Beautiful location just west of Bolton Valley area, dont let the driveway disway you from from heading up. This can be a challenging course with a lot of elevation changes and dog legs leading to a lot of blind of shots, the back nine is much more open and flatter though relatively long. The views are gorgeous of the surrounding Green Mountains and staff is very friendly and helpful. As it was my first time golfing I was given a free greens book to use I the round (the yardage in it is a bit outdated, but the tips and layout are useful). Price is also a good deal after 3 on Saturday it was $74 for two people with a cart for 18 holes. Would recommend this course to anyone in the area looking for a challenging course with some beautiful views.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two rounds while visiting Smuggs. Course is more challenging than its rating as there are many blind shots and doglegs, especially the front nine. Greens in great shape and fast. Amazing mountain views. Staff is exceedingly nice and friendly.

Beautiful golf course in Nashville, VT. I had to take some back roads to get there and totally worth the ride. I was at a wedding that was hosted here in a tent right outside of the main building. The staff is very pleasant & attentive.

Played/walked a round of golf here today. The weather was near perfect, the course was in great shape and presents some unique challenges over the rolling terrain. Some fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Great fun with friendly group of people and good food & beverages on the clubhouse patio overlooking the course and surrounding after 18 holes. Great day!

West Bolton is one of the most beautiful courses in Vermont. Don't let its beauty fool you...it is a challenging course and you can't say enough about the friendly atmosphere. The staff and members are very welcoming. Its greens are well cared for, though the traps could use a little more sand...just gives you another reason to avoid them. It has a nice grill for that "19th hole". Grab a beer, or some food and let the memories role. Prices are reasonable, just wish they had a driving range. If your in the area....check it out, you won't be disappointed.

A hidden gem! Course plays great, greens are in phenomenal shape! Good pace of play. Green scenery in the summer and especially in the fall. The owners have a great sense of humor and will even help bring your beers to your cart when u order 2 many! Play west Bolton!

A gem of a golf course hidden in the woods. We golfed on a Sunday and we're not rushed. The first nine holes have elevation and blind holes, which make the golfing interesting! We enjoyed a tasty sandwich and drink and proceeded to the back nine. These holes were flatter with more rock and tree hazards than water hazards in dry middle of August. Pretty views of the VT mountains in the back nine. Highly recommend a push cart if you walk - it's about 16,000 steps for 18 holes. Finally, it's a great price.

We had a great time. The greens were in good shape but some of the fairways needed water. We were not rushed. The clubhouse had a luncheon special was nice. Will go back.

Great times! The views are astounding, reminding me of why I live in Vermont. And while we weren't allowed inside, food & drinks were available on the patio. Bring a mask if you plan on using the bathroom.

Only thing better than the course are they people who play there! I’ve been a member since I moved to VT and wouldn’t have it any other way. Say goodbye to 5 hour rounds and get done in 3 here most days.

It's always great at W.Bolton . The course gets better every year. The hospitality is welcoming and it's a great spot to spend 4 hours. They do a great job ! Fantastic !!
