Reviews of Smugglers' Notch Disc Golf Center
Absolutely stunning courses in the fall. Very well maintained, and a ton of layouts that accommodate pros and beginners alike. Great courses for mushroom spotting while walking through as well. Fox Run was a little confusing to follow on the first playthrough, but to my understanding is a much newer course than Brewster Ridge.
Also a very well stocked pro shop with friendly and very knowledge staff.
Disc golf Nirvana. Served in great doses! I was very impressed with Brewster, a tough but fair course. It lives up to the hype, no question! The staff was also fantastic, noone was trying to act overly cool about it, just relaxed and friendly. Good stuff, will be back! Also, support the shop! I got a nice new hat (it didn't help my score any).
What a good time! Friendly and helpful staff. Well mainted courses, interesting and challenging course, variable difficulty tee-boxes, well stocked Drink and snack bar. Very well run Pro-shop. Both courses offer beautiful views, and a great exercize. You need to set a tee-time before you play but this leads to the courses not getting clogged which allows for more playing for everyone!
I've played disc golf at over 50 courses across 8 different states and this course is in my top three all time favorite. I only played Fox Run Meadows but was very impressed. The challenging layout, the mowed fairways, manicured greens, excellent tee signs, and easy to follow layout. The staff at the fully stocked clubhouse are helpful and friendly and can set you up with all your disc golf needs and a local brew as well.
Beautiful course! The pro shop is extensive and they always have great deals! A discer's paradise.
I was expecting something spectacular and was not disappointed in the least. Played fox run twice and it just keeps getting better. Impressed with the staff and the course. If you have the chance to come and play do not hesitate and come play this course.
Had a wonderful afternoon playing disc golf love being in the woods. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
I am an intermediate player at best, but playing this course has been the greatest disc golf experience I have had so far. The six plus hour drive was well worth it!
The courses are well maintained, well marked and designed for any skill level to have a fun game. The scenic surroundings make it a great place to play.
I can't say enough about the staff, our trip was taking longer than we thought, and we let the staff know and they readjusted our tee time. The pro-shop is the best I have been to, well stocked with discs and snacks, the staff is knowledgeable about what they sell. Speaking of tee times, they kept the courses uncrowded and we never felt like we had other players breathing down our necks.
I will definitely be back, and bring my family who do not play DG as there is so much to do in the area!
Be sure to make lodging reservations ahead of your trip. There are plenty of places to stay towards Stowe, but during peak season weekends they may be booked up. We had to do some searching, but found a place 15 minutes from the course.
My second favorite course! Very well kept and marked. 4 different layouts gives everyone a place to challenge themselves
Two great courses. One mostly wooded and one more open. With the four sets of tees this place is perfect for families with beginners or seasoned disc golfers that can throw 400 feet.
Super cool to play on a course the pros do. Super well manicured. Had a great time even though I managed to fine a wasp or hornet's nest nest next to the red tee on I believe hole ten and got stung a few times but overall had a great time and the pro shop was super cool too so avoid that huge log in the tree line and you should have a great time too.
The best property for disc golf in my opinion. These two courses blend perfectly together, the tight wooded lines compared to the open field bombs are truly great. Then when you're done you can browse the pro shop, I'm guessing this pro shop will be amazing in another year or two. Right now they have a limited selection of innova and discraft.
Top notch disk golf in the woods of Vermont, located right next to Smugglers Notch. The course we played was nearly all wooded and quite challenging. They have multiple tees to accommodate all player experience levels. Each holes was well maintained and groomed. A big thumbs up!
As you would expect, two of the best courses I have ever played. Pro shop is extremely helpful. Excited for the new bigger pro shop!
New pro shop is open and epic! Great selection of discs and bags. Super helpful staff. They hold lost discs and call numbers. Great establishment. Constant grounds maintenance and a very clean course.
Amazing course and an incredible staff! This course is ideal for disc golfers of all skill levels and offers some really incredible scenery. The course layout is strategic, challenging and very well marked...a MUST PLAY course for any disc golfer passing through the area.
Fun technical course in a great location. I was really disappointed playing this past weekend because there were several holes under maintenance and not set up for playing. No one at the pro shop said a word while my group was purchasing tickets and there were no signs indicating 2 or 3 holes were completely unplayable. A little more is expected when you go to a nice location and pay, unfortunately Brewster Ridge did not meet my expectations. Perhaps advertise next time or ask staff to let players know?
Even in the rain, this course is gorgeous. Well maintained, and if you want to challenge yourself, play the gold tees. This is the site of some of the more major tournaments, including the 2018 World Championships. I'll definitely be back
I'm local to a couple courses, but hands down choose Brewster River DGC every time. It's the only one I've got a pass for and the only one worth it. Everything about this course, two courses including Fox Run, is amazing. Beginner? Pro? There is fun to be had. The staff does a great job with the links and the shop staff are some great people with an approachable attitude that makes you feel welcome. They are incredibly knowledgable about the sport and can get you hooked up with appropriate disks as they have an incredible inventory and again the knowledge to know what's what. I haven't met anyone yet who has said anything other than really positive things after playing a round and it's for a reason. Keep up the good work!
Smuggs does an excellent job with both of their course options. Fairways are well maintained, Tee's and baskets clearly marked and mapped, and the perfect mix of long and open or tight and technical shots throughout. The pro shop is competitively priced, staff is knowledgeable and instruction is offered (schedule ahead, $). I go back most weekends, may have to opt for a season pass next year because it's just that good.
Home to the 2018 PDGA World Championships, because the best should play on the best courses. Two incredible courses with mountain views and dynamic shots. Incredible tees and quality baskets. Brewster Ridge Disc Golf Course is one of the best in the world.
A professional, championship style course, it's a must play for any avid disc golfer visiting northern Vermont. The course is consistently well-maintained, and the fairways are mowed weekly. Their Pro Shop features one of the best disc selections in Vermont, featuring Innova, Discmania, Discraft, MVP/Axiom, Prodigy, Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, and Westside Discs. They also carry GRIP and Upper Park disc golf bags in many size and color options. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, superb course; what isn't to love about Brewster Ridge DGC?
World class disc golf. Amazing views of mountains in Vermont. Great staff. Make the trip it's worth it.
Great staff and two great courses! Play both to get a good mix of everything 😊 …
2 challenging courses that favor a right hand backhand dominant player. Multiple tees on every hole, which could be a lot cooler if the tee boxes were in better condition. Some tees were a bit dangerous. Signage needs updating.
Absolutely killer course. Not sure how Nate Doss tossed a -13 on it, but he did and so did MJ. I can't even hit par! Of course, I have a noodle arm and my breasts sometimes get in the way of my backhand. Wear tight-fitting sports bras and good shoes if you go.
The best course, a must do! Challenging wooded areas, some long shots, a wonderful mix with fun hiking. Pro shop guys are great and helpful!
Easily the best disc golf course in the region. Definitely come check it out! Also, the proshop has a great selection of discs.
Absolutely beautiful place to play disc golf! These two courses should be on any avid disc golfers bucket list.
Top 10 nationally . Great. We’re lucky . There should be more integration with zip lines and other adventure sideshows seen from fox run course
Two well maintained courses offer a variety of challenges. The pro-shop is well stocked and the staff are very helpful.
Best disc golf course in Northern Vermont. One of the top 3 in New England.
Beautiful place to play disc golf! I highly recommend it to anyone
A very nice disc golf course, has ranges for all players from starter to pro.
Played Brewster's Ridge today; lots of uphill walking. Vermont is the most beautiful...just lots of uphill.
This is one of the bet disc golf facilities in the world. It's a can't miss for players of all skill levels.
Best disc golf course in VT!
Beautiful courses with pretty backdrops
This is a well stocked clubhouse with cold food and beverages as well as a wide variety of discs and accessories.
Absolutely gorgeous!! 2 real disc golf courses side by side!
World class disc golf, breathtaking course especially during peak foliage
Great disc golf course!
I prefer the Brewster ridge course, but both are nice.
Great courses and beautiful views!
Best courses in the state!
Favorite disc golf course on the planet!
Great disc golf venue. Bring your family!
Absolutely one of New England’s premiere Disc Golf complex’s.
Absolutely Amazing course. Great Pro shop.
