There is no denying that the flowers were beautiful and were done at an unbeatable price. The bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnieres were gorgeous. Lynn was fantastic to work with, until the wedding day. I didn't actually pick up the flowers (I was the bride, doing bridal things) but my in laws went. Apparently, Lynn had agreed to do a funeral so my flowers were not done in time. According to my father in law, half of the flowers were picked up then (an hour past the original pick up time), the other half delivered after pictures had started (hours later). The bridal bouquet was not at all what we had talked about, still beautiful, but not to my specifications. We had ordered 2 altar pieces that were no bigger than bouquets. I give Lynn 3 stars because the quality was there, she just needs to work on time management and making sure the arrangement is what is expected. Don't let this deter you from booking her, just make sure everything is clear and understood upfront. Send someone who knows you to get the flowers.

Lynn created amazing bouquet and centerpieces for our wedding! She listened to what I wanted and created flowers that were even prettier than I could have come up with myself. She knows her flowers and offers fabulous creations for a very reasonable price. I'm already looking for a reason to use Lynn again.

The flower arrangements for our wedding a couple weeks ago were over the top! We could not have been happier with the beautiful arrangements of color, artistic design, and fullness. The bride's and bridesmaid bouquets just made our colors pop, and the selection of flowers used, was perfect. Our altar arrangements and table centerpieces were gorgeous, and very reasonably priced. I had considered a DIY option with this wedding, as after 4 weddings I know how crazy expensive the pricing can be. This was a great compromise in getting competitive pricing & fresh beautiful flowers in exchange for some hands-on organizing. It's true when you first walk in to The Flower Guys shop, one is quite skeptical of it's less-than organized environment, and there is no formality in putting an "order" or contract together. But these people know their flowers, have great suggestions, and are fun & colorful to work with. My biggest tip is to organize for them (I put together an order spreadsheet including pictures of colors) and stay in touch. I felt like a pest at times, and they humored me. Our flowers were all delivered on time to the right places, and the bouquets arrived in vases of water to stay fresh. It was a nice way to transport them from the Church to the reception too. Jim and Lynn were fun to work with, Pedro actually did much of the arranging/designing (I was told), and if you're lucky, Jim will be strumming his guitar when you visit their shop...

We recently did business with The Flower Guys and it worked out very well, they were competitively priced and had beautiful fresh flowers on the day/time we needed them. I would definitely recommend them! We needed 50-plus sunflowers for a cemetery service on a certain day a few weeks ago. We called ahead and The Flower Guys said they would have the flowers for us and quoted us a discounted rate for the volume (which was very competitive). We said we would pick them up on a certain day/time, and sure enough, we came and they had the flowers as planned. In fact, when we came to pick them up, once the gentleman working there heard why we were buying the flowers, he gave us extra at no additional cost. We were very touched and that was very generous. Each time we called or stopped by, there was a different person, yet all of them very very friendly. I'm not certain if the communication between them is extensive, yet it all worked out. They even let us use the bathroom when we were there. We will admit that the look of this place is a little questionable (with less of a budget spent on sprucing up the place) ... yet our experience was positive and they came through for us. Again - our family would highly recommend them and we are happy to support this small local business. (I cannot speak to their delivery at all.)

This review is for Lynn, the flower gal - who used to do work for the flower guys but is now working on her own. Lynn created beautiful flower designs for our wedding. She understood what we wanted and gave us great ideas (we had simple requests: gerber daisies, kermits and other flowers). We got quotes from several people and Lynn's prices were lower - for much more. She gave us an initial quote and stuck with it. We met with her two times - once to go over initial ideas and again closer to the wedding to finalize details. Both times she sent us home with flowers, which was unexpected and sweet. She called me the week of our wedding with a suggestion to add dahlias to my choice of gerber daises because the dahlias were so beautiful. She was right - they were. We used her vases for flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception, which was a great value. She had worked other places and just launched her business when we were referred to her. She works out of her home (or did at the time of our wedding). I do think it would be better if she had another meeting/work space. I hope Lynn gets her own retail space - it would make her business just that much better. Overall, Lynn was wonderful and her work was great.

I've gotten flowers from here many times and have always gotten rave reviews (though I haven't been there since they moved locations - didn't know they moved until I stopped at their old place to find out they weren't there anymore).. Above all else, they are in fact VERY laid back. You need to have an attitude of "go with the flow" and you'll end up with more than you could ever imagine for flowers and arrangements. They did a friend's wedding years ago and the arrangements were stunning and lasted the entire evening into the next day. A little bit of flexibility goes a long way though! Primarily I've purchased flowers to make into my own arrangements for events and I've been amazed how long the blooms held up for and how easy going everyone is at the shop.

I have to reach out and give my opinion!! Lynn "The Flower Gal" is FABULOUS!! I'm in Florida and my parents live right down from her shop in Mpls. So I just give her a shout out and my mama recieves the most beautiful flowers!! I can't say enough.. Lynn makes it so easy to get flowers to my parents and also notch quality.. Thank you so much.. Yes, the entire property looks like a war zone. If you can get past that, though, the quality of service and product are as good as I've recieved at upscale florists. Not to mention the price is 40-50% less than most flower shops. I bought a boquet for my wife's birthday, and the florist (Lyn) picked through the arrangement I chose, replacing what looked to me like perfectly good flowers with fresher ones. They looked good for about a week, which is more than I can say for some 80+ dollar arrangements I've purchased from other places. The only negative is the smaller selection of pre-made arrangements, but I was told that if you call ahead, they can make just about anything you want. I'm not sure how they can stand to work such a run-down shop, but the people are great at what they do, and if the prices and quality remain, I'll definitely be going back.

I'm sorry to see so many negative reviews on this place but I must agree with Nicolas on this one. The shop may not be the most professional looking place in town but the price and freshness of the flowers I received for my daughter's wedding was fantastic. If you are the anal retentive type, you should probably pass these guys up. But if you want to save yourself some cash and have a fun experience, then these guys are the ones to deal with!
