Good place to golf in northern Lake County. For a public course it’s extremely well maintained. The layout of the course is good. Challenging, interesting design, but not overly difficult for weekend golfers. And for a Lake County course it’s a very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely continue to golf there.

One of my favorite golf courses in the area and I have been coming here for around 15 years. There is 36 holes and each course presents a challenge of its own. Prairie is more wide open vs Tradition that is more narrow. I really like both courses and I try to change it up each time I go. There is also two huge putting greens to practice on, a chipping green and a driving range. Countryside has it all and it’s a great place to golf.

Everyone there is truly outstanding I ask for a hot dog before they opened and the gentleman got there early and made 2 hot dogs for me everyone in the clubhouse was great I won today against my buddy so that was even better it's just a great course I love it everyone did a great job

Value course. Surprising elevation changes and good greens. Short course (6300) from Blacks but better than any mini course and similar or cheaper in greens fees

The staff was very nice, and the course was in good shape. Very enjoyable experience. Price was very good. Would definitely recommend to players of all abilities. I haven't golfed here in years, and I can't figure out why.

Haven't been here in forever! Played Traditional course. Wonderful experience except for a way too cranky ranger who got PO'd at us for accidently taking a wrong turn after home 10, thus playing the wrong hole. What is it with golf course rangers and their inability to be nice?

I played here 10 days ago, on a golf trip with a couple of fraternity brothers. We had the pleasure of playing both courses and they were both in excellent shape and we had a lot of fun. The next morning, I realized that I had left my rangefinder on one of the carts. I called the next day after I had arrived back in Tampa where I live. I spoke with a gentleman named David at the club and told him about me leaving the rangefinder and he had told me they had it. I left him with my address and I received it today! I can’t thank David and the club enough for being a standup organization! If the two courses aren’t enough to want you to play there, I hope my story will. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Played the Prairie course for the first time and really enjoyed it. Pace could have been better but it was a weekend and ranger was actively monitoring and trying to keep things moving. Course and greens in good shape despite the dry summer. Will definitely return for more rounds.

I played Prairie earlier this season, Traditional yesterday. The staff has been friendly and accommodating. Both courses are well maintained and reasonably priced. The pace of play yesterday was a bit slow (but it was in the 80s on Father's Day). Looking forward to future rounds at Countryside.

Countryside Golf Club is a Lake County owned public golf facility with two golf courses and a driving range. Both courses have watered Fairways and greens which are very well-maintained and manicured. The greens fees are relatively inexpensive considering the Country Club type quality of the entire facility. I thoroughly enjoyed my first golfing experience at Countryside and look forward to play there again

Played the Prairie Course. The course itself was in great shape.... especially the greens. The lady who is the starter is a character, and quite good at her job. At $46 for 18 and a cart, the course was a great value.

Had a golf outing via the American legion of lake Zurich. 54° but nice n sunny outside. We all had a great time! We all enjoyed the course and be careful of the tall grass,lol, it will eat up your golf balls!

Its a great course and the people are very nice and personable. We weren't able to finish 18 or even 9, for that matter due to the weather but the people that worked there, walked me thru the process of getting a raincheck. Definitely recommend!!

I've been golfing here for 30+ years and I can't say enough good things about the course. Not super hard, not super easy for a 19 handicap like myself. I loved it even more when I was younger and a 13 handicap but the courses are always in great shape.

I like to say of Countryside - Prairie: "best golf for the money." The course is laid out modern style with very nice greens and plenty of fairway space. And the greens/tee boxes aren't on top of each other. The course is well-maintained. The rangers are reasonable and the management responsive if one of them needs a talking to (which I did a month ago and was impressed with the swift management response). There are other impressive courses in the area (e.g., Steeplechase, Stonewall, Pine Meadow), but they'll run you about double to triple the price of the Prairie.

Great public county course with two 18 hole courses. We played the prairie course, which is a links course with plenty of undulation through its fairways. The greens were deceptively flat when we played, looking like lots of side movement, but it was anything but. Multiple holes where getting aggressive can reward you, but if you don't hit it perfect you will be punished.

No wow factor in design or layout but conditions of tee box, fairways and greens were pristine and quite simply 5 stars. We played the Prarie Course Good value. We ll be back

Nice links layout. The Prairie course doesn't go near the clubhouse at the turn, so eat good beforehand or sneak some snacks in your bag.

Let me tell you my experience...me and my son went golfing and he is just learning and they were able to give us a tee time so no one was rideing out behind..the course was in good shape and the worker's are so nice.thanks countryside for make my day with my son specel

Good old fashion golf course with no houses or townhouses on the property but only nature but a little to pricey for you blue collar workers.

Good course close to home, only complaint is front office usually had no idea what's going on from a tee time perspective. They don't know how to manage slots and letting people go off the back 9.... Always an issue

This place had great cross-country skiing in the winter, and a ski rental place as well. It's a good place for a fun afternoon in the winter or summer! The mini golf course is fun.

Well priced golf but no beverage carts. I've been here six times on the Prairie Course and to no avail, no bev cart. Just bring your own beer...

Another great course in illinois. For years I have been meeting several buddies every other saturday at different courses throughout chicago mainl but after playing them all, we eventually find yourself venturing off, if you like long nice often tees than you will love this place. Great staff, friendly prices all around good course. Worth the drive for 5 chicago guys.

Two nice courses. Prairie course is nicer, but no concessions after 9th hole. Traditional course is not quite as nice, but costs the same.

The Prairie course is a nice open course that can be very forgiving. The course can be challenging with shot selecting at times, but is not very difficult because of the openness.
