The thing I remember most about River Birch is how wide the fairway felt on #7. They seem to start you out quite friendly with wide fairways on 1, 2, and 3 as well. This is another flat, straight, easy to walk course. I liked holes 1 and 9 the most.

I have played here about a dozen times now. I always enjoy a very relaxing round of golf at RB. Mid-week you rarely have to wait and no one playing into you. Can be a challenging course when the greens are running fast…good value and very friendly staff. The golf course is always in very good condition.

Great course, very open and well kept. Staff is great, rates are pretty good. Bit of a drive unless you live in Eagle or north Meridian but worth it for this beautiful course!

Well kept, wide open and fun local course. Main issue is overcrowding they may need to raise their rates. Also pace of play is poorly managed. They let groups of five and six on at once and it slows down the entire course. Fun course but pace of play and overcrowding make it 3 stars out of 5.

Something happened around this course it's in amazing shape and I can tell from playing here over the yrs that they put alot of work into this course this yr and it is paying off. Tip of the cap to the staff u guys do amazing work.

Fun course. It's well maintained and usually pretty easy to get a tee time. The front 9 is pretty open, the back 9 tightens up. With the different lengths from the tees it's pretty playable for most skill levels.

Great course and good prices. Pace of play is nice and they have some difficult holes. Always enjoy playing here. Great for young players with a Youth on Course card. Most courses you have to wait until after 2PM to use it but not here.

Star has a highly rated public course in its backyard, three miles from the center of the city. An 18-hole, par 73 from the longest tees, River Birch Golf Course opened in 2004 and is acclaimed for the high level of upkeep, high pace of play and reasonable green fees. The trees that were planted along the fairways in the early 2000s are starting to mature, giving the course a different character by the year, and slowly posing more of a challenge. And although the course isn’t covered in water hazards, these have been placed in areas that will punish even moderately wayward shots, ensuring an engaging challenge for the most seasoned golfers.

Great public course. It is well maintained and a great place for the novice and middle level golfer. The majority of the holes are pretty straight. There are only a few water hazards and bunkers on the entire course. Fairways are generally pretty wide. I love the tunnel. 18 + cart + clubs was just short of $60

For the money its a nice course. Not overly long but still has some interesting holes. Good for beginners and experienced golfers. The greens were in good shape when we were there.

After getting invited to play here last summer, this course has become one that I truly recommend to every skill level. The wide open fairways allow you to test your different shots without having to worry about losing your ball every shot. The greens are easily seen but they still challenge you and provide you with a great putting surface. With the great service and fees, this is a great place to play in Idaho.

What a great course. I always love playing out here, it has its challenges, but is forgiving. Moderately priced, and close enough to be back home in time for dinner.

Course is in great shape, and once the greens are back to normal, near the top greens in the valley. Cudo's the greens keeping crew and the rest of the staff, that has turned this course into an awesome track over the last 5 years.

The greens and fairways were in very good shape. I noticed other improvements on the course - removed trees, clearer streams, etc. The course looks better managed compared to a few years ago.

The course is in pretty good shape considering we are nearing the end of the hot season. It is a really compact course with houses along the front and lots of mature trees throughout.

Wide open golf course, great for beginners and just plain bad golfers (me included). The pace of play can be slow, and there is no where to lose a ball except the rough. I have participated in a few scrambles here as well, some of the better organized/ran tournament happens here.

Early in the season, greens were cut low & thatched. Was cool & wet without a lot of covered areas on course for protection. Great views, large fairways & great grass. Practice area too far from clubhouse.

Nice course!! They've cleared out a lot of the brush and trees along the creek. Looks much better. Course is in great shape. Greens are still coming back from the winter. They're playing fast.
