Our family loves the club -- everything about it. The gym is clean with helpful trainers and equipment that is always in good repair. We love Tavern 91, too. The food quality has greatly improved over 3-4 years ago, and the service is excellent. Virginia and her staff deserve a lot of credit for relaxing dining experiences and great food. We also look forward to special events like trivia night and Friday night live music.

I have been going to the country club most of my life. It is a beautiful golf course. The scenery is beautiful. The gym is small but well kept and functional. They have a great stand alone event center that is nice. The pool has two water slides and a lazy river. The downsides are the parking is awful. The last few events I have attended the wait staff were not very professional. The pool has zero shade. You can rent a Cabana but there is no shade over the pool.

Our team went here on Thursday night for our dinner. Our waitress was nice and friendly but she was so busy so service was not really good. She took orders quickly but it took at least 30 minutes to get our foods or drinks to come out. Foods were ok but the dessert - tiramisu - was amazing. We did complain about the service with a restaurant manager and he apologized for everything and they’re trying to hire new employees. Hopefully next time we come back, service should be better!

Beautiful facility and friendly staff. Came to play practice round and son tournament. Play the Island course, which is 1 of 4-5 courses they have. Greens were in great shape for the current Houston weather. Awesome layout. Wish I live north of Houston so I can join and play up here.

Love this club! Excellent staff! Incredible gym and pools, restaurants are great with attentive, caring club management, warm greeting by name and dedicated servers. All the golf courses you could want in one club with mature trees, water, well cared for fairways and greens.

My Life

I met a very dear friend here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and it was quite lovely. The crabcakes were the perfect sized appetizer but if you're a huge crabcake fan like I am I'd suggest getting your own order of them. You'll thank me later. I didn't much care for the vegan tostadas dish but that won't prevent me from returning. They have plenty of other great options to choose from instead. Staff was attentive and friendly.

My husband an i rode up here, we shopped, looked around, i was rainy but we stomped around, we enjoyed the atomospere, the grounds are well kept, they working on the restrauant, an the water feature out ft.we even enjoyed a big cup of joe.to warm us up. Come on up visit its so very nice.

They are so friendly and really have the guest in mind. Gotta try those burgers or their amazing pizza!! They're the best! They also have great salads and vegan options and stuff just for the kiddos!! Garrett is amazing and if your not sure which wine to pair with your entree. Just ask for casey!! He's definitely your man!

Attended a function there, a 75th birthday party in one of their banquet rooms. Beautiful grounds. Catering and bartending staff were awesome, very professional, friendly and helpful. The food presentation was amazing, hot and very good. Do not know if facility is available only to members of Kingwood Country club, but worth inquiring into.

Awesome staff, great facilities, a club that really goes above and beyond to look after its members. The gym, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, golf course and great places to eat, what more can you ask for? Plenty of events for the whole family and beautiful pool area and lazy river for the kids in the summer. During COVID-19 they have gone the extra mile to keep everything clean and safe for all the members and we appreciate that very much. A wonderful place to go! The food is excellent, the pool is a mini resort, the staff is amazing. We spend as much time here as we can. The Holiday events are over the top and the restaurant views are total peace. Its worth every penny and it's super affordable to be a member.

Members only County club. Pool area and athletic facilities are very nice. Workout area has all the modern equipment. A full membership allows you four golf courses to choose from. Club dining options available and catered facilities are very nice.

Beautiful golf course. It appears they have just opened a new restaurant which should be fun to try out. Parking was great, but is going through some construction. They have 2 buildings. One for exercising and classes while the main building hosts the club rooms and restaurants.

We walked out onto the course on Monday when they are closed for golfing and took photos of the bald eagles nest. There are 2 chicks who are getting bigger. The adults were away but one came by to check on the chicks and I got a few shots

I am a member here, and I really enjoy it. My family gets a lot of use out of the club. My wife and I both use the golf a lot, and our kids are on the unlimited monthly daycare, which is nice. Oldest daughter (6) is also taking the golf camps in summer, and really enjoys it. Pool area is great for family. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is the service in the restaurant can be pretty bad sometimes. They auto tip everyone, and sometimes the wait staff acts like they know their tip, so they don't have to work for it. Food is great though, and overall experience here is family oriented and fun

Member here for a year. Join here if you don’t mind the following: 1. Tremendously apathetic service 2. 2/4 courses with unconventionally poor layouts 3. Stacked tee times and slow play 4. “Voluntary” member charges without permission or notification

Have been a member for almost a full year now and couldn't be any happier. I'm a golfer so I really enjoy having four courses (or five if you count Deerwood) available to play. They've kept the courses in pretty good shape, even during the middle of summer when drought conditions make such a task a difficult one. The renovated Clubhouse, the new Island Grille and Tavern 91 (both food and service are awesome, props to the Chef and his staff!) and the new locker room area are great, as well as the Fitness Center with it's very large spaces and state of the art equipment. But what I enjoy the most about this place is the amazing staff that runs it, always on top of things and incredibly friendly, from the General Manager to the maintenance crew. The place is great and offers a great experience and value for those that live in the Kingwood area and those like me that don't mind commuting there every weekend.

I didn't really eat all that much at Kingwood Country Club but I played the Forest Course and the front nine of the Island course. The Island Course was much easier as the lies were flat. The Forest Course is more of a links style course as not of the lies were easy. To make it even harder, you had to strategically hit different clubs out of the tee box as I could drive through most fairways. Both courses were very fun.

I go here to play tennis and the courts are really nice and when you go to the pool which has slides diving boards a splash pad and also a lazy river so and they also serve you with care but it does cost quite a lot of money but is worth it.

Was at a wedding here in May 2013. This country club used to be dated and old. They've invested a ton of money into revamping the bar, restaurant, club shop and pool areas. To me, it now looks like the high-end country club they are trying to go for.

As I kid this was the place to be to play golf, swim, eat, or generally just enjoy all that Kingwood has to offer. As it is a lot older now, it has gotten even better with expanded swimming facilities and more courses to choose from.
