Reviews of Anchorage Golf Course
Fantastic all around experience. Staff was beyond friendly, pace of play was quick, and the course was in great condition. It was clear that they've recently put a significant amount of work into the course -- no temporary greens etc.
Great course, nice golf carts (smooth sounding and driveability) and cushy steering wheels.
Nice quiet place to dine, overlooking the golf course and the Anchorage downtown in the horizon. On a clear day, you can view Mt. Denali from here. The food was pretty tasty as well.
Parking is free. The Anchorage Golf Course is very convenient for those who live on the south-side of Anchorage. I enjoy the driving range as it feels like I have space and a nice walk down to it. The road throughout the greens needs some attention in spots, but otherwise a roller-coaster if you're heavy on the pedal. The snack/drink cart isn't too bad on prices, so it might be worth bringing some cash. Overall I think beginners will enjoy the course and after 18 holes you should have all your frustrations gone.

Beautiful views but as of September 2021, the course is in bad shape. They are doing a lot of maintenance, hopefully it will be in better shape next year.
Great mountain course, elevation changes, late September, really good shape, had fun playing.
It’s a really pretty course but the greens were in such rough shape it made it extremely hard to make an accurate putt. If you’re looking to spend that kind of money I’d look elsewhere to golf. Not trying to be rude at all, just honest. Their staff was VERY nice!!! I hope next time I come to Anchorage, it’s in better shape so I can take this review away. Hope this helps!
Love this golf course!! Amazing views and scenery. Po
The best golf course in Alaska. Be prepared that you may see some wildlife on the course!
I visited family in Anchorage and Seward area Sept of 2018. Used the golf range. Very nice G.R. Didn't get a chance to play. Fairways and greens looked to be in very good playing conditions. Well maintained G.C. Great views.
A good course that have beautiful vistas of Flattop mountain. A variety of tee boxes can make this a challenge or a good for beginners. The greens are amazing and will test any golfers short game skills. Oh ya, and keep an eye out for bears.
Loved playing evening golf here with a 6:30 t-time. Beautiful course w multiple animal sightings including fox and moose.
I just called and made a tee time in less then 60 seconds, I timed it! The gentleman I talked too was extremely nice and gave me quick precise information and we were done! Yes it’s golf in Ak but still, customer service is your first interface with potential clients, I’m going there right now thinking it’s a 5 star resort with how that guy treated me on the phone!
Very good public course that offers a good challenge for golfers of all levels. The scenery is spectacular, the course was in great shape when we played, and the staff/facilities were great.
This course is always in amazing condition and is far better than the other courses in the state. As a plus, the youth rates are really quite appealing. It is only $10 for 17 and under to play. That is what keeps me coming back multiple times a week.
This is very easily the best golf course in Anchorage and probably Alaska . . . by a huge margin. This has comparable views to settlers bay but is a WAY better golf course (layout, conditions, design, etc.) than Settlers. Seriously way better. It definetly a more enjoyable play over either of the military courses as those two courses are awful. The course is always in the best condition relative to any other courses in AK. It's a fun course that can play long enough with some unique holes. Not too narrow and certainly not wide open. Great elevation changes, with only a couple blind tee shots (those are always a drawback on any course).
There's not a lot of options for golf in the last frontier but if you haven't played here or want to play the best this one is it.
Beautiful course, nice layout. Nice people. Greens are overall good shape with few are spotty.
It's the cool track you want to have fun there I enjoy going up there every time I visit my brother irrigation system was broke cuz of the hurricane things were drying out but that's life great place have fun in the Midnight Sun
The staff was very friendly and the course was extremely clean.
Very happy with my visit!
Thanks Omalleys on the green!
I will continue to do business with you guys!
Magdalene was very helpful in showing me the club house and pointing out the courses. The greens and flowers were very well kept.
Love this place! Awesome drinks and 20 or so bux for 2 buckets on the driving-range. Had a great time with the family smacking balls and not breaking the bank.
Anchorage Golf Course, rated 3-1/2 stars, located in Alaska's "Anchorage Bowl, provides golfers with a 6,600 yard test on a Bill Newcomb sculpted layout. Wonderfully scenic natural views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the city skyline and Cook Inlet abound from this public 18-hole course. Course description, images and other details to follow soon.
Great service, course was great and the wild life came out to say hi! Would highly recommend playing 18 here for sure!!
Great golf, lousy restaurant, lousy food
Decent greens today. Lots of construction though. Staff was very accomodating and nice today.
Not bad shape for this early in the year. They cut back a lot of brush. Only lost 3 balls which is a personal best 🤣🤣 …
Staff was great. Prices for 9 holes for a Sr. Resident were a little steep.
Enjoyed the course and the availability of refreshments on the course. Played bogey golf as I am a novice golfer.
The course is in the best shape it has ever been in. The greens are good for an eight on the meter.
The upgrades to the course are on point.
O'Malley on the Green was awesome for lunch! Food was great and we dined on the patio!
Fun routing, tough but fair, busy on weekends, but you can play until 3am!
great course, best greens locally as of now and fairly priced.
Best place ever food people loved everything about it go spend your hard earned money you will not regret it.
Course in nice shape and only 2 temporary greens out of 18!
Great golf course! Happy to play a round here
Great Golf Course will test your accuracy very fun to play
Course was in great shape considering our dry summer.
It's Alaska in the spring. A little rough but great people and the weather was perfect today.
