Beautiful wedding venue! We had our wedding at Bear's Best in December 2021. The venue is stunning and the food is very good. Ed, our banquet manager, was incredibly helpful and so sweet. He attended to all details and anticipated all of our needs. If my glass was empty, he was there to refill it, when we came back in after taking photos and we were cold, he was there with a hot tea. He basically turned into my maid of honor without me even asking. Look no further, this is THE venue for your wedding!

Stellar golfing experience. The variety of hole design is tremendous and it's a lot of fun to get the descriptions of the holes in the videos that Jack recorded. The course was in great shape and the pace of play was perfect. The course is definitely challenging, especially around the greens and course knowledge would help a lot. I missed in a few locations that left me wondering how I was ever going to get the ball close. Overall, great experience and I'll definitely play it again!

Tina, Ed, and Brittany helped me coordinate the wedding of mine and my husbands dreams! I’m still in awe at how our wedding turned out. This is a professional bunch who will go all out for your wedding. Who needs a wedding planner when you have this team?!!! They are incredible seriously! They made us feel like family. Great venue for LGBTQ+ couples! Extremely inclusive! Vendors were great! Food was amazing!! Danced all night! Thank you all so much!

We were out there today for a Vegas Golf Network tournament and were impressed with the customer service. From the pro shop to the restaurant, everyone was friendly and incredibly helpful. The course was in great shape for July! It is hot now, and many courses here can let it go a little. We were all surprised by the playing conditions. It’s being kept up very well. The only grip is the bunkers. They look fantastic, but the sand, besides the black sand, is very thin, and that caused some drama when playing from there. The greens were a touch slow, but considering how receptive they were, I can manage a tad slower green. A big thing for me, there was plenty of water on the course. It was nice to see the water jugs back out there and filled with the cold stuff. Four water bottles in the cart to start and I think there were four water stations. That’s how you do it!! You’re still going to get hit for a pricy round. Nothing in Vegas is “affordable” right now unless you are playing twilight. That’s the only reason, well, along with the bunkers, why it’s getting 4/5 stars. We’ll be back sooner than later!

LOVED everything about this venue! They are an all inclusive so it helped with planning our wedding! Having our ceremony and reception all in one place made everything with our guest run smooth. Tina, Brittany and Ed were so amazing to work with! They were on top of everything from start to finish! We requested, they delivered! The food was aaaamazing! Everyone can't stop talking about the amount of food that was served and how great it all tasted! Thank you all for making my wedding day vision come to life... Better than I could have ever dreamed! This is a very pure golf course at an exceptional value in the area. This Jack Nicklaus design is a great test of your golf game, with the great views of the mountains and Vegas Strip that are seen in this area. The houses that are on the course are also incredible, and make for excellent secondary scenery while playing. I would highly recommend playing here.

Fun golf course with lots of variety. Fairly forgiving too which is a bonus. Great golf carts with built in speakers and detailed GPS. The view of the Strip coming down the back 9 was very cool. Only reason review wasn’t 5 stars was a couple service-related snafus (long delays in beverage cart appearances, unfriendly server for breakfast in the restaurant). But overall a great experience

We played during the fall over-seeding period. Therefore the course was a bit wet (no roll) and cart path only. That said, we had a great time and we are looking forward to play the course again. Each of the holes is a copy from another Nicklaus course. Most seemed to be from Mexico, New Mexico, California, and Arizona. You’ll find the information on each of the tee markers. Only 2 water holes (1 & 18) Generous fairways and very playable rough. Shortest tees at 5043 yards. And some interesting black sand bunkers in 4 & 11 Greens are typical JN. The carts have Golf Logix colorized green maps. If these are new to you then you might like learn about them before you hit the course. Houses along the course are well set back (mostly) A very good practice range Small restaurant which, when we were there, was cooking hot dogs on an outdoor gas grill. Pace of play was 4h20 - very good considering that it was cart path only About 10 miles from the strip - very easy to Uber out and back. Worth playing

I got married at Bear's Best last weekend and people are still talking about how AMAZING the wedding was. This location is so beautiful-breath taking views. All the guests were blown away by the food! It was so good and we got to create our own menu.Guests continued to talk about how incredible every single meal was The serviced was unmatched. I have never had a better team by my side. Tina and Tracy helped me through every step of the way and made my vision come to life. They run a tight ship and allow you to be stress free because they help you coordinate everything leading up and on the actual day. Ed provide the bet service on the night of the wedding. Every guest was catered to and my glass was never empty. He made sure everything ran smoothly. We had the best night of our life and it was mainly due to the help of this incredible staff. If you are looking to get married in Vegas-PLEASE CHECK OUT BEAR'S BEST. IT WAS LITERALLY THE BEST! I am still in awe at the beauty of the night and how helpful and friendly everyone was.

Absolutely gorgeous course. Fairway and green conditions were best and well-maintained. Also the course has a beautiful strip view. Really well designed course like challenging but so much fun. Not much elevations but bunker and green locations are testing your skills. It is a little hard to find a good deal and not-a-cheap course but definitely worth to play for sure. Would come back.

Very favorite!!! 1st time, but not the last!! Friend came in,from,Seattle and we did 5 courses in,5 days. This is my new favorite!!! The staff was great, the price was unreal for what you got! The course was in,perfect shape!! Very beautiful course!! You didnt even,mind being in the sand...they have black sand traps, "welcome to the hole!!" Everything about this course was great!!! No over booking, so you could enjoy yojr round, without being rushed...thats a big deal!! Cant wait to golf there again!! Thanks for a great memorable day!!

Having our wedding at Bear's Best was a very easy decision. From the moment we arrived for a tour we knew that it was going to be a great event. The staff is incredibly responsive, nice, and very flexible. The outdoor venue is beautiful with the mountains in the background and all of our guests LOVED the decorations from Bear's Best. People could not stop taking photos of everything. They helped us communicate with all of the vendors and on the day of the event we really felt like they took care of everything to make it not at all stressful. If we did it all over again, we would still pick Bear's Best without hesitation.

Course was in great shape. For the most part, an absolutely beautiful track. Plenty to think about, shot to shot. As many have said, the bunkers leave a lot to be desired, only having a very thin layer of sand before hitting "concrete". The black sand is more of your typical bunker, but it takes several holes into your round to figure that out. Still, it was a very fun course to play.

Super friendly staff. Super friendly bar staff. Amazing greens. Amazing driving range. Wow wow wow. Hopping green. Really kind to younger junior players. The driving range was like a fairway on a country club hole. The balls are in a triangle. They charge per hour rather than per bucket. Couldn't think of any other place to go for balls. Really impressive.

Greens are pretty rough shape, the fairways are excellent, the front nine requires some serious finesse, but the greens are definitely reachable in reg with a well placed tee shot. The staff is great, check in is simple, but the starter seemed a little lost; but still very friendly. The bar staff is awesome, the food is very good, and the carts are well appointed with GPS, Bluetooth speakers, and cart to clubhouse communication. The biggest downfall is the actual starter process; just very confusing.

Was able to go and play part of Bears Best while I was visiting Las Vegas. Unfortunately, my experience was slightly disappointing because of the lack of ranger's keeping up pace of play. At the turn, myself and my playing partner showed up to the 10th tee and there were 4 groups on the hole. Called the club house who was very helpful, but they did not have anyone available at the time to go and move the group. We were able to play the front 9 again, but was disappointed that I could not play the back 9 which I am told is the better 9. Hopefully next year I will get a chance to play the whole course.

A very challenging course. Lots of well placed fairway and greenside bunkers. Great views of the valley from all the holes. Strategy is key, stay on the short grass and hit your spots, if you try to challenge the course you may regret it. Pace of play was great and the course is in great shape.

We were at Bear's Best participating in a charity golf tournament and Mike and his staff were great . Everything ran very smooth . The course is challenging and very scenic. Definitely a course that should be on your short list to play in Las Vegas!

Had a great time at Bears Best in Vegas. Played 36 and grabbed lunch in between. The course is in fabulous shape and the greens runs so very true. Holes are all well designed. The staff was extremely helpful especially Bobby the starter who was able to get us out an hour earlier for our second round. The restaurant had a great variety of choices including the popular tater tots. The food was very good. Definitely on my list to return there in the future.

Just finished a weeklong golf trip playing 36 a day for 7 days. This course was on the menu. Great course. Very playable, challenging, but not ridiculously punitive. Great condition less the bunkers…the irony of not having sand available in the desert is not lost on me. Staff was great. Pace was great. Food in the clubhouse was great. Cart staff were great too. Only lost a star because of the bunkers. For the money we pay to play…buy some sand please.

Great course. Challenging for sure, and errant shots will cost you, as they should. But a very fair course for all skill levels. Most fairways are large, and there are no crazy undulating greens. I especially enjoyed the enthusiasm of the young man working the bar/grill. I was probably the 100th person he had seen that day, but you would have thought I was the only customer in the place. Staff don’t get recognized enough. This young man deserves recognition.

Great course great layout absolutely beautiful homes all around the course not on a new construction clubhouses big driving ranges good only reason I give it 4 stars out of 5 and not the 5 is because the rate is pretty high so 250 to $300 is pretty high especially for the Vegas area and then of course you can play for half the price but I absolutely recommend playing the course it's worth it at least Play Once sceneries great we played it at dusk Suns going down over come down the back few holes on the back nine and got some good pictures that I included that have the Vegas Strip with the setup and then actually the sun going down over it so it was nice

Great course, the views of the city are great and each hole is challenging and entertaining. You can rent clubs, make sure you’re there early to practice a bit. The restaurant/bar isn’t great, but it’s a good place for snacks. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

Great golf course with an interesting mix of holes from various courses. We were here in late November for a tournament and enjoyed every bit of it. The restaurant has a small menu but good food. Everyone of the staff members were great too!

Las Vegas local. I’ve played Bears Best a few time most recently 4/10 with a group visiting from Texas. The course conditions was average and unacceptable for the price and for being regarded as one of the top courses in Las Vegas. Bunkers were void of sand and hard as concrete. Tight lies around the green, and in parts of several fairways. The course seems more of a money grab for tourist than a quality course and a great golf experience for the money required to play here. Drinks and food are very overpriced as well. I’m extremely disappointed as this was one of the courses I suggested was a must play in Vegas. Needless to say I won’t be recommending this course in the future.

Went to the Country Club for a Christmas Party. Wow, the view of the Mountains and Red Rock is Fantastic. That alone was worth it. The food and service was aplus!

No golf this time, but we saw an acrobatic show put on by Cirque Mechanics. This was one of the best venues to host this amazing show. The mountains and sunset made a perfect backdrop. I hope they will host more events like this.

Nice course; surprisingly slow greens. The staff was not as helpful as you'd expect for the fees your paying. There are certainly better value courses in Vegas. The maintenance of this course is very good and the views of Las Vegas are spectacular. But, as a golf experience....just average.

Great layout. Granted they were closed for overseeding but they should not be charging top dollar. Every putt needed two or three marks fixed. Way too many pock marks for a course that had been closed for overseeding. Conditions were not good at all and it was cart path only. Charged 169 and it should have been 125-140.

Wow! What a course. This is a must play. Bear's Best dosen't mean Jack's most difficult holes, but the most interesting ones. Excellent staff, cart service, top notch golf carts with, water, coolers, blue tooth speakers to pair with your phone, GPS in carts, etc. All amenities A+. I've read several reviews saying the course conditions were "Meh". Balderdash! Course was fire! :) P.S. You want to see where the 1% spends their days when they aren't in Monte Carlo or the Bahamas? Bear's Best is lined with their houses. Top notch, soul crushing, "Where did I go wrong in life?" scenery.

Bear's Best is the coolest golf course I have ever been to! This golf course has everything you would ever want. When you are finishing up the first 9, food and/or drinks can be ordered from the cart to be eaten or picked up from the clubhouse, and likewise on the 18th. Distances from the cart to the hole are electronically detected from a marker on top of the flag to reflect the actual distance, not just an estimate to the middle. Every hole is designed in accordance to Jack's list of favorites, so the select holes that he has hand picked for this course is mimicked to the "T", meaning holes that were picked from Colorado actually have pine trees planted , the bunkers in holes picked from Hawaii (specifically the Big Island) have black sand and palm trees. Every hole literally makes you feel like you are trying a new course, very cool!

Absolutely loved this course. Desert golf at its finest! The hole layouts are appropriately challenging, but still score-able. The greens are nothing to write home about, but the views are magnificent. Play this course and you won't regret it.

Good golf for not completely unreasonable rates about 15-20 minutes from the strip. Some great views of the strip from certain holes. Equally impressive are the houses that surround this place. Also worthy of mention was the little restaurant... I had an excellent grilled chicken wrap - surprisingly good!

Played today with 2 member who say they play almost everyday. I don't blame them. I would too. Immaculate track. Fun yet challenging. Open off the tee, but still placement is important. Staff just fine. Great range. 1st time here and wont be last time.

A very challenging layout from the tips that will have you a bit apprehensive off the tees. If you are a bit wild off the tee you will be in trouble. The course was in decent shape for the weather (106 degrees) but there were some spots on the greens that needed some attention. The fairways were in good shape and surprisingly there were a lot of dead spots in the rough. I made my tee time through golf now ($60 x 2; plus $35 for spectator) and it was a bit pricey for the time of day. I was able to play Spanish Trails for a better price ($38 x 2) and they gave my spectator a cart for free. Staff was nice and they have a very nice practice facilty. The range was nice as we were able to hit off the grass. One suggestion for the range is to have more targets out on the range. The day I played the range targets were 100, 120, 210, and then 250. More targets between 120 to 210 would be nice.

The layout is fun, challenging, and eye catching. The par 4s are all of average distance, a lot of 110 yard 2nd shots. Par 5’s provide scoring opportunities... but tougher greens. But, to be honest, the par 3’s don’t fit with the rest of the course. Three of the four are about 250 yards. I find that hard to swallow when the rest of the holes are manageable from tee to green. None of the par 4’s demanded 250 yard shots into the greens, so that was a disappointment for me. A majority of the bunkers were very thin with sand, making it impossible to make certain shots from green side bunkers. If you’re going to surround a skinny green with bunkers, you’ve got to make sure they have enough sand. Otherwise you have playing partners going from bunker to bunker because their club is bouncing off the sand instead of splashing. The greens are in very nice shape, but I will say they are impossible to read 75% of the time. Very subtle breaks that you can’t see. Makes it hard to get birdies unless you play there twice a week. I don’t think most people who come to play here will know the greens well enough to do that. But that still didn’t take away from an overall fantastic experience. The course was in great condition, other than some of the bunkers, and I will be back. Best starter in the world. That is all.

After numerous rounds sponsored by work vendors throughout the years, it's time to give some props to a well kept course. Holes are modeled after famous holes from Jack Nicklaus (The Golden Bear) designed courses. Numerous tee boxes keep the course challenging for all skill levels via length. The tee boxes have always been in good shape with plenty of grass. The fairways are trimmed well and have never been spotty. The greens are rolled well, pretty fast but roll true. Rough isn't anything too punishing and will be pretty easy for low handicap golfers. (which is not me, but I watch my golfer friends hit out with ease) There are million dollar custom homes that surround the golf course and you get some nice views of the city from a distance Service has always been top notch all around. From bag drop off, checking in and the cart girls on the course, everyone is friendly and works with a professional sense of urgency. The golf carts are GPS equipped with monitors to help gauge your distance throughout the round. Overall, this is a track that probably doesn't get a lot of play because of locations and possibly price depending on the season. With that, I've gotten through my rounds quickly without traffic jams and the course is always in better shape. I'll definitely be back in the near future. Hit em straight! =)

Friendly staff and overall good course. Driving range was off of grass which is always a plus. There are definitely some fun holes and beautiful scenery through the 18. The one negative I would say was the greens. Pretty slow and not in the best shape for a course of this level.

This is a fun well maintained golf course. The views of Vegas are amazing. My only complaint was the pace of play. Front 9 was great but the back 9 was completely backed up. There was what looked like a bachelor party about 4 groups ahead of us. On one hole adjacent to us inward on the back 9 they had 6 carts with 2 players on each cart. All 12 in the middle of the fairway with no shirts on and as loud as 12 drunk guys could be. Didn't see a Marshall all day.

I’m not a golfer but came to enjoy the venue and man-o-man it was worth it! Paired up with great local couple and enjoyed the day off the strip against the mountains edge. Staff was accommodating and courteous. Not a golf pro but felt welcome and not rushed. Great entertainment value away from the crowds.

Attended an evening wedding here, the set up for the short exchange of vows outside and the reception inside were lovely. The bartender could not make some of the simplest drinks such as an old fashion or whiskey sour (whiskey in margarita mix), but very nice over all. I would recommend.

Liked the course - paid $69 rather than the higher green fee. I don't think the course is worth $200+ per round, but for what we paid it's a great deal. Great staff and course was in good shape. Bring an old club for hitting out of the desert. Jack must have been in a sadistic mood when he designed the sand bunkers. I'm 60 and in good shape, but getting in and out of bunkers was ridiculous. My son had to crawl out of one bunker. All in all though we had a great time.

Excellent experience. There are several nicer courses in the area to choose from. Bears best hust crept in to my rota. I thought it might have gimmicky or chopped up, however the course flies and I really enjoyed it. I joke with my brother that course reviews directly correspond to how well you play. I played decent but the course was outstanding. I recognized a couple holes from t.v. and a couple I've played. Outstanding condition, interesting in that it has more draw holes than usual. Fun time I'll go back

Not so much Jack Nicklaus's "greatest hits", but this wonderful golf course features a re-creation of 18 of his "greatest holes", drawn from golf courses located west of the Mississippi. Although based on several different courses, the individually sculpted holes band together very well, providing for a challenging and very memorable round of golf. The panorama that awaits at the final green is simply stunning.

I absolutely love this course. I came on a two rounds for a $90 coupon deal. This course is definitely two things: far out there, and really, really fun to play. The service in the pro shop is top level and genuine and they have a great selection of grear, clubs, balls and any other accessories you will need to have a fun outing on the course. There is one hole, a par 3, which I cannot remember the number, but you tee off from up high and it overlooks the hole surrounded by black sand which they brought in from Montana or Wyoming, i believe. The cool thing about this course is, of course, it is Jack Nicklaus's favorite holes from the courses he designed. It was really cool playing there, even though I shot over 100.

I played Bear's Best a couple weeks ago and have been meaning to leave a review. The course was in great shape, practice range is close by, the staff inside the clubhouse were wonderful. The only problem was the extremely annoying and interruptive course ranger, Guy. All of the carts have GPS systems on them and the course managers will track you and your pace around the course.. ok fine, whatever. However, if your are off pace, even if it is due to a slow down ahead of you and even if there are no groups within 2 holes behind you, Guy will be there to tell you about it. Now, I'm as big of a proponent on keeping the pace up as anybody, but it doesn't seem the best way to remedy slow play is for the Ranger to stop your group while in the middle of putting and finishing out a hole to give a diatribe about how you need to pick up the pace. Hey, Guy, how about you just wait til we get to the next tee box so the people catching up to us can hit into this green. Now, if this were to just happen once then I'd chalk it up to a mistake. However, twice just on the front 9 this "Course Cop" had to stop our group during play around the green and lecture us on speeding up and where/how we should place our extra clubs around the green when we are all experienced golfers. We finished the round about 30 minutes off pace, of which 20 were due to Guy's timely interruptions. The course was nice, most of the staff was lovely, and we purchased some nicely discounted apparel in the pro shop. However, the whole experience was certainly soured by this one employee, Guy. Please, take this man off the course. He is such a pain in the ass on what should have been a lovely golf vacation.

I love this course the scenery is beautiful as well as the homes. This is a mimic course of Nicklaus's favorite holes. The course is not easy by any means but still gives the avarage golfer the one shot that keeps them coming back.

Absolutely top notch wedding in every way. We just had our wedding at Bear's Best and they exceeded every single one of our expectations. We flew out here from the east coast to be married and are so happy with our decision. Ed and Tina helped more than we could have ever imagined, both before and during the wedding, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. All of our family and friends said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and are still talking about it. VENUE: The venue was absolutely beautiful. Our ceremony was held outside with the mountains in the background and it was gorgeous. Ed laid out flowers on the ground and we had the columns at the altar and it looked perfect. The ceremony ended just before sunset and timed perfectly for our photos. From what we heard the cocktail hour was great, and then the reception was perfect. Our tables looked great, we loved the centerpieces, and everyone was raving about how pretty everything was. FOOD: We had hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour - crab cakes, Greek cheese pies, and egg rolls - and they were all amazing. We had a plated dinner - beef with mushroom sauce, chicken with sun-dried tomato sauced, mashed potatoes, and veggies - and it was literally the best meal I have ever had at a wedding. The cake was red velvet with a cream cheese frosting and was incredible. Everything was top notch. ENTERTAINMENT: RJ from Knight Sound DJ was everything we could ask for. Before the wedding he asked us if we had any other preferences other than what we sent before the wedding, and he made sure the wedding was a fun party. He got people out on the dance floor and kept them out there with fun music. PHOTOGRAPHY: Ella was a great photographer, enthusiastic, and commanded everyone effectively to make sure we finished all of our photos before sunset. The videographer was really nice and we are looking forward to seeing the video of the ceremony. PHOTO BOOTH: Smash Booth was an absolute blast and everyone was raving about the photo booth for a few days after the wedding. It was really cool how you could get the gif of your photos if you wanted. Again, thank you to Ed, Tina, and everyone who made our wedding so amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
