Chasing Daylight Podcast

A total take of two nines. The front is is an adventure of elevation changes and dramatic tee box shots while the back is a flat, traditional tree lines layout. Both are a blast to play but the front is clearly the winner. The rates were reasonable and the staff was great. Afterwards we ate at the bar and the food was outstanding! I’d consider this a hidden gem in the Boise area. The greens, even rolling a little slower than I’m used to were flawless and the rough is PUNISHING to say the least. I can’t imagine anyone not having a great time here. The next time I’m in Boise I’ll be back for sure.

Great day for golf. We (IGF)had our first tournament of the year. Our forsome shot 73 with designated ball format. Came in 4th. But to make it special I shot 1 better than my age. Golf course was perfect, wind made it challenging. Played today 10/11/22 Got my second hole in one on #3. The weather, course, and friends were perfect. Clubhouse gave me a nice gift for the hole in one. The facilities here are very well groomed, practice greens, driving range all very nice.

Great course, though it seems the prices here have increased faster over the last year or two than other places in the area. The course is in ok shape but you'd expect more for the price. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue, they really shouldn't allow anyone to walk unless it's a slow time, we had 2-3 groups backed up because of a group that was walking on a Saturday afternoon. the course is just too large and hilly for walking.

Fun golf course. Very friendly and helpful staff. From the bar to the pro shop to the greens keepers, everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Even if you don’t golf stop by for a breakfast burrito or a great tasting hamburger.

This is definitely one of the top courses to play in the Valley. Not only is there plenty of terrain, picture perfect holes, and a wonderful valley backdrop, but the Staff is superb! They have always accommodated me (I usually go as a single without a tee time), have been super cordial and treated me more than fair. Just a fantastic place to golf!

Drove in from Longview, WA to play this beautiful, very nicely designed golf course on Tuesday, October 15. Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery - the surrounding hillsides in morning light were stunning and the course was so green and well-kept; especially the greens and beautiful stone tee signs. This course is devoid of houses...and thus has a nice, quiet country ambiance. Kaden in the pro shop and Roman the greenskeeper were very welcoming to me. Roman even stopped his mower to help me look for my lost ball on #10...now how often do you ever see that from maintenance staff? Really impressive customer service! The club sandwich at the bar was outstanding, with friendly, attentive and rapid service. A great golf experience...I'll definitely return!

We only did went to the range and some putting. The grounds were maintained nicely and very fun little putting holes. Friendly staff that didn't mind us staying 20 minutes after closing to finish our game.

Great front nine and creative design. The course is full of divots and ball marks on greens. Come on golfers respect your beautiful golf course. And maybe give “Mr Grumpy” in the pro shop some customer service training.

What an amazing hidden treasure for golf. I visited the course for the first time and will definitely be back for more. Very well-groomed. The greens were great and the fairways challenging. Customer service was fantastic. Thanks for an amazing experience.

Front 9 is one of the more fun stretches of holes in the valley. Scrambling up and down the hillside makes for some creative shots and great views off some of the tee boxes. And they just do it right with how they take care of people on and off the course.

Normally always get a cart for twilight golf.. New gentlemen up front said we had to walk.. Sprinklers came on the last two holes and we could not finish.. ????????? PAID FOR 9... Coarse was in amazing shape, price is amazing just curious why the change with the carts..

Great staff and wonderful course. Aged trees, water features, good use of hilly terrain. Best part is their pricing after 5:30. Can't find a better deal in the valley, especially amazing when you look at the grounds.

One of my favorite courses in the valley! I prob play this sport 100 times a year and a lot of it is at Shadow Valley. I love the layout, and the scenery. The staff, Kevin, Bronson, and Cayden are amazing as well and willing to help you in any way!

Was playing with a group of friends (all in their 70's and walkers) that I started inviting out to Shadow since it's closer to my house and not theirs and they don't play it very often $$$. We played the front in 2 hours and 7 minutes. The Marshall / pro (usually a friendly guy) came out and told us to pick up the pace in a not so friendly manner. This was on a Tuesday with no other groups within at least 1 and 1/2 holes behind us. I guess all the ball marks and divots we take time to fix slowed us down a bit too much.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Shadow Valley. The staff was very friendly, very nice practice areas. The course was extremely well maintained and it seemed the local players repair their ball marks on the greens. Gorgeous vistas await you and challenging, but fair holes.

Keys lost off of cart during 18 holes. Not only did my keys get returned when I got back but the staff has always been exceptional. Very little weight and always well kept greens and Fairways

I have played Shadow Valley many times. The course is great and there is a challenge for every player. Even more than that, the people who work there are head and shoulders the best crew in the valley. Every time I play, I am met by someone in a cart who offers me a drink and a cookie. Seriously, who does that? Last time out, I played very early and they had some issues with their irrigation the night before and the course had some standing water on it. It didn't bother me at all, and I was playing quite well. On 14 someone approached me on a cart and apologized for the condition of the course and said they wanted to comp me the round. I insisted that wasn't necessary, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. On 17 he swung back around and handed me a pass to play the next 18 on them. It was above and beyond. Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the front nine holes, but the back nine wasn't as great. I'm sure the developer had to squeeze the back nine into a smaller piece of real estate. The staff was great. They didn't have a beverage cart on the day we played but someone brought out complimentary cookies.

Bob Campbell, Shadow Valley, PGA Golf Instructor, just gave me the best golf lesson of my life -- and I have had many (I enjoy working on my game). He is warm, a good listener, excellent communicator and knows what he is doing technically. He is not just about the mechanics, though, and understands the psychology of the game. He nailed it for me! I'll be back in August if not before and couldn't recommend him any more highly.

Shadow Valley Golf Course is one of my very favorites even today while we were playing golf the Marshall Harry came around with bottles of water and cookies for every player the golf course was an excellent condition the greens rolled true we had a great experience I definitely give it a five-star Kevin and Bronson and the golf shop couldn't have been more efficient or friendly thanks again the Shadow Valley Golf Course
