Musket Ridge is a wonderful choice for anyone planning a wedding in the DMV area. Not only are the views incredible, the interior is beautiful and the staff is professional and kind. As a wedding florist, I've interacted with many wedding venues and the staff here is one of the best. I highly recommend!

We got married at Musket Ridge back in April '22 and it is an absolutely stellar place to get married. Gorgeous views, incredible attention to detail for the couple day of and the months before. The brand new hard wood floors in the reception hall really make the pictures pop, and the service staff went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. We had some weather concerns and the staff were so helpful in our up to the minute considerations of the ceremony site. Food was delicious and we were so happy to get very generous to-go plates including d'oeuvre which we loved. Viki and her team were great, make sure to check out this venue!! (PC: BeeTwoSweet)

Amazing! Everyone at Catoctin Hall was incredible to work with. Viki was our point person with planning and our day of person Caitlyn was just the most wonderful and helpful! We had an amazing time and so did all of our guests! Catoctin Hall helped us through a postponement from July 2021 to July 2022. They made sure everything was setup according to our plan and had so many staff members on hand to help. I had such sweet bridal attendants helping me with my dress train and bouquets. Then at the end of the night so many staff members were there to help gather all of our personal decor items and helped my family pack them into the car. Everything down to the last detail was planned and thought through. Thank you doesn't cover it. Choosing the right venue is the biggest decision and Catoctin Hall made it the easiest decision. This is a great course! It was a little weird on the day that I played it because there was a frost delay and an event in the morning with a shotgun start so we started on hole 11. The staff really did a great job with the circumstances at hand and adapted masterfully.

We went to Musket Ridge on Friday for two rounds and everything was top notch as expected. The first round was at 8:30 and nobody was in front or behind us. I don’t know this happened because the tee sheet was filled. We had lunch and the food as quick and delicious. The bartender was fast, courteous and friendly despite being super busy. The second round was going just fine until we came to a big time backup at #6. I called the pro shop to let them know and we were moving again by the time got to the turn. The starter was calm and friendly as he got everyone in line and off the tee. This is easily one of my favorite golf courses in Maryland.

One of my favorite golf tracks in the area. The greens rolled really well, fairways were in great shape, tee boxes I would give a average rating. There is not much of a greeting any more when you arrive, which I feel they lose a little of their hospitality and welcome charm. First impressions for me were so so but the course is well worth it! Vicki on the inside is a gem. Looking for a venue for your next event, this place is a must see. The views are A+! Great food, cold beer - Would recommend this place for both for golf, outings, and any type of event.

Little pricey, but the beer and food costs are extremely reasonable. Course was in great shape. Water is really only a factor on holes 1-3, otherwise the course is pretty wide open. Views are beautiful. The Golf Pro was harassing our other group, who was ahead of us, over their pace of play, but they were running at a 2 hr 15 minute round per nine, so seems ridiculous to expect a foursome to be faster than that. That's my only complaint.

We toured Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge recently while searching for our wedding venue! Ultimately we ended up choosing another venue, but Musket Ridge was very close behind. That said, if there was something in the pro column that would have "tipped us over the edge", it would have been Melody. She gave us the best tour out of every venue we went to -- she was very thorough, energetic, and friendly and made us feel super comfortable. She is extremely organized, shared resources with us and answered tons of questions - we truly enjoyed our time touring here. If anyone is trying to decide whether or not to tour this venue, it's beautiful and Melody is your girl!

One of my favorite venues! The landscape of the western Maryland hills is beautiful and the staff was super accommodating with a golf cart for myself + my couple when we took sunset portraits after the ceremony. Food is incredible as well and the covered patio for cocktail hour opens the space up nicely without overlapping with golf guests.

First time playing here and loved it. Course is in great shape. Beautiful views around the whole course. The only thing that is terrible about this course is the logo. With the name Musket Ridge I was looking for a really cool logo. I was ready to get some good merch. Once I saw the logo I’d rank it probably worst logo in golf. Didn’t buy anything. Everything else about the course is awesome. Fix the logo.

Nice venue for a wedding. The day was very warm and before the wedding, a lot of people stayed inside. Staff didn't seem too like this. Steps down to the ceremony area were difficult for some older attendees to navigate. Reception was great

The venue and the staff were outstanding. The food, however was well below the accepted standard. We were twelve golfers and loved the venue and the staff! But, if you are considering this venue I would err on the side of caution. We all had dinner there and all the steaks were over cooked. I am not sure this chef knows what he is doing. For golf A+ For staff A+ for food F. Par.

I played 5/23/20. Course was in great shape, Tee boxes, fairways, and greens alike! Beautiful setting and I mean beautiful...mountains in the background! I haven't played one course in the Baltimore surrounding area that can compete with the views. Staff was friendly, driving range stocked with free range balls. Layout is awesome! A little slow at certain times, but I think the group holding everyone up only did 9 because we picked up pace on the back! Worth every minute the 45 minute drive! Only complaint (if I am being picky) was high grass off the the fairways separated many of the holes! I only hit one in there, but my partners hit a few and the balls were tough to find! However, that is player error, so of course they should really be blaming the golf club right? :) Will be back for sure and you should check it out!

We had our wedding here and from day one they have been great to work with. The venue was absolutely stunning and they had numerous back up plans for weather. The staff was very kind and easy to work with.

I have been here several times and I always enjoy my visit. This is a perfect scramble/better ball/team event golf course. Danger lurks everywhere but the risk vs. reward, especially off the tee, is bigger here than any other track I have visited. All my visits have been in peak season and during events, so the course has usually been in good to great shape. There are a few exciting holes but nothing that I remember enough to look forward to during each visit. Small pro shop and a solid restaurant make up the good sized club house. The range is fine too. The workers I have encountered were all nice but no one did anything to stand out. Definitely worth a trip or two a year if you live in the DC area.

Staff and starter were helpful and friendly. The range is close and it's use is included with greens fees. Course is scenic and well laid out. The greens are fast and true but like many suffer from inconsiderate golfers who don't repair ball marks. Overall a positive experience.

Great course with stunning views of the adjacent mountains and valleys. Reasonable difficulty with ability to post a good score with decent play. Pace of play was very good as we finished in about 4 hrs 15 min. Could have been in a little better condition, many bare spots in fairways and inconsistent sand in bunkers.

Course is in good shape. Greens fast and true. Had to use grass mats on the range, tough on wrists. Range is beautiful but the steep drop off precludes you from seeing where shots land. Staff very friendly, clubhouse wonderful, view spectacular.

Course was in very good condition. Fairways were decent a little wet from overnight rain but still decent. Greens were very smooth and fast have to adjust to good condition greens. Will definitely come back again. a little pricey. Probably 10 to $15 overpriced at $80 per round. Would not play on a weekly basis but once twice a season for sure

This is my home course. This year they have renovated many of the bunkers, which before now was my only knock on the course. The layout is challenging but fair. As the course is nestled in a valley the views are spectacular, especially from the clubhouse on top of the ridge. The entire staff is friendly and committed to providing great service. Ranked as one of the best courses in Maryland, it is a "Must Play".

We take an annual golf trip from California. I convinced my fellow golfers to stay in Frederick, MD and to play courses in the area. Musket Ridge was a short drive for us and the course was in great shape. We played our last round there before returning to the West Coast.

A well-run organization with first class results I must say well worth the trip and the expense because it's not cheap. But, you certainly get exactly what you pay for.

Some of the most spectacular views can be had on almost any hole on this mountain course. Unfortunately today the greens were bumpy and needed to be rolled. We've had alot of rain recently so the course was soft, even mushy in places. There wasn't any water on the front nine and no cart person. There were water barrels, but no water. We teed off at ten so I doubt they were filled from day before. Same pin placements also. Guess we caught them on a bad day. Unfortunately we had waited all summer to go there and won't be able to go back for awhile.

Really is a breathtaking track, with a course design not far behind. The variety of hole shapes and elevation changes tests your entire game without being frustratingly difficult or unfair. Bunkers did need more sand added, but despite that, this is a real winner. Bar/clubhouse area is very inviting as well, with reasonable prices and views over the entire property.

It's not senor friend. A lot of the Tee boxes need steps from the cart path to the tee because the hills are to steep and people fall tring to walk up or down the hills
