Four Stars...for the course. Super well maintained and the greens are pretty tough...in a good challenge kind of way. The folks there are really nice, too. I hope it is the plan of ownership to provide a café and/or food venue beyond a rack of snack bars and hot dogs on a roller. That would make this fine course an even better destination.

This golf course is very fun to play. The course is beautiful and not too many people playing on Monday. The staff is awesome and very nice to talk to. The front 9 and back 9 are a lot of interest because you get to play with amazing things to see while playing. Not too much water or sand but be careful on a few of the holes. The only thing I had trouble with were the greens. They were very, very fast. Perhaps I'm just not used to such fast greens. Anyways, I had a lot of fun playing and if I still lived in Idaho I would play here a lot.

The course is in impeccable shape. Greens are fast and firm, fairways are lush and barely look used at all, and the tees are clearly moving around a lot. The only downside is that its out of the way a bit, but it’s worth it for the conditions and the price you pay.

TimberStone was in great shape when I played. It is mostly flat and straight with not a lot of water or bunkers. I think this one would be an easy walk, but the twilight rate was so great, I didn't walk this one. I liked holes 7, 8, 14, and 15 the most.

Great time! A beautiful course in great shape and surrounded by farm fields and the open plains. Fresh air and quiet surroundings. Well worth the drive, we will definitely be back frequently. We rode the "golf boards", cool experience for sure but will likely stick to the traditional cart in the future. Thanks for a great day of golf TS, see you again soon!

Great course, long and open, but plenty of challenges as well, like the sand traps I spent way to much time in lol. The proprietor was great, and we really enjoyed the on board cart computer. Overall a wonderful golf experience, I would recommend it to everyone.

It’s very hard to beat this course and the prices are one of the best, especially right now in August green fees are 1/2 off. The carts come with their own GPS. The staff at TimberStone golf course are on point every time I have been out to golf also, friendly people. Course is in awesome shape so you know the Sup knows what he’s doing.

FUN course to play! Good elevation changes, beautiful scenery, immaculate greens, and just the right amount of hazards to make it a bit of a challenge. Even the tee boxes were in good shape. I kinda wish it was closer to Meridian, but even at that, I enjoyed the drive. My wife (a social golfer) played with me this time and even she loved it. Thanks for a great day of golf!

Had a great round of golf on July 6th. Course is in great shape. Greens were faster than others around the valley but very well kept and ball rolled smooth. This was my second time playing this course and will be back soon.

Very well maintained course, beautiful , decently challenging. Very friendly and courteous staff. Great price, great driving range , awesome carts with touch screen and GPS that worked wonderful. If I lived in Caldwell I would just go ahead and buy a season pass but I live in Boise. It's still worth the 40 minute drive once or twice a week. I can't wait to come back soon and play again.

Course was in fantastic shape as usual. Greens phenomenal as usual. Great Fathers Day with some great Friends. The only 👎🏾from our round was the marshal asking us to speed up our round as we were finishing putting on #6 when the group behind us had just tee’d off on #5. I could care less what the GPS timer said on our carts. That was disappointing. But we didn’t let that hamper our round. Great outing!!

Played here today and had a ton of fun. First time here, it is quite a trek, but we'll worth it. Considering it is still technically winter, the course was in great shape, greens rolled true, fairways were all nice, and rough is very manageable. I will definitely he bed at least once a month. Great course, definitely recommend it. It's worth the drive.

Good layout. Course was in nice shape. Greens were insanely fast and very hard. Most greens had multiple tiers that made them play smaller. Very tough greens coupled with thick rough and relatively tight fairways...better bring your A game.

Nice course that will only get nicer as the trees mature. Not a big fan of the greens. They seem exceedingly fast and much harder to play than other courses. The practice facility is nice. Clubhouse ditto. Pricey for Canyon County but overall a very good experience.

Very nice public course. Greens were fast and true, especially for the volume of play. Weekend play had some delays, round took 4.5 hours. Mix is easy and challenging holes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will play Timberstone again!

Course was well maintained and challenging. The staff however was not inviting or engaging in any way. In the middle of conversation he stopped what he was saying to answer phones. So obviously the phone call was more important that the $200 I was about to give him. Non apologetic and very much made us feel like we were going interrupting him and not worth his time. Been a long time since I have came across someone that made not just me but my entire group feel that way. I will be back because it could just have been a fluke but it could be a costly one.

Enjoyed the golf course a lot. You never feel squeezed off the tee and the greens are varied and interesting. Just enough sand and water to get your attention without punishing you too much. Played the 6,000 yard tees with two friends and we all enjoyed the course. Friendly staff too!

Though it was a great course. Played great and well maintained. The carts have good points and bad. If you are used to the standard carts you will find your self backing up a lot. The people were helpful, friendly,and easy to talk to. Will enjoy coming back.

Beautiful younger landscaped course. The greens are some of the best in Idaho. The staff was great at ensuring play was on pace and updating with reasons if there was any hold up. The course itself was difficult but fair and at a great price. Just too bad it's pretty far out there. Overall, a great place to golf.

This is my favorite course in the Treasure Valley. The course is always in wonderful condition, the greens roll true and are fast, and all the staff are wonderful! Their practice facility are well kept, and the performance center has everything you need to dial in your game. You can also play indoor golf there on the simulator if the weather is terrible.

Fantastic golf course! I have been golfing here since the day it opened and it continues to improve every year. Best Greens in Idaho that will definitely test your putting skills. This golf course does not disappoint. Worth the drive from any where in the treasure valley.

Timberstone is one of the top 3 courses in the Treasure Valley and probably the BEST public course. Course design is amazing, presenting unique challenges from all tee boxes. The course is always in great shape and the greens have always rolled true and fast when I have played. What's a great golf course without a great Pro? PGA Pro Tad Holloway is an Idaho legend and one of the best instructors around. You'll need to drive a little further to get there but it is totally worth it!

Great course and great staff! Best fitting facility in the northwest! Full Trackman fitting bay with Trackman 4. All the major manufacturers and a world class repair center! I would not get fit for golf clubs anywhere else, the experience was the best I have ever had!

Nice course and layout. The greens were soft and rough manageable. There were no delays from slow play and no groups pushing us from behind. It will be good when the water stations are usable. An overall good experience.

A great place to relax and enjoy golf at a quality course. I love the gps screen on the cart to show distance from the hole. Easy reservation process online as well. Love this course and play it all the time. Tried my first twilight round and left after 2 holes when we backed up on the 3rd hole behind 3 groups. Asked to tee off on 10 when I saw no one on 9 yet and group on 10 left 20 minutes ago and was told no. Morning tee times only from now on. One and only poor experience here out of dozens of rounds played

The staff and course are amazing. Great Golf course to play. Any time I am in the valley, this is the course that I come to play. The course is forgiving for mediocre golfers like me, but tough enough that it requires certain ball placement to play well. Highly recommend this course to everyone.

If you like puts both fast and true, perhaps this is the course for you. The head pro took time to meet us when we arrived early on a Saturday morning. He also ask us about our experience afterward. Great management, great grounds crew, awesome layout, and the option of renting a golf-board make this course worth the short drive to the Caldwell countryside. Easily the most enjoyment I’ve had in my last 75 rounds.

Golfing was great! Carts have the new gps system in them so you can see how far from the hole you are! I paid $25 after 5pm for 18 and a cart. Such a great deal! 3 stars only because the guy behind the counter who helped me had a bad attitude. He seemed entitled and was short with me. He acted like I was an interruption to his day. Besides that guy my overall experience was great!

The course is in great shape. The fairways are green and the rough is cut in a fair manner (2-3"). Greens are fast and downhill putts are scary. New Club Car carts are very nice and equiped with yardage and hole gps display. The only bad thing is the gps quit working on the back 9 for both carts. We were playing on the after 3 rate which might have caused the carts to track just 9 holes. Overall, it was agreat round of golf on a course that is very peaceful.

Great course. I have been going to Timberstone since it opened. Watching the course and trees mature over time has been wonderful. Some of the nicest greens in the valley. New updated carts with GPS installed for anyone wanting a technical addition to their game. If you haven't visited Timberstone lately, or ever, you need to get a tee time before the season is over. Did I mention the 2 for 1 green fees during August?

The course is in amazing shape for this early in the season. The new carts with GPS are some of the best I’ve ridden in. I wish there was better food and drink options out there. But they constantly run specials on the greens, so the drive out there is worth it

Definitely a good course. Just make sure you you go when it's not too packed. Sometimes we had to wait to play the next hole because everyone was kind of stacked. But that's not a big deal. We didn't mind the wait. If was fun none the less! Will continue to go!

Was very nice round the people inside were great. We finished in 4 hours and 10 minutes and it was nice having the electronic scoreboard in the golf cart with the yardage tracker been to alot of courses in the valley and only had 1 other place that had that. I will be going back.

I booked on-line and all went well until we arrived with about 25 minutes to get ready to tee off. We were told upon check-in that they bumped us up about 12 minutes early due to a tournament going on. Nothing mentioned about that when I booked on-line. Only issue was a need to hurry faster than I like to tee off. I really hate feeling rushed. Everything else went fine until the 4th green when we noticed dark clouds building and heard distant thunder. The horn sounded and we headed back th the clubhouse to wait out the storm. We were offered a rain check for another 18 holes with a cart without hesitation. Folks in the club house were great. Will definitely golf there several more times this year. I would have given 5 stars but for the need to rush faster than I like. A heads up would have helped so I could have altered my arrival time.

The Golf Cart was basically my personal Caddy, was my score card as well as giving me the distance to the Greens and to the holes. I love the distances between the tee boxes as well, a little preparation time before the next hole. Well designed golf coarse...

The course is good but they don’t put out scorecards at hole #2 -there’s 2 ball washers a side. The scoring on the GPS system is very hard to use. The staff is unresponsive. If the GPS cart gets off the path by a foot the system slows the cart of just shuts it down and you have to back up very slowly/ very frustrating. There’s no real snack bar. Just drinks and candy bars. Greens are nice but a bit severe for how unlevel they are

Course played fast which is always nice. We didn’t have anyone catch us nor did we catch anyone. So we got to play at our own pace. The golf carts are tricked out with gps which is cool. They shut you off when you go out of bounds with them which is annoying at times when you hit those wild shots or when you just get close to the out of bounds line... But all in all a great time. Wish they had a beverage cart circling course bc it is hot out there! But the carts do come with a cooler so you can load up before hand.

Great course. Smooth fast greens with perfectly cut cups that have no high or low spots on the edges. Makes for honest putting! I’m a local and played this from day 1. Every year it gets better!

Perspective is from a female, 19 handicap golfer from the gold tees. Course had visual variety, i.e. water, sand, trees, which I always enjoy in a golf course. I felt course was fair without being boring. If I hit a typical shot down the middle, I scored bogie with a chance at par. If I hit an errant shot, I had a chance to recover and only lose a stroke or two. Course is well maintained; ball rolled nicely on the green. This was my first time playing TimberStone. Greens had subtle breaks that caught me by surprise, but I would know them if I regularly played the course. Definitely a course my husband and I will play again when we visit the Treasure Valley.

Favorite course to play. The greens seem to always be in top form, speedy but fair. Fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers are well kept. The newly added carts with GPS are very nice.

I almost never play on the weekends and don't have any trouble with pace of play. I believe the course is more challenging than first meets the eye. It is open, true, but the greens get lightning fast in the summer and the ball rolls true. If you're a 10-handicapper or less, then play from the tips. There are a number of holes that allow for shot-making alternatives and strategies -- play safe to score or go for broke. It is one of the best values I've ever seen (played mostly in Northern CA) and only 20 minutes from 84 and 55. The staff are very nice, helpful and do all they can to make it a good experience for you.

The best golf course in Canyon County. The manager/owner, Kelly and his entire staff are not only professional and friendly, but go out of their way to ensure all of the guests have a wonderful time. TimberStones' facilities are state of the art. The course is gorgeous no matter what time of year. TimberStone is the best course in the Boise area.

Timberstone is one of my favorite tracks in the Boise Valley. Turf is always in great shape. Rough is unforgiving and plays like actual rough. In golf, if you don’t hit the fairway, your approach should be difficult. The greens speak for themselves as they are easily top 3 on the Valley. I also appreciate them updating their carts with gps units. I put my range finder against the gps several times, mainly due to habit, and it was completely accurate every time. Absolutely helps pace of play with gps units. Last year I learned a ton in getting fitted for putter. The information was definitely worth every penny the fitting cost and I appreciated the time put in to help me better understand what was right and what needed help. Staff is top notch. I’ve played several times in last 4 years and if I’ve ever had an issue that’s not been addressed and handled. These guys are top notch. My only riff is the location because I’m selfish and wish I lived closer so I could play it more often. Absolutely worth the drive and a course that every person I play with loves. Keep up the good work!

One of the most fun golf courses in the state of Idaho!! Beautiful course, in great shape and challenging for all skill levels. TimberStone creates a fun atmosphere for the whole family. With low prices it is hard to find a better deal, well worth the drive from Boise.

Played over the weekend with some buddies for the 1st time. Staff was friendly, the course was well maintained. The front 9 played fairly easy and seemed a little short, but the back 9 was much tougher. Two tough par 3s, one over 200 yds and one over water at 150. Every green seemed to be two tiered with pin placement in the most difficult spot possible! Definitely had some 3 putts. Will be back to try again!

Due to COVID-19 I had not played there this year. I was amazed at all the homes around the course. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect. Best conditioned public course in the valley.

Played TS April 1st. Fairways super hard & pretty brown. Guess your water was not yet available & should improve soon. I feel your proximity cart system is very poor, frustrating & needless. Way to sensitive! Warnings & messages are triggered when the cart is on the course, not off! I tend to just walk & not use a cart when playing TS. Annoying system. I feel your green fee specials are great however they tend to compete with each other. I bought a birdie pass last Sept thru Dec for $109. There were better deals offered later in sept/oct than the birdie pass that I would have liked to use, but I already paid & was committed to the birdie pass deal. Frustrating! Not doing that again! Somehow, I feel you need to protect those who commit to earlier programs & not leave them disadvantaged by a better/newer program being offered. I like the course! Wish you had water available on the tee boxes! Hope someday more food selections will be available too. I think the club fitting/swing analysis charge in the learning center should be waved completely if new clubs are bought. I know of friends who went through the session & bought clubs elsewhere (another golf course) due to lower club prices. Seems crazy to not incent a complete, competitive & one stop deal/package. I play with a regular retired golf group of 15 players. We play several courses around Boise & TS is one of our favorite 5 courses to play. I try to listen to the opinions of our other group players when setting up our once or twice weekly rounds. These comments are both my opinion & those of our other players too.

Great course well cared for however the carts shutting down so easily is a real attitude killer. No other course that I play does that and I don’t believe they have that many problems over abuse. It’s like big brother watching over you.
