This is a fun and challenging course for all ability levels. The greens are well maintained and the views of the valley are exceptional.

Very recently golfed there and it was fabulous. You're on and around a mountain. They do an excellent job prepping this course for play. A quick bite and beer at Hogan's Pub is a must.

Pretty expensive for non-members but the course is in great shape. The ranger basically followed our group the entire front 9, mostly from afar. Felt a bit like big brother watching over us considering we weren't members. He was friendly but made the experience much less enjoyable.

Beautiful location and the course is in great shape. Tough to get a flat lie.

Leaving my first ever google review because I left this course a little frustrated. Place is beautiful and layout is fun and unique. Only issue is $125 per person is pretty steep for a course with a few beat up fairways and a beverage cart guy that doesn't drive around the course (he just sat in his cart for the entire round in the same spot on the back 9). Had a great time but for $125 you have to expect a well-manicured course and great service.

First time at Sugarbush Golf Club and it was a good experience. You won't find friendlier or more helpful staff anywhere. And the scenery is gorgeous. The golf was fun and challenging in just the right ratio. Grounds were in excellent shape and the greens were immaculate. Recent downpours had made some areas a bit soggy. We had a great time and will go again.

Sugarbush is a golfers delight. The vista's, the designs of the holes, their length and the serenity that comes from being in the mountains and in the green of Vermont. Flat lies do not exist and blind shots are part of the test. After surviving the fairways, welcome to slick greens that make a normal put an easy 3 put.
A jewel in the mountains even if the course rating is an unheard of 150.

We had supper at the restaurant inside the clubhouse. The food was good and the prices were reasonable.

Sugarbush golf course was in very good condition for early season. The course is very challenging with interesting holes. There are a lot of elevation changes and uneven lies. Great views of 18 green from the deck.

Sugarbush Resort Golf Club, rated 3-1/2 stars, is home to a generally well-regarded golf course, which combines a good layout with several attractive holes and features. This tree-lined, moutain style course will test most facets of your game, and should provide a round with plenty of enjoyable golfing challenges. Worth visiting if you are in the area.

Staff were not very friendly at all, but the price isn't too bad. I personally don't like resort style course with lots of gimmicks and awkward holes, but some folks do. Almost half my shots were blind, so tough to play your first time - get a yardage book or try to get paired with a local. Ended up hitting 5-iron off most tees due to all the blind shots and severe doglegs.

Five stars for Sugarbush for giving us New Yorkers a good start to our ski season, while basically every other mountain in the northeast has been reporting less than ideal conditions! I tagged along last-minute with Miramar Ski Club for a weekend of skiing, and Sugarbush was our first stop. Since there wasn't too much open during our visit, I'll sum it up and say they had enough top-to-bottom runs to keep us busy for most of the day, with plenty of soft snow all around. Being my first visit to Sugarbush ever however, what REALLY made this mountain stand out was its staff.
Leading up to the trip, I was calling in for the latest on trail & grooming reports, base depths, and predictions for the weekend. Sheldon (guest services) and John (supervisor, lift operations) were extremely friendly and informative, providing me all the information they could as the weekend neared. Once we arrived, the friendly staff demeanor really kicked in. As we're taking our runs and walking around the base lodge area, just about every staffer walking by gave us a friendly head-nod or "hey" as they passed. Even the busboy cleaning up our breakfast had a smile on his face, wishing us a good day of skiing while he was tossing out our trash.
Coincidentally, I took a chair up with Colin (head of ski patrol) and we had a great conversation, ranging from his suggestions for my upcoming Utah and Colorado trips, to cool restaurants in town, to future happenings at Sugarbush. The entire mountain has a really "homey" feel to it, and you can tell there's a sense of community amongst both staff and visitors. There's a free shuttle serving local condos, and the town of Waitsfield. As we boarded, we bumped into yet another employee, Danny (snowboard instructor, with the dreadlocks!) who thoroughly seemed to enjoy his job, and just spending time out in the great outdoors in general.
Although I've never met him, my friend Phil knows the owner of Sugarbush (Win Smith) very well, and said that he's a "man of the people," often skiing the runs, flipping burgers on the grill, and manning the lift lines just to be visible and interact with the devote skiers and boarders who patronize his mountain - an owner who truly models the behavior that he expects from his excellent staff...
I look forward to returning deeper into the season and discovering all this mountain has to offer! Thanks for a great day Sugarbush!

I am typing this with only my left hand (even though I am right-handed) as I was lucky enough to break a collarbone skiing Sugarbush on Tuesday. I say "lucky" sincerely because if I had not had the now infamous "green circle wipeout" I might not have gotten to hang with David, Ed, Shannon, and the medical crew at Sugarbush. After my descent following the fall, David and Ed took care of me as we waited on ski patrol. Ed held my arm up and David poured me a little hot chocolate and coffee. The kindness and infectiously positive attitudes of these two really set the tone for an overall great experience. My ski patrol escort Shannon arrived quickly and was compassionate and extremely helpful. She put my arm in a sling and iced me like a champ. She even helped me walk to the medical clinic. Sacagawea can suck it, Shannon is where it’s at. I went into shock not long after she got me to medical, so I don’t remember any more names, but the crew at the medical facility was awesome as well. Overall, I’d give the experience a 10/10. If I was going to break another bone, I’d want it to be at Sugarbush.

Beautiful location to get lunch or drinks affording a wide view of the 18th hole, putting green, driving range and surrounding mountains. Grill features great burgers and sandwiches though a little on the spendy side. Service is very friendly and fast.
