First time to play Roebuck in maybe 15 years. I was very impressed with everything. Many improvements have been made to the facilities and the course, even though it is December you can tell the bermuda grass is very healthy. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the visit today!

This is my favorite public course in Birmingham! The staff here is extremely friendly and I love chatting with them before my round. The price is good (18 holes $40 with cart 9 holes is $26 with a cart). There are no Tee times which I quite like because I can just show up when I get free time and get on the tee box. On busier days you may have to wait for one group to go but that’s a fine trade off. The putting area is right next to the first tee box so I typically putt til the fairway is cleared off. Pros: Price Friendly staff Pace of play is good Great Practice area (sand bunker, putting green, chipping area) Cons: No driving range (does have hitting net though so you can get warmed up a little)

Great value for the money. While its not a world class golf course by any means, you really can't find better value around the Birmingham metro area. They don't have a driving range and the greens are very small, but other than that its a great course for the money.

My friend and I played at Roebuck golf course a few weeks ago. Great hospitality and warm welcoming!! Price is reasonable and course is in a good shape. No tee time is required. It is a first come first serve basis which is different from other golf courses. After checking in, we were told to go to hole#1 to line up. If there is nobody, then just teeing off. We did not have any problems on that day because.it’s Monday morning. Couldn’t imagine when getting busy. Course lay out is side by side. Just have to watch out for another golfers who may hit balls into your fairway. Cart path is a bit rough but not too bad. Green is not too bad. Thanks to Broderick!! He is one of staffs there. He played with us for two holes after clocking out. We really enjoyed it!! We did not catch the name of a fews guy there. One gave us a guide book and the other whom we met a few times on course. Thank you all! My friend and I had a good experience here. Definitely, we will be back.

Nice course. Bit crowded Sunday. Grass in great shape. Greens were slow and smooth Aug '21. Thick turf will swallow your ball in the rough. Keep it in the fairway!!

Honestly, for the money, I don't think you can find a better course. Every tee box to every green is really nice. Very accessible. I've only recently discovered it and I've played about 7 times. I enjoy it that much. Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!

My polling location is a very well used community center that is well maintained. Getting out of the parking lot can be tricky from a bumper standpoint, but just angle your car! There's an elevator and handicapped parking/entry in the back. Overall, a really good voting center

This course is a great value for the money. They have it in great shape right now, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They even have a pretty darn good burger at the grill. I've played almost all of the public courses in the area, and you can't beat Roebuck. It's in better shape than any of the other courses in the price range. Pace of play is usually pretty good, the only times it's ever slow are the same times it would be slow on any other course. I would much rather play at Roebuck, due to the quality of the course - not just the price, over several of the higher priced courses nearby. Don't listen to the bad reviews, go play it and see for yourself.

Played there for years. Great course and good price. Ben Hogan played an exhibition round there. Come out and play it just knowing that. And take it easy guys, no reason to bad mouth the course and staff. They've always been friendly and professional in my experience.

It's true,Roebuck is a "blue collar" course; however, it is well kept. The greens are in better sharp than most other courses in this price range. As to being overcharged, you signed the receipt. Read it next time before you sign it! As to the people that are walking the course, most are retired and walk it for their health. You can join the course for $600.00/year and play as much as you want.

Bobby jones won his first tourney here(Southern Junior Amature). Fun to play, not over crowded. Great spot for new comers to the game, spray it out the box an play. Cheap rates.
