fairways and greens are very well kept all time of year (I've played in summer and fall and winter) and the staff is very courteous and professional to golfers of any age, which is something that us juniors respect. I'll definitely continue to play this course outside of tournament play whenever I can, and I'm glad that renovated courses like this still exist.

Gorgeous golf course! Even with the water running through the entire golf course this place we fun to play with beautiful greens and a good challenging layout. I played from the tips and it wasn't very long, around 6500 yards with well maintained tee boxes and pure, green fairways. The range was well maintained along with the club house and practice areas. I played as a single on Saturday morning and was able to get in with a group at 8am for $39 with a cart and $10 food credit. What a deal! Will definitely be back with friends to enjoy this course again. Thank you guys for the great day!

This golf course is beautiful. From what I understand they've gone through quite a comeback too. Only thing I can share is if you are one that uses the Restrooms frequently, they have all of them closed except for the Club houses. Might want to think twice about having that 2nd beer. ☺

For the money this is one of the best places to play in Vegas. Greens hold and they run good not fast but flat. Course is simple to play if you don't go to the right off the tee. If you can't fix your slice, you will have a long day.....

Great facility with very friendly staff. We finished our round late in the day and the bartender had gone home, but the pro was nice enough to pour us a couple of drinks. Way to go above and beyond. The greens were in good shape. Complete practice facility as well. One of the few courses in Vegas that allows walking.

I never played this course and I've heard different experiences. I heard about it being remodeled. My experience was a very pleasant one. The greens were nice, The fairways were in good shape. The clubhouse is very nice as well and the food was delicious. It's close to where I live and I'll definitely play here again. My only complaint is the ditch in the middle, but I guess I'll have to hit them straighter. Lol

Played today in August. As good of course conditions for this time of year in the desert as you'll see. Grass healthy. Greens fantastic rolls and true lines. Very challenging off tee with the wash in play constantly. Will play again for sure.

Great course! You cannot beat the value here. Green fees were a steal, club rentals were cheap, food was fantastic, the Marshall was a beauty and even though I shot a 92 I enjoyed the 92 cent beer afterwards. We will definitely be back on our next trip down and I’m going to enjoy a 75 cent beer. Well done Club at Sunrise 👌🏽 …

They have done a fine job at revamping the old Desert Rose course. The conditions at the time of this review were great for summer in Las Vegas. The clubhouse is nice and new. Restaurant had good food and service. The problem with the course is always going to be the wash that is present on EVERY hole. You basically can't push it right too much or you'll be either on the side of the hill, or down in the wash. Other than that, it's great. Greens are creative and it's a pretty fun course.

The 'Club at Sunrise' is the old Desert Rose Golf Course. This course underwent a huge upgrade and is now much cleaner, the creek and wetland areas were redone with concrete channel to properly handle the water & less toulies and hazards. It was a great day, and they provide senior and/or Veteran discounts and the management team is awesome. If you are a golfer, try the course again; you will be pleasantly surprised 😎🏌 Wednesday October 16th, 2019: going back today for a 12:15 Tee Time; I look forward to the game. The staff is always great, preferred rates for seniors & Veterans, and the course is quickly becoming a favorite. * This is a great value for the preferred pricing; I suggest you try the course and say hello to the staff. The greens are very nice but the fairways have a lot of patches of dirt. You can hit a good drive but end up in the dry area hitting off of dirt. You have to hit an accurate drive as right is bad on every hole and there are homes along the left side. Strange layout along a flood control. If you get to the water the ball flows down steam and normally can't be found. The staff here was great and the non-resident rate was $49.00 but you have a $10.00 credit towards meals in the restaurant. They also provided 2 bottles of water per player. There is very little shade on the course so plan accordingly.

After playing repeatedly [ in winter conditions ] the little wife and I are very happy with this tract. It is always a challenge to keep a course playable this time of year. Firm fairways , slow growth and cold wind can be a disaster. Over this winter season the greens keeper and staff have stayed right with it. Kudos for the uphill battle. After many lunches never a disappointment. Very tasty. Everyone from this place is pleasant and easy to deal with. We have been members at 4 other courses over the years and have to say that for our golf $$$$ this is the place . The members here are pleasant and we are making some new friends. You can spend three times the money [and we have] and Sunrise will still have comparable greens . Which in our opinion is the top priority for a fun round. The bunkers are also right up there. They have a handle on winter golf here and we are very satisfied . The resurrection of '' The Ditch '' is nothing short of a complete success for the muni player here in Vegas. Anybody who played here when it was Winterwood and later Desert Rose is in for a big surprise. Congratulations and thank you to Danny and his whole crew.

We recently played this course during our visit to Las Vegas. I would recommend this course to everyone! great prices as well as cheap club rentals. Friendly and accommodating staff (including the marshal) . After the round we sat in the restaurant. The food was great, and the drinks were very reasonably priced.

Course was nice overall, lost of desert landscape off the fairways so be warned you will be polishing some clubs after your round. Greens are great! Will play again

I played as a single and I was paired up with 3 other very nice people. The unfortunate thing was we got stuck behind a group of 10 playing a 2 man best ball. Nothing but excuses from the staff about slow play ( 11 holes 3 1/2 hours) they finally jumped us ahead of them and we finished 5 holes in less then 45 minutes.

Love the golf course! Pace of play was fantastic; no waiting for a group in front or an imminent "push" from a group behind. The greens are in immaculate condition__undulated and challenging! A beverage cart operation, however, would be a great addition to the golfing experience, as 90°+ is mighty taxing and "plain cold water" isn't all that satisfying. Barring "outside" staples doesn't justify the lack of beverage cart operation. Overall, an enjoyable afternoon and 18-hole round. Thank-you!

Having played this course about 4 decades ago when it was called Winterwood and played this course often nearly 30 years ago when it was called Desert Rose I was completely blown away by the changes and upgrades to the course the clubhouse and even the parking lot!! What a great track and restaurant too! I play Saturday Sept 24 and the course and greens were the best I've played in town. What a nice addition to golf in Las Vegas. It took me 11 months to get back but it's still a great track with a really good restaurant. What a bargain for $39 that includes $10 food credit!

Probably my favorite place for value golf in Vegas. Well laid out - challenging yet fair. Like other courses, you can get better deals if you sign up for their email club. Not in the best part of town, but the prices reflect that. I've never not had a good time there.

One of the best golf deals in Las Vegas. This course is always in great shape. Don't hit the ball to the right, you'll end up in storm water drainage canals that run throughout the course. Otherwise, it's a well bunketed layout you'll enjoy.

First time since they changed from Desert Rose. I was on the old course 3 times a week for 2 years, and towards the end, before they closed, it wasn't a good experience. Now. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Cart girl was around twice on the front and back, hot dogs were ,.. Different , but good. Overall a 4 1/2. Definitely a regular now..

This course is in a lower income area of town and before going, I read a few bad reviews, so, I had low expectations going to it. I was pleasantly surprised! The course was great. The grass is green and well cut in most areas. The landscape areas that could use some attention are not in places you would end up playing on, so they dont really matter. There was some construction going on near a few holes, but they were laying in a new pathway, so that should be fixed soon. The construction didnt really affect play. The golf carts had serious power compared to other courses I have been on and were fun to drive at full speed! The course is old enough that the trees are big (rare in vegas) and force you to have to make strategic choices when you get in a tough spot. The staff were very friendly. They allowed us to delay our tee time because one of our members was late, and they loaned me a putter because I forgot mine. Cant imagine a better golf experience!

I left my CITIZEN ECO DRIVE $550 watch in the cart! ONLY TO GET IT RETURNED TO ME!! This place is hands-down professional, I left my watch in the cart and I called him the next day and sure enough they had it at the clubhouse waiting for me. The greens and the fairways are carpet, the tee boxes are exceptional. The clubhouse is CLEAN. I will DEFINITELY GO BACK, and will recommend anyone traveling to Vegas to go. Plus the price was very fair for 18 and cart. STAFFwas very FRIENDLY and professional. Only recommendation “ stay to the left”

We have been golfing at stallion mountain for the past 4 years and have always had issues with the guest service manager over there. We went to golf there Saturday and this guy is so rude and disrespectful to the customers my whole group was ready to leave. You could smell alcohol on his breath as well. We got loaded up and after the low level service we received we ended up taking our clubs and going to this course. The two tall gentlemen we had the pleasure of talking to in your guest service department was the best myself and group have ever seen. Talk about team work that's the definition of it. We told them the experience we had over there, they didn't bad mouth anyone and guaranteed a much better experience with there course We were loaded up fast, they brought us down to the practice area and got us right out at the scheduled time we were given. While we were out golfing they checked on us at least 3 times and brought us out a bloody-marry so our round wasn't interrupted by having to go inside. We're done with the terrible service at stallion and we will be back every weekend we can!

The greens are tough if you can putt their then you can putt Anywhere. The club have great deals with food afterwards you will need some substance after or if your Ball goes right lol !!!! Wow, what a transformation! The "desert ditch" as it was nick named when it was Desert Rose has been completely revamped and it is now an extremely pleasant golfing experience. The greens are medium to fast, very well maintained and the ball rolls true instead of bouncing around like most courses. The fairways are real fairways and the rough is extremely forgiving due to being cropped short like they should be. The "ditch" is now a forgiving lateral water hazard you can now rescue your ball out of for the most part, and the double fairway arrangement on most of the holes provides ample room to "rip it" from the tee and still have a playable shot if you hook or slice it! All in all you can end the day with a better score, making it a more enjoyable golfing day, unlike most Vegas courses that are lined with homes, streets and infested with trees and weeds, making a golf outing just one miserable day off! The club house and cuisine and staff are icing on the cake! Very enjoyable to play here :D

Had a group of 3 forsomes out this past Saturday. Great experience. The staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable; brought out more waters, face towels and even ice cream! Very accomodating to locals, we'll be back for sure!

I've been waiting for Desert Rose golf course to reopen, and they have it now called The Club at Sunrise. And you won't be disappointed. Everything about the course, club house, fairways,greens,tee box 110% better. And the deal they have to offer you can't beat it.

I grew up playing this course from the late seventies when it was named Winterwood to the time it closed 4 years ago when it was Desert Rose. Played there for the first time today since it was reopened, and was very impressed. They must of added several feet of topsoil to the fairways as they were soft and a different type of grass than the thin bermuda over rock hard ground that used to be there. I want to guess it's some type of rye mix, and it is very consistent and even. The fairways have several subtle undulations that weren't there before, and some of the holes seem to play noticeably uphill that seemed more neutral in the past. Some bunkers were removed around the greens, and others added, most noticeably on the par 5s in the fairways. They took out all of the trees on the right (drainage) side of the fairways on the entire course, and kept most of the ones on the extreme left (houses) side of them. They also apparently carved out tons of dirt on both side of the drainage channel, which has made a lot of the fairways more narrow in areas and more challenging. Also, I don't know if was some type of illusion, but, It seemed like the fairways are 30 feet or more above the lowest point of the channel some places. The rough on the slopes leading down to the channel was thick, healthy, and even. Most of the greens resemble their original shape, although some seemed a bit smaller, and some seemed re-designed. A lot of them seemed more elevated than they used to be. Today, the grass needed to be cut on them and they were a bit slow, and seemed like they were some type of tightly grown poa annea mix. They are very consistent though, and probably will be at all speeds. The biggest change to the layout is that 10 is now 18, and 18 is now 10, with the greens and tee boxes in reverse positions than the old layout. Also there is a new clubhouse that looks fabulous, and although that old school vegas feel is gone, the staff seem very nice and laid back like a locals course should feel. I've played probably 100 rounds on the old layout since I was a kid, and feel the course plays a bit tighter in several places and perceptibly longer than it used to. I want to say its slightly more difficult in ways, but in ways that make golf sense. The opening 3 holes are every bit as challenging as they used to be. The entire course sort of struck me as links-esque aesthetically. It was surreal playing there today, as I have so many memories there, and literally learned how to play the game there with my father. Only gripes would be that there is no landmarks to gauge where the fairways drop off on the right side towards the channel, especially the right to left holes where there were trees on that side. They also took out the arched bridge between 13 and 14, which was iconic to me, and replaced it with a shorter flat open bridge. Additionally, the red pebble dirt was left in several places where I wish they could have put grass back in, but I realize that was necessary to save on watering and maintenance costs when they went to it 10 or 15 years ago. That stuff is minor though, and I'm glad they meticulously went through everything they did from the drainage reconstruction to the re-design, to save this historic Las Vegas legend and bring it back to life. It's not exactly the same course it once was, but it will develop its own personality in reflection of the traits it shares with its past. Well done.

You might remember this course when it was Desert Rose Golf Course or as the locals refer to it the ditch. They had a flood a few years ago and took the opportunity to completely resurface the whole course, what a difference better grass makes. The greens are truly some of the best I've seen in town as good as most of the resort courses let alone the public access venues. Paspalum grass is a godsend in Las Vegas they roll very well stay smooth seemingly all year long and actually get better in the cooler weather when they overseed with ryegrass. The rough can be very brutal and the eponymous ditch still lurks to catch any of your big slices all the way around the course. A few holes have been redesigned but mostly still the same routing and course, the 18th hole is more challenging than ever. Also the Pro Shop and the restaurant while small are very well served and enjoyable.

Well what can you say about a total transformation this is a place that we used to call the ditch Desert Rose Golf Club but now it is an absolutely spectacular test was spectacular greens and Fairways and the amount of money that they put in to this golf course it's astounding very tight fast greens great Clubhouse and staff if you're looking for a inexpensive golf experience this is the place to go
