Reviews of Moose Run Golf Course
Moose Run is a beauty of a course. Absolutely would recommend 18 on both courses!
Extremely fun course. Very challenging. I had a great time and the scenery is awesome. Would recommend
Alaska likely isn't your first thought for a golf vacation but if you golf and you're in town I recommend getting out. Played the creek course. Great layout, challenging. Conditions were a little rough but hey it's Alaska not Scottsdale.
The Junior Golf Camp was awesome for my daughter! She had a blast at the driving range as well as putting and chipping! Frank, the Golf Pro, is very patient with the kids! All the staff at the Moose Run Golf Course are top-notch!
Had a great time! It's a beautiful golf course with good food in the lodge and happy staff!
Beautiful layout on creek course. Lots of trouble for wayward tee shots, but beautifully groomed fairways when you do find one. Nice and green! Loved it!
Great course, I really like the stream course, saw a black bear and cubs. They are open to the public and have great rates for military!
Beautiful course. The rental clubs were a little beaten up, especially for what they charged me
Course is in great condition given all the rain this month. Lot of fun playing here!
Its a nice course with a driving range and putting green.
Moose run is beautiful, I don't even golf. I just ride along in the golf cart.
Awesome course, a pleasure to play and great views.
A great challenge a beautiful setting and managed extremely well. Good people. T h x very much!
First time at JBER Moose Run Golf Course as a new participant in the PGA Hope Program in partnership with the Alaska VA. The course is beautifully maintained and majestic in its splendor and blending with the natural forests. The course is lightly populated with golfers and there is no wait for tee times. This is a definite must go for golfers in Anchorage.
Love golfing at Moose! GC well maintained with super nice staff.
This is hands down one of the most stunning golf courses I've ever been to. My husband and I like to go and I watch him play. The nature is so stunning the scenery and the mountains are breathtaking. I highly recommend anybody that wants to go and relax and play golf to go. The hot dogs at the Shaq are very tasty too. Prices are very low. On Mondays and Wednesdays they have prices and food.
Great place to golf. 6/5/21 first day the greens were open. Not in great shape yet.
The staff was absolutely so friendly. Got to play 27 holes. Played both courses and was very impressed. You cannot beat the views. Absolutely stunning
Love da people that work there..also da hill course is much better than da creek course..I rather play the 68 year old hill course
We were there for lunch. We ate out on the deck although you could eat inside.
Great Burger and fries and Coke.
Great view and fun to watch the golfers coming back in.
Great golf course. The best in Alaska. If the greens are smooth. That would be full 5 stars. But I think this is the best they can do in a Alaska regarding the greens.
Good golf course, enjoy it. The fair way is a little too bumpy for a golf cart though...
Amazing views. The Creek Course is the best in the state. The Hill Course is old traditional style with lots of character. Fun track to play.
Beautiful scenery. Not much rough between the fairway and woods. Course is very dry and firm, so the ball runs a mile. Greens are very patchy and bumpy, 2 stars for the greens. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Good golf course with 2 - 18 hole courses. Hillside is a bit rugged but has great views. Creekside is newer and smoother with a bit more variety.
Nice course. Went to the driving range today. Would be nice if there were Yardage signs on the markers, ie.. 100yds-200yds and so on.
Much different than the lower 48 golf wise. The permafrost makes the ground sound hollow and maybe a bit bouncy, definitely harder than normal. I heard they only water the greens which makes for a less than appealing view of the rest of the golf course. Overall, its a nice golf course.
Beautiful golf course, we had a great time. Didnt give it five starts because the greens were super slow, it was hard to hit your putt so hard.
The fairways were nice and wide but if you went off of them, you may not find your ball. We kept looking for bears after hearing locals talking about always seeing one while playing. We are kind of glad we didn't see one!
Great job running our golf tournament
Nice course, friendly pro shop and snack bar
Course in great shape. Military discounts. Challenging. I'll play here again.
The course is really in good shape. The view is breath taking. I could play there every day.
Fantastic venue. Beautiful views, spacious, staff are friendly. Perfect experience!!!
Really fun golf courses. The Creek course is my favorite of the 2 as it's a bit more challenging than the hill course.
It's right off the highway and the driving range has pretty good capacity, with hole pin flags set up. It's not very long range though.
Green, wet, great day out for our tournament.
Moose, Moose, and bears, cool courses 👍 …
JRPGA is always amazing. Josh and Zack are the best
Great course with even better views.
Best 36 holes in the state. Hands down!! Great staff as well!!
Staff was very nice and the greens were well kept!
It's a great golf course with decent holes.
Reasonable prices, tasty offerings, exceptionally pleasant staff!
Played it a bit early in the season, none the less a good challenge. A should play
Lovely property....Greens dont roll true....
Friendly staff in the clubhouse. I was only there for the driving range, im looking forward to one of the courses, I'll be coming back.
Amazing place to see wildlife and play golf
Moose Run Golf Course (Creek course): A facility of the Joint (Army-Air Force) Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Moose Run is home to the "world's northernmost 36-hole golf facility". Here you'll find the well-rated Creek course, designed by renowned golf course architect Robin Nelson, as well as the older, shorter but equally enjoyable Hill course.
Didn't get to use the greens but had a lot of fun
Great course conditions
Convenient to stop in and hit a bucket.
Not much competition here so based on that it's a nice place.
Absolutely beautiful course!
Well kept and quiet with beautiful scenery.
Love it! Scenery is outstanding!
