The decor is wonderful. They have artful chandeliers, columns, and a great outdoor space with fire pits. We were there for a wedding and it was a great space for the ceremony and reception. There was an ungodly amount of food. The cocktail hour had a wide variety--pizza, pastas, crab cakes, shrimp & grits, oxtail, jerk chicken. The desserts were a wide variety--cakes, cookies, cotton candy, smores, chocolate fountain, ice cream, cheesecake. The only downside was that dinner took a little bit longer to be served, but that gave time for my stomach to digest all the heavy hors d'oeuvres from the cocktail hour. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful venue with plenty of space. Appetizers were great—huge spread. Centerpieces beautiful. Staff were nice. Had to wait in line for drinks — only 2 bartenders for 120 plus guests. Hype man was articulate and lively. They even had semi fireworks inside like at concerts. Open bar. I would def have a reception here.

My husband and I got married last Saturday and The Waterfall was awesome. We had 250 guests and we have not stopped hearing from them about how amazing our wedding was. They have specifically noted how great (and plentiful) the food was and how pleasant the staff was. We had a church ceremony and then only the cocktail hour and reception here. The coordinator and managers were so enthusiastic about making sure every detail we wanted came to fruition - we were not that particular but they kept asking more and more questions to ensure the day was personal for us which was above and beyond what we expected. Highly reccommend.

We cannot thank The Waterfall enough for how amazing they made our special day! Every single person on their staff took the time to personally talk to me and make sure that my husband and I were well taken care of! Our event coordinator, Rachael, made us feel incredibly at ease after some unforeseen circumstances and she even made sure that my favorite food was in the bridal suite as I was getting ready! Wow! She is an incredible person and I would recommend her to anyone! David even took the time to sit with us and make sure that all of our questions were answered. I can't stress enough how comfortable everyone made us feel, which is so important during a time like this. They knew exactly what they were doing and had a plan for everything. It was a relief to know that every situation was handled, and professionally at that! I haven't even started about the food yet. Our guests continually told us that they couldn't believe how not only was there such a large amount of food, but everything tasted EXCELLENT! Not only that, but they also told us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to, from the gorgeous venue, to the incredible food, to the organized and friendly staff! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone at the Waterfall for the perfect wedding of our dreams!!!!

LOVED my wedding here. The place is very professional and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The planning process was easy and a wedding planner from the waterfall walked with you every step of the way. This place caught us not only because of it's looks but because of the food package. Cocktail hour was amazing. There had to be over a hundred different foods which includes a Toscana table, 25 or more butlered apps, 3 stations, pizza and more. The food, cake, dessert (which had 6 stations), open bar, wedding planning, decorating, cleanup, gratuity and NO tax was all included in the price per person. They also got specific beers and wine we wanted at the wedding for no extra cost. I can't speak highly enough of this venue. It was elegant yet so fun. Everything included in the package here were upgrades at every other venue we looked at. All the employees except one miserable bartender (said his name was Benny) were great! You even get a personal bridal attendant for the day of who gets you anything you need. There is just too much to say about this place. I'd say go take a tour and see their packages. I'm so happy with the way my wedding turned out!

My daughter's and now son in law's wedding was just held there October 1,2017. It was simply beautiful ! Everyone there was so accommodating to all our needs and concerns. Nicole, our coordinator was amazing and very professional and handled all our concerns with the assurance that the wedding day would be perfect , and it was!! Our maître d' that was assigned to us that day was truly helpful, highly professional, and extremely accommodating to all of our needs and even stayed overtime to help us pack everything up. He never left until we were finished packing everything up. The venue is beautiful and the food delicious !!!

An absolutely amazing staff here, working here as a vendor was a great experience! Every single staff member was polite and helpful with any questions and excellent with coordination. They run a great crew here, and would certainly trust them with my event. During the event I was running, the venue was double booked, and they did an amazing job coordinating things so that both of the events never clashed. The venue itself is stunning as well, and very well maintained! Carpets were cleaned, all the floors were spotless, and not a speck of dust or a cobweb to be seen!

This venue is spectacular! The atmosphere, landscape, different fountains, service, food... I can go on and on. Gorgeous from the outside in. The outdoors feature a waterfall where you can take beautiful photos. The inside is HUGE. The food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal. I have no complaints here. Awesome wedding too!

Very beautiful venue. I love the outdoor area. It is great for pictures. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The service was a little lacking. Communication between different departments were slow and inconsistent. A lot of things we were promised as far as assistance and service we did not receive. We had to constantly remind the staff of our needs throughout the night.

Updating my review with a comment, which continues to be a five star. This establishment is exceptional. Always been to events here. One of my daughters just got married in September so I had the opportunity to be on the business side and was very pleased, very professional, very clean. Covid-19 friendly. The employees were so on point with my daughter's wedding. Being the Mother of the Bride you want no flaws or mishaps happening and the employees were there to make sure of that. Hope i was not a nuisance of making sure that nothing didn't happen if I was to them they did not show that. This is just not a Beautiful establishment that will get you but all around the place and customer service is remarkable. Unbelievable beautiful place to host a special event. From the time you enter the doors, walk the entrance to the outside patio area you will be in for a pleasant surprise. The indoor and outdoor patio will make your event unforgettable. Service with a smile and the goal is to make your experience enjoyable. Appetizers, stations and enough bars to serve a large crowd. The sit-down dinner was excellent. We were there for the Convery-Gibson wedding and after the bride and groom were introduced the staff came out with torches glowing, formed a path for more staff members to present the bride with roses from the Waterfall. Beautiful and enjoyable evening for all.

My husband and I had our reception here over a week ago and can say nothing but amazing things about everyone among the staff. The venue, decor, food and service were all high value. Our wedding coordinator ended up being Jessy Moran. We originally had another coordinator and Jessy picked up after our original had left the business midway through the process. From our first conversation Jessy took command and made the process seamless. We felt completely secure the whole way as a result with quick responses to any questions that rose and really felt she was a part of the process with us. When it comes to the day of there is another person of note among the many and it was our Matre' De Amanda Jones. We cant thank her enough for all of her help in keeping things running smoothly and we felt catered to all night. She even helped bustle my dress and had pins onsite if necessary. There is a lot of hard decisions to be made when planning a wedding. This should be an easy one. Very few places or people truly WOW you these days and that's the only impression we were left with in the end. Thank you.

I've been here a for a few Lions Club events. It's a lovely venue if a little overly ornate. The service staff is friendly, but can be a bit slow and somewhat forgetful at times. The food is fairly good, but can suffer from the sin of "trying too hard." For example, the mystery sauce on the otherwise excellent pork cutlet detracted enhanced the entree. The rolls served were small hoagie rolls instead of dinner rolls. Access/Egress from the road is a bit problematic. The entrance to the parking lot is at the North side of the building and it's easy to miss it when approaching from the north, which has the only legal turn into the lot. The only legal exit is a right turn to the South. Otherwise you are crossing a double-double yellow center-line. There is a convenient protected U-turn if you approach from the South, but not when your leaving, so most people just make the illegal left and you can get backed up by traffic at the light at the North Corner. I'm not sure what can be done to alleviate this.

This place has come a long way from it's beginnings as Brandywine Terrace. Congrats to the owners and staff. The atmosphere was great, the outside area including the area for the ceremony was done up right, landscaping, placement of fountain, firewall , seating area ect. Hard to believe at one time this was a part of a parking lot and empty space. They filled it out well. On the inside there was plenty of room for all involved, photo both display tables, gift table ect. From what it was to what it is now, what a change. The Staff very friendly and helpful, professional. They made the Wedding flow seamlessly, from set up to ceremony, to end. And they performed well to every need of the guest. The food can't say enough, if you left hungry I would be surprised. To much to list. For desert again too much to list we'll just call it a wall of sweets and such, something for everyone. But I have no complaints, nor did I hear any from others in attendance. Now all that said as the evening went on dancing, and having a good time, the room heated up quickly. Yes it was quite warm in the main ballroom as opposed to the lobby, or outside. A little more air movement would have taking care of this, however all in all it did nothing to over shadow the event. The wedding and dinner was in my eyes a great success. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the Waterfall.

My company held a party here, good appetizers, great bartenders, wasn't offered any appetizers by the servers though. I had to get it all from the table. Wish the main course food was out longer, I went to grab a plate and there was nothing out, it had all been taken to the back. I arrived about twenty minutes into the party and had apps first. Apparently this place didn't realize they had out-of-towners who didn't know the area, AND parking was full so I had to park over a block away. Maybe if there was more parking I could've had some of the main course offerings.

I had the pleasure to work with all of the Waterfall Staff on the 20th of March 2015. For starters, Brett has one of the best personalities and makes sure that everything goes according to planned. Amanda was very focused and awesome to work with too. We coordinated with one another very well and she paid attention to detail through out the whole event. During the wedding, I was able to witness all of the Waterfall staff work together and inter -act with all of the guests. Hope to work with this crew again.... Great job!!!!

June 10th 2016 was the date of our event at The Waterfall in Claymont, DE. WOW! What a breathtaking venue and amazing staff the waterfall has. Our event coordinator was extremely helpful from our first visit up until the day of the wedding. David, the general manager, was also fantastic. He was our main contact point for the rehearsal & the day of the event. On to the venue. The grounds are incredible. Don't let the area fool you, you don't feel like you're anywhere near Claymont. The garden ceremony area is beautiful. With new columns and fountains the photo opportunities are amazing. The cocktail room is elegant, well laid out, and FILLED with food! So many options our guests raved about for weeks after the wedding. The staff was attentive, various family members felt like the center of attention; never without a fresh drink or Hors d'oeuvre. The Grand Ballroom is where we hosted our reception. It is an absolutely gorgeous ballroom! Our lead maître d' Kevin continued the great service we experienced throughout the day. Kevin made sure we had everything we needed, accommodated last minute requests, and took care of little things that would pop up throughout the night. The dinner was the only thing that I felt could have been improved. Im sure its difficult to cook steak correct for 150 people and I can’t complain because they really worked hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. The night flowed perfectly and we didn't miss a beat on anything. I can’t stress enough how amazing the Waterfall was and how happy we are that we booked this venue for our wedding. If I had to sum up in three words why we loved the venue I would say “Beautiful, Accommodating, Delicious”. The venue looked amazing, the staff were great the entire time, and our guests raved about the food for weeks! There is not one bad thing to say about The Waterfall. The whole experience from meetings, food tastings, rehearsals, to the big day were absolutely amazing. The Waterfall. I would like to preface this review stating there are not enough words to do it justice for how amazing they were to make our wedding into the most memorable day of our lives. When we started looking at venues in the Philadelphia area in late 2015, we stumbled upon The Waterfall on one of the wedding websites, but were unfamiliar with location in Claymont DE. We decided to schedule an appointment to see the venue, and were immediately impressed. The Waterfall had TWO beautifully decorated ballrooms to choose from, and a newly renovated outdoor terrace for a ceremony. The venue wasn’t the only thing that impressed us, but meeting with David (Furst) as well. From the moment he greeted us, you can sense that he was very personable, professional, experienced, and treated everyone with the utmost respect. As we concluded our appointment, my fiancé and I said to ourselves “Did we stumble upon a gem? How could we have not heard of this place before? It’s in Delaware but only a 20 minute drive from Philadelphia!” Every other venue we visited after that pared in comparison to The Waterfall. We decided this is where we would have our wedding, and knew we were in good hands! Throughout the wedding planning process, we kept in touch with David, and bounced ideas with him on what our vision was for the day. Although the ballrooms are already equipped with magnificent décor, lighting, and architecture; my fiancé also wanted to personalize the wedding day with her DIY/Pinterest ideas. I personally felt uneasy about burdening them with decorating The Waterfall with all her DIY crafts, but David was not fazed and encouraged all of her Pinterest ideas! When the big day finally came upon us, I stumbled upon David giving his staff the rundown of the schedule and their assignments. It was evident throughout the evening that The Waterfall worked as a cohesive unit to make the evening a success. Not only did David get his team aligned, but he also worked with our other vendors (DJ/MC, Photo/Videography, Photo Booth) to ensure a seamless transition from ceremony procession through all the reception activities. Lastly, all of the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient, and we only wish we had a chance to thank each of them individually. We specifically would like to thank our bridal attendant MonJay, our captain Lakira, and our Matre’D DeNeen for all their support throughout the day. I hope as you read this review and are considering The Waterfall for your wedding day that you can see how appreciative we are to their team. We have attended almost two dozen weddings in the past 2 years, so our expectations were high – but The Waterfall far exceeded them. The Waterfall. David. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We recently got married at the Waterfall and had an absolutely phenomenal experience! From the get go, our coordinator Diandra was incredible. From start to finish she was there to support and answer any questions that we had. Days before the wedding when we had to change to an indoor ceremony, she was incredible and helped us work through that change of plans. The day of staff were also incredible. There was always someone nearby to help and after the ceremony, two of the staff members were there to help me with my veil immediately so I could go and visit with my guests. They helped get my grandmother a supportive chair for her back. They made sure we all stayed hydrated they were incredible! One thing you'll hear about the waterfall is that the food is incredible and that is the absolute truth! The variety of food made sure everyone got something delicious to eat! Even during dinner, my now husband wasn't sure what he wanted so they brought him a full sized portion of everything! Even before the ceremony in the bridal suite they had delicious pasta and snacks and drinks for us! I had initially been bummed about having to switch my ceremony to indoors but it was still absolutely beautiful! We were able to do some of our pictures outside still and the windows in the cocktail hour room are so large that our bridal party was able to watch from inside while still giving us our private moment together. I genuinely can't think of any complaints with the waterfall. They made our big day absolutely perfect and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!
