True Spec Golf was an amazing experience. They have an amazing facility and the staff explain the process and have a great feedback loop to get tune in on the right club for me. I had a Iron and Wedges fitting session. During my session, I had two final options with a strong first that we discussed and selected the final option. Shout out to Cody for remind to fill out my pre-fitting survey. Tyler was a talented fitter and understood I like the understand the analytics relate to actual swing performance. It was fun working with him and Cody and I look forward to going back for Driver/Woods next, and maybe even Putter. Highly recommend them especially because they give you the specs allowing you the flexibility to purchase your clubs with them and their top notch warranties and guarantees, or elsewhere.

Longtime golfer but this is my first time going through a professional fitting. Tyler did a fantastic job identifying the clubs and shafts needed to improve my game. It was amazing to see the different results that different head/shaft combos produced. Best advice is to get fitted and go in with an open mind. The set of clubs that I thought I wanted to play just didn’t work for me but I could not be happier with the set I ended up with and the experience with Tyler.

This fitting with Cody was top notch! All of my needs were addressed in a brand agnostic approach. From start to finish it was a great experience. The full bag fitting is a lot of swings but there was always the option of coming back in at a later date for no additional charge which was awesome. If you’re looking to get fit this is easily one of the best locations in the Boston area!

I was fitted for a putter today. Wife bought me the fitting as a gift. Tyler was great. He got a baseline on my current putter, then had me try 7 different ones. For each, I rolled 6 putts. Then Tyler would walk me thru the data (like how open the face was) and his educated "eye-test" (his take on my swings). I look forward to springtime and trying the new putter we chose.

The equipment changes I’ll be making, per the fitting, will give me an extra club to a club and a half of distance. Also, I didn’t feel like they were pressuring me to buy anything either; this was an important factor for my experience.

My experience with True Spec Golf today was exceptional. Tyler was my club and shaft "engineer". After a brief warm up we looked at the numbers on my current driver as a baseline (later 3-wood and hybrid). I arrived with an open mind, but having played Titleist exclusively for over a decade I fully expected to walk out with an order for a new TSR3 to replace my TSi3. We started with the TSR3 and various shafts, then tested the TaylorMade Stealth and Calloway Rogue (not even on my radar). At the end of the fitting and working through a lot of options, I ended up with a Callaway Rogue Driver (Ventus Blue shaft), Callaway Rogue 3-Wood (Ventus Red shaft) and TaylorMade Stealth Hybrid (Ventus Blue shaft). There is no way I would have arrived at that point on my own or with a golf shop fitting (done both too many times). The numbers and feel don't lie and, for me, these were the best options based upon the data, look and feel. It is comforting to know I have that component of the game fine tuned even if the swing needs some additional work. Tyler was fantastic, very knowledgeable, patient, and I never felt rushed or pushed in a certain direction. I had plenty of time and information to make a decision based upon the fitting experience and recommendations. Thank you Tyler....everything exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend True Spec Golf - Boston. I will be returning to "engineer" the other items in my bag. Great experience at True Spec. Went in for a Woods fitting, and ended up with a Driver. I demo'd several combinations of shafts and heads of various degrees of loft (9-10.5). I learned a lot. And it was a really fun. Very relaxed. I enjoyed crunching the numbers and testing all different clubs. Highly recommended.

Got fitted this morning by Cody, and it was an excellent experience. We started with a quick discussion about my game and my preferences (I've never felt good looking down at a chunky topline.) Then i warmed up and we got started. After a tight baseline grouping from my Nike VR Pro split cavity, we tried a six iron from Srixon ZX7, Taylor Made p790, Titleist T100, Callaway Apex Pro, Mizuno Jpx921, Wilson Staff cb, and I think I'm forgetting one or two. I hit 8-10 with each club, we made a few tweaks to shaft and lie angle, and we worked with the averages. Actually, there were a couple sets where Cody and I agreed after just a couple shots to move on. It was pretty clear to both of us that the Srixon ZX7 was a clear winner. The Apex Pro was fairly close, and it was nearly ten yards longer, but the dispersion was worse, and it wasn't as forgiving on misfires off the toe (my 99% mis-hit.) It also didn't feel as good to me as the ZX7 on good or bad shots. The Mizuno performed very well, probably 3rd overall. The Titleist LOOKED the best when standing over the ball, but I didn't hit em very far. Back to Srixon at the end, and the decision was reinforced. We moved on to wedges, and like the Srixons, Cody started me off with the club that eventually became the easy choice, Cleveland RTX Full Face. We tried several others (Vokey, Jaws, Mizuno, a couple others) but they were all too spinny and didn't travel very far. Again, back to the Cleveland at the end, and it showed to be the clear choice. We started taking a look at driver, but at that point I'd probably taken around 200 swings, and the fatigue was clearly winning. We decided to put off fitting the top end of my bag for another day. We moved over to the putting surface and I drained a bunch with my aging but much loved Odyssey White Hot#7. I then tried a few other putters. The new Odyssey #7, a Scotty, and a couple Evenroll putters. Cody let me know that I will see slightly better putting with either of the Evenroll putters I tried and explained why, but also that the numbers of my odyssey are already excellent, and the putter is very suited for me. He said he'll put the info for both Evenroll putters in my file for the future, but agreed that I should do just fine if I keep the one I've got. The email with my reports was in my inbox about 10 minutes after I left the facility. One more interesting detail about the fitting session, Cody was able to immediately recognize my purest strikes by the sound. It was pretty cool. I would strongly recommend a full bag fitting with Cody if you're considering it.

Really appreciate the data driven, neutral bias approach. If I came away with one caveat on irons fitting, it's to make sure your old 6 iron loft is similar to the new one before you get too excited about the gain in distance. New 6 same loft as my old 4

This was my first fitting experience. I have had friends do fittings with True Spec competitors. I was a bit doubtful when initially scheduling the fitting. I was struggling with consistency on my driver and woods. We tried about 15 combinations of heads and shafts. Cale, Master fitter, was able to find the optimum combination for both the drive and 3W. I was able to pick up a consistent 10-15 yards and reduce my slice tendency with driver. My existing driver set up was all wrong ..... head loft and shaft (length & stiffness). We also looked at the other long clubs in my bag and was able to remove 2 clubs that were not providing benefit. Confirmed my existing 3H was perfectly fine and stayed in the bag. There was no hard push on a specific brand nor to buy. The stats and improvement from the fitting drove the decision to purchase. Cale .... thanks for the great fitting experience.

This was my first time getting fitted for clubs and I worked with Tanner. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about my game and swing. He was great working with me on different clubs and shifts. I wanted a full set and with his help we found it. I think this experience and with all clubs/shaft combination I will improve my game. My experience was exactly what I hoped for an more and would recommend True Spec to anyone looking to fine-tune their equipment at the highest of levels, while being agnostic to brand and make. My True Spec fitting was a first class experience. I try to play about 100 rounds a year, but had been playing mostly with clubs I bought second hand or off the rack that weren't exactly a good fit for my swing. I'm a 3 handicap, and along with lessons, I saw a fitting and custom clubs as the next step in my progression. Cale was a great guy and really helped me dial in my numbers with different haft/head combos and we saw an immediate difference. If you're looking for custom fit, top of the line golf clubs this is the place for you. I ended up with a new 3-wood with custom shaft, Titleist T100 irons with custom shafts, and 2 stock vokey wedges. Be prepared if you get something similar to what I did, it'll run you $3,000-$5,000 with a 3-5 week lead time. I'm sure it'll be worth every penny!

He spent 4.5 hours with me ensuring I left feeling confident in my club/shaft choices. I bought the entire set with True Spec and while perhaps a bit more expensive (mostly due to shaft choices), the confidence knowing I will be playing with the proper clubs and fit, is well worth the small $$ premium. And - despite supply chain issues and delays within the golf industry, my clubs arrived in one week! Highly recommend Tyler!

Had a full bag fitting at the Boston location. Was a bit hard to find at first but the facility was very professional in appearance. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable and professional. The 4.5 hours went fast (almost 250 swings) and afterwards I felt good about my fitting options. Tyler didn't push me to buy anything and even looked into saving some money by going through the manufacturer. However, I bought new irons and a 5 wood built by True Spec as I knew that I would receive clubs that would be as close to those hit in the bay. I was given a 3-4 week shipping time but was happily surprised to get my new clubs around 1 week after the fitting. Tyler sent me all the data and pricing info for future purchases and as well as for my own information. I've used club champion in the past but highly recommend Tyler and True Spec Golf!

Just finished up a full bag fitting with Tyler and I am very happy with the experience. I'm a low single digit handicap who plays a lot of competitive golf. I went into the fitting looking for ways to optimize my equipment and in general just make sure I'm getting the most out of my clubs. The quality of the fitting from start to finish was best in class. Tyler's knowledge of the equipment and ability to determine very quickly what was working and what wasn't was truly impressive. My biggest concern going into the fitting was the amount of swings required and the risk of feeling overloaded with data. Tyler negated both of those concerns by quickly moving on from a head/shaft if it wasn't working. The best part was I learned a ton about my game and found a number of ways to optimize my bag. Can't wait for my new clubs!

I had a fitting with Tyler. The fitting was incredible. I was able to test any club head and shaft I wanted and was able to find the set of clubs that was best for my game. They do a really good job of working within your budget while achieving the goals you’re looking for in a fitting. I personally was looking for a more Forgiving set of clubs and we were able to decide on the set that reduced my misses while adding distance and speed. I can’t recommend the experience enough to my fellow golfers.

For someone who had never been fitted for clubs, Nick is a true fountain of golfing knowledge. Incredible experience at True Spec. Tyler knows everything there is to know about all the products they have on hand and figured out my ideal set of irons easily. I gained 20+ yards from my old set and was hitting everything more cleanly than I ever have. After the fitting Tyler helped me figure out a new putter that wouldn’t break the bank and even sorted me out with a new driver shaft after mine broke on the course a week later. If you think you can figure out what set of clubs is best for you from shopping online think again and book an appointment at Truespec. Completely worth every penny, can’t recommend enough.

Excellent experience - I went in for a check up on my irons that are 5+ years old. Nick is extremely knowledgeable about the fitting process and most importantly explains things in layman's terms. Excellent technology, location and site. After spending 1.5hrs trying different head and shaft combinations we determined that my current irons are still a great fit for me. Nick is a true professional, has the best interests of his clients in mind and did not push product on me that I do not need right now. This quality builds trust and will help Nick and the Boston location build a loyal client base and drive sales over the long run. I will definitely be going back to Nick for club check ups and for when I need new equipment.

Had the pleasure of getting a full bag fitting with Tyler in March, and couldn't recommend his expertise, knowledge and easy going manner more. The iron fitting was thorough as we tried a half dozen heads with a variety of shafts to come out with a great fit in a set of P770's. I was on the fence about ordering a driver but the gains and consistency that we saw were hard to pass up. After Tyler e-mailed me the trackman data of the fitting, he was kind enough to answer a bunch of my questions via e-mail and I ended up ordering the club. Tyler must have been sick of getting e-mails before/during and after I received the driver, but he never showed it and answered all of my pending questions (along with a recheck of my specs in the studio) until we had the best fit in my hand. I hadn't bought clubs in 7-10 years and always figured my golf swing was the weak link, but Tyler showed me that there were definite gains to be had with consistency, height and distance that are only positives without getting a brand new golf game. In short, put some cash aside if you want to see gains in your game and go see Tyler. You won't regret it.

Had an great experience at True Spec, Nick is awesome. I am a 10-12 handicap and had never had a fitting before - it was like getting glasses for the first time. With a quick change of shaft flex and club head type, the heavy “draw” (hook) I always hit turned into a baby draw. Nick is personable, casual, and super knowledgeable about the in infinite questions I peppered him with. He also is great at translating the impressive tracking and simulator data into easy to understand terms. Would definitely recommend and go back.

I had a driver and woods fitting with Tyler. He was incredibly knowledgable and professional throughout first narrowing down the club head and then finding the right shaft for my swing speed and angle of attack. He did not rush through any part of the fitting and instead even went back to a couple of the items we tried early on to make absolutely sure I had the best fit. We did the same for my 3 wood and a hybrid. We found fits for each one of which fills a huge gap in the bag. I didn’t end up moving forward with one of the clubs and at no point in time felt like I was being pushed to purchase as I have in other similar occasions. This was an incredible experience and would strongly recommend to anyone looking to dial in any aspect of their club selection.

True Spec Boston was everything I heard and more! Nick was extremely professional and great to work with. Made me feel comfortable from the intro at 230pm until I left 3.5hrs later on a full bag fitting. The quality of the facility, the equipment, and the technology is all top notch! It may cost a little more than your standard retail fitting golf stores but you get what you pay for! My only issue is I live in New England and wont get to use my new Callaway Apex irons until the season kicks off in April 2021. Might need a quick flight to Florida to test these all out ASAP.

Nick took the time to explain why each data point mattered and how changes in club head and shaft truly impacted my distance and direction. It was a really a lot of fun! And I really recommend getting fit for clubs, especially for women. So much of the stock equipment made for women is for a true beginner. Go get fitted for the right sticks!

Great first-time fitting experience (irons and wedges). Nick was patient, knowledgeable, and super helpful overall. Explained some of the basic tenets governing ball flight, without overwhelming me with nuance. Took the time to understand my goals for the session (and budget) before we got started. Fitting itself was really streamlined. After a little warmup to get rid of some more nervous swings, we worked toward optimizing the shaft first, followed by clubhead. I was able to try out a pretty wide range of irons, pretty much everything I wanted. Wedge fitting went by much more quickly--in addition to identifying the right model, Nick helped me optimize lofts and sole/grind setup for my bag. Look forward to playing my new clubs. Highly recommend!

I spent 2 hours with Nick this afternoon - tremendous help. I came in with a specific plan where I wanted to add height, spin, and improve the descent angle on my irons, and we were able to get exactly what I was looking for. Nick also helped me understand bounce and grind in more detail for my wedges, as well as took a quick peak at my driver and with one quick fix was able to add upwards of 15 yards to my drive after only 3 swings. Highly recommend Nick for all your club fiitting needs.

Just had a full bag fitting with Nick. Totally satisfied. My Irons were just fine and so were my hybrids which he tweaked a bit to gain some yardage. The big gain was with a driver, which with a different brand and loft, and shaft I gained 15-20 yards and my ball speed had increased. We also gained on my 3 wood by re shafting it and using a different head. But what I really was blown away by , was the putter fitting. I could see why I was pushing and pulling. I went in for a Gap Testing as I had some big gaps in my bag I needed some advice on how to fill. The fitting area was very nice and hitting into the bays was fun. My fitter was knowledgeable, and was genuinely invested in trying to help me get the right solution for my game. Never tried to give me a sales pitch or up sell me on anything at all, and in fact ended up recommending some particular used clubs that would match my set the best. All in all I had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anything you need.

I have had fittings on demo days , but this was a complete fitting that had me hitting, ping,, Taylor made, and Titlelist or what ever head and shaft combination that best suited my swing. I checked the prices on line and although the prices were not bargain basement, they were competitive and I know they will stand by their recommendations. I don't get itwhat kind of a place is this? I walked into the True Spec studio, credit card at the ready and my wife having been warned of the looming expenditure. I'm an old, enthusiastic hacker who battles Father Time and injuries every time I'm on a course. I am armed with a used driver I bought off the internet without having hit a comparable model as well as used irons I purchased in the fall. Not ideal. So I walked in for a woods fitting, with an iron fitting to follow later. Nick put me through the paces with my driver, 5 wood, and a hybrid. AND ALL HE CHANGED WAS THE DRIVER SHAFT!!!!???? I've been fit before and in short, Nick did a great job. We tried a half-dozen shafts, agreed on the best alternative to my existing shaft, and then tried a couple more heads. The good news is that he really understands swings and the numbers that come out of the launch monitor. The better news is that he really does want what's best for the customer. So now I'm afraid he won't change my irons, and I'll have to find something else to use my credit card for.

I had a full bag club fitting yesterday with Tyler in the Waltham location. With no exaggeration, it was the most fun I have had in years. Tyler was both personable and professional throughout the whole 3.5 hours, and he was focused on the process the entire time. I truly felt listened to and taken care of as a customer...and that's not even the best part... I was laughing like a kid the whole time. At 42, I felt like I had done all the instruction and tweaking that I can, but my swing is my swing. I am also very short, and have only ever used clubs that I bought off the internet, and I have had the same set for 10 years. I knew it was time to get "my" set that I could use forever and compliment my game. Tyler asked some questions, studied my swing, and took me through the progressions of clubs. Without changing anything about my stance, swing, swing thoughts, nothing...he fit me with clubs that added 25 yards to my irons, and 40 yards to my driver. When I miss, I push it right, and while there are still plenty of those, the clubs he fitted for me make them way less violent and keep them in play. The only bummer is waiting for my new clubs to show up! I am expecting a minimum of 3-5 drop on my hdcp just from the clubs alone...and Tyler is truly invested in what happens, asking me to send him updates throughout the summer so that if anything is not as expected, we can tweak a little more. If you have been on the fence about this process and investment, I can honestly say that it is worth every minute and penny. The feeling of taking a shot with a club that is fitted for you and seeing the results is the coolest thing I have experienced in quite some time. The experience at True Spec was everything I'd hoped it would be. I even swung by a week early to meet Nick and he was more than accommodating; walking me through the ins and outs of the tech they use and their process. In addition to the experience, True Spec provides results. I play a lot of golf... some good, some not so good. But as a 5 hcp who likes to think he can move it off the tee, I didn't expect there to be substantial gains left on the table with the driver. Nick proved that assumption very wrong. The build we settled on averaged 11 yards of carry longer than the single best swing with my current M1 with a far tighter dispersion. Couldn't give a stronger recommendation!

Their fitting process is wonderful. I was fit for new irons and feel 1000% confident in the conclusion we came to. My missed shots are usually big sweeping draws/hooks and Nick was able to mitigate the issue by finding a shaft that worked perfectly for my swing. This is the only place I'll get fit from now on.

Excellent process of identifying which elements of the golf club best matched my swing by separating the club head from the shaft. It was amazing to me to see how the same club head could result in entirely different strike patterns just by making small changes in the shaft. Nick really knows his equipment and is interested in putting you in the right set -- even if it means not buying something new, such as making small adjustments to what you already own (he adjusted the loft in a wedge of mine to fill a yardage gap). My primary advice -- get your rest, don't play the same day (or even the day before), because you will be hitting a couple hundred balls and keep an open mind as the results will be right in front of you. Worth the visit.

I had been talking about getting fitted professionally for weeks to my wife, as I had scheduled my fitting for when we moved to MA from AK (finally) so the excitement had been building. This was my first time ever being fitted as well. When I arrived I had a big truck, in Boston area that doesn’t fit so well, and Nick happened to walk out front of the building and took an educated guess that I was his appointment. He guided me to a parking spot that would fit my truck and greeted me outside. This was my first sign that I was going to have a good experience. As we walked inside, Nick briefed me on what we were going to do, asked me my preferences and got to know a little bit about what I wanted out of the fitting, and he finished with “We are going to have fun today”. We started with a club as close to my current set as possible, (mine are currently boxed up in a barge somewhere on the way from AK) to see where I was at, and after only a few swings, Nick knew my shafts were not right for me. Over the next 20-30 minutes (I actually lost track of time I was having a blast), we narrowed my shaft down, after trying out about 5 different ones (apparently I’ve always needed XS on the lighter side). Next we tried out about 6 different clubs from the Mizunos that I had my eye on for the past few years, Titleist that surprisingly surprised me, and then the screw ball that I took one swing and was sold, Honma. Nick didn’t try to push anything, he let me hit anything and everything I wanted, and told me what he saw working for me based on the numbers. The driver fitting, wedges and putter were all the same. I walked into True Spec with a strong idea on what I wanted for clubs: Mizuno irons and Wedges, Titleist or Mizuno driver, and Evnroll putter....what I didn’t expect was that none of those were true. (I walked out with Honma irons, Taylormade wedges, Callaway driver and Betinardi putter) Nick helped me find the clubs that fit my swing, my eye, my feel and comfort. All while having just as much fun watching me smash a driver 330 and see my jaw drop and amazement as I turned to him and said “Oh my god”. This was an awesome experience, and I have been bragging to all of my friends and family ever since. Update!!! Recently went back here for my 3Wood and Hybrid. This time I had the pleasure of working with Tyler, and he was awesome. I think it’s safe to say we both enjoyed fitting me for these clubs as he threw everything he had at me, and eventually got me fitted into both clubs being Taylormade Sim 2. I was surprised by this only because I wasn’t a huge fan of the Taylermade Sim driver, but I was not surprised that I got fitted into a club that I was not expecting to pick. That’s the beauty of True Spec, they have such a variety of clubs, and Tyler was an expert in getting me the right setup for my game. I was looking for control and power with my 3 wood that I could hit off the tee if my driver isn’t working. And for the Hybrid, I wanted a gap filler to go for longer par 5s in two with height and distance. This hybrid, I hit over and over again with EVERY shot landing between 222-224 yards...Tyler made a joke that I should hit PW off of tees to get myself to 223 yards out because of how consistent it was. I’ll be back again next month for a gap analysis with another awesome update I’m sure! Update numero 2! Third time In 6 months (ish). I’ve got my full bag fit here: Callaway Mavrk Driver, Taylormade Sim2 3W and 3H, Honma TRV 20 (4-11...yes 11), Taylormade HiToe 54,58 wedges, Bettinardi B1. I am more than pleased, I brag about my set to everyone (usually only after they notice my sexy beautiful set of clubs). I used to play at about a 4 handicap 5-6 years ago, but gradually played out to about a 9 over the years...I can say with this new set, I’m working my way back down to that 4. Tyler was a HUGE help when I came back for my gap analysis, and got my set spot on for me to go out and shoot a 76 the next round out, and also winning a member-guest tournament that weekend. I started hitting clubs and he made small changes thru the whole process. Cody was awesome, he really knew his stuff. He very quickly could diagnose that I was using the wrong equipment. Within about 20 minutes i was up 8 mph ball speed and about 20 yards of carry. I will be back, fantastic experience.
