Excellent golf course for the price. Poor staffs especially on the counter. There is a skinny white hair old man always arguing or fighting with customer. One big young guy always rude to customer( why do you throw cart key, membership card, credit card at customer. Let me teach you the manner(you give back above objects to customer with two hands) dont throw it down to customer. Besides the staffs ugly behaviors, everthing is good

Course was green, unlike a few of the other Bergen County courses. Nice layout. Be careful on the first and tenth holes as they adjoin and errant golf balls are flying around.

Give this place a year or two if Bergen County invests in it and it will be a beautiful course. Right now water doesn't drain well from several holes and most of the rough is just weeds. It's still a fun course and has a pretty layout although only two holes with water.

Very technical track and beautifully designed.. can't fight mother nature but definitely could do better with leaves and not rush people off at 515.. told the ranger we were just going to play the 14th since it was into the clubhouse and he told me you won't finish it by the time and I would have to go back to get my license the next day... but other that that . Very good track

Even though some halls are under construction, I like to give 4 stars because young man on the desk and old gentleman as a starter were very friendly. before pandemic, this course does not have good reputation regarding kindness of staffs.

Like the other Bergen County munis as the moment, tees are a bit rough, fairways were solid and greens were immaculate. Got done in 4 hours exactly so solid pace of play. On a 95 degree day, desperately need beverage cart out there, nothing all day.

the rentable hall is very nice and cozy. the service is decent, the waitstaff is okay or regular. can byo catering service. can decorate each table your way. very customizable for its purpose of seating large amount of ppl .. less than 75 ppl maybe. its great

Just played this course (6/7/19). The course is in much better shape this year. The greens are in great condition and were the fastest I’ve seen from a Bergen county course over the last few years. The drainage issues from last year appears to have been fixed but some rough spots in the fairways still exist. I am personally not a fan of the layout. The first three holes on each nine play very similarly and all the par 3’s play to similar yardages. Nonetheless, the course is a fantastic value if you’re a county resident.

Today I unfortunately noticed that I dropped my smartphone during the round. I had to go back to the club house, car and driving range to find it. Fortunately I got it. After that Tony, an employee at the start point, kindly drove me to where my friends are. Thank you Tony. Soldier Hill is the best.

Nice course with good condition even in the fall. Couple of holes had the distance boards at the tees missing. A couple of staff were grumpy and rude as well. Without these, a 5 star would be easy.

I am a weekend golfer. I play at the Emerson Golf Course more than several times a year.The Course has been improved so much from last year especially the condition of the greens. The course is conveniently located and easy to get tee time at the most of the time. I have no problem with staffs. They are prompt and kinds. I like to strongly recommend to play here.

Very nice course. In good shape. Got to course early, wanted something to eat. Was treated very well even though I was there before opening time. Would definitely go back even just for the food!!

Long, challenging course. Greens in great condition but coirse can get crowded especially in weekends. Still one of my favorites with the variety of layouts.

Played on a weekday morning for $50 incl cart via Golfnow. Course is decent with lots of bunkers some dog leg holes and pretty long. Greens were fast even with some rain. Overall a nice experience though I was there on a Thur with not too many other players. Threesome finished in just under 4 hrs. A negative is some holes dont seem to drain well with wet grass or pool of water at rough areas near greens. Did not affect play much though.

I play there often and never have a problem. The fairways are wide open but the challenge is in the distance. The staff, including the rangers, are always friendly and accomodating. It is not the cheapest course to play at but I rarely have to wait. My average round is just under 4 hours. I have played other courses and had to wait much longer. To me, convenience and not having to wait are worth a few extra dollars.

Great course. Pretty flat and long. Once in a while you get a grumpy employee - se la vie. Occasionally, if playing as a single, they'll put you out in random holes w random people, but that's life. Doesn't mean you won't get your 18 in. 4 stars!

The course is in the best shape ever... Since the County bought it from Emerson Country Club it has been getting better and better. The greens are in phenomenal shape. Keep up the Great work.

Lost my phone on the 6th hole. The front staff and ranger John went out of there way to track my phone and drive me to it. While I didn’t get to play the round, I am glad the staff help me find it. Thank you!

Long and flat. Like Overpeck but less water hazards. Front is tight, back is a little more open. 16 and 17 are interesting but they are the water holes.
