Rockledge is a beautiful golf course, enjoyable for all levels of golfers and challenging enough for low handicappers. Lots of stately trees, some attractive ponds, nice looking homes surrounding the course. The restaurant is a great place for a refreshing drink after one's round and the food is excellent. It's West Hartford, after all and it has to be good. WeHa seems to do everything right. Rockledge is a 10/10 in my opinion.

Really excellent course. Always in great shape. Very open so errant tee shots can be mostly found and played. They have twilight golf which I do every week.

Expensive but a nice course. Some golfers there can act entitled but overall a good experience. Course is well maintained. I look forward to golfing there more this season.

Literally got off a plane, drove to Rockledge and got right on for a Sunday afternoon 18. Not knowing (first time here), I got a cart. But played with two walking golfers and could have easily walked the round. Beautiful course, lots of TLC throughout. Great tee boxes, lush bent green fairways. Perfect greens that rolled true. Loved the layout. Nice mix of rolling hills, water, blind tee shots and challenging par threes. Bunkers in great shape. Cost was good. $48 to ride, Around $35 to walk. From the back tees, it was about 6500 yards.

I visited my 97yr. old family friend last week in West Hartford, CT. I took her for a ride on the interstate and around town. She was so impressed to see the beauty this city has to offer. I stopped at the Gof course because it is huge. I have friends in Virginia that golf as well and this course is enormous! It's simply beautiful!! I wanted Ms. Doris Artist to see a variety of things before alzheimers kicks in. We went to lunch and she told me, "You just don't know what you have done by taking me out today, I thoroughly enjoyed it!" I wanted to cry. The joy you experience from a good deed is priceless. She has been a friend of my family as long as I can remember and I am 65yrs. old. Never forget the Elderly because if it's God's will you too will see your Golden days as she has. I pray to see her again in two more months. Send her a card, candy or a pack of chewing gum please! She is at West Hartford Health and Rehabilitation Center at 130 Loomis Dr. 06107 Rm. 225. I pray your days will be as long, happy and prosperous as her's but most importantly, she has been a faithful servant of the Most High God Jehovah. I will always love her. Naomi

Great layout and the course NM isnin really good shape. Tees, fairways and greens are all really good. With the rain and the cooler weather the grass is coming in nicely.

When factoring in course, restaurant, cost, and amenities, I left yesterday feeling like it was the best golf experience that I've had this year. The course was in excellent condition, especially considering the drought conditions we've had this year. It's very straight, and not overly challenging, but can be played up to 6500 yards from the tips. My only complaint is that 1 and 10 are very close to the driving range, it's a safety hazard as balls find their way on those holes, and if you're off the fairway, you'll never find your ball in a sea of range balls. The restaurant is a great way to end your round too, very high quality and a pleasant surprise. We can't wait to come back.

Great place to play if you can get out. Super busy and it seems they allow one person to book multiple times in a row and if you are a single trying to get out, good luck. No special preferences given to town residents either like other towns.

Rockledge is one of the finest municipal courses I've had the pleasure of playing. The layout is interesting, with well trapped, protected greens and strategically located water hazards.The fairways are wide enough for the occasional golfer but scoring well requires shot placement. The course is very well maintained and in great shape, especially for a municipal club, even after a long cold winter and wet spring.

The course is always in great shape, staff are always knowledgeable and courteous, and rates (especially twilight at $15) is very reasonable for how good of condition the course is always in. Tee boxes and greens are, for the most part, immaculate. Then there's the drinks on the deck afterwards which offers a wonderful view of groups coming down 18. Just a great place to play and eat/drink.

The staff treated my son like a absolute king!! We had a excellent C21 Holiday party in December 21. Ty. The food wasn’t half bad either . Actually the vegetables were excellent(fresh), potatoes great consistency, an chicken was not dry. To be honest this is a nice little gem to go and have lunch low key!

Great golf course! Just played a round with our golf group of eight. Outstanding conditions and fun and interesting layout. This course has more of a private feel than public muni. Tough getting tee times, now I know why. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens in great condition. Old style layout that has exceptional and interesting holes in a smaller than average acreage. To top it off a great outdoor deck with good food, drinks, and service. I highly recommend this course!

Played here for years. Friendly staff and one of the nicest public courses around. Not only many challenges but if don't hit ball well u will get in trouble. Have a few nice changes, traps has nice soft sand some fescue in the right place to catch your bad drives. Worth a drive rom anywhere.

Went for lunch and had a good experience. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was almost 95 degrees when we went so choose to sit inside. Our server was very polite and knowledgable. The menu was fairly extensive for a lunch. Between 3 people we ended up sharing a few sandwiches and a salad and all turned out to be great. Of course the view was great! That was one of the main reason for being there.

Great public golf course that can be a good challenge. The course is well maintained every time I'm there, and I generally have a great time for 18 holes. Only gripe is I feel the driving range could be improved. Maybe a few more areas with grass to hit off and updated yardage markers.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our dinner out on the terrace. We felt safe with COVID-19 guidelines being met. I was however taken back when the hostess seated me and said they have a time limit of an hour and a half. While my enjoyed my daughter and I fully enjoyed every mouthful. I kept feeling like our time was rushed, not with the waiter he was delightful... but I didn't finish my salad and the main entree was served. I understand restaurants are limited with the number of people that they can serve. When we left there were a bunch of empty table's. My suggestion to them is possibly rewording the time issue.

Had a four person group on Fathers Day for my first time ever golfing. The staff was polite & courteous. The course was absent beautiful, very maintained, and golf carts clean with no problems to report. Definitely going back for driving range & some solo practice.

I attended a company Christmas party here. It was my first time and I could not have been more pleased! I had the baked stuffed sole and it was wonderful. The salad was amazing, and the Bloody Mary's were perfection. They are closed until the spring, but I hope to get back there again when they open for the "Golf" season (they are located on the public golf course).

Did a nice job remodeling, deck is beautiful, view of the golf course great. Wait staff was friendly but not very experienced. Food was okay, not great but okay. I would go back and give it another try just because it just opened and everyone deserves another chance.

After playing a couple public courses within 10 mile radius this would be one of the best around the town. It's in great condition. Staff are friendly and nice and Bob, he is cool! Can't complained much except for one of the ladies at the front desk.. for some reason she just put up a poker face a lot of the times.. that's why it loses a star from my rating; otherwise it'll be a 5/5. Summer 2010.

Great course, no tee times on the weekend after 3 which is great if you forgot or just made last minute plans. Fairways are beautiful. The greens were a little iffy in the beginning of the year but they are great now.no complaints

As beautiful as any private course around. Really well maintained, always. Rich Crowe, the Pro in charge, is one of the nicest guys I know. He's trained his staff well. They are all friendly and helpful. The Men's Club, which meets every Tuesday and Friday, is a lot of fun and the members are great to play with. Rockledge is a jewel in the crow of West Hartford.

During the cold months, Rockledge becomes an off-leash dog park. It's simply awesome!

I only golf a few times a year these days but at least once a year my HS buddies come up to visit and play golf at Rockledge. My buddies are all avid golfers and we are always very impressed with Rockledge and have a great time. Great public course with a great staff.

Last time I was here I destroyed my 3 wood by slamming it on the ground after practically whiffing on a tee shot. Walked off the course on 7 th hole and haven't been back. That was 10 years ago. The course is beautiful. I stink.
