Reviews of Osgood Golf Course

Nice little course, nice practice facility, nice bar & restaurant. They did just put in simulators that are really nice, and have good space to host events. Only complaints about the place is that it is only 9-holes and a par 33, not that it is bad in that setup- I just prefer your typical par-36, and because of the quality it gets a lot of play so rounds take longer than usual. If you don't mind that and are out for a leisurely round to drink some beer it's ideal.

best 9 hole course in the area. great staff, great course and it's in great shape!! They offer a driving range, putting/chipping green a nicely taken care of course, par 3 extra loop holes and highly recommended!

Absolutely love playing this course. The course in excellent condition, fun but yet challenging. The staff in the pro shop are friendly and very helpful. Great line of product for women also. Love the 3 hole loop too. I would definitely recommend it.
Alex Kjelland
Hands down the best public course in Fargo even with it only being nine holes.

I really enjoy golfing at Osgood. First off, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant has some excellent food and drink options, and the atmosphere is nice. Osgood has a driving range with plenty of individual spots to tee off at. One of my favorite times to golf here is after I believe 6:30 p.m. where they charge you almost nothing to golf nine holes before the sun goes down (not sure if many places do that.) Overall, Osgood Golf Course is one of my favorite places in Fargo.

Great experience. Well maintained, helpful staff. Besides some golfers thinking it's OK to push their carts over the green, it was a great afternoon with friends. Plus Brewtus took over the food/beer, delicious!

The course is in great shape, and we were able to breeze through our round. Very friendly atmosphere.

The course is tucked inside a newer residential area of West Fargo. Well-manicured and aesthetically satisfying (lots of mounding, native grasses, water features, and wildlife), the course, 9 holes though it may be, could easily be the F/M area's best public option if it weren't for a few things. The green complexes are the most undulated of any course in the metro (really nice) and the course itself is pretty well maintained compared to its counterparts in the area. Clubhouse staff have always been friendly and attentive, and the club pro seemed super chill and nice. The par 33 layout (4 of the 9 holes are par 3's, 1 par 5) is not something I'm necessarily a fan of though, and with so much open land to the south I'm not sure why they didn't build a traditional par 35 or 36 by adding just a little length to some holes or tweaking the design a little. Also, the one par 5 on the course (hole 2) has a really funky design where the fairway ends around 250 yards off the tee to about 300 or so. This area is all rough, so unless you're bombing drives 300+ you're either driving your ball right down the middle into deep rough, going left into a pond that runs to the green, or heading right into large mounds of fescue and a bunker. It basically forces you to layup and play the hole as a 3-shoter. I don't have any problem with the water down the left and mounding, a bunker, and fescue down the right, but this fairway thing just seems like design overkill. Really wish they'd just mow a continuous fairway to the hole and get rid of this massive fairway rough hazard, given this is the only par 5 on the course. On the flip side, a few holes later a very drive-able par 4 gives you the eagle opportunity you're basically denied on 2. Some scenic par 3's (5 and 8), all though tee box setup on either hole 3 or 8 could be changed a bit since both holes play at identical yardages now. The par 3's currently play (from blue tees) 135, 165, 165, and 195 yards, so changing one of these holes to something around 150 or 180 would give the player 4 different club choices on each of the par 3's. I'd give this course 4 or 4.5 stars since it is in really nice shape and well-maintained even if the layout is half par 3 course compared to a standard one. Mow that stupid area on 2 and I'd give 5 stars because the conditioning and green complexes are 10 steps above anything else the Fargo Park district puts out at any of its other tracks.

Good and fun 9 hole course. Good practice area's; range but also chipping and putting on the east. Quick 3 holes to practice your game too.
