Course is great would be five stars if greens rolled a little better but for the price it's worth every penny!

This is the second year of playing at Woodward. The improvement is in progress. Green at some holes were brown and patchy. But my current visit, they are getting better. See more green color than before.. Fairway in each hole looks better. Service is always great. The golf cart is equipped with GPS. The price is reasonable. Nobody can beat it.

My wife and I have been members for over 9 years. Have met a lot of great people and it is a perfect course to play and enjoy. Jeremy, our club pro,does a great job. He really takes great pride in his job and makes sure everyone who plays feels welcomed. We are a semi private club, so the public is welcome. Come on out and enjoy a round with us.

Would give 4 stars for the quality of the course, i.e., greens are EXTREMELY slow and some of them weren't in great shape...BUT...the staff was super friendly, including the golf pro and the teenagers working the pro shop...Mrs. Vicki (Grill) was very nice and made my 7 year old feel welcome. Overall a great course for the value and I wish it were closer to home.

This golf course is legit. I've been golfing for about 5 months and I've tried almost every course in the area not to hard, not easy. Greens are beautiful, the people are welcoming and the food is great! Putting greens & driving range available, also golf lessons available by the hour by Mr. Jeremyand he's good! As soon as I get my money together, this will be the club I join!

Played it twice recently. Love that it is old school with tight fairways and small greens. Great fun while challenging. If you only want to bomb it and shot making doesn’t matter to you, you will be challenged greatly.

Overall a good layout to play, like this most about Woodward. Greens need some new growth and tending and bunkers were in need of turning. Fairways are good though. Nice folks and a great location.

Great fairways....greens ok despite Greenskeeper being an uncertified, uneducated, lazy clown. The head pro, Jeremy, is 1st class all the way along with his staff. Highly recommend this course. Mac..Bessemer AL

Nice course for your money. Relatively flat. Room for error because it is open. The biggest danger of losing a ball are the water holes. Small greens with bunkers add difficulty. The greens are a little slower than the more expensive courses, but you can adjust. The length from whites is perfect for someone who drives around 230 at most like me. My new favorite value course.

This is a very nice course for the Birmingham AL area. 100 years old and a good design with small greens and lots of interesting holes, a real test of golf. Just stay out of the bunkers. Even now with dormant greens it is a very playable golf course.

Great course. Had it of fun playing it was priced well. The "grill" and everything inside is definitely outdated and the pro shop is not impressive at all. Overall I had a great time and will be back

Course was in good shape especially with all the rain we have been having. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the driving range needs a little bit of work but it's not bad. Overall had a great time course is pretty straight forward but has a few sneaky holes here and there.
