Reviews of Brent Hambrick Memorial Disc Golf Course
This course is very well maintained. I didn't see a single beer can on the whole course.
The play was good, but not particularly challenging. Par is generous on most holes. Nice mix of open shots and woods.
Nice course, but very busy. I tried to play, but there were many groups of 5-10 players and had to wait. Would like to come back sometime when it’s not so busy and try again
This was a great disc golf course. Short tees were not too challenging but offered a great variety of shots. Shot a 63 on the 18 holes course. There are additional holes that add to the experience. Only downside is it was really busy when we were there.
A challenging 18 or 27 hole course. The front 9 holes are open and can be very difficult if there is wind. The back 9 holes are deep in the woods and technical. These are also an additional alternative 9 hole course that are not numbered but have letters instead. Every hole has a short and long tee off.
Really excellent disc golf course. The course and surrounding park are beautiful. The holes are varied and fun to play - definitely one of the best around.
I took my 8 year old son out this morning here. I've never been before. This place is really great with the dam right there and all the trails around and its a good family atmosphere. 27 holes total that have plenty of diversity and challenge for the pro or amateur. The whole feel is charming here in early September.
Amazing disc golf course. Definitely for higher level players. Holes are usually 300-400 ft from the tee. There was a pro tournament taking place the Saturday that I was there, and everyone was really friendly and let us slip in between teams that were playing. It is a lot of walking, but that's a good thing on a nice day. Some of the holes are out in the open and some of the holes are in thick forest, so you have to be able to play both. This will now probably be my regular course that I play.
Awesome lay out with a pro and amateur tee off at most holes. Wonderful scenery. As with most disk golf courses bring water and expect to be out for about 2 hours.
I love this course! Better than Blendon and Alum in my opinion. There are actually 27 holes here! About half are out in the open and half are in moderately dense woods. So you can go here and practice distance and finesse shots. I'm pretty sure all the baskets are Mach X's btw.
Great disc golf course on site. It has very technical and open shots to make for beginners, amateurs, and pros. Definitely play if you are in the area.
Fantastic park, the fairways are super well maintained and rotated regularly to keep it challenging. Long pads have some dicey routes through the back 9 and optional 27 holes for a nice long day of disc golf!
You are all pretty snazzy and I do have quite a ball participating in the physical activities. I am fuming that I lost my sunglasses on your course though. Prescription sunglasses. I want them back or financial compensation.
Great course with challenging holes in a beautiful setting by the Hoover Dam.
Best disc golf course in the area. Very challenging. Great mix of open front nine and technical wooded back nine
I have played this course many times because of its absolutely well placed baskets. They do a really good job of keeping the course clean and to be honest I haven’t played a better course! I would highly recommend!
Amazing place to play disc golf. Well kept, fun course. Great walk and you get a variety of challenges from open distance to forest holes. Great place to relax with quiet and outdoor forest smells and immersion.
Still a great course. There can be a lot of traffic because the park is multi use, but there are parking options near hole 1, 9, and the start of the 9 lettered holes. Up to 3 pin placements and almost all holes have 2 tees.
This course is challenging in a great way. 18 of the holes have a "pro" tee pad that's farther away. Additional pro holes, I like those the best, shorter but more technical. Of the Columbus courses, I come here the most.
Best in the area with multiple tees that are changed regularly. Be aware that udisc will not reflect course pars.
This is a great disc golf course. Easy to get to. Parking is plenty. They have a good mix of holes. With an A and B pin locations there is plenty of variety. Course is usually pretty clean. Everyone there is always pleasent. There is an 18 hole course and another small part 3 course. Both worth playing.
Outstanding course. 27 holes available. Mix of wide open fields and shady wooded areas. Bring your own water! No drinking fountains. Beautiful scenery. Well maintained. If you don't have a disk, or want some new ones, the BP station nearby sells disks at the corner of Central College and Sunbury Roads, and also water and snacks.
Oh! One more thing. Watch out for POISON IVY in the brushy parts under the trees
Also, no rest room
This is a champion disc golf course. There are long tees and short tees. Both have challenging holes. First nine are open and the back nine are in the woods. There's a additional nine that have both wooded holes and open. I never play these as the layout of the holes is not fluid. Overall one of the best courses around.
The course is currently open! Course maintenance is a little lacking from the couple months of neglect but definitely playable. Front 9 are nice and open which is a little bit more forgiving whereas the back 9 have some tighter fairways requiring controlled angles and distance. Didn't play the extra back 9.
Fantastic disc golf course, albeit usually decently busy especially on weekends. Non-disc golfers PLEASE stay off of the course itself. There are plenty of paths available for walking and hiking and none of us want to hit you around a blind corner.
One of my favorite disc golf courses, fairly well kept, good mix of long and short, most holes are fairly challenging but not impossible to beat par playing by the course signs...I dont play the pro pads, but a lot of holes have them if you are up for the challenge!
Great course! Lots of good holes, challenging shots, two tees for each hole, an optional extra nine holes on the back end of the course, and the park is pretty and peaceful. Only down side is that it's a bit confusing to find the correct next hole sometimes.
The disc golf course here is great. I like that the layout changes and you can tell it is well maintained. There are 18 holes plus 9 more lettered holes near the Cubbage Road entrance. The lettered holes in the woods make you wonder "why are trees". One thing I would add is signs for people with dogs, mentioning that there are flying discs in the area and enforcing the use of dog leashes. The last thing I want is someones dog damaging my $12-$30 disc for it to never fly correctly again, I get enough of that from the trees. Overall, I love this course and it's a great place to go with tje family. Disc golf is fun for all ages.
I absolutely love/hate this course for its wide open course for half the game and then a nicely wooded area for the second half. Very low pars keep you on your toes and its very close to the dam for a nice scenjc view. Only downside is hole 2 which faces straight toward the dam, with the basket being maybe 100ft from the ledge, i have lost many a disc this way, but still one of my favorite courses.
Great views challenging but fun course. No water hazards so hard to lose a disk. Fields and a nature walk through the woods. A Saturday morning ritual. Well maintained.
Finally played all 27 holes there. Beautiful day. Great course with challenging holes in the woods and bomber holes in the open.
Great course. Challenging and diverse. And there are 9 lettered holes so you can do 27 altogether.
If it's a windy day, try Blendon Woods just down the road for a bit of sheltered tossing.
Brent Hambrick DGC is probably the best disc golf course in Columbus, all things considered. The 18 hole main layout is a great mix of open and wooded holes, with regular & long tees. Several baskets are on cool hillside platforms, and the flow from hole to hole is great. There are also 9 additional challenging lettered holes, that also have regular and long tees. Layout works to play 27 or any selection. It is no wonder that the BHMO is such a popular tournament, at this fantastic course.
One of the best courses. We drove here from Dayton solely to play this course.
It's pretty and nice holes. Little hard to find the next hole if you are new.
Great 27 hole course (an 18 and a 9 hole) the 3rd hole isn't their currently for new grass being planted. Front 9 is mostly wide open and long leaving the back 9 in the woods with some difficult tight turns, especially from pro tees.
One of the top courses in the area. 27 holes of challenging fun.
Well maintained course with 18 main holes and 9 additional. Pro and amateur tees with multiple possible pin positions. No fee to play which is always nice.
Fun place for walking and site seeing. Also freebie golf
This course is rather tough, so be prepared to for the challenge. I usually only play the front 9 here because I have lost disks on the back 9. The back 9 is mostly the woods except for hole 18 which is a very long hole.
Super fun disc golf course, long drives, dog friendly! Takes between an hour and an hour and a half with a small group.
Great course. One of the more advanced courses in the area. Playing a full 27 holes will wear you out! (In a good way)
Best course near 270. 27 holes. Mix of wooded and open. Mach X baskets.
Good course lost of mixed holes. Some long distance open shots some shot rang tunnels and everything in between. Good upkeep and I have never seen it crowded.
A fun course, but it felt like it was lacking something. Seems like the middle could get extremely crowded if a lot of people were playing due to the way you wind through the open field.
Excellent set up. Tees are concrete. Plenty of info about every hole. A little difficult to get around if you haven't played there.
Pretty friendly course for beginners. Difficult to lose a disc and has short fees for most holes. Rightyfa
Not a bad place to disc golf, but sometimes it gets way to crowded with rude wanna be pro's... always in a hurry, ir will try to run past you while you've been waiting to play... get there when they open for best experience!
It was strange playing the course with the baskets in most of the A positions. Most times I've gone they've been in B. Course was looking good.
Great course, front 9 is heavily wooded, back 9 opens up a bit more. Beware, plenty of disc eating holes!
I commonly park on this side of the dam if i'm going to for a walk to taking photos around here. Easy access right on top for great panoramic shots of the reservoir.
Professional level course with 24 holes. A good mix of wooded and open holes, with the perfect amount of challenge.
Great course designed more towards the experienced player.. It is easily the best course around the Columbus area along with Simsbury.
Amazing course! A lot of fun and challenging holes with great scenery!
My family and i have been coming for 20 years. The best disc golf course in central ohio
One of the best disc golf courses in central Ohio !
Pretty nice course. The front 9 are basic but the back nine are fun.
One of the best courses in Central Ohio.
Always fun, swimming, hiking, running, disc golf and much more. Great family fun and pet friendly as well.
Great 27 holes. Busy but not too busy.
This is my favorite in Columbus. 27 holes that vary considerably.
Not the best course in my opinion. Others may really like it though
Didnt really visit, passed by as I walked my path at Hoover Dam. It's beautiful.
One of the best kept, and challenging courses in Central ohio
Great disc golf course with pins in and out of the woods
A nice if of wooded and open holes, multiple tea boxes and.pin placement.choices.
A very good time spent watching and playing disc. Had good time walking around and had picnic
Great time golfing in this probably last day in the high 80s for 2018.
Great course and very scenic. Some shade, some open.
Special course wide open spaces and long wooded areas!
My favorite course of all time (since 1980). God bless Brent Hambrick...
