Reviews of Fox Hollow Golf Course
1st time playing this track.
Canyons - Meadows combination. 2 completely different courses, both very nice. I highly recommend. Though the greens were on the slow side. It's still an awesome course.
Beautiful public golf course.
My brother and Sister-in-law took me to dinner, great atmosphere, good place to sit back and talk. Foods & prices are good. Only drawback was on a portion of the deck says smoking, a patron was smoking a cigar and not just us but most patrons moved due to the smell, when your trying to eat and enjoy it makes it difficult.
Very mediocre course, greens were crazy slow, starter was incredibly rude to us. But as always, we still enjoyed our time. Meadows course was our favorite, several fun holes on that nine. Might not be back, still up in the air. Lots of colorado courses for us still to try before we do re-runs.
The course was in good shape overall. The signage was excellent, left no ambiguity to where you were going. Greens and fairways were challenging and the breaks in the greens were interesting. Will be back for sure. Price was fair for the condition. Only complaint was the marshals drove around but didn't do anything to help with speed of play of slower players.
A truly spectacular municipal course. Played the canyons and the Meadows as part of a fundraising tournament. This course is worth going out of your way to play.
What a great enjoyable day at Fox Hollow golf course
our tee time was 850am. the weather was perfect. we got there in time to be able to hit some balls
one recommendation is take a look at the driving range before you go buy your bucket of balls because we bought two buckets at five dollars each and then we walked over to the driving range and there were a ton of leftover balls. so you may not even need to buy any.
the golf course was beautiful and in great shape!
the only thing is the Fairways are a little narrow but that’s fine for me. the scenery was great and the course had some varying obstacles but nothing too challenging.
Really awesome course! Played the Canyon and Meadows courses recently and they are distinctly different 9’s, and both great! Plenty of challenging shots, definitely not the easiest course to play, it only takes a few holes to blow up your score. Really great views on the Canyon course and the Meadows course was awesome in the fall! The course was also in fantastic condition, which is saying a lot for October golf in Colorado.
My favorite public course around.
Large driving range, but bring a range finder since ranges aren't listed. The practice putting/chipping greens are usually pretty busy.
Courses have been in great shape every time I've been there. It is a public course, but a really nice public course.
This is a really nice set of golf courses in a beautiful setting. The pricing is pretty reasonable. It's really easy just to practice your swing, or to sign up for nine or 18 holes. Signage is fairly easy to follow. I'd recommend it.
The people that work there make the place happen! Cart girl is cute. Kinda. Semi ok cute. Don't wanna make their ego too big! Love Rico!
Very nice staff running this place!!! I'm a beginner golfer but felt treated as a novice. The people in the pro shop we're wonderful! The course is beautiful too! Saw a nice big snake here too! It was great!
Great Course... Always In excellent condition! one of the best places to play golf in the state if your into that kind of thing
Great condition usually, good lay out across 3 nine hole tracks. Canyon and links can be quite the walk!
Played The Links yesterday. Great experience from beginning to end. What a beautiful course! A big "thank you!" to the staff member who took the time to deliver my phone and credit cards to me mid-round. The special rate included a bucket of balls for the practice range, where I had left my phone, credit cards, and ID (ugh!). While I hadn't noticed the loss at that point, I am very grateful to the kind man who spared me the distress that the realization would have caused me. It is so great to know that Fox Hollow counts with people of integrity and good will.
One of the best golf courses I've been to! Very beautiful views and challenging layout. Plus they have very friendly and attentive staff. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
I always like playing Fox Hollow. Even with the current huge irrigation upgrade construction, this is a great course. I also like how you can play 3 different 9 hole courses-The Canyon, The Links, and Rhe Meadow.
Gorgeous course! Links was beautiful!! Service was excellent, will be back!!
Course was in excellent condition. Prices have gone up significantly since covid but considering everyone is golfing here, can't blame the prices for the demand. Had a great day, cart was frequent and much needed. We had dinner and despite having a huge lunch on the run, I managed to sample the fries and the beer. Excellent.
Beautiful course that was not real challenging, but that's ok. There was water, trees, ponds and everything you would want to be golfing in. Lovely foothills views and the conditions were great.
Very well maintained fun layout. Playing here gives you a chance to post low scores if you're hitting them straight. But good luck if you're not haha. Looking around at gorgeous views. All for what has become a fairly average price for a round of golf. Little surprised there was no GPS on the cart most courses that are $85 a round have that. But no doubt I will tee it up there many times in the future.
Just a very nice track to play.
Employees are very friendly and accommodating. Coursea are all in very good condition.
Great driving range..
Rick Jacobus
Very nice day out on the course. Staff was attentive, rules explained very nicely and snack cart was running well. Be prepared to spend a few $$$ but I really liked this place. Challenging and fun
27 hole course. Only played Canyons and Meadows courses. Precision shots needed on several holes. I left some of those shots at home. Well maintained course. Clubhouse in excellent condition and staff very helpful and friendly. Affordable green/cart fees. Nice outdoor patio overlooking 18th green for "entertainment" while you have a lunch and a cold beer.
Great course and great views. All 3 9-hole loops are interesting in their own ways
I only played the Links 9. The course was hilly and challenging. Overall, in great condition. They have water fill ups on multiple holes which was really nice.
Played Canyon for the front 9 and Medow for the back 9. Two very different feels, but immaculate conditions and great views from the tee box.
I just hit a bucket of range balls but the course looked nice as did the pro shop, staff was very friendly as well.
Played the links course. The greens were good quality. Traffic was light so the game moved along well
Great service, course in fantastic shape, no speed records on pace of play, course is real good but not super interesting, not a lot of trees, sand or water.
3, 9 hole courses. Loved canyons.
Can't believe I've lived here 5 years and just now played this course. Country Club atmosphere, beautiful surroundings! Played Thanksgiving weekend but greens still in superb shape. Bunkers perfect, sand consistent and smooth. Played Canyon and Meadow 9s. Golf shop staff very welcoming.
Will return to play the Links 9 and also will try the Den. Heard the food is great.
Thanks Fox Hollow !
Beautiful course with stunning views! Excellent staff and the food is on "par"
One of the best courses in Lakewood! Three different 9 hole courses offer a variety of play and something new each time.
I always enjoy going to this course however, i only visted the driving range. Didn't have the time to play a round. Really looking forward to playing here again.
I do wish the range was marked so i could have an estimate about how far I'm hitting the ball. Just a suggestion.
Loved this course! There is some renovations going on (July 2021) so a few holes were shortened which was kind of disappointing at the time but the course was in great shape other than that. Fun, linksy style course (Canyon/Meadow) fees are very reasonable. Was a great experience. Look forward to seeing the renovated course. Will be back no doubt.
A long time favorite. Three 9-hole courses that are each uniquely challenging. Saw a Golden Eagle today sitting in an old dried up log.
Love this course. 18 holes, great price
Great course with challenging holes. Played Links and Canyon
Nice course. I wish they were stilk in the Green Saver book.
This place is always busy because they have the best facilities. They just aerated and you can't even tell.
Great venue for parties in the pavilion and 3 challenging 9 hole courses for every level of golf, staff is courteous and friendly and the course is beautiful and well maintained!
Great course. Wonderful restaurant with super friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Great courses and practice facility. Also, getting a bite it's pretty darn good! However with the price you pay/volume they do you'd think someone would be out there every morning with the divot fixer. Greens are kinda beat up. Overall good experience and looking forward to playing early next year when everything is more "new"
LOVELY atmosphere! I bike all the course and back to Lakewood! It's just lovely!
Beautiful golf course and impeccably maintained! Three 9 hole courses, to choose from.
My niece had her wedding last Saturday there and the people were really great. Had a good time
Nice course, bit over priced which is why I only play it once every 4-5 years.
If you book online, don’t forget to call the pro shop and tell them you are a senior for a discount.
Course is in great shape!
One of (if not) the best municipal courses I have ever played. Fox Hollow and Homestead are top tier municipal golf courses and they are in the argument for some of the better courses in the denver metro.
Very friendly staff and good food as well, they supply clubs witch is nice. Food is good but the nachos are kinda small
I love this place! Lots of rise and drops. Greens were fast and true in March. The ladies at front desk are so kind and helpful, as well as the fella at the range shack!
Great condition and layout. Pace of play was poor and only negative at some points. Would definitely recommend
Great three nine hole courses. New irrigation plan closes some holes.
Meadows nine with trees and water vs other two bare uphill. West views
On northern tops. Good restaurant.
First time I played the course and I was very impressed. I thought it was fair if you hit it to the right places. I ended up just 5 over par, so I was happy. I will do better now that I played it.
Great course, very well taken care of and plays really well.
Beautiful course for the money. Very well maintained. Even with the irrigation work, the course is playing very well. Very few spots that you would need to call ground-under-repair.
Update: Sadly dropping a star off of previous review... Played here again and was not informed of the major course maintenance going on. Multiple holes were modified due to major construction to 50-100 yard par 3's. This was not mentioned upon booking the tee time nor while in the pro shop, which led to some on course confusion. Played canyon to meadows, again in good shape (for the parts not under repair), but the lack of communication in unacceptable and disappointing out on the course.
Previous Review (4*):
Slow pace of play but fun course. Played Links to Canyon. Links felt a bit cramped and the holes did not feel very creative. Canyon was much, much better. There is a dog-leg left downhill (forgot hole number) across a "canyon" (more of a deep creek). There is a marshal at the bend to tell you when to tee off, mainly if you plan on blindly go for the green. The holes on the canyon course are more creative and I found much more enjoyable. The holes are not side by side like the links course. The greens on this course felt like glass, I kept sliding right off the back (and often times, straight down-hill). I would recommend but give Links a pass if you have the choice.
Played canyon/meadows. Course conditions were good, no gps on carts which I was expecting for courses in this price point. Played canyon to meadows, canyon was good with lots of elevation changes. Meadows was better in my opinion, more risk vs reward. Saw bev cart once for 18 holes on weekday. Shop staff was okay, not great.
Friends we were visiting in Lakewood suggested The Den at Fox Hollow for breakfast. So glad they did. We were seated outside (at our request), had a great view of the golf course and surrounding mountains (foot hills?) and lots of sun shine. Four of us ordered different breakfast items, and no one complained about the quality or short time we had to wait to receive our orders. Our waitress, Julie, really seemed interested in us, made sure we had everything we asked for and/or needed & stopped by our table several times to make sure everything was alright. This was a terrific place for a outstanding breakfast. Actually looking forward to returning to CO just to eat at this restaurant again.
The course is in very good shape and is always fun to play. One of my favorite local courses to play.
Nice 27 hole facility slow as hell. Moreover, nasty rude boomer women working the desk, have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Very very aggressive and rude over a tee time we prepaid and they mistakenly put under someone else’s name. No apologies, just rude attitudes. Lana and Paula Bauer are rude af.
Although one hole was under construction the conditions were great. We had a 132 player tournament and everyone loved the course and SERVICE! Craig did a great job and Stacee did a great job along with the employees.
Great breakfast and a wonderful atmosphere in which to meet with family.
Came in from out of town and enjoyed playing the course we booked our round a few days early and they did not tell us that the greens were aerated prior to our arrival which we would not have played the course if we had known that. Also they did charge us full price for aerated greens which is not normal considering the course is not in up to par shape at the time. Overall it's a really nice course.
Great course, always fun. Course was in great shape. Courteous staff.
Very fun! I love courses that make you think and this course is definitely a thinking man's course. Greens rolled very true and there was actually real sand in all the bunkers. Being so close to the foot hills, be prepared to deal with the occasional wind gust. Driving range is top notch, plenty of room
I have only golfed here a couple times and wow! Definitely my favorite course I have ever golfed at, it is well priced and the scenery is amazing! They have three sections on the course, canyon, meadow, and links course. I have only golfed at canyon but I loved totally recommend golfing here if you get the chance!!
Good golf course and food. Golf carts provided.
I'm so lucky this is my home course. 3 challenging courses, great staff and good food.
Fair price and great shape. Staff is very friendly also.
Fox Hollow was an absolute great golf course. This course is great for everyone from the "Saturday with the boys" golfer to the single digit handicap that is looking for a good challenge. The 18 loop when I played was the Meadows to the Links and I absolutely enjoyed the ability to play two different styles of golf in the same round. The Meadows was tree lined target golf with will protected greens and water in play. The Links was pretty authentic links golf without trees and the wind decided your strategy. The grounds crew had the curse in great shape and the practice facilities were very well thought and useful. Bang for the buck this is high on my list in the Denver Metro. I will absolutely be back.
The food and drinks were absolutely to sure for. I think it was the best pork chop I have ever had!! Great service also, the only thing was it was difficult to find, even with Google maps.
I love this course with the 3 9s canyon, links and meadows in which all are not too hard and are super fun. All three are very different and canyon is the hardest and links and meadows are about the same difficulty. Overall meadows is the best course for a hot day because it has the most shade.
So busy, they don't have to care.....at least the waitress tells good jokes 🤣😂 …
well cared for course...challenging but fair...recommended...always fun
The course Fairways and greens were in mint condition. Unbelievably healthy and beautiful. In my opinion they you should not have a tee time for 5:15 for 9 holes.
Beginning of 7th hole was quite hard to see ball. Basically impossible for the 8th and 9th. but we did it anyway.
The very latest teatime should be around 4:45 or something.
Still very beautiful
Being from Michigan I had to see if the thin air added distance to my shot. I felt like it added an extra 30 yards to my drives. Staff at the course and bar/restaurant were excellent.
This is such a cool place to visit. My son and I typically ride our bikes through the Bear Creek Trail and cut through the golf course. I've never played golf here, however I rode my bike through here several times and Ive taken the time to fish in the area as well. I've always wanted to check out their driver range it looks like a lot of fun.
Good golf course with three distinct nines - two links, and one through trees and lakes and creeks. Lots if fun...great sitting on the patio after finishing to enjoy a cool drink!
Great course, clean and fun to play.
Really well ran gold course. Great amount of diversity from holes and courses. Would recommend coming here for a short 9, or nice 18. Overall great experience.
Challenging yet fun, the three nine hole runs cover a variety of terrain.
Course was in good shape and some fun holes, but pace of play is horrific. Get ready for a 5+ hour round with the marshall doing nothing to speed it up.
This is a great public golf course run by the city of Lakewood, Colorado. It has 27 holes. 18 of which are a links style. There are some challenging shots on this course. The course was in good shape considering it is the busiest course in Colorado. It has a great view of the west foothills and of the greater Denver metro area. Great public course.
Great out door patio for breakfast. The prices are reasonable and not too long if wait. The good was decent, the kids liked the hot cakes.
We've never actually golfed here, but we often run through on the Bear Creek trail. Wide trail with plenty of room for passing bikes and golf carts. It's a great place for running or biking, assuming you don't mind going straight up the side of an earthen dam (the climb is a little steep, especially when pushing a double stroller...).
The course is beautifully done ✔️ 👏 …
Course in great conditon. Be prepared for slow play. Nice bar too.
Some of the nicest staff of any public courses in Colorado. It’s nice that you have options on each 9 holes rather than being stuck with a preset 18.
1st time playing here, and I was very impressed with the course, and the gorgeous views along the way. 18 holes of heaven!
I've played the course and it's really nice but this time I was here for a party and it was great! The service and the people were very good
Went for my wife's high school reunion, had a very nice little pad, the only complaint was you had to walk all the way up to the clubhouse if you had to go bathroom.
I have always loved this golf course...nothing else to say. The reason for this review is that one of their pro-shop attendants RAN out to the parking lot and chased me down (while I was driving) to give me back my $500.00 Bushnell range finder that I left in the cart. Wow. The customer service is top notch here and that says a lot about this place. Thanks!
Great course with amazing views. 3 9"s make it fun to play multiple times.
Easy check-in, Marshalls are awesome, greens running pretty true. Other than the unavoidable maintenance every course deals with, it's in great shape!
Have a tournament here every year always a great place to golf and in pristine condition. Great clubhouse and great service in the restaurant and bar area! Love the food and breakfast burritos! Never been dissappointed!
If I had to pick a "home course", this would be it. It is close to my house but it is also a great track. With 27 holes, it is fairly easy to play different combinations depending on the day. The only thing I dislike, and reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars, is making the turn. We like to play fast (but who wants to play a 6 hour round in the first place) and we usually get held up when making the turn due to other groups being squeezed in. The course tries to avoid this but it seems like they could be more aware of it and either hold up the new group or space out the tee times more efficiently. We almost always try to hurry through the 9th hole to get in front of any other group being squeezed in, however, I believe this should be a function of the starter or marshal and not the player.
Nice course. In good shape. My first time playing here. Stay out of the long grass - it's nasty getting out. Greens run pretty true. Very little break no matter what you're seeing! I'll be back again.
Dinner with family , had a awesome smothered burrito , great service.
Beautiful course. Interesting holes. Reasonable rates. Only thing is they don't have enough signs for a course with three different sets of nine holes. It's a bit confusing.
Always have fun here. The staff is great, golf courses are green and fresh. Its an all around wonderful place to golf. Can never say a bad thing about this place for the last 10 years.
Nice course and great food.
Beautiful golf course. Was under construction on a few holes on the Canyon course, so some par would 5s became shirt par 3s.
3 great courses that are well maintained. Good spacing so you're not rushed, that is,if every one keeps the pace. There are marshals to help move long the pokey players. Well run course.
Played the canyon course, it was beautiful and had varying degrees of difficulty, some holes are wide open others require some good shot placements. Great course
Great course. Much better than I am! Folks who work there are wonderful and overall a good place to spend some time at.
Gets 5 stars because if the great golf lesson I got from Mike, one of their pros. Learned more in 15 minutes than I did in an hour at one of the fancy downtown shops. Thanks Mike. I'll be back.
Challenging and fun courses! Very well maintained.
Gotta love those many short par 4 holes!!! Here eagle eagle eagle...
Enjoyable course, haven't played in years but the Canyon course is still tough. Meadows course is still my favorite of the three as it's a little more forgiving.
I have been a fan of Fox Hollow Golf Course and the Den restaurant for well over ten years. I love the atmosphere, the friendly service and the food is great. Plus, you have four great golf courses in which to golf!
Awesome course, very challenging, watch out for the coyotes And the snakes.
Very fun visiting from slc played with my son and a very fun local named Andy
Had a great round!
I've played this course about 6 times this summer. Great staff, beautiful views and most of all, a challenging game of golf.
Great course, amazing view! Price is reasonable, watch the mornings, they'll mow where you're playing and have a hard time keeping it down but still nice
Tried getting out early to avoid back ups with an 8:06am tee time and the round still took 5 hrs. Only one group was backing folks up and they were finally approached on the 14th hole and were asked to move to the next, still a 5hr round. I cant imagine how the afternoon tee times were impacted. If you don't like waiting 20min between shots, I'd recommend another course...
It's a very nice setting. Their mother's day brunch was nice. Fun staff and good but pricey food. It's a club house though so to be expected.
Nice course love being next to the mountains. Beautiful views throughout the 3 courses.
Great place to land a plane!! Would give it more stars if I could!
Always a good time and we'll kept. Canyon and Meadow are my favorite 9's, although Links is also a good 9.
Not interested in golf, but the restaurant's pretty good. Pretty scenery and a nice diversion. "Fore!" - or whatever it is those golfer types say :)
One of my favorite golf courses. Staff is super friendly and the course is well-kept.
Great course. A lot of character while still being a really playable course for all skill levels.
Sometimes I'm so good on the range I want to quit my job and join the tour. My wife hates talking me off these ledges once a week.
I love this place! I am super new to golf, so i go here to practice my driving and my chipping! Love it!!
Great area for recreation and golf! One 18 hole course, the Homestead, which is a challenging executive style. Fox hollow, 3, 9 hole, regulation courses.
Greens are in horrible shape. Don’t charge full price when your greens were just aerated.
Biked though the course, but never played it!! Always a bunch of us old farts in the clubhouse!! Stop to refuel from riding from Littleton,Co.
They are in the middle of some major renovation to the course. We played behind some awfully slowly foursomes and had to leave after 13 holes
Greens a little slow. Maybe keep vacuum off while people
Best course in the area! Challenging, well manicured, fantastic views everywhere. Great facility and staff. Can't be beat!
The plastic sleeves they put to line the cups is not USGA regulation and can effect your play. These serve no practical purpose. Please look into another alternative or just remove them entirely.
27 holes(3 nines) All different. Good service reasonable green fees. Favorite course on the West side of Town.
Driving range was great to help me improve my swing and game. Went there twice and would recommend this location.
Love the ambience food and views
Links/Meadows is the preferred 18. Good design and conditions. Nice clubhouse and staff.
Great job on a big event...
My good friend Brian Conboy got an ace on #6 Canyon Course so on overall great time...Bear Hug men's league...
Great 27 hole course for the money and the food is very underrated.
The course is phenomenal, some of the clubhouse staff are helpful and nice and some of them grumpy and not interested in being helpful.
Very nice 27 hole layout. Prime season rates are a little pricey, but offseason rates are hard to beat.
Super easy course. Greens roll smooth. Tee boxes are very well maintained. Just kidding about the easy part.
3 courses. Choose 2 for 18 holes. The Canyon is the course signature hole and my favorite 9
With 27 holes they can keep pace of play up. Well maintained and challenging for all skill levels.
When you are in Colorado this is a must play if you're serious about golf. All facilities are excellent and the staff is great.
What a lovely setting and great food and drink. We'll return and hope you try it. You'll be pleased!
Great course! Nice club house, driving range and chipping, putting area
Great place to play , great prices . All around beautiful golf course.
I love Fox Hollow. The course is pretty open and scenic. The greens are slow but fair.
Absolutely a great course! If you have a chance and a box of kleenex for the tears play it!😆 …
Good course. Can be tough so beginners beware. Price is a little high for a city course but this is one of the better ones.
Well maintained. Pleasant staff. Fun to play.
Beautiful golf course. Nice club house and bar area. Good value overall.
Play here often . course is always in great shape . gets busy often but doesn't usually get backed up fun course
I didn't golf but the clubhouse food is always yummy! My husband likes golfing here tho.
Nice course, great club house
Nice goulfcours and I like The Den
One of the best public city courses!
Like the fact that they have 3 9 hole courses and not 18. Beautiful scenery.
A beautiful course and great clubhouse, too!
I won my annual family golf tournament, so this place is the best!
Had a great time playing the Meadows and Canyon. Weather was great. A little slow play at the beginning but picked up later.
Very good food in a very beautiful environment. There's nothing super-special that would drive you here, but a great place to meet for breakfast or lunch.
Will definitely be back I played the canyon and meadows which meadows seemed pretty mellow and canyon was a lot of fun. I'll be back to try the links course.
Always good golf and the restaurant afterwards is good. Servers there are on top of it.
The course is great, and the staff has always been very friendly.
The best golf course in Colorado! The course is always in great shape, the staff is so friendly and the food is amazing!
The Den has great service and food, really really good. And I can run the cart paths when the course is closed.
Pace of play is slow even for a public course, but the course is in good shape.
Amazing golf course. The 11th green after dark is a great place to 😉 …
Beautiful Golf Course and Pro shop. Challenging Links, Meadows, and Canyon courses. Good food reasonable priced
Amazing course to play with many different challenges within each course. Course is in excellent condition.
Beautiful views, challenging layout. Loved it
Play here all the time. Rates are low for the quality the course offers every time we play. Highly recommended
Perfect place to ride on the way to Morrison.
Beautiful course, generous large fairways, excellent greens
Great tracks. 27 hole layout. One of the best public courses for the money...
Great course. Just challenging enough. Would come here again.
Hard to rate because of bad weather. Meal was OK, but sidewalks were not shoveled, so hard to walk to and from car.
Everything was great. Links is a little exposed if it's windy. Canyon is challenging and beautiful.
Course in excellent condition. Several holes require you to lay up which i don't enjoy
Food is good and staff is friendly. I've only played here a few times but it has a variety of landscapes and challenging terrain
Very enjoyable but to change extra on a Thursday because it is a holiday is a rip off. Won't be playing here on the weekends or a holiday again.
Course in good shape check in easy and quick staff friendly. Big negative cart paths only
Awesome course ,I love to walk the meadows 9 hole course. All 3 courses are great
Love that there are 3 separate 9 hole courses. Each are in excellent condition.
