A family friend gave me some old clubs they never used so I initially came to see if there was any trade in value. Once we walked in I wanted to browse their women's collection. Adam helped us that day. Although their women's collection is small there were some good options. Had a chance to test them in the simulation. I did end up purchasing based on the 30 day guarantee but afterward knew this club would be a game changer. I have an upcoming tournament that I'll be using my new driver on so I'm real excited.

I have been a customer at second swing for the last two years and they seriously have some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Several months ago I was fit for a set of irons that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the ferrules kept coming unattached. The amazing people at second swing tried two separate times to try to fix the issue, free of charge, but it persisted. They eventually told me that they would happily swap out those irons with a new set that they would specially fit me for, even though the clubs were past the 1 month window. James did an excellent job with the new fitting and even gave me a discount on the new clubs to make sure they fit in my budget. Meg at the front desk was also a pleasure to work with. They really do whatever it takes to make sure the customer leaves happy with their purchase and I love it. They really earned my business and I can never see myself going elsewhere for golf equipment.

Scheduled a driver fitting for the first time in my life. David Ko was very professional and informative about the fitting process. I enjoyed my iron fitting with David. It's obvious he has extensive knowledge and experience. I already had a couple iron models picked out before I arrived. We tried each of those with different shaft options and he also suggested another model once he saw my swing and Trackman stats. I ended up selecting Ping i525s. These were the clubs he suggested. The look and feel of the irons were exactly what I was looking for and the performance was superior to the other options I tried. I'm looking forward to getting the clubs and trying them out on the course.

Fantastic experience. Shout out to Kyle for his knowledge of the game and willingness to help me out. I was actually thinking I needed to buy an additional wedge but he gave me a great explanation of why I didn’t need it. Very rare for somebody to be that honest. Ended up buying two great wedges and a three hybrid that I’m very happy with. Great value, they gave me a great number on the irons I turned in, and the store was in great shape. Overall a fantastic experience.

I gave my husband two clubs of his choice for this birthday, and today he worked with David Ko to find a new driver. David was fabulous. He was friendly, easy to work with, and patiently explained what my husband was trying out and why he was selecting each component for him. He recommended a thicker grip to help counter the arthritis in his hands. His final recommendation came way under budget! And, my husband got several valuable golf swing tips to help improve his game. The fitters don't work on commission, so it's a no pressure situation. We only had time for one club today (1 hour), and David made more suggestions before we come back for the second club. Couldn't be happier!!

I’m not a reviewer of anything but felt i should take the time to give a review about my fitting with Kevin Kraft so others could have a great experience as I did. I’ve been fitted before elsewhere but working with Kevin at 2nd Swing was the best so far. Before we started he really took the time to inquire about my game, likes, dislikes and goals for my game. Although I ended up in the same brand I have now I tried other brands that provided more distance, 20 yards or more but Kevin expressed his likes and dislikes of those results knowing what I wanted from my game. Happy to say I went with the new Ping G430’s Right after my iron fitting I was looking at a new driver. Kevin pointed me to a few options but warming up with my driver I just couldn’t hit an average shot. Kevin gave me a couple to try but I just wasn’t hitting anything so he stopped me saying that I should consider coming back in a month or so to do my driver fitting. We all know that many other fitters would have had me keep going trying to sell me something that wasn’t the right fit. So thanks for being honest and making it a great experience.

Had a putter fitting with Phil, and it was the best experience. Phil got some base numbers from my current gamer, and listened to my opinions on looks and was able to recommend a couple models, not just fitting my stroke, but my personal tastes. It took the full half hour but it was worth it. Me being stubborn, I wanted what I wanted even if the data said the other putter was slightly better, but Phil took that into account and helped me make very slight changes to my stroke to accommodate what I had my heart set on. Although it's a 1h45m drive from my house, the selection and more importantly the personal attention put into my fitting was incredible.

This was my first club fitting and Kevin was great with explaining all the aspects of the fitting process with me and made me feel comfortable with everything. Matt helped hooked me up with a great driver and 5 hybrid to go with a nice set of irons I picked out and was very helpful in showing me how my swing was and using it to find me some great clubs. Still up and learning (it's golf of course) but I appreciate all the help in getting me some new clubs!

I recently had a fitting done by David Ko, and he was exceptional. Not only was he informative and insightful—by showing me an array of club heads, shafts (with varying weights), and grips, while also educating me on concepts like lie angle—he was also incredibly patient. In fact, when I first arrived, I didn't have my best game (who does with this sport?), and David immediately recognized it. Atypical of a salesman, he didn't want to force anything on me if I wasn't comfortable, so he encouraged me to have a follow-up session. Kudos to him for that and many kudos for sharing a number of gems to help my swing and ball striking. Needless to say, I highly recommend David!

I’ve had two fittings with David Ko, one for a 5 wood and decided to go back to get fitted for a driver. David was awesome and explained what numbers were we looking for with each club. I assumed going in with a budget, a fitter would try to fit for me clubs at the top end of my budget. David was the complete opposite, I gave him my budget and then didn’t think about the price of any club while I was swinging. After having a clear driver winner, I was astonished to see the driver was 150 dollars less than the top end of my budget. David puts you in the club right for you and you can tell he is just a genuine person that cares about the job he does. I can’t recommend David and second swing enough!

I feel compelled to write a review regarding my experience at 2nd Swing. I purchased a custom set of clubs from them and once received, really struggled to find my groove with the clubs. Their 30 day playability guarantee is a thing - it's not just a marketing tool. I made another fitting appointment with Kevin Kraft and applied the credit from my first purchase towards the new clubs. Easy as that - no questions asked. Speaking of Kevin, the guy was phenomenal. Patient, a great listener, and super knowledgeable. It's hard to find great retail experiences anymore. 2nd Swing nailed it. Kudos for being dedicated to the customer experience.

My fitting experience with David Ko at 2nd Swing in Columbia, MD was great. David is very knowledgeable and he is easy and fun to work with. My fitting was for a full iron set and we tested a number of different club heads and shafts. I’m someone who likes to take my time and consider all my options when making a big purchase so I wish I had a little more time in the fitting. I was a little nervous before I got to my appointment, but David was so personable and professional I was immediately comfortable after meeting him. The process turned out to be a lot of fun. David was so knowledgeable and took the time to break down what went wrong with every shot, why it happened both in my swing and in the club set up. Regardless of my self-embarrassment, penchant to miss the ball entirely, and lack of in-depth knowledge of the sport, a couple weeks ago I appeared at 2nd Swing - Columbia, Maryland for a fitting with Kevin Kraft. Mr. Kraft's patience, understanding, and ability to make me feel like I was making the right decisions at appropriate recommendations was second to none. It did not hurt that the prices were extremely competitive as well! Would recommend the fitting process to all levels, lots of fun and cannot wait to obtain my bag.

I’ve had two previous driver fittings this year from non-2nd Swing fitters. Still had issues. Today I made an appointment and got Coach Blaine. Was skeptical for another fitting but drove 2 hours to give a last try. Coach Blaine listened to what I wanted and fine tuned a driver that I am extremely happy with. I will go back to 2nd Swing and Coach Blaine for further purchases for golf clubs. Highly recommend!

First, I don’t ever leave google reviews. The only other time I remember giving a review was when Howard County General Hospital misdiagnosed me with diabetes a few years ago. But that’s another story for another day. Anyways, Matt at 2nd swing hooked me up. I had just broke the shaft on my driver and came in to hit various shafts to see what felt good. Matt had me hit some clubs, talked me through the numbers, and made some tweaks to find the shaft that worked best. No misdiagnosing here. They were even able to salvage the new grip I had just put on my broken shaft. I was very pleased with my visit and would have surely spent much more had I gone elsewhere. So, cheers! Cheers to extra stiff shafts and misdiagnosed diabetes.

Went in to get fit for a new driver shaft. Coach Blaine was awesome! We first hit my current driver set up and then hit multiple different shafts but ultimately told me what I had was the best fit, made a slight adjustment for a better ball flight and did not push anything on me. My coach was Blaine Seitz….he could not have been more helpful and made a difference immediately with my attitude, stance and follow through. Blaine took his time and I never felt rushed. David was approachable and clear about the process, and helped me to find fantastic new irons that clearly improved my golf. David Ko was a true professional. This was my first fitting ever. I came in with clubs I had been using for years that were severely under sized for my body. He was patient, friendly, and offered guidance throughout my fitting session. By the end of the session I walked out with a driver, putter, and set of irons that were the correct length and feel and he was way under the budget I told him I had. I highly recommend using David for fittings and will absolutely use him for my next one.

I made my first visit ever to 2nd Swing Golf earlier this week to look at putters. My sales associate, Mitch, was very helpful. We started by attaching a phone to my current putter and getting some baseline putting statistics for my stroke. From there, Mitch recommended a few different putters for me to evaluate. Mitch seemed to take his time with me and was very low key about a purchase decision. I ended up buying a used putter and trading in my current putter. I think I paid a fair price for the used putter and also received a fair price for my trade-in. I have 30 days to try out the purchased putter and can receive store credit if I want to return it. I would definitely return to 2nd Swing Golf in the future (although it's 25 miles from my house).

My experience with David Ko (2ndswing - Columbia) was outstanding. After conducting research online, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and decided to make an appointment. I was fitted for a new driver and 3 wood and David was meticulous in properly fitting me - going through more than a dozen combinations of driver heads, lofts and shafts. He recognized when it was time for a water break so that any outliers did not factor into his recommendations. At no point did I feel pressured to make a purchase. I have already recommended him to my golfing group and would highly recommend David to anyone that is in the market for new clubs!

Haven't had great experiences with fittings around my area. Decided to try 2nd swing in Columbia MD and see if things would be different. Booked an appt online with David Ko. Finally a fitting with someone unbiased on brand but only concern was to put me in a driver that was best for MY game. We did the narrow down process then worked through shaft options and to my suprise a stock shaft option was best for my swing. We tried the upgrades but did not get the same results as the stock tensei blue 55g regular. Swing speeds leaned toward stiff shaft but that's why they have fittings I guess! 2 weeks later my tsr2 driver built to the specs David came up with showed up to my door. Went out back and cracked a few yard balls out in the field and BOOM! Bullet straight and farthest yet. I couldn't be happier with my experience at 2nd swing and can't wait to see what David Ko can come up with for my iron fitting. made the 30 min drive to 2nd swing because I didn't want to pay the new club prices these days. I'm glad I did. I had a great experience. I had a driver fitting with David. And he took great care and time with me. He knew why my old driver wasn't performing (too heavy of a shaft) and then had me try 5 drivers he thought would be best for me and then tweaked that driver to the settings he thought best for me. The results were immediate without any changes to my swing (a fitting is not a swing lesson, but to find clubs that work best with your swing). I gained approximately 30 to 40 yards just by having a newer driver (mine was 10 years old), and a proper shaft (stiff flex vs old school steel). The better balanced club allowed me to get better ball speed and more distance. I was able to get an affordable driver that improved my distance with a professional fitting. Because I purchased a used driver from 2nd swing, I didn't pay the $100 fitting fee, which I thought was great value. From David to the rest of the staff there, everyone was friendly and helpful and if you just wanted to look around, they were happy to point you in the right direction without any pressure to buy anything. For lefties, they have a huge selection of used lefty clubs which I thought was great because you rarely see that in other shops. If you're wondering if the $100 for the 1 hour fitting is worth it... stop thinking about it and do it. I hate overpaying for anything golf as I'm just a duffer that plays once or twice a month, but I want equipment that will help me play the best I can while I'm on the course and your equipment could quite possibly be wrong for you. Before I went to 2nd swing, I consistently hit my driver 200 yards in the middle of the fairway, but I felt like I should be getting more distance with how solidly I was making contact and how straight I was hitting it... and the data showed that my lack of distance off the tee was indeed due to poor equipment. A 1 hour session and a reasonably priced driver later and I can now get another 30 to 40 yards on my driver. And even though that doesn't sound like much, on the course it makes a huge difference with your 2nd shot. That extra yardage can put the green in play when it wasn't before. Even if this just nets me 5 strokes per round, the $100 fitting is well worth it. And David didn't pressure me to buy the club he recommended. He simply asked me my budget and goal for the day and he stayed in my budget and got me the best value for my dollar in my opinion. I don't think I can ask for more than that. I know this is long winded, but go online to 2nd swing and treat yourself to a fitting. Worst case you're out $100 and they tell you your swing is perfect and you're using the right equipment. That's not a bad "worst case scenario" in my opinion and if you're a duffer like me, and some inexpensive equipment changes can make the few rounds per year you play more enjoyable, then why not?

David is an expert on the Trackman swing analysis tech. He was able to clearly show how the data on-screen related to my ball flight path and provided a custom set of irons that allowed me to hit the ball further and straighter.

This was my first visit to 2nd Swing, but it will not be the last. I signed up for an iron fitting online at the Columbia MD store. I was greeted at the front door by the associate that was fitting me, Stephen Fitzgerald. He had his hands full with not only helping find a new set of irons, but also helping me unlearn 30 years of bad swing habits. Regardless, Stephen hit a home run by helping me realize my swing was more like a baseball swing (see what I did there?). He took me through a series of iron models, all the while giving me gentle reminders on how I was swinging. I ended up with a 6-P set of Calloway Mavrik and I hit them 10-15 yards longer than my old irons. Overall, an awesome experience and Stephen deserves a raise! I will be back!

Let me start with, I am NOT a golfer! Yes, I've been golfing about a dozen times in my life but I'm really bad, I just go for the fun it with. I play with a nearly 30 yr old set of Wilson ProStaff's, that are not very forgiving. Lately, I've been thinking I really want to get better. Not just go out for fun, but actually be somewhat competitive with the people I'm playing with. Today was the first step on that journey. Someone close to me suggested I check out 2nd Swing Golf. I originally checked them out for Irons but then decided that maybe I should actually get fitted for a set of irons, find out what I really need. I must say, Stephen Fitzgerald at the Columbia 2nd Swing checked all the boxes with me. Starting with, being on-time, Stephen was ready to go, asked me all the basic fundamental questions to get an idea of what my goals are. Stephen walked me through each step of the process, even offered me some pointers to ensure he wasn't just handing me clubs to try. Despite my full intention to purchase Irons today, there was ZERO pressure to buy a set of anything. There was ZERO pressure toward one iron or another and in fact, when it came down to 2 different irons, Stephen's further assessment of my fitting, had him actually recommending a set that was the lesser expensive of the two. I would highly recommend 2nd Swing for your golfing needs. Yes, there are tons of locations you can go to that offer golf merchandise, but few that offer the level of service I received today.

Update after last Friday (7/26) using both for the first time (driver + putter): Definitely hit at least 50+ yards farther with the new driver, and - once I started getting used to holding my putter properly and the heft over my old one - sinking more (and farther) puts when on the green. Then...the putter. Got a fantastic coaching and club analysis from Charles Murphy. Found out I was improperly standing near the club, causing likely much of my issues in the green. We chatted about military stuff, the VA, and he placed me finally into a perfect new putter. The best part, the putter helps me pick up the ball without issue (bad back from a deployment injury). Went in for a full bag Tour Van fitting w/ Kevin Kraft and could not recommend this experience enough. Kevin had fitted my irons years ago at a different facility. After going through other fitters for additional clubs, it became apparent that Kevin is an exceptional fitter. I sent two of my friends down to see him this past year and I'm glad I got the opportunity to do so for myself. The facility is really well stocked and the fitting studio in the back is a nice place to be while having your session. To add, the service response has been phenomenal. I had to make some additional inquiries and small adjustments to my order after leaving and it was taken care of immediately. I am totally satisfied and am excited for my follow-up to tweak and complete the new set in the spring.

David Ko was AWESOME!!! Came in to understand how my current stock clubs “fit me” or rather don’t fit me. David did a great job explaining the different routes I could take either with my current clubs or looking at some used or new options. We decided to move forward with trying out some new combinations and was able to feel how different club heads and shaft could make a difference in my swing. With minimal correction and the right iron combination I was able to go from looking like a bad shot at the gun range to spraying the middle of the fairway. I was impressed how having clubs that fit your swing could make such a difference.

I let David know my price range was 300-400 for a new driver and he was extremely respectful of that price range. He was very honest and assisted me in correcting a few minor things in my swing as this is only my second year playing. He took my 220-230 yard drives to 270-290 in about thirty minutes.I will be back to see David when it comes time to get my irons fitted. I suggest you request him for your fitting as well. I went in after about 2.5 weeks after my first fitting to get a different driver and switch a hybrid I was given to a 3 wood. My first fitting was for full golf club set, just starting to take up golf, and James wasn’t too helpful. He just told me I needed forgiving clubs and lessons. Not blaming him, I totally did. He just seemed disinterested in the fitting though. Enter fitting 2 with David. David was awesome. I wasn’t a huge fan of my driver and how it felt, and I was given that 5 hybrid that I wanted to switch to a 3 wood. David was super helpful, changing shafts in the driver, finding one that not only hit my price point, but was also great for me. During this fitting, he also coached me a little bit on how to get a consistent swing. Something James really didn’t have interest in doing. If David was available, I would definitely recommend going with him for your fitting, and David, if you want to coach someone on the side, feel free to reach out! Honestly couldn’t say enough good things about him!

This was a great example of why I love this place so much. I bought a 3 wood (no fitment session) a few weeks prior and I just could not hit it clean or consistent off the fairway. Went back before the return window closed and decided to actually get fitted and booked an appointment with David Ko. He had me warm up with a few different clubs to analyze my swing and distances before asking if I would consider playing a 5 wood instead since it fit my distance gap better. He brought out a few clubs that gave me options for different budgets. Went through session with various adjustments done with each club before getting it dialed down to two setups, one of which was slightly more consistent but both were far better than any previous one wood I’ve carried. I played this weekend and absolutely loved the club I was fitted with, it was a game changer for par 5’s and tight par 4 situations and happy to say it gave me two different eagle opportunities. David truly fit the club to my needs based on my metrics as well as my swing style and I couldn’t be happier. My name is Kyle Miller. First off if your nervous about getting fitted don't be this was my first time and I got fitted by Jim Donatelli. I had a blast. Jim was extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was addiment about finding the correct clubs that fit my game and asked for feed back after hitting a couple clubs on what felt the best, looked the best, etc. He didn't just look at the numbers from the screen and say this one is the right club for you and send me on my way or push any particular brand. I got to try out every club I wanted and Jim was very patient with me since I am not that good yet. He wasn't standing over me while i was swinging so it didn't feel like I was being judged. Great vibes from Jim throughout the entire fitting and as a bonus he gave me some simple tips to work on at the end of the fitting for the next time I am at the range to help me improve my game. You get fitted in what seemed like a relatively sound proof room with good music playing so people on the sales floor don't disturb you or make you nervous. Overall couldn't give you enough praise and I defiantly plan to come and get fitted with Jim again for a putter and wedges next time( I did driver, 3 wood, and irons). I will for sure be sending all of my friends that golf on down to you all as well. Thank you for the great experience.

This was by far, the best experience I could have hoped for. Kevin is a very experienced master-fitter, and his knowledge, experience, and trade-craft are exemplary and worthy of recognition. I’ve had club fittings in Phoenix at Cool Clubs and also Club Champion and is this has been my best experience. David Ko was fantastic. He was thorough, patient and extremely knowledgeable. I am a 5 Hcp and I believe David would be an asset to anyone. He fit me in irons that will give me more control added 3 wraps which dramatically improved consistency. From a Driver point of view I gained 3-4 mph swing speed with a light stiff shaft. A ton less spin and better dynamic loft which is creating more distance. Just a great experience! Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at 2nd Swing Golf in Columbia, Maryland. I purchased clubs in 1999 and only played three times with those clubs. I returned to the sport of golf 20 years later on Memorial Day Weekend 2019. After taking lessons and playing with my “vintage” clubs for three months, I knew it was time for new clubs. I walked in 2nd Swing Golf as a timid new golfer. The two people at the front desk greeted me with smiles. I told them I needed to replace my vintage clubs. They immediately directed me to Gary Cricks. GARY WAS AMAZING! He was patient, thoughtful, considerate, knowledgeable, honest and thorough. Gary performed a swing analysis on every club I hit (and I hit a lot of clubs). Gary went over this report in great detail with me and provided a print and electronic copy. The report including some of the following specifications: club speed, club path, attack angle, face angle, face to path, ball speed, smash face, launch angle, spin rate, height as well as dispersion and trajectory. Beyond just empirical data, Gary suggested I should also base my decision on experiential knowledge. He encouraged me to hit as many clubs as I needed until I found the one that felt “right” for me. Nearly 30 clubs later, we settled on a beautiful Ping G Le set. I left 2nd Swing Golf and went straight to the golf course. I already see great improvements in my game. It is official: I am a customer for life at 2nd Swing Golf. Thank you, Gary and 2nd Swing Golf!!

First visit at the Columbia, MD store. Booked an appointment with Blaine Seitz for iron fitting with the goal to leave the store with a new/used iron set within my budget. After Blaine discovered that I live almost 2 hours away and also was interested in upgrading my driver and putter, he worked with other instructors to try to book fitting session with the driver and putter during the same visit. Blaine made the iron fitting session super smooth and fun! I tried 6 to 8 different 7 irons and finally narrowed down to one with the assistance of the awesome technology inside the swinging bays related to ball spin, swing mph and downward angle. I previously had 20 year old clubs and I have gained about 20-50 yards on the irons! I left with a brand new iron set that was perfectly within my budget. Blaine paired me up with Matt over by the putting area. After several putting shots being recorded, Matt quickly pointed out my obvious putting mistakes that can easily be adjusted. Matt was very detailed at explaining how I could adjust and avoid future putting mistakes. Based on my preference regard to putter shape and having no inserts, he pulled out about 6-8 putters within my budget. We narrowed down to one putter and I made all the putts within 3-10 feet range! Again, we have upgraded my putter within my budget. Lastly, I went back to work with Blaine. Blaine used most of the stats from the iron fitting and applied it to the selecting a driver for me. After trying out 4-6 different drivers, we have selected one within my budget as well. My checkout went smooth with Dan after getting rid of a few putters for the trade in towards my purchase of the new iron set, driver and putter. My store visit and all the fitting sessions completely exceeded my expectations and I left being 200% happy! I already played 3 round of golf and see major improvements in my game with my new set! I will be back to upgrade my next set of clubs in a few years. A big shout out and thank you to Blaine, Matt and Dan! 😊

He set me up with clubs suitable for my height, gave me great advice/tips, and stuck around to give me a mini lesson on my swing. I ended up purchasing those clubs he grabbed from the back. Blaine was Great. Me standing at 6'8 and hands of a gorilla I was not easy to fit, but Blaine was all over it. Totally worth it what I thought I wanted and what ended up proving to be the best fit was definitely eye opening. Would have never entertained trying the irons that he suggested, but with the proper shaft after hitting and gaining 20 yards and the dispersion of a dime , the proof was in the clubs. Shout out to my club-fitter David, I wasn't sure a fitting was worth while as a 12-15 hdcp, but I tried it anyway - so glad I did! David took the time to learn my (less than perfect) game and was able to test a wide variety of equipment until finding what I really wanted and needed. After happily decided on a driver that averaged 15 more yards farther than my old driver and minimized my errors on mishits, I took it to the course that same day. Glad to report back that the bombs were plentiful and even the poor shots were salvageable. Very impressed and happy with my decision and instant improvement. I had bought a starter set from here a few weeks ago. Also scheduled a fitting (which is free if you buy clubs). I like that you can return any clubs within 30 days for an exchange. I didn't like my hybrid 3. Today at my fitting I had a guy named James. He was great. I am a beginner, and he sized up my swing in their computer. So much data. He also gave me pointers. I still needed a drive and a 3 wood (so I thought). James matched me up with a driver that was in my price range and had it analyzed on the computer. Then, based on my swing, he suggested a 5 or 7 wood instead of the 3 wood. I ended up getting the driver, the wood and great feedback. This is my only place to go to when I decide to upgrade... or if I decide to quite golf and want to sell my clubs. Lol

I had a great experience visiting the 2nd Swing Golf store in Columbia. The customer service rep and manager were very friendly and accommodating in getting the maximum trade credit when I brought in my used clubs. I had a driver-fitting appointment that day with David Ko hoping to find the most optimal driver head/shaft combination for my swing regarding a mint TM SIM2 driver, which I have been coveting for quite some time. I let him examine my current gamer driver (9* Titleist 915D/Aldila RIP-alpha S) and gave him a little background info regarding my game, swing tendencies, and handicap. I first warmed up hitting about 10 balls with my 7 iron. David then asked me to hit about 5 balls with my current gamer. He clearly explained what all the Trackman numbers (i.e. ball speed, smash factor, etc. ) meant and which areas I could instantly improve to gain more distance, for example: adjusting loft to the driver head and matching the correct shaft to attain the optimal ball speed and spin according to my swing characteristics. I was very impressed with David's knowledge and expertise in fitting me into my new TM SIM2 driver (10.5*; adjusted fade bias) within only a couple shaft try-outs, ultimately settling on the Mitsubishi Tensei-blue 60s. I can't wait to hit it on the course when the weather starts warming up. I highly recommend visiting 2nd Swing, Columbia store for the vast selection of new and mint quality used clubs that meets the criteria for every golfer's budget. Awesome experience, that was more than a fitting. Went in for a new driver and putter and iron fitting. I’m a 19-20 hcp and was worried my inconsistencies would be an issue. David Ko made 2 minor adjustments to my set up and swing and suddenly my fade/slice turned into a draw. Set me up with the right driver and shaft and I picked up a draw and 50 yards! Highly suggest getting fitted as I learned my driver was too heavy and stiff for me. The set up and swing adjustment also turned my 7 iron into a draw with more distance. I’ve never hit on a simulator that provides all the data, so seeing all that info was really cool and as I said, it was an experience more than a fitting for clubs. Def going back to David for a fairway wood. Highly recommend!

Went for the full bag fitting with Kevin Kraft. Kevin was both very personable and knowledgeable. We discussed my game, my current clubs and where my weak spots were. We worked our way through some of the more popular brands and some that I expressed interest in based on demo days I had attended. After narrowing it down we tried several different shafts. I ended with clubs that felt the best, went the furthest and were the cheapest. (Score!) I will say that the full bag in one day is a bit much. By the time we got to the woods I was too tired to hit the ball well. I ended up ordering a new set of irons but I will return another time to redo the woods. The company requires that they offer the full bag and I made the mistake of trying to do it all at once.

David Ko is a pro at helping golfers find a second swing. Being a tall (6'5) guy, I wanted to get correct sized irons because the ones I had were almost 2 inches short. David was super patient, friendly, and great at explaining all of the different stats that came out of the golf simulator as he navigated me through over half a dozen different irons and eventually found a set of Pings which were both affordable and felt right to me. In addition, David was really helpful at giving me tips to hit the ball cleaner so that I increased my distance, accuracy, and speed. Thanks to David, I quite literally gained a 2nd swing from the actual set of irons as well as the improvements to my swing motion. 10/10 would recommend again.

He was extremely knowledgeable, excellent to work with, he picked out a few different club makes, and he let me pick out and try a couple I did my research on, and his picks were much better performing than the ones I chose. He asked me what my budget was and worked very well to match me with the best clubs. I would recommend him to anyone, it was a great experience, the store was well layed out to shop for any product you could need, and every employee was pleasant.

I fully expected that clubs he was recommending to be at the upper end of my budget- but they were actually FAR LESS than I was willing to spend. Honesty like that can be hard to find, and its obvious that David truly cares about his customers. Also gave me a great tip while I was hitting the balls- which I'm confident will up my game the next time I go out. I cannot recommend 2nd Swing Columbia and David Ko enough. Had an iron fitting with David Ko and it was great! He watched me hit numerous shots with my current irons and recommended adjustments he felt should be made to my existing clubs. He also had me hit the latest club design so I could determine if I wanted to upgrade my clubs, but he did not push an upgrade. He also talked about the type of ball I was using and suggested I use a different ball. He also looked at my current grips and recommended I use midsize grips. The employees were very knowledgeable but more importantly to us, they really took the time with my 9yo. He started getting into playing when we aquired a set of junior clubs last year, but no one in our house is very golf savvy so when we look for new clubs or other things he needs, it's always a chore. Def found our new go- to place now! They all took their time with him, let him try out a few different styles (including clubs that we weren't all that interested in just because hitting a few inside on a rainy Sunday was fun to him), and really took the time to explain to him what each club he had was used for so he could decide how to spend his money. The guys who helped him were amazing, the lady at the front was amazingly patient with him, and everyone was very friendly and not pushy at all. Did I mention my son is not only a junior but also a lefty??! And they dug around and found just what he needed in a clearance club so that he didn't spend all of his money in one day! And to top it off, his day was made when the cashier handed him a brand new pack of balls to try out his new hybrid with! Best experience EVER and this is something I usually dread (except for the smile on my little dudes face!) We will be recommending them to everyone we know with kids or even adults who play. Originally had bad experience ordering my iron shaft. No one told me they are back ordered or everytime I called to check the status, they told me to call customer service. But i stopped in at the store to figure out what's going on, and a guy name Joe, the Sales Lead came and took care of the issue accordingly. We did a full bag fitting and he helped me 1.) find irons that immediately added 20 yards and add'l accuracy to my game, and 2.) after trying different new drivers, figured out why I wasn't hitting my existing Ping driver well (which I was ready to trade in). He was honest and pointed out why I wasn't striking the driver well. Two days after my fitting I’m immediately seeing consistent irons and at least add'l 20 yards off the tee with my existing driver. I was at first very disappointed after my fitting and being told I purchased the wrong clubs for my swing. I did a driver fitting with David. I didn’t know what to expect, but he ended up being awesome and spending so much time with me. We tested like half a dozen clubs, and one was clearly the winner for me. David gave me some tips on my swing and I was crushing the driver like 50 yards further, give or take (maybe 30+ consistently). He was so thorough and took so much time with me that I actually was the one to say “all done”. The data that’s created with the Trackman system is really impressive. David sent me the data afterwards, but I never received the email 😥. Not his fault but I’m bummed. Definitely a great store and experience. And I bought a nice driver to replace a 10+ year old one.

I want to start off by saying how impressed my husband & I were with our visit today to 2nd Swing, Columbia. Every employee that we encountered was polite and helpful. No pushy sales associates:-) The reason for our visit was because I had a iron fitting today with Jim Donatelli. I have been golfing for a few years now and this was my first time getting fitted for clubs. Jim was great! He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time with me to make sure we found the right clubs. He had me hit 5 different clubs and went over my stats from each make of club and explained what they meant. He asked me what I thought about the clubs that I had hit and when I told him which two clubs I had liked best, he told me that those were the two that he would have suggested based on my swing and the numbers. They both added almost 20 yards to my swing! He then spent more time with me trying different adjustments and also gave me some tips to help me with my draw. I would highly recommend 2nd Swing, Columbia to anyone that is interested in getting fitted for clubs. We were so impressed by 2nd Swing and Jim that my husband scheduled a fitting with him as we were driving home. He is headed back tomorrow!

We bought a used set of irons; hybrid; and drivers for her and it was an unpleasant experience with another fitter at 2nd Swing. However, for my driver selection we met with Charlie Murphy and had a completely different experience. He is perfect to work with! I started getting into golf again during quarantine this spring, and decided it was time to upgrade some clubs in my bag. I had a fitting for woods and hybrids with Charlie Murphy, and wow did it surpass my expectations. Charlie not only knows his stuff when it comes to the technical aspects of fitting, he is also incredibly personable which made for a great atmosphere. I was a little nervous as a mid/high handicapper, but Charlie's sense of humor helped me laugh off some bad shots and he made me feel really comfortable and relaxed during our hour together. In addition to fitting me for a 3 wood and 5 hybrid that worked well with my game, Charlie also gave me pointers throughout our session that had an immediate impact on my swing and had me connecting with the ball more consistently. I will definitely be back to work with Charlie on other clubs in my bag, and highly recommend him if you are looking for a fitter. I am always impressed with how knowledgeable and helpful the staff at 2ndSwing are (especially RT Odom- he has never failed to check in on me as I'm shopping to answer any questions I have, and he makes the store feel very warm and inviting), and I can't say enough good things about this place.

I had an iron fitting with Kevin Kraft and it was a great experience. I had never been fitted for clubs before, having bought off the rack in the past. I came in with no ideas on what I wanted. Kevin had me hit multiple types of irons until we found the head, shaft, and grip that worked best for me. I didn't end up with the most expensive clubs, Kevin recommended the clubs that I hit the best which were less than I was expecting to spend. I felt there were opportunities for "upselling" but Kevin kept the focus on what clubs were best for my swing. I am planning on returning to Kevin to get fitted for a driver.

Jim Donatelli was a great instructor and club fitter! I went into this fitting not knowing what to expect while looking for a new set of clubs. Jim has a lot of experience and is very knowledgeable about everything related to golf. I felt like he was genuine in finding the right set of clubs for me. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive or certain brands, but took the time to trial a variety of clubs to find the right ones that suited me. He gave me some golfing tips that I would never have thought of and he fixed my swing! (Well that's a work in progress). I decided it was time to upgrade my ancient equipment. I made an appointment with James and he really took care of me. He first gave me some tips to get some good swings so that i could decide what club to buy. I had decided what club i needed to buy and he helped me understand that my wants and needs maybe did not align :). I ended up with a Ping driver that of course I hit well in the shop. Now the test. I immediately went to the driving range and lo and behold, I was lights out with that new driver and 5 wood.....amazing.....The folks at second swing are awesome. Entered the store looking for a odyssey putter to replace my shabby old one. I walked to the back of the store to see if I could find the specific one. I couldn’t find the putter myself and so I asked. Turns out the putter was a hit or miss with the mesh insert and asked for recommendations. The manager found a couple I would like and I eventually broke it down to two putters. Both were great fits. Sided with a o works odyssey #1 putter. On the spot the manager brought the price down from 149 to 119. I was very pleased with my visit to 2nd swing.

It was not at all the model I expected to purchase when I went into the appointment, which is exactly why selecting new clubs in this fashion is the right way to do it. Have an open mind and let an expert like Gary help you discover which clubs are best for your swing. I have other appointments already scheduled with Gary (new driver and fairway/hybrid woods) and am looking forward to them!

I scheduled a fitting with Charlie Murphy and I couldn't be happier. I'm grateful I'm in a position to truly customize iron clubs to me as I bought a set up club heads and went in looking for the perfect shaft to fit my needs. Charlie didn't shy away from sharing that he can really do a putter fitting (I'm a little sad I didn't actually get myself fitted for my putter). At the start of my fitting he did ask another fitter, Kevin, where he should start but easily took the lead from there and it's evident he can read the data and explain it to demonstrate what exactly you need to look for when getting fitted for any club in your bag. I'm excited to say that we were able to determine what iron shaft I needed to provide me with the best iron game and got to walk out with a "new" driver to add to my bag as well! I will be scheduling another fitting once my clubs are built to have the lie and length adjusted as needed which will be done at the 2nd Swing custom build shop. If you're going in for a fitting, you need to keep an open mind. You may have certain brands in mind but you can't fit yourself to the club, the clubs need to fit you. There is never any pressure about buying clubs at all, even new vs used. They truly just want to ensure you walk out with something that will make you feel good. One other bonus! Charlie even shared with me 3 GREAT tips about my swing that will help me excel my golf game. He was kind enough not to share these with me during my fitting and waited till after we identified the right shaft so that I wouldn't shank ever ball there after. I will need to hit the range to work through some of my "bad" habits. I couldn't be happier that we have a Columbia location! The customer service and interactions with all representatives at 2nd Swing have been top notch hospitable experiences.

I am the kind of person who expects a store-based, club fitting experience to be part helping my game and part selling me on expensive clubs. We started out by discussing my chronic pain limitations and my price limitations. Charlie picked out drivers that fit into both sets of limitations and we went through a technology driven club testing exercise. Kevin was patient with me and took the time to try all the brands I had expressed an interest including Cobra, Taylor Made, Ping, & Callaway. After many club head shaft combinations we settled on the PING G425 with low spin tour shaft which has led to more fairways and considerable distance improvement. I am 17 handicap so didn't really know what I needed but Kevin took the time to explain spin rate, smash factor, dispersion, ball speed and club head speed. I would highly recommend Kevin to any golfer who wants a great custom experience to up your game.

Went in today with a plan for a set of golf clubs for my wife. We were approached by Charlie Murphy who offered assistance. We are very fortunate to have him assist us. He took into consideration a wide variety of factors and he recommended a set that made a whole lot of sense. We expressed some more details in what were looking for and we finally wound up purchasing something else that happened to be a little more pricey. What's funny is that we were the ones did the upselling to ourselves. Charlie never pressured us and in fact didn't want us to overspend, but he did want us to be content with our purchase. He also offered a comprehensive putting analysis, something that was beyond his call of duty at the time. What a treat! Through all of this, he was truly professional and very friendly. He led me through a great process related to both my putting stroke and various types of putters that might be good for me. The process included video and data analysis. It also included great advice from Charlie on my posture and putting stroke. He then showed me through the very sections of the store and all of the equipment that they carry. October 2, 2021 (Anthony Long-Master Golf Fitter) I finally decided to get a golf fitting. After searching for a place to get it done, I chose 2nd swing. It was a 40 minute drive, and I was hoping that it was going to be worth my time. I was so glad I decided to get it done, and that I chose 2nd Swing. I have never done this before, so I was very skeptical about this entire process. So much so, that I was researching the process online as I was driving there the morning of. I walked into the store and was greeted with a warm welcome from the associates working that day. As I looked around the store, I was overwhelmed with the mass inventory of golfing items. This is the golf Mecca!!! The associates directed me to the person who would be working with me to get my personal fitting, which was Master Fitter Anthony Long. To make a long story short, Anthony was great and knowledgeable! I mean this guy was full of information that was useful to me and I’m sure anyone. Anthony explain everything to me. It was a comfortable experience and well worth my time and money. The equipment/computers that he used to assist him in explaining my fitting, was more than helpful. If you have the opportunity to take a fitting, I encourage you to do so, and request Anthony Long. He will take care of you!!!

Gary Cricks was my fitter, he was absolutely fantastic to work with. He spent about 45 minutes with me, let me ask all kinds of questions about the information from my swings, and at the end, helped me find a driver that added 25 yards, and was much straighter. It was EXACTLY what I needed. He also spent time with me on an issue with my grips, and helped me pick the best ones for all my clubs. As far as price- you can't do better. I brought my old irons into the Columbia store for trade in and to pick up a different set of used irons. I was also scheduled for a club fitting session but when I was 10 minutes from the store, I received a call stating that the club fitting person wasn't able to make it. Never had a club fitting before but thought that was not acceptable to receive such a last minute notice. Should be at least 24 hour cancellation notice plus I had driven 1 hour to the store and used vacation time from my job too so I could be there during the week when there would be less traffic in the store. Anyway, found a set of irons and hit a few balls with the 7 iron when Charlie (store employee) walking by noticed the 7 iron readout on the machine. He suggested a few other clubs to try and I am glad he did that because the irons I ultimately chose, were 5+ mph faster in club speed with better results! I will still need to see how they perform on the actual golf course for me but I'm very happy Charlie was able to assist me with the purchase.

Worked with Kevin K. at a driver fitting and could not be more pleased with the results and process of the fitting. As a higher swing speed player, I have done other fittings where they sort of shrug at acceptable and do not dial in settings as you would hope. Kevin took the time to suggest heads, shafts, and reasons for their selection as well as listen to, and adjust, off of my feedback. Even though my spin rates and launch were in acceptable ranges, he was patient and expressed interest in trying to dial them in further because I was not quite locked in on feel. He did not push exotic shafts or big payment upgrades on me and that was greatly appreciated because they did not have the feel I was desiring. He made one minor adjustment to the head weighting and it ended up making a world of difference and locked in a new driver for my bag. I appreciated the effort put in by Kevin to my individual fitting and have highly recommended this store to many of my friends looking to get fit.

I came in to buy an iron set of clubs for the first time after using a mix-match of old clubs. Charlie Murphy was the instructor for my club fitting appointment. From the start he asked me about my game and what I was looking for. He started me off with a few hits to warm up. He came back with a a bunch of different club brands. We started to try them out one by one and he informed me on what each one was doing for me. He also gave me some great tips with my grip and swing which automatically fixed my swing and now I was hitting them higher, longer and most importantly straight. He was calm, informative and we had fun during the whole process. After our fitting we narrowed down on my data to figure out which club provided me with the best results. Then he also asked me which ones I liked and felt were good for me. He wasn't pushy and left the decision up to me. He also helped me stay within my budget and grabbed the clubs that related to that. He didn't try to upsell me like in other places. Charlie even grabbed my clubs and walked me to the front to make sure I was checked out correctly. I had a great experience and will recommend anyone trying to get fitted or learn more about golf clubs to go to 2nd Swing as they are the pros on this. The swing simulators are pretty awesome and show just about every aspect of your swing on the screen. Using the simulator and Gary’s experience really helped me find the right clubs to fit my swing. Went in for a fitting with David Ko and oh my goodness was I wrong! He got me dialed in on the same irons but with different specs. This was way more comfortable to hit and better performance was immediately visible comparing the two. David helped me with some issues that weren't hardware related, rather my complete lack of knowledge. I went to 2nd Swing Columbia yesterday for a Driver fitting and all the staff were extremely helpful. I'm a novice when it comes to the game of golf however I have been playing for years and developed some bad habits. My fitter, Charlie Murphy was awesome! He didn't hold back which I appreciated given that I only had an hour with him. He quickly diagnosed and assessed my swing and worked within my price range to find me a few options that would work to help improve game. In the hour time slot I was able to find both a driver and wood that felt great and that I am sure will help improve my scores. I'm actually an educator myself and often use catchy phrases to help develop muscle memory and recognition, Charlie was full of key phrases to help me remember things like proper posture and follow through. I would highly recommend a fitting at 2nd swing to anyone looking to find the best equipment to match your playing style. I am very pleased with the iron-fitting experience I had with Gary Cricks. This was a thorough fitting that included creating a baseline using my current clubs, finding the best club heads for me, choosing the correct shafts, and determining whether any adjustments need to be made to the lie angle. I had Gary’s dedicated time for a full hour. Gary is very knowledgeable and listened to my goals and concerns. He answered all my questions and provided detailed information to help me make decisions. The fitting center is well equipped. Gary sent me all the detailed information that was collected by trackman during the fitting session. I left feeling confident that I made the right purchase decision for my new iron set.

Charlie Murphy aka The John Shaft of golf was beyond amazing and professional. I was looking at a newer putter that fitted me better than what I had. He fitted me and realized that I need some changes in a few things and adjusted what I was doing wrong. He pulled out another putter and sure enough it was an amazing fit and I was sinking them in the hole one after another. Charlie seriously went beyond what he really needed to do and won me over to come back for any other golf needs. Management was also friendly too. Charlie should be commended for the professionalism and customer friendly attitude he displays. Thanks again.

Have to say, might be the best hour I have spent in a long time. Had both hands and one elbow rebuilt last year. This year had right for rebuilt and pinned together then right knee replacement in Dec. Needless to say swing and club head speed suffered. Charlie Murphy listened to everything then fitted MY EXISTING clubs. I need to get strong and back to fast before I buy a new set. He worked with my putters, got me swing the putter better and adjusted length. Then to TrackMan for irons. Assured me that they are OK for now for me, changed a few things in my swing for me to work on.. Best experience I could hope for. Will definitely go to 2ndSwing and Charlie for everything golf.
