Reviews of Reems Creek Golf Club
Nicole Nicholson
My hubby (who is a Golf Addict) and I have visited Reems Creek for the past year and a half when we visit from FL, and last week we took the leap and became Members! We are so excited to be part of a family that is so warm and welcoming! Thank you for providing us with a space that is a piece of heaven!! We are also excited to belong to the Social club having pool fun and pickle ball fun as well!!! The clubhouse is gorgeous inside as well! TEN TEN WINS!!! Thank You Summer and Pam for this slice of Heaven. Thank you Nancy and the rest of the gang for being so Awesome and welcoming!
Josh Highnote
What a fantastic golf course! I thought the views couldn’t be beat until the lads and I met the owners, GM and amazing staff on the turn. Customer experience is priority #1 at this club. Awesome staff, fresh food, and cold drinks…. The best! Can’t wait to return.
Art Pellerin
Very nice mountain side golf course! Reasonable green fees, well taken care of. Fun elevation changes. Food in club house is very good. First time playing this course, Starter gave some good insight on what to expect. Would definitely visit again!!

Picturesque setting to say the least. Came up here for my brother's bachelor trip and glad we booked a round here. Course was very challenging but will reward you with plenty of birdie opportunities as it yielded 5 on our team. Greens rolled very true and course was in immaculate condition to be late January. The philly cheese-steak was out of bounds and scrumptious. The southern hospitality here was at it's finest. We will definitely be booking another round up here next time we're back in the Asheville/Weaverville area.
Shannon Shelton
Maintained ok, not spetacular like a good private facility. Decent semi-private level.
Layout is challenging because you have to know exact distances and what clubs to hit. First time playing the course was difficult because I had no idea where to aim what distance to hit even using a rangefinder I didn't know in what spot I should land my tee shot. Several short holes but that's ok because if you use driver you're not going to be in optimal position to attack pin.
Greens were very smooth.
Clubhouse has a great modern decor to it. Staff was friendly enough.
Only issue is the price. $75 is way too much for this place. I won't be back just because of that. I had a voucher I won at another golf tournament and enjoyed my round but no way would I pay more then $45 at the premium rack rate to play this place. Not really a bad course. If it were $45 you'd at least feel ok playing it twice or so a year but at $75 you're left dissapointed.

We joined this golf club earlier in the year. The staff and members make it easy to get involved in the activities, leagues and the social environment. This is not like many other country clubs. It is friendly, welcoming, inclusive and just plain fun. In six short months, we have great friends and are truly part of a larger community. BTW, the course is in immaculate condition - with challenging greens and elevations, beautiful mountain views every place that you turn. Put this on your bucket list!

This course was exactly what we were looking for. Coming from wilmington where it's flat, we wanted elevated tees and mountainous tree lined fairways. Super challenging, well kept greens, and beautiful views. Challenging. As a 7.8 I shot 10 over.
Met Summer, the owner, because she made it a point to come over to our table to greet us while we had a drink looking over the 18th. Loved it!
Kyle Peterson
Awesome course!! Staff & owner were very accommodating to say the least! Will be back to play here. Highly recommend.
JOAN FRIEDMAN
Great golf course, nice swimming pool, well managed and friendly. Inexpensive to be a member,I highly recommend joining this club if you like golf or swimming and soon a brand new pickle ball court.
Bryan Duff
Great conditions on a summer day. Greens are soft and well maintained. Fantastic views and plenty of open areas between holes. Lots of elevation change and some interesting fairway setups for hitting blindly off the tee box. GPS golf carts help with ranging the pin and ordering food. Will be back.
Amanda Crandall
My husband and I played the Reems Creek course on our recent vacation to Asheville. The course was beautiful, the greens were well-kept, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We found the greens fee and cost for rental clubs to be quite reasonable compared to other courses we have played. It was an expansive 18-hole course - the fairways were wide so that you never felt like you were doubling back on players at an adjacent hole. The sand traps were well maintained too (unfortunately we both got to appreciate them). There was no beverage cart due to COVID restrictions, but the GPS in the cart provided the number for the clubhouse as we arrived at the 9th hole so we placed a lunch order and it was ready for us to pick up as we continued on to the 10th (the food was excellent too!). We had a great time and highly recommend Reems Creek to fellow travelers who aren’t from the area and are looking for a great round of golf.

Came here for a bachelor party weekend. The course is in great shape, Incredible views, and quite literally the most accommodating staff I’ve ever experienced. They went above and beyond to make this a great memory for us. This course is an absolute MUST if you are planning to play in the area.
Graig Fisher
We had an awesome time at Reems Creek yesterday afternoon. The course was in great shape from tee to green. The greens were in perfect shape and ran quick for this time of year. The family that runs this place were very hospitable. They made our visit! We will definitely return when we’re back in Asheville!
Jason Fair (Nomadic Nerd Project)
We stayed here through Harvest Hosts and loved it. Course looks amazing. Weather prevented play, but we will definitely be back. The owners are so nice. The location on the blue ridge mohtnains makes for one of the prettiest courses I've ever seen.
graig fisher
Wonderful time! This golf course was amazing! The people and staff were so friendly and helpful. I had the best experience taking my 3 sons of varying golf experience. Both the seasoned golfers and the amateurs can enjoy what Reems Creek has to offer. I will come back in the summer for another round.

Played out here on Thursday as part of a bachelor party and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. From the moment we stepped on the property the man working the bag drop met us in the parking lot to help us with our clubs, the woman behind the desk checking everyone in welcomed us and got to know us, and the bar/restaurant staff was quick and efficient!
The course itself was a ton of fun, and really felt like mountain golf. If you’re in the area you have to check this place out!
Rusty Mau
Under new ownership, Reems Creek is in the best condition I have seen it on over 5 years. They have moved tee times to 15 minute increments, thereby speeding up pace (less waiting!) and improving the overall experience. I was thoroughly impressed with the management team and can't wait to get back!
Jay Fisher
An absolute must play golf course! The course was in great condition and very well maintained. Staff was extremely accommodative and hospitable from the moment we got there!
Miles Kuluvar
Great course in wonderful condition. Be prepared for a pretty good workout if you’re walking as every hole has a good bit of elevation change
Mike Urbaitis
What a fun and challenging course! The rapidly changing elevation on every hole more than makes up for the slightly shorter than average yardage. In fact, it actually makes it more exciting as you can take some high risk shots that could have big rewards. But the mountain-style course isn't the only great thing about Reems Creek. The entire team ensures that you have a memorable experience from the first tee to the nineteenth. From the co-owners to the starters to the clubhouse team, everyone provided a first class level of hospitality that I rarely experience at a golf course. I cannot recommend Reems Creek highly enough!!
Zack Graves
Great course. We’ll kept and pretty challenging but fun. Great views and awesome staff. Highly recommend.
Chris Sommer
Reems Creek Golf Course was an amazing experience. We had a large group so I called a few weeks in advance to set up tee times. Shayna was extremely helpful and communicative during the whole process. Together we found a block of tee times that worked well for us and got us situated with some rental clubs. The course itself was beautiful and kept in very good condition. Summer, the owner, came out to greet us and brought some amazing energy to our day. Would highly recommend!
Brandon Hutson
Been coming here annually for many years now. Making the trip from Greenville. The course is in great shape. Disappointed the range wasn't in better shape. Too expensive to be hitting only irons off of dirt.
Bruce Cooperman
Nice, quiet golf course with outdoor driving rage. Course is generally in good shape and Diane, the Golf Pro is terrific.
Matt L
Great course. They take care of the greens. Reasonably priced. Decent fairway. Picturesque. Great mountain veiws.
Michael Persinger
Beautiful course we had a great time playing in a group, they treated us very well!
Matthew Reiter
Great course with fantastic upgrades to the grounds and club house. The length on the scorecard doesn’t show the unique challenges the course presents. It’s fun but different. Customer service was a highlight across the board. Food at the turn was a surprise over most courses. I didn’t try but ask for a Cap’N’Crunch drink - Summer recommends it
hweeter27
An absolutely gorgeous and fun course. Challenging greens and elevation changes. The course is beautifully maintained and the staff treats you like family. I’d play here everyday if I were a local!
Gus Sommer
Summer and her staff were unbelievable. We had a very large group and they did not bat an eye. Would recommend the course (in fantastic shape) and the experience for anyone in or traveling to the Asheville, NC area. Five stars.
Steven Lloyd
This place is an amazing secret that everybody needs to know about. The golf course is tremendous. I would give it five stars. The restaurant is quaint, the fruit is great, and the staff is really friendly and fun. Fun. Give it a shot. He'll love it! Best kept secret in the Asheville North Carolina area
Eric Freeman
As many have already stated, the course is beautiful, great setting. But what impressed me the most was the staff, most notably the owners. We had a group of 6 from out of town. Both owners made it a point to introduce themselves, share some tips on the course, and made us feel extremely welcome. Excellent course, excellent service, and superb ownership. The fireball shot also helped!!!
Paul Keller
Great course! The greens were in excellent shape. Fairways were lush and the views spectacular. Stopped for lunch on the patio overlooking the course. Owners stopped out to visit with us. Very friendly and a great way to end a wonderful day of golf!!
Patricia Hewitt
Great course. Very challenging with changing terrain. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Reasonable rates.
ryan czyz
Staff is first rate. Course is interesting layout. Conditions even for October golf are mediocre. Pace of play is ridiculously slow. 60 minutes to play 3 holes on the back. And yes... I am posting this mid round. They need a ranger to keep pace of play up.
GolfCrusade DotCom
Making strides from what it sounds like. Personally have played nearly everywhere in the area and this is a really solid public course that won’t break the bank.
Daniel Bober
The course was extremely well maintained, appropriately challenging, and the clubhouse was immaculate. Staff hospitality: unparalleled. Summer was an epic host. Fantastic experience, you should definitely golf here.
Jeff Castello
Reems Creek is a beautiful course to play. The mountain view alone are amazing. We were a group of 11 that were in town for a bachelor party and the people and staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, Pam and Nancy especially! This was most definitely a place we will be returning too.
Lucille Librizzi
Reems Creek Golf course is a beautiful course. Challenging play with great views. The owners are local and usually on site. Staff is attentive, polite and eager to please.
The club house has a friendly neighborhood feel and the outside dining area has stunning views.
Food is exceptional. I had the charcuterie board with generous portions of meats, cheese, olives and other goodies. My drink of choice was the “transfusion”... first time trying this refreshing combo of ginger ale, vodka and cranberry juice.
Overall an exceptionally enjoyable experience and a definite return visit on my calendar.
Philip DeBiasi
The golf course is beautiful and in pristine shape. The greens are excellent there is a lot of undulation and it is perfectly manicured. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. We had about 4 groups for a wedding and they couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming!
Pete Kane
Greens in great shape with nice fairways. The weekend greens fee at $42 is very reasonable. I liked the design and would be back again.
glenn george
The entire staff was focused on the golfer having a great day and the course kept your interest with great vistas and challenging layout. Well placed hazards, elevation changes and multi level greens kept one focused. A delightful day on a well maintained gem of a course at a bargain price. The golf gods were smiling
Laurel Hollow
Course is in great condition with many challenging holes and a beautiful setting. Clubhouse looks recently remodeled and is well staffed. Met one of the owners who was very welcoming and informative. Can’t wait to go back!
Paul Walker
One of the best golf experiences any level golfer could get. Fantastic course, exceptional clubhouse and food was some of the best turn dogs I’ve ever had. The owners really care about the course and your time out there.
JT Cuomo
Amazing course in beautiful condition. Incredibly friendly owners, general manager, and staff. A must play course.
Nancy Board
This course was super beautiful, challenging with the elevation changes, very woman friendly, nice clubhouse layout, just awesome staff!!! Put it on your bucket list!!
Brian Simpkins
The course is in excellent shape and the service was par none. Thanks to Pam and Summer
Brooks Demarais
Perfect bachelor party golf experience for all golf skills. Playable for high handicaps with many unique hole designs single digit players will enjoy. Extremely good value. Tons of local craft beers and amazing food - highly recommend the steak sandwich. More importantly, just an extremely fun and welcoming place - owners, managers and staff are awesome. We had a group of 18, and everyone at Reem’s treated us like family. Cannot recommend it enough. Highlight of the bachelor party weekend.
Matthew
Very disappointed, let me further explain. I started playing Reems Creek in 1994 and it served as my home course for 15 years. During that time the original owners kept the course in very good to excellent condition. The fairways where plush the rough even, the greens consistent, and the bunkers manicured with pretty white sand. Then the course was sold to warrior golf and the downward spiral began. With this new owner I heard they where investing in improvements. The problem is the improvements they are making isn’t where I would personally have liked to see them. It’s all centered around service, the pho country club experience. For some people I’m sure that matters, and I did appreciate the 15 minute spacing between tee times but the course conditioning was really no better than what it had been under warrior golf. Additionally numerous bunkers had been removed that not only hurt the appearance of the course but the playability of the course as well. I know bunkers are a very expensive maintenance issue but they simply removed to many of the important ones.

This course outshot my expectations on so many levels. Incredibly nice staff and great facilities. Green fees are incredibly reasonable for how nice the course is kept. Great views and fun/difficult holes with a variety so you don't feel like your playing the same hole over and over again. Came of here with a wedding group and renting clubs/checking in was a breeze as well. Can't say enough about how great this course was and would definitely come back when I'm in the area.
Candice Horvath
Great course! We played Reems Creek in early August 2020 and loved it. The course is in great shape. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The owners were absolutely delightful. We were inspired to play the course after reading about their decision to take on a complete renovation to bring the course back to thriving. They have certainly succeeded! The course delivered a fun and fair test. The renovated clubhouse is beautiful and the post round burger and pint were on point. We'll play it again next time we are in the area!

This is an update of my review from last year. Since the course is five minutes from where we are staying, we wanted to give it another try. I had also read the excellent reviews since the new ownership. I now believe it is worthy of five stars. The course was in great shape. The greens were excellent. Some of the tee boxes have been moved up for ladies, making it friendlier. New golf carts, with GPS. Tee times at 15 minute intervals, no waiting, no pushing. Great pace! The clubhouse has been redone. It’s a beautiful spot with a great views! Very friendly staff! We are returning in a few days and bringing friends. It is now a bargain at $50.00!

Wow is the word. Gorgeous back drop. Great golf course!! Best experience I have had as a golfer!! Met the owners, Summer & Pam. Enjoyed the conversation and will come back as soon as I’m in the area again.
Hank Grubin
We had a large wedding group playing a round and we had the most enjoyable experience. The course is very fun and well maintained. Renting clubs was a seamless experience and Summer even drove a few of us back to our hotel because Lyft and Uber were unavailable. Great course and the best staff!
George Rauh
We have golfed this course every summer when we have come and stayed at our cabin. We always enjoyed the course. It was a good course the the money. I heard that the course was sold and was looking forward to golfing it. The clubhouse was very nice but the course was in terrible shape. Sinkhole, fairways had growth and grass in them. Very disappointed plus they raised thier rates. I will not golf there again. I do not recommend this course
Patrick Murtagh
This is such a beautiful course! Can't wait to come back again!!!
Steve Huffman
I played here today. I absolutely love this course. A challenging layout but very fair. I’m visiting the area with family and Reems is only 10 minutes from where we’re staying. So glad we chose to play here. It was our first time playing the course but others told us the new owners have improved things dramatically since taking over in January. Workers are very friendly. Greens and fairways great. I can’t brag enough.
Luke Canan
We were in town for a wedding and wanted to get a round of golf in the day before the ceremony. Reems Creek hosted our group of 16 and were extremely welcoming and considerate. We rolled up basically at our tee time so I can't comment on the driving range, but I hit a few putts and while the practice green still had morning dew covering it, it rolled true and was in great shape. The course itself was a lot of fun. Extremely quirky and, quite frankly, a little confusing if it is your first time seeing it. The first hole is a fairly straightforward short par 4, but the course makes a noticeable change starting on hole 2. The tee shot is dramatically down hill and the sharp dogleg left with trees and houses guarding the left side make for a difficult shot to visualize. A recurring theme I noticed for the course is that the prudent shot off tees is usually a long iron or hybrid, but it is possible to hit driver if you're willing to to take a non traditional line. Taking the gamble of hitting drive pays off on 2 (even if there are signs suggesting you don't unless you'd like to pay to replace a window!), if you are able to find the fairway and leave yourself a short wedge. Similarly challenging tee shots are found on holes 4, 5, 7 & 9. The back 9 felt very different as the landscape seemed to open up and play more in front of you. The par 5s offered unique challenges as most of them featured short strips of fairways with steep inclined sections of rough between them. This forced you to either play target golf, or attempt to overpower and potentially play from the thick rough. The par 3s were interesting and challenging. 14 was notable for its extremely tight tee shot with trees guarding either side. We relaxed on the spacious and shaded patio after our round and enjoyed a bite and several cold beverages. An enjoyable experience at Reems Creek and will visit again the next time I am in the Asheville area.

I was in town for a bachelor weekend with some buds and ran into one of the owners of the place. She was super outgoing and inviting, obviously very passionate and wanted to make sure everyone was enjoying their outing. The course was in great shape despite recent heavy rains and some minor construction. I’d highly recommend this course!
Jonathan Thomason
Beautiful views, amazing hospitality, and fun layout. A must if you visit the Asheville area.
Connor Demarais
A group of 20+ of us played a round here for my bachelor party. I can't say enough about how accommodating the staff was. They blocked off times for five groups, prepped meals / drinks at the turn, gave out free ball mark souvenirs, and bought us a few rounds after 18. We had an absolute blast - great course, food, and people
Connie Bones
It is under new ownership and management. Club house has been nicely updated and rehabbed. Everyone from starter to bartender and even the house dog were friendly, helpful and kind. The whole Covid thing was handled without any undue shaming or bother. Course was in a full rehab. Soggy from 102 inches of rain (mid September when we played). Can't control the weather. Get your goat on! Big elevation changes, so if you don't hit it straight, bahhhhhh! The course rule was 15 minute separation of tee times. This was great! Allowed plenty of time for players particularly seniors, beginners and just plain duffers to find their respective balls in the high grass and various hazards. Only problem we had was the grounds crew forgot to replace the red tee markers on some holes; so finding the tee box for my friend was a challenge. Otherwise, I look forward to next year when the actual tees, fairways, bunkers and other "ground under repair" have time to recoup and rejuvenate.
Alan Knudsen
I had low expectations coming to Reems Creek today. I expected GPS on carts, and the same poorly maintained golf course. Boy was I surprised! The new owners have sunk HUGE $$ into the course, the clubhouse, and the carts, and they are on site nurturing the customer experience to the max.
The old Reems Creek is gone. A lot of the bunkers are being filled in and re-seeded, and new flat bunkers that actually make sense have replaced them. The fairways are now mowed in a cross hatched pattern that allow the golfer to see the target area. The greens are smooth and consistent. I'd like them a bit faster, but they are great to play on.
The layout is challenging for the first time through the course. But it's plenty of golf course to hold your interest and make you want to have another crack at it.
You won't recognize the clubhouse. It's gone from "1985 neglected and beat" motif to a 2020 space that is inviting and warm. Big screen TV's and double sided fireplace. Have a beer, sit down, and enjoy the views.
Want to play golf for $20 including a cart, free beer and a hot dog? Then this isn't your place. You can't invest this much capital and do Golf Now Hot Deals. But the Reems Creek card for $69 gets me a free round of golf, and then $40 rounds with cart on weekdays and $48 on the weekends. Which is pricing I'm OK with given that it is now a very good golf experience.
The new owners are a God send. They have established 15 minute tee time spacing to maximize the experience and space out play. Plus a new Director of Golf coming on board in May who appears to be a solid teacher with great credentials. My only regret in writing this review is that more people will find out about this gem and make it tougher for me to get a tee time.
Abby Sorensen
Awesome layout with and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Each hole has tons of character and reminded me of Gleneagles Kings Course in Scotland. Lots of doglegs and elevation changes kept things interesting. The course is under new ownership and from we could see they are doing a fantastic job getting back in good shape. Once the course has some time to come back to shape it will be truly stunning. Don't listen to the reviews complaining about the course condition, just roll the ball and keep it in the fairway and you'll be fine! Our group had golfers from NY and PA and we thoroughly enjoyed our day here.
Everyone on staff was super friendly and welcoming, from the owners to the starter. We enjoyed learning a bit about the course's recent history and future plans. Reems Creek also had the best COVID protocols of any course I've played in 2020, everyone was in masks (our bartender washed her hands AND put gloves on before mixing an excellent margarita at the turn). The clubhouse is gorgeous and newly renovated. The $50 to ride 18 was more than reasonable...the day before we played here we paid $150 to play the Omni Grove Park Inn and would play Reems Creek 10 times over before going back to the Omni and their less-than-friendly staff.
I'd definitely recommend playing up a set of tees as the course plays longer with many approach shots drastically uphill. I played college golf and play 5-6 days a week and still needed to move up a set on the back, swallow your pride and move up!
Mark Yeterian
Had a fantastic experience at Reems Creek with a wedding party! The course was beautiful and in amazing shape! Golf carts were updated with gps which was very help as the course has lots of rolling hills. No hole was the same which made it incredibly challenging and fun coming from the west coast. Getting through check in and renting clubs for a party of our size was a breeze! If you are staying in Asheville or around the area definitely come and play this course, it will exceed your expectations. The staff and owner were amazing too! Can’t say enough good things about the kind service that we received ! We were having a tough time getting an Uber or a Lyft for our ride back to Asheville and summer the owner gave us a ride!
Rich Allen
Great course and customer service. Picture holes. So much fun.
Story Cosgrove
Wow, cannot recommend enough, all-around excellent course and clubhouse. Great value and a great product all around. The food is great the drinks are great the staff is really friendly. That’s importantly the course is excellent.
Justin Ballard
Nice little golf course tucked away in the hills. The greens are a bit rough but prices are decent.
Michael Rogers
Course is in really good shape! From Tee Times to departure the Pro Shop, the Grill, the Owners and Management, Rangers and Course Maintenance Staff all are always extremely accommodating and hospitable!
Bryan Burleson
Has had a lot of work done, great carts, club house and pro shop was very nice, very nice and helpful staff, hadn't played here in 3 to 4 years. Nice driving range. Did feel as far as the actual course was a little expensive
Robert P DiBenedetto
Beautiful golf course, staff, and owners! We had a big group (6 tee times) and it was so fun and easy. Can’t wait to go back!
Sarah Siegel
The most challenging course we've ever played. Gorgeous. Friendly and flexible staff, too.
Edward Rothberg
Played this beautiful course last year while the owners were in bankruptcy. Obviously, maintenance left a lot to be desired. The golf course was sold to a new owner out of the bankruptcy. The course conditions and maintenance are near perfect. Last year, the course had old, noisy gasoline carts without governors which can be pretty scary on a very hilly course.. The new owner put in a fleet of brand new quiet, battery powered carts with governors and GPS. Some other reviewer complained about the price. I don't know what he was thinking. $50 for a course as nice as this is very reasonable. Just as nice as Grove Park which is $140. This is now my home course when in the Asheville area.
Greg MFash
Played this course for 20+ years. It has never been better, Owners are local and absolutely wonderful. The staff goes out of their way to make sure all expectations are exceeded. Course is amazing and club house has great food. Get the onion rings!!!!!! Can't wait to play again.
Terry Yeager
Since the new owners took over, the course is so much better. The restaurant is vastly improved, the staff is great. My only complaint is you have to be a member in order to play just nine holes. I would golf there more often if I could just do nine.
Jerry Haft
I enjoyed a round of golf at Reems Creek Golf Club a couple of weeks ago during a weekday visit with my brother from California.. The golf club is located close to the town of Weaverville and is easy to access from the city of Asheville where I reside. Reems Creek Golf Club seems to be well operated and the starter was precise in getting us out on time. The course itself is well maintained with respect to the fairways, traps and rolling greens. The layout is not significantly wooded, thankfully, and play seemed to progress at a decent pace. What really set this course apart from others I have played are the hills it is built upon. I am used to playing in upstate New York, and we certainly have are share of hilly golf treks. However when you put the word hilly into context of this course, suffice to say mountainous may be more appropriate. Although the course was not long in length it was quite difficult to measure the distance of your shot. Despite having GPS distance locaters mounted in our cart, uphill shots sometimes required a three or four club adjustment from what you would experience under typical course conditions. The back nine seemed to be steeper then the front side, but both sides offered a fair and test of your golfing skills. This is definitely one course you may need to play a few times to master both the layout intricacies and somewhat tricky greens.
Despite any comments which might be interpreted by my comments above, I really enjoyed my round of golf. I do look forward to returning in the future and can recommend the course to someone who enjoys a complete test of ones golf skills.
Christy Todd
Very nice course with affordable rate an the views are spectacular!
Justin Anderson
Came here with some buddies from out of town and could not have been more impressed with the course and ownership. Beautiful land, up and down fun course, and greens were in incredible condition. Very fair rates for the course, Summer the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Great course, great people, next time we are in the area we will be back!!
Michael Huber
Stopped in on Labor Day to hear hear a really good band. I will be going back on Saturday as that is the night they have live music weekly
Tami Stewart
Very quiet when we visited. Great mountain views. Small menu but reasonably priced. Enjoyed a salad with grilled chicken & a grilled hotdog with everything and beer battered onion rings.
Service was great.
Jim Parrington
Wow, what a great course. In from Hampstead NC for the weekend and it was so much fun to play on a course in such great shape. The course just flat schooled me. Used to hitting driver or 3W off the tee at home & not realizing how this course layout with the elevation & blind tee shots was a hint to keep the driver in the bag. Learned a thing or two about powering down & hitting landing spots. I’ll be back & can’t wait to apply some hard lessons learned. Playing this course was a bucket list type experience. Staff was awesome! I forgot to mention when I wrote the original review: greens are amazing & large. Lots of movement & need to take time to think about each putt.

It’s an impressive course and difficult layout—for me playing Reems Creek is a special occasion. It will challenge any golfer. If you can legitimately break 100 here, you’re a good player. This is target golf, with lots of elevation changes and uneven lies. You won’t hit too many drivers here. New gps carts were a great touch. Friendly folks, too.
Unfortunately the condition of the turf has worsened quite dramatically this year due to an abundance of rain. Ground Under repair all over the place. Cart paths are in very poor shape. Sand in bunkers full of rocks and raked improperly. Hope they can get it together on the groundskeeping side of things.

We love the Reems Creek Golf Club under their new management. Such a great group of folks. The course is great and the grill has wonderful food and drinks. You do not have to be a member to play golf or eat at grill, but they're such great people you'll want to join.

I only used the driving range, and I am just a flatland hick, but it was the best pure driving range experience of my golf life. It is a simple range, no fancy flourishes to the box itself, but what is unique (to me at least being from Oklahoma) is that the range is a giant 70 foot hill that you plow balls into. Something about getting zero rollout that can really push you to hit bigger drives. Me and my non-golfing friend had a good time, but I don’t think the guy who lived nearby liked my friend unintentionally chunking ball after ball at his house. I didn’t play the course as I had two in the area already picked out (Grove Park and Mt Mitchell), but it looked nice and def will when I go back.

I almost didn't play here after reading some of the lackluster reviews. This place is a little slice of heaven. Excellently maintained and courteous and friendly staff. Yes it's been raining lately and there are some muddy low-lying areas but they've done the best they can to mitigate it. Reasonably priced with properly staggered tee times and all covid precautions in place. Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely coming back.
Austin Sullivan
Pros: Layout, views, GPS in carts, greens weren’t bad, staff very friendly, especially Mike the starter.
Cons: The tee boxes and the fairways were in disarray. I’m not sure I’ve seen a course in worse shape. I understand though that there’s been a lot of rain in the area which would prohibit regular maintenance so I didn’t dock all the way.
Kathy Nalven
This is a spectacular and challenging course. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and more than helpful.
If you are in the area do not miss the Reems Creek experience!

Came in for a bachelor party and had a great time! Course was wet due to heave rain night before but still it great shape. Has some confusion because we had 5 people on one team but he wasn't golfing. The owner went out of her way to apologize. Will be back for sure when down that way!

Meant to add this when I originally gave the 5 stars- Staff was awesome from the bag drop to the grill. I always appreciate a friendly starter, and Reems Creek had the nicest around. The course was in great shape and the group I was with had an insanely good time!
Vance Harrell
We got off the Blue Ridge Parkway and within a few minutes we were tee’n off this beautiful course. The staff was very pleasant and the views were amazing. We were really glad to find this golfing gem near Asheville.
ian smith
Great Staff....very accommodating for our small homecoming tournament, course in great shape.....
Juan J Colmenero
The course was very well maintained. My friends and I met Summer who apparently is the new owner! we were able to talk to her and she is what makes this course great! The views and assortment of animals wondering around were a plus.
Doug Walker
Played there today great course one the best I've played recently rates are very reasonable and course makes you plan your shots. Spoke with one of the owners about how great shape the course was in and stated they are making changes daily. Can't wait to come back and play staff was super nice.
Brad Vale
Reems Creek was fantastic. The fairways were in great shape, the green were very nice and the pace of play was nice. NOTE: a twosome sent out behind a foursome is going to wait. Get used to it. You're welcome to play through if you ask or are invited. Otherwise, be patient, enjoy the day and relax. Don't hit into the group in front of you, that does no one any good.
Michael Robinson
I've played the course many times over the past two seasons and am encouraged that the condition (particularly dealing with historic water management problems on low lying holes) has improved dramatically). I am still not a fan of the target golf (irons off the tee) on most of the par 4's on the front side, but the greens are good and consistent and the overall condition of the course is very good compared to others in the Asheville area right now. If Warrior would approve a budget for fixing (or eliminating some of the impossible to maintain) sand traps, it would be one of the best public courses in the area IMO.

I played the last round of 2019 at Reems Creek and learned that the course was recently purchased. As I went from one whole to the next I was amazed that this jewel of a mountain course was so below the radar. My concern was that although it was not in top condition who purchased the course? To my relief at the end of the round I learned that golfers purchased the course and are interested in restoring this gem. I was so delighted as I am moving to Asheville in the coming year and will make this course my go to Links. Thanks and I look forward to adding that final star to this track.
Kenneth Pace
Course is beautiful and well manicured. Bring your"A" game. Staff is great. Asia is a great bartender

Amazing facelift on many fronts with the Reems Creek Golf course! New management is accommodating as well as knowledgeable. They have really outdone themselves with a complete renovation of the clubhouse and awesome improvements that have happened already to the course as well as more to come. The new pro Diane McHeffey has brought a touch of class to the club too. She’s the real deal and has a passion for the game that you will see upon meeting with her. What a positive change of experience with the new facilities and refinement with the course. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for me!
Judy Magura
This is a great golf course. Staff is really the best. Greens in good conditions. Hills present plenty of challenges and the course is fun to play. I give it four stars, there is always room for improvement.
Stephen Rule1reboot
Service was great and the course was interesting. It took a bit to get accustomed to the elevation changes since we are from "flat" states. Lol.
Glenn Person
Well run facility with challenging mountain golf course. Only course in Weaverville. Dianne the instructor is first class. WNC has a problem with slow play, Reems keeps it moving with 15 min tee times. Good food and drink under the new ownership.
Lee Bell
The course is in great shape! I've played there since 2000 and it's the best I've seen it! Awesome staff too! Keep up the good work!
Carson Broadrick
I was here with a group of 8 guys for a Bachelor party. Summer, the owner, couldn’t have treated us better. The course was so much fun and in great shape. The price was right. And Summer treated even better. 10 out of 10 will be coming back
Caleb Ward
Had a fantastic experience. The course and new ownership are great. And I only see it getting better in the years to come. Fun round of golf and great food at the clubhouse. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Reems Creek!
Ed Moreno
The new owners are great. Alot of work is going on right now. The tee boxes are being redone on A few of the holes. Brand new carts with GPS. The clubhouse is being redone!. I am looking forward to the work getting done. The clubhouse will be my hangout once it is complete!
robert von buskirk
Being from Michigan I've never had a chance to play such scenic and challenging course. I thought it was well maintained and the staff were very welcoming. Can't wait to play it again!
top hauler
Four stars overall is pushing it,but the greens are very good but so challenging. Apparently no one fixes their ball marks on the greens, which is sad.A gem mountain course, if ur a long driver, great view at every hole.Tee boxes and fringes need some work and low spots were very wet.Greens are extremely fast.$32 on golfnow is fair but i wouldn't pay over 40.
rlabchem
Nice course in very good condition. Nice hilly views. First time playing here. On some holes, e.g., #5, #8, it took me several minutes to figure out where to aim my drive. Would help to play with a local. Only had time to play nine but enjoyed.
Mike Knowles
Very good course and fun to play. Elevation changes, views and weather made it worth the trip. Young lady in the pro shop very helpful . Would recommend anyone visiting the area add it to your list of courses to play.
S XG
Played May 2016. It is a very picturesque course with sharp grades and angles. Definitely a unique layout. First timers should play conservatively and not hit long, especially on holes where the green is not visible. Had no issues and check in was smooth. Having a course map will help. Well worth the views.
Ryan Watson
This is one of the best experiences I have had a golf course! The staff and ownership made us feel like locals and members. If your in the area I can’t recommend this place enough!
Brad Watt
Beautiful course with an incredible view. Deals to be had if you select a later tee time. Watch out for rabbits, as they're everywhere. Even if you ride in a cart, you will find yourself hiking up and down the hills with frequency.
Roland Faassen
Hats off to the new owners. This course will not disappoint anyone. From the clubhouse to the fairways, this course has transformed into a gem
John Gajan
An inexpensive gem that meanders through hill and dale with some nice views. The bunkers were essentially not maintained, mostly filled with water after a previous days thunderstorm. But that aside, an enjoyable and relaxing track.
Nate Hensley

Cliff Overman
One of the most difficult courses I've ever played. Unforgivable rough. Twists and turns everywhere. Beautiful greens and scenery.

Manny Domingo
Great course. Great condition. Very challenging.
Troy 1000 Parker
The golf course is great and the service is amazing the only issue is the golf course Pathways they are hazardous (massive potholes and degrading asphalt in combination with some very steep hills is a bit treacherous) so please be careful!
David Norris
Beautiful and challenging, a real adventure!
Juanita Snyder
The course is unique and fun. The people are great to work with and friendly. The chicken sandwich is delightful. Fun place.
Ariel Haas
I have a question. Have you ever thought about using organic herbicides. Called pulverize. Normal herbicides cause cancer and we would come play at your course regularly if that happened.

Don't expect to conquer this course on your first try. This well layed out course is up and down with many blind shots and super elevated greens. We enjoyed a well maintained gem of a course. Bring your A game and enjoy this course just a few miles from Asheville NC.
