I played during the Winter and the course was kept very good, although a lot of browns. The layouts are good, challenging, and fun. It's a mountainous course that gave a Floridian like me plenty of fun and challenge. The greens are not that good since they have some patches, are slow, and are inconsistent. Probably during regular seasons, the greens are better. The course could be expensive to play since you need to pay a $20 gate entry fee (in addition to the green fee) given that the course is inside Stone Mountain Park.

Great location very scenic however very weird course layout. Par 4 and 5 were easy but par 3 made super difficult. 10 minutes drive from hole 9 and 10. No ranger or starters so it was very slow. People was leisurely playing without any urge to vacate the hole. People were taking carts all the way to green. Greens were in bad shape due to winter. I would not pay high price to play here over weekend.

Beautiful and private view of the mountain from the golf club! It’s also very close to the park entrance so you can pull over pretty soon after getting there to see the view. You can even see the cable cars going up the mountain here.

The Stone Mountain Golf Club has been our go-to place for the last two years for our Sultans of Swing Golf Club’s semi-annual tournament. Starting with the utmost professionalism led by Brian Oliver, Glenn , Anthony, Alice & the entire crew, it’s one of the nicest experience for out of towners to feel the southern golfing hospitality. The fresh Spring grass was in great shape and the courses are scenic. It’s a place you must go to. Also, the 19th hole is well stocked with great food and service. The cart ladies were always doing the rounds to ensure you were nourished with beverages and sandwiches were also available !! Keep it up team Stone Mountain Golf Club!

We came out here on a golf trip by chance and were blown away. Both the Lake and Stone courses were beautiful and pretty tricky for mid-handicappers like us which made it fun. The entire staff took really good care of us (especially Alice!), and we loved it so much that we came back again the next day to the same great service and experience. 10/10 would recommend and I'll definitely make another trip up this way in the future.

Probably the best the golf course around! Lake mount is challenging but very fun! Cart girls were available atleast 6 times throughout the day! Highly recommended! Also, Alice absolutely crushed the customer service! Cleaned my club at the end and added some fun banter with us!! Highly recommended course!! We will be back at least 1-2 times a month!

Played Lakemont today; and while conditions always vary, there were some greens where we had to move the ball to avoid the areas where water and sun had obliterated and destroyed the greens, killing grass and/or letting the crabgrass thrive. Well drained greens were fine, over half, but seasonal rain made its mark. Wonderful layout and very fair and consistent with nice variety in holes and green approaches.

Wonderful bar and restaurant area. Classy and laid back at the same time. Has fire places, pool table, wonderful staff (Beth is incredibly nice) and also has a great view of the lake and mountain.

I loved it! Quite beautiful setting, with Stone Mountain in the background, the course is really well maintained. You can hardly see any damage from the recent storm. Great! Each course has its own challenge. The only thing that could be improved just a bit is the speed of the greens, that are quite slow, although very well maintained as well. Great place to play golf!

I played the Stonemont course and it was decent. There were a couple of nice views of the mountain. There were a couple of greens that looked like they were under repair. I was annoyed that I thought I was getting a 25 dollar round which is what I feel this course was worth but instead I was greeted with a 20 dollar parking fee at the gate. I could've found a nicer 45 dollar course if I was looking to spend that much. Had I not taken advantage of a hot deal on golf now the entire round would've been more. I know I won't be frequenting this course given the additional parking fee!

Very convenient for those that live in the metro Atlanta area. I live in east lake, so 20-25 min drive. Staff super friendly, restaurant and golf shop great. Layout of the course is fantastic - lots of rolling hills, hitting balls above/below your feet, and if you're not in the fairway, it's not easy! I played Stonemont yesterday and it's challenging for sure. The fairways and most tee boxes are in excellent shape. The greens however need work! Not sure if they're in the process of redoing them. Holes 1, 11 and maybe one other were alright, but I'd say that's my only criticism. Otherwise spectacular views of Stone Mountain. Lakemont is also a great course. Both quite challenging from any tee box (I'm a 25 handicap, usually play from 6100)

I played this course many years ago. It was always impeccable. Having said that, let me address some of the bad reviews. I manage an 18 hole golf course up in Southern Illinois. We have bentgrass greens also. The weather we have experienced this spring and summer has proven to be a monumental task to all golf course superintendents. We have lost turf on some of our greens as well. We are taking appropriate measures to rectify these problems i.e. coring, seeding, fertilizing etc. This has been a terrible weather-related season in the Midwest as well as the South These situations are out of our control, until mother nature starts cooperating. And yes I can assure you the courses and supers are well aware of the conditions. We see it everyday.

We had the pleasure of playing Lakemont on Sunday and the course is very nice. I love the Dog legs and the Rocks around the course but the greens on the front 9 were in bad shape for the price to park along with green fees. They need some food on the back 9 but other than that we had a great time. This was the most golf balls I have ever found that were not mine!!! #integrityairatl #milliondollarinspector

You don’t normally think February golf but in Georgia anything is possible. Before we even teed it up at Stone Mountain we were greeted with a smile and a helping hand from Alice. She took our bags and belongings and pointed us in the right direction. After the magnificent round, course was tough but beautiful, we were once again greeted by Alice who was sweet enough to give me a ride back to my car to send me on my way. It’s service like that from Alice and everyone at the course that will keep me coming back. Cheers.

One of the best golf venues in Georgia. The bag drops attendants are so nice and very helpful. Especially Alice and Anthony. Also...They have 2 beautiful courses to choose. Enjoy your golfing.

I golf here regularly and both courses are beautiful and challenging. The clubhouse staff is excellent. A always courteous and helpful. The food is delicious, too!! I highly recommend this facility!!!!!

Course was in decent condition, but practice facilities were closed. The bad part? You have to still pay the $20 entrance fee to the park even if you have a tee time. So keep that in mind when you book a tee time, the round will cost more than you're thinking. Also, we only saw the cart girl once the entire round and that was the first hole.

Great quality courses with interesting features. Staff is also nice. Just be warned that it’s an extra $20 to park on top of your greens fees since this is behind the Stone Mountain gates…

Can't say rough good about it. Course was wonderful to play. Unfortunately the other golfers are rude as hell out your shooter than then. It's like they are better than everyone else. However that's not stone mountains fault....that's Judy people in general. Great course.

Played the Stonemont side and was one of the best layouts I have played. Very challenging course. The natural beauty is awesome. Very challenging. Call beforehand to check course conditions, etc. Greens a bit slow but that will get better. Very well staffed and run by Marriott so excellent service. Yes there is a $20 fee to enter the park.

Played the Stonemount course and was very impressed with layout. Very narrow and challenging which was a lot of fun. However the greens were in terrible condition. More sand than grass because they are trying to rejuvenate them. There is a $20 fee to enter the park that is not associated with the course but the view of the Stone Mountain throughout the round is worth it

The food is excellent. Every time we go to Stone Mountain we go here to eat It is not only the best restaurant in Stone Mountain but it is one of the best in the whole metro area. Everything we have ever had is excellent. The French dip is killer. The grouper sandwich is awesome. The steak salad is fabulous. If you are in Stone Mountain do yourself a favor and eat at the golf course restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

This is a go to course in Atlanta. Both courses are nice, Lakemont or Stonemont. Only a few cart path only holes. Play can be slow, but the rangers are present. The grill has great food to pick up at the turn :)

Very nice place. Wonderful views. Wonderful walking trails. The Marriott there is one of my favorite resort hotels. Multiple swimming pools and hot tub jacuzzi's . Great food in great restaurants. Very quiet. Can't wait to get back there again.

Property and greens , beautiful. Restaurant has a few issues- service was slow and seemed confused. Prices very high for motel style service and food. We shared a plate of fried green tomatoes and fried chicken- Total of five slices of tomatoes and one piece of fried chicken$25.00 Food was good and for a light meal, filling. Took 20 min to order after 20 min of waiting for server to bring water and take order. Property was very nice in an urban mountain design. Clean in a hotel property type of design.

Great course. Great layout. Played the lakemount course and it's tons of fun. Like most reviews I have also have to say the greens are rough. Takes a bit away from.the course but it's still very fun and awesome course. Recommended if in town.

I haven't had the opportunity to play the Lake course yet but the mountain course is always very nice. It has a nice combination of open holes and narrow holes. There are great views of Stone Mountain all the way around the course.

We absolutely adored our experience on both courses but if you only have time for one, choose Lakemont. The staff was helpful and friendly. Beautiful facilities and the cart girl were a nice added touch.

BE AWARE: There is a $20 non-refundable "parking fee" to enter Stone Mountain to get to the golf course. The pro-shop does not tell you prior to booking a tee-time. Even with a golf reservation, you still have to pay the parking fee. Beautiful course, but the greens need to be tended to.

Great track with some challenging holes but greens are impeccable right now, one putted half the holes. We played the Lakemont course, they have 2 courses here. Fairly easy course overall but very beautiful. I have not played the Stonemont track.

After playing this course last Saturday all I can say is wow and be prepared to loose some balls. What a beautiful course design with some very interesting holes. But that being said I was very surprised that the greens where in such bad shape. Half dead, hard, divots every where, a few times I had to move my ball on the green in order to put because there was laid sod that had the corners rolled up and dirt exposed in my way. Over all great experience but if I had paid full price I would have been pretty upset at the green conditions as this course is normally 62.00. but over all great experience will defiantly be back.

Course (Lakemont) was in decent shape given the heat / lack of rain the past 2 weeks. Greens were still healing from recent aeration so a bit bumpy, but playable. All in all, an enjoyable round!

Some of the reviews on here don't do the course justice. They have recently replaced greens on Lakemont and they are in phenomenal shape. Stonemont is the premier course and is in absolutely perfect condition. Definitely will recommend to all my friends!

I've played both the Lakemont and Stonemont courses at a number of different times over the past few years. Both courses have always been in good condition and the staff was nice and helpful. Add to that the fact that it's only a few minutes from the house and you've got my favorite courses. You have to pay to get in the park so add that to the total cost. I have friends from up north that come down specifically to play gold and we typically end up here. Every time they've been happy with the condition as well as the cost. Lakemont is more scenic but Stonemont is more "technical". If you only play one, make it Lakemont and save Stonemont for the next trip.

The Stone Mtn is great to sightseeing in the park, my kids love it. This is alot easier to near the our home city because we not have to drive far distance to find a place like S.M. secondly, honest, I'm too lazy to drive far distance from my home
