What a great course. 18 holes of mostly open fairways. Nothing too tough. Some long par 3s and a very long dogleg hole. Prices are very reasonable.

Course was in good to fair shape. Started our round at 1 pm. Completed the first 9 holes in two hours. At the 15th hole, a group associated with a golf league got in front of us. That slowed us down by 45 minutes for the last holes. Very poor management on the part of the starter.

Cant believe I've never played here before. $11 no matter when for the 9 hole north course is a great price. No tricks or frills, great practice for the price of a bucket of balls on the range.

Yes there are better maintained courses to be had in Ct but keep in mind this course is owned by a struggling city. $11 to play the flats (walking) really cant be beat no matter the shape. The golf facility is clean the carts are maintained and the club house personal are friendly. Definitely a course worth playing when you dont want to be over crowded and rushed along at stanley.

The practice range was great! Brand new mats and nice range balls. Also, the tee holders were great and the various targets at different yardages are fun to hit at. Unfortunately, I don't live very close to the course, but if I did, I would definitely go there often to hit range balls.

In very good shape for a municipal track, fairways are a bit patchy in areas, greens and rough are in great shape though. Nice layout, not overly challenging but enough trees within the layout and subtle and not so subtle undulations on the greens to keep ones attention. Will definitely be back for another round in the near future. Also the gentleman in the pro shop by the name for Joe was very friendly and amicable both over the phone and in person.

They have a lil water sprinklers setup for t he kids. (Sorry no pix) and they have the pool. They put the hoops/rims up. Full of young bruddas playing basketball... Still can't drive in the park must park on side of the street ...

The north 9 isn't the worst and it's cheap. Fairways not maintained very well. Alot of dead grass clippings on every hole. Played on a Friday at 3. Wasn't crowded at all which was nice.

Really want to like this place but the greens are in terrible shape already. They were really bad last year too and don't seem to have improved at all. Cart paths in terrible shape, no club/ball/shoe cleaners on the course. Not a great dollar value when compared to keney, stanley, or any of the West Hartford courses. Would encourage them to offer resident rates to people who live in Newington, otherwise can't justify it over one of the many other nearby courses.

Great 27 hole public golf course. The tees, fairways and greens are in excellent shape. Beautiful Park, great staff, and a nice Clubhouse make this a golfing destination! This gets five stars because the play is quick and it is not crowded.

Today, I just went to the Range. $10 for a Large Bucket and I mean Large! Great value, for the $10. Range was quality. Clean, good as far as range balls go. Noticed that the Course was busy on this beautiful day.

Only played the front 9 of 18 (27 in all) and overall it's a decent track kept in pretty good shape. Not overly challenging but walkable and reasonable rates.

The new management appears to have turned Goody around. It's not perfect, but they've made a lot of improvements. The miserable state the course was in is gone and there's now at least some hope that the course will be pristine again at some point on the next few years.

Nice course, wide open so if your tee shot goes over 2 holes, you can still find, and play it. But pay attention, golf balls can be coming at you from both sides.

Goodwin Park could be a nicer park, but it's dominated by a golf course half the year and a stupid light display the other half. There's also pool, fitness trail, nature trails, playground, basketball court, some sports fields and a pond, but it's dominated by those aforementioned two things. This has the effect of making the park seem somewhat private and exclusionary.
