I wish we could give Spring Valley even more stars!!! We had our wedding and reception here November 12, 2022, and the staff made every detail above and beyond what we could have hoped – especially for the pricing! The full venue (which includes an ample ballroom dance floor), set up and take down for both the ceremony and reception (including all chairs, tables, and decorations), food (including hors d’oeurves and desserts), and beverages (we did an open bar) were all included for the best price in town by far. The venue host, Katie, surprised me with a bottle of champagne, orange juice, and congratulatory card in the bridal room. Katie added additional decoration everywhere until the whole facility sparkled - golden plate chargers, LED birch trees, LED table decorations, napkins in our wedding colors, and fairy light chiffon drapes lit behind the head table adorned with a table cloth that matched the frosting design on our wedding cake! This was all provided as a lovely surprise (with permission on design) at no cost!! Each space in each room - ceremony, bridal, buffet, cocktail area, and ballroom with guest tables - was made beautiful. The team of folks setting up the room early in the day was extremely pleasant, helpful, and professional. We were allowed to take photos outside with the sprawling golf course hills, ponds, and foliage as a grand backdrop. They allowed us to bring in items for storage (including refrigerator space!) and rehearse the night before and even offered for us to leave items after the wedding to pick up later if we wanted. We had heard horror stories of family members blind-sided by unexpected set-up and take-down needs at events at other venues in years past, so we were extremely grateful to Spring Valley's graciousness with respect to using their space. The chef got rave reviews from every guest, especially on the brisket and dessert pies. Many of our guests asked if they could order pies in the future from the venue upon request because they were the best they had ever had! He also deliciously executed a special request we had to create a “French Fry Bar” which was a huge hit. The bar tender was delightful and spent extra time entertaining guests, and even helped us carry out boxes from our gift table at the end of the night. Thank you to Spring Valley for celebrating with us and making our wedding day beyond special.

Expectations were HIGH...course conditions disappointed...lots of rain so far this year has really hurt many area courses. SVCC got beat up too. Lots of Poanua grass all over the course. Quite surprised as the guest rate was STEEP at $61. on a Saturday especially considering conditions. However, the course is unique & challenging. Love the larger, undulating greens which were the best part of the course & rolled quite well & were nice & quick... Amenities & hospitality are top notch. Great staff👍

I had the honor of providing music for Mister John D. Monroe's 80th birthday party. It was a wonderful experience. The venue was perfect. For a birthday party. Facility is clean, staff is friendly. , plenty of parking and great food. I highly recommend Spring Valley Country Club.

One of the meeting rooms was reserved for a meeting I was attending, so I didn't use the Country Club per se. The meeting room was definitely showing its age (was built in the 1970's) and the light appetizers which should have been served warm were cold, and I am talking about grilled veggies served much cooler than room temp. I don't know if the CC planned the food selection, which was an odd combination, so I didn't consider that for the purposes of this review.

After searching high and low for a reception venue in the area, we finally decided to check out the Country Club at the advisement of my mother. Though I had come across the venue's website before, I dismissed them under the assumption that a membership was needed. I'm so glad that I was wrong! We scheduled some time with Rhonda, the club's manager, to come down and check them out. When we arrived to our meeting, we were impressed. From my experience, country clubs tend to be old with little upkeep, but this was not the case. They still maintained a regal feel with great upkeep and maintenance. After learning about the special that they were running with a price that was pions compared to other quotes, we were sold. We immediately asked Rhonda to hold the date, and after making sure that we got the date with the church, we booked. Over the course of the year, I contacted Rhonda very frequently. Each time, she responded promptly and with patience. Though we were bringing our own decor, the club provides linens, flatware, chiavari chairs, tables, cake cutting set, a built in dance floor, and just about everything else that you'd have to rent or bring on your own somewhere else. The only stipulation is that you have to use their in house catering, which wasn't a problem for us. By the time March had arrived, we had already met several times and decided on the layout for the tables and decor. We were able to work with her team to set up days prior-- we had lots of decor-- and they helped tear down quickly after the reception. Both Rhonda and her team members were friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. I can't brag on their service enough! They were just wonderful. Prior to the wedding, we had a food tasting. We sent Rhonda a list of items that we were interested in and the chef, Lois, prepared them for use to eat. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was amazing. We could have chosen anything and not have gone wrong. Our guests raved about the food and we did too. Even the Caesar salad got compliments. The food was reasonably priced and, again, significantly less inexpensive than the other venues that we received quotes from. The venue was a beautiful backdrop to our simple, yet elegant wedding theme. There is ample natural lighting that I'm sure our photographers appreciated. Our guests were even able to go out unto the patio during our pre-reception hour. From the pictures that I was able to snag from guests, the presentation of the hor d'oeuvres was also very elegant and (obviously) photo worthy. We were more than pleased with our experience with the club and the staff. Though I'll probably never have another event of this stature, if I were, I would definitely use their services again.
