Great course, well kept and pretty open. Most holes can be viewed from tee box. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Greens are undulating and pin placement was more difficult than expected. Over all a fun course to play. There is also a driving range as well as a restaurant on site with a nice outdoor patio.

If you're a golfer it's impossible not to like Stanley. Very old course, great layout on the Blue, White, and Red courses, all with beautiful old trees, ponds, wildlife. It's challenging enough for low handicappers but playable for less talented players, too. Always gets a lot of play, for good reason. If you've never played Stanley, get out and do it. You definitely will not be disappointed. The restaurant is a great place for after golf food and drink, too. We like to sit on the patio during comfortable weather.

As a life long CT resident, I haven’t been to Stanley in 15+ years. I realize Costco came in and a few holes had to be reconfigured. But the course as a whole is in terrific condition. Am I right in learning that the course was bought by another party? All around good experience!

Challenging course in good condition. Friendly staff. A little confused on where the next hole is in some parts. There are 3 x 9 hole courses. When playing 18 they typically send you White to red with no delays in-between. Blue is for 9 holes and those who show up without a tee time.

One of the best public courses in the area. The course is well maintained and the range has been updated with top tracer tracking. The restaurant is great as well. Course does get busy so be sure to book a tee time.

The redesigned Red 9 and the upgraded bar and deck areas are very nice. These upgrades have breathed new life into an old muni! Course is always well maintained!

I have not played since the new 9 was put in. It's in good shape green are large,able to shoot decent score. Tough to get out early but I'll be back I enjoyed the round.

Very clean and good course, large variety of holes and different layouts. Driving range was amazing and the putting green was good as well. After golfing 18 I visited the restaurant and the waitstaff was timely, efficient and food was amazing. Would definitely come back another time and would recommend Stanley Golf Course to anyone.

Some guys almost got in a fist fight, and I got to see a young teen berated by an old man for not following weak directions. I love chaos and this golf course, but the beer cart seldom travels on the blue (9 hole) course

Hadn't been back to the course since Costco was built. The new design is good, they did a great job working around the building and still cresting some nice golf holes. Always enjoyed this golf course, and had a great experience after the round at the bar. Service was fantastic, food and drinks were great. Love taking the trip over to Stanley for an early morning tee.

Stanley I believe is one of the best municipal golf courses in Ct. For early April I was very happy with the greens. They were really quite level and very few bumps for April 5

I visited Stanley for the first time a month ago. I never have high hopes for public courses in urban areas, so I didn't know what to expect. I found the facilities, the course, and the staff to be exceedingly pleasant during my time here. The greens were relatively immaculate, and the grounds in general were very well kept. As always, I never bother to negatively review anything, but I would suggest that the room for improvement here is only in the areas of the catered food (a little dry in the sandwich department) and the width of the driving range (which, I guess is a very minor complaint). I would be more than happy to have a course like this in my back yard.

Currently my favorite golf course in CT. It was in great shape even after all the rain we had. Looking forward to playing here again. I played Wintonbury the following week and honestly I liked Stanley better overall.

Course was in pristine condition and the starter and course marshall were very considerate and helpful. Always enjoy my time there and the golf carts with the yardage indicators is a godsend.

I've never golfed here, but I drive past it sometimes and it's beautiful. The lake on either side of the road as you drive up to it is especially breath taking during early fall, around 2:30, because of the leaves and the sun's positioning.

Employees here are absolutely wonderful. Great friendly people that are apparently very happy in their jobs. Course is well cared for and speed of play is hard to match. Didn't see a marshall, but unlike most courses there was no delays whatsoever. Very nice course and very reasonable prices. Strongly recommend.

The Stanley Golf Course is public, however it's nicer than some private clubs I have played. They have challenging greens and some tough, but in a good way, tees. The fairways are clean and trimmed. They have three sets of mine, a nice putting practice green and a good sized driving range that you don't have to drive to... The facility has a great restaurant for tournament dinners and a good sized bar. Overall, private quality at a public price.

Great course. Three unique 9 hole courses nestled in between West Hartford and New Britain. Each nine plays a little differently. There is also a heated driving range, practice green and pitching area. This course remains in great shape all season due to the staffs tireless efforts. It can get pretty crowded but generally all the folks that play here are nice and willing share a round of golf.

Haven't did any holes here but perfect place for driving range i love it plus love close. Rubber teas and small medium and large go for 6, 9, &12 no complaints with this place

The Starter is very accommodating on a busy day. Course maintained well. No problems if you want to play through or let others. Nice variety of holes and courses. Always a good time and a great 19th hole!

Can't beat the view/location. We've been there before Covid. However it's July and they are open so we gave it a try. A bit disappointed in the portions and the drinks seemed a bit juicy. It's evident post-coated the financial hurt as they must be cutting back. We'll try them again in 3 to 6 months.

The starter is friendly and let us get out on whichever 9 we preferred. Conditions are below average of the courses I've played so far this year. Pace of play was slow even though the course wasn't very busy. I usually only play here if I get a very good deal through a tee time website and if I'm in the area. Then driving range is small and well kept. There are two practice greens, one with a bunker and pitching area.

Nice track that is conveniently located. The holes can get a little repetitive, but don’t sleep on this course as you can post a big number in a hurry on more than a few holes from the back tees. The reason that I LOVE coming to Stanley however is to practice — they have the best driving range around. Heated covered stalls in the fall and spring really separates Stanley from the rest in this area. Also the ball dispenser takes credit cards so you can be out of your car and hitting balls within two minutes without speaking to a soul — super convenient. Chipping green and putting green are also nicely located and give you all of the shots/chips/putts to work on your game and get better.

One of the most well taken care of Municipal courses in the entire state of Connecticut. Three different nine-hole layouts offer challenging fun and interesting holes. A place you must check out if in Central Connecticut.

Really nice grounds , but some how to us not that interesting a course. We only played the Blue course . I really think another round would be worthwhile . It was blazing hot and I am not quite sure I am being fair.

Review is for driving range only. Nice clean facilities. Balls are all relatively in good condition. Ball dispenser takes credit cards without having to go into pro shop.
