Went to the Crown for the first time in almost 20 years. The last show I saw was Clue in the early 2000's. Took my 3 year old to see the ugly duckling and they did an amazing job! Brought back amazing memories of my Godmom taking me to see the childrens shows as a little one.

Absolutely amazing venue with AMAZING prices!!!! The staff are so friendly and helpful!! Went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show with a friend and we sat in a booth. Loved the ease of ordering drinks and food from our table! The show was amazing and the venue was absolutely incredible. Cannot wait to come back for another show!!!

If you want to do the "dinner and show" thing , make sure you get the correct tickets and information, the original ticket site says nothing about the buffet. There's a $20 difference in price. The ticket site is somewhat misleading. On a good note the show and staff are great. Made for a fun though slightly incomplete night out. It needs to be more coordinated overall.

Omg so cold. It's 10 outside and 52 inside. Dueling pianos is more simpatico piano, they sound great. Done common some new stuff some where did you find that? The bassist is very fun to watch. Great cocktail selections, fun dessert options. It wasn't the show we expected, and we couldn't stay for the third set, just too cold, I'm not sure we'll try this show again, since it will be in a school night.

A lovely venue for the WCTD performance! It's so nice to have tables for the kids instead of auditorium seating, and the tiered floors mean every seat has a great view!

It's nice to have the Crown open and performing dinner theater again. We missed it. The format is different than it used to be with the food. Instead of a buffet they have the food catered in. This show it was BBQ. The food was okay but something about eating off plastic plates with plastic silverware was odd. But the tickets were significantly cheaper. Drinks are no longer included with the meal and were a little pricey for the size with no refills. We really enjoyed the show and plan on returning to see the next one.

We had an absolute blast at RHPS!! The costumes of cast and audience, random/not random shoutouts were downright comical. I've been wanting to go to this production for so long and so glad I did. It was a great show and they did an incredible job with this performance! Thank you Crown Uptown for putting on RHPS again this season!!

To be able to sit down enjoy a nice meal and have wonderful service from the server...and then also see a delightful and entertaining live show right after is a one of a kind experience...if your looking for a great night out the Crown is definitely a must

What a fun space! We went there for a date night and watched “The Wedding Singer”. The space was really spacious and everyone could sit really comfortably at the tables. The sound was also really good and balanced on the stage as well. A really fun place to go see live theater.

Crown Uptown Theater has very unique atmosphere! The interior is amazing and takes you to back time with luxury and richness of the look.The tables inside are placed very smart and regardless of your sit you have a good view. It’s very intimate and beautiful!If you are planning to visit, be prepared to walk. There is no parking. I suggest parking across the street on Dillons parking.

Had a fun time here, concert was great, drinks were great. But looking at the website, it says "dinner theatre" so.... just so everyone knows, they do not serve dinner or have any kind of menu (there was a gas station like hot dog stand) so please eat before you go!

My wife an I wanted to do something different for are 20th anniversary seeing how there's only so many options for Wichita. She had never been and always mentioned that everytime we go by, so that's where I took her they were showing 'The Wedding Singer' she LOVED IT as did I the cast,singing,dancing and adult humor were hands down really great! I just so happened to pick probably best seats in the house. Are humas an pita appetizer was nothing to mention drinks were good showed up 20min early so parking in the back was not a issue. A must do for lovers or going on a date.

My bf was a Rocky Horror virgin. He planned out our date night to enjoy the live performace/interactive show. We had a blast! Slight bummer full dinner isn't available, but the snacks were decently priced. We had an absolute blast and my bf said, "I'll definitely do the Time Warp with you, again."

I've been attending shows since the 80s and the sound system is better than ever! The show was funny with beautiful music. The service was great. New owner Jim Basham does a fabulous job and he is very interactive and seems to care deeply about people's experience there. It's a great seasonal show that will make you giggle and move to the music. Worth checking out!

We just held an event with over 400 in attendance at the Crown on Jan 27. The facility was amazing and the staff was fantastic to work with. We were so pleased with the way everything turned out. Keep in mind that all events are open catered so some of the complaints about food or the way shows are handled has little to do with the Crown Uptown and everything to do with the caterers selected by the event coordinator. This group is fantastic. Thanks for a job well done.

Have been to two shows so far and have been really impressed. The waiters were amazing and did a great job of keeping up with each table. The food is very good. The dressings they present for the salads are fantastic. The soup course is unique and unexpected so its a nice mix up on your taste buds after the salad. You get three choice of main dish and they have never disappointed me so far. Desserts are a bit expensive but they are worth the money if you have the craving. In the month time span from the first show to the second they have improved on service techniques. Such as leaving a pitcher full of your preferred choice in drinks so that you can continue to enjoy during the show. I had read they do poorly but from all my observations this is quite incorrect. Even on Sunday showings the majority of the house is packed.

Great time! We have seen two shows here now and they were both amazing. Food isn't going to blow you away, think wedding food, but the dessert has been delicious both times. Acting is great and the cast really gets into it. If you live in Wichita and haven't been here, you are really missing out!

Just completed an event at Crown Uptown and I can not recommend them enough. We had over 400 in attendance and we have had nothing but compliments since the event. The staff went above and beyond what was asked of them and ensured everything went smoothly. For those who have been to the venue in the past, you will be very impressed with the remodeling that has taken place. Our event, which is held every two years, has already been booked for 2020 with Crown!

Very nice place I've been here for a few concerts. They do have a bar but the drink prices are a bit steep as with most concerts. It is plenty big enough to accommodate a lot of people and many different kinds of performances.

I have been to Wizard of Oz and Cats. Both times I have been there were FANTASTIC!!!! The servers were on top of everything, the food both times was very good and the plays were out of this world!!!! This is a beautiful theatre. I had not been in a while and had forgotten how nice it was. The only challenge may be parking. I would suggest getting there early if you want on-site parkinh, as it is very limited. Otherwise, Uber or a taxi can drop you at the front door.

Saw Godspell. Loved it so much we went twice. the food was awesome It's Godspell so there isn't too much for a set but was very well done! Going to see Sherk and am sure we won't be disappointed either! Really a bargain compared to a dinner and a movie. And much more memorable!

EDIT: I was contacted by Matthew a manager at the Crown and he was very apologetic and understanding. He said he talked to his staff and they understood that what they did was wrong. We will try this place again. Awful. They completely ruined my husband and I's night for no reason other than they thought he was sleeping when he wasn't. Then when the staff were questioned they lied about seeing him pass out all over the place, but if you had talked to anybody there they could tell you how untrue these allegations were. These people don't care about customer service. When I tried to call and make a formal complaint the manager was incredible dismissive and acted like he didn't even care. He seriously asked, "Well, what do you want me to do?" I have never been treated more rudely than by these people.

The sound is good, the place is clean. That lady who watches the door is a sexy beast. If you are into an act thats going to appear here, go! Its a great small venue. One of my favorites! They let me bring hawaiian food in, and even 2 Brothers. I can hog out while I jam out! Theres a bar, too. Thats kinda pricey, but... it's there, and it keels me tipsy. Tip those guys. They work hard for the money! Really, in Wichita, this might be the best place to see a show. Can't wait for my next one!

This past summer's Heathers, directed by Darian Leatherman, was absolutely fantastic. It was new and took risks and was a standout for me. Likewise the fall productions of Rocky Horror Show and Nuncrackers. I've lived a few blocks from the Crown for years and this year is the first that I've attended shows regularly. I couldn't stand one more production of Singin in the Rain or Godspell (although I do like those shows) and I'm thrilled to see someone in town take on new shows and musicals.

we saw sweeney todd with a groupon. the performance was good, as was the atmosphere, but the food was a hot mess: the salad consisted of wilted greens with a few pecans sprinkled in that had been left to sit out from the start of dinner service; butternut squash bisque, which tasted like and had the consistency of pumpkin pie filling; and a slimy piece of pecan encrusted tilapia sitting atop overcooked and equally slimy veggies. against my better judgment, i ordered pumpkin bread pudding. it was a solid block of something bready that tasted a bit sweet with what i believe was a canned peach on top of the block of bread. i would rate the food akin to very poor wedding food. the food was so unfortunate, i would never see another performance at the crown uptown theatre.
