Deliece and Melissa absolutely killed it for our wedding day and we could not be more thankful!!! We booked them for their day of coordination services and they were able to alleviate a lot of stress leading up to the big day for me, which was key in keeping my sanity for the entire weekend. I am someone who is beyond type A and have a working background of event planning/management and they were such a great crew to work with and thought of details that never even crossed my mind! Having my event planning background, I really questioned if I would need planners because I felt like I had everything under control, but having Deliece and Melissa as part of our special day was a no brainer! Looking back, I wish I would have found them sooner, honestly! We had many detail pieces and small items to set out on the day of the wedding plus an end of night exit that took some coordination, and everything went off without a hitch. It was important to my now husband and I that during the time leading up to the day of the event, Deliece and Melissa were very professional and always responsive - even when Deliece had just welcomed her son to their family. They are great to bounce ideas off of as well and lean on for advice and support when the dreaded but inevitable hiccups happen prior to your big day (like me getting the stomach flu 2 days before the wedding and not being able to get into town on time). During the wedding, when anything was adjusted or if an issue came up, they presented everything to me very calmly and with a solution which I really appreciated because it kept me from getting upset or worried knowing that they had it completely handled and had my back! My dress bustle was destroyed early on after it being accidentally stepped on multiple times while dancing and the ladies were able to save the day and make sure that train wasn’t moving anymore and was secure and I would be able to party the night away. The best part of all (aside from them being amazing people to work with) was that they knew my schedule inside and out and did not let anything slip through the cracks, which was always something I was worried about before I had planners. All of their materials and plans they create are clear and straightforward and if you choose month of coordination, there are many follow up calls and these ladies work super hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is perfect. At the end of the night, everything was carefully put away and handled which allowed my new husband and I to be able to go off with our friends and family and continue the celebration at the after party, which were are BEYOND grateful for since there was so much partying happening during the actual wedding. Overall, our wedding was amazing and Deliece and Melissa deserve so much credit for that! My husband and I are beyond grateful for the whole team and helping to make our day a fairytale!

I cannot rave enough about the Dhalia Team. I had to put together a wedding in less than a year at my parents home for potentially up to 200 people and Dhalia's team was so insanely helpful in making that happen. There was SO MUCH work to be done and they helped through the whole process. They are so detail oriented and the portal they provide is truly a life saver. Melissa and Deliece are so sweet and so accommodating and were there whenever I needed ANYTHING. On the day of the wedding I was also provided with a Bridal Assistant. Antonia was a dream. She was there by my side whenever I needed something even if it was just a water. I highly recommend the Dhalia team whether you are an event big or small.

The team at Dhalia Events was incredibly helpful during the lead up to our wedding day! They coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure that all aspects of our event were cohesive and synced up to perfection. Melissa and Deliece were always a few steps ahead of us anticipating all of our needs and addressing any issues that came up with professionalism and care. They made the last few weeks before our wedding way less stressful than they otherwise may have been, and we were lucky to have them! I cannot recommend the team at Dhalia Events highly enough.

Words can't even begin to describe how grateful we are to have booked the Dhalia team for our wedding. Deliece and Melissa are such professionals -- as my family commented throughout the wedding day, 'you can tell they've done this before!' From our very first planning call straight through the wedding weekend, Deliece and Melissa helped to keep everything organized and on track, making sure we never missed a deadline or forgot any detail -- from rentals to our floor plan to hotel blocks, and all the other million things that go into a wedding day. I also don't know how we would have survived our wedding day without them. Their team handled every aspect of the day and if anything went wrong, I certainly didn't know about it, which is exactly the kind of peace of mind you want your planner to offer. Beyond our professional relationship, Deliece and Melissa truly are your biggest cheerleaders and support system throughout the entire wedding process. They were easily the best decision we made and I cannot recommend them enough.

Hiring Dhalia Events was one of the best decisions we made when we were planning our wedding. I am skeptical of the wedding industry in general, but I am convinced that wedding coordinators like Deliece and Melissa are skilled, experienced professionals in a niche field who can make a huge difference in the quality of your experience. And what's the point if you don't get to enjoy your wedding experience? Here are some specific things that Deliece and Melissa did that were super-helpful on the day of: 1) I couldn't find the body tape I had bought, but they had some on hand. 2) I needed to stay hydrated after I got my makeup done, so they provided straws so I could drink without messing up my lipstick. 3) The groom's vest had fallen to the bottom of his garment bag after we dry cleaned it, but they had a portable steamer and were able to get the wrinkles out. 4) They arranged a tent for our DJ for the ceremony, which was outdoors, when they discovered at the last minute that the contract required a tent rain-or-shine. 5) They made sure we ate dinner (and dessert). 6) They made sure waitstaff were replacing our drinks at regular intervals during the reception. 7) They brought a handheld portable fan, which was a lifesaver since it was more than 90 degrees outside. 8) They provided transportation around the property, which was a vineyard that wasn't very walkable in my nice shoes. 9) A friend left something in their car by accident at the end of the night, and they arranged to mail it to her a few days later. All of these things were nice surprises. It's not like we asked them to bring straws, it didn't even occur to us that we'd need them. But Deliece and Melissa brought them anyway because this is their job and they know what they're doing. They were PREPARED. I also want to note that I did not buy full wedding planning services from them, just month-of coordination, but they never treated me like a less important client. There were cases in the months leading up to the wedding where I asked them for help that was actually outside the scope of services we had agreed on, and they were very professional in letting me know that it wasn't included in my package. I appreciate that they enforced their boundaries so politely and respectfully-- I like that in a person. Overall, I can't recommend Dhalia Events highly enough.

There is not enough space for all of the wonderful things I have to say about Dhalia owner Deliece Knights-Barnett and her team of planners (particularly Melissa and Lady). The Dhalia team was organized, efficient, and phenomenal communicators; any question I ever had was answered in a timely manner and they always had great vendor referrals and suggestions. They were incredibly supportive through a wedding reschedule due to COVID-19 and were always flexible when scheduling planning meetings around me and my husband’s atypical work schedules. They treated me, my husband, and my mother like family and I felt well taken care of the day of my wedding. I did not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day which went seamlessly. I would recommend them to family and friends and would hire them again for any major event planning in the future!

Hiring Dhalia Events to do the month of coordination for our wedding was by far the best investment my fiance and I made in our planning process. I cannot say enough good things about Deliece (owner/CEO) and her team. These women are experts in event planning/coordination. From the first time we met all the way through our wedding day, the Dhalia team was friendly, supportive, communicative, prompt, and on top of everything. I felt like a weight was lifted off of me when we began meeting with the team the month of our wedding. In terms of the planning process, the highlights for me were that Deliece took over all vendor communication, including questions, arrival/departure planning, etc. a few weeks before the date; my email was shockingly quiet since Deliece and the team assumed all of that hard coordination/communication work. Additionally, the team is highly organized which shined through in so many ways. They put together a beautifully detailed day of timeline which we constantly referred to. They sent action item lists following every meeting so the burden or tracking what had to get done was minimized for us (bride/groom). They had awesome planning software that we used along the way (the checklist was our favorite). I also want to mention that Deliece and her team are so personable and friendly. Working with them was truly so fun. Its clear they take time to get to know their couples and they care about the relationship a lot! They made time every call to just check in on how we were feeling/if we had concerns. There were many times we got to just chatting or laughing about something random. This speaks to how kind and thoughtful Deliece and her team are, and made me that much more comfortable and relaxed on our wedding day! I am so grateful that Dhalia Events was part of our wedding day and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning any kind of event. They are just stellar and worth every single penny. Dhalia Events was the best decision that I made for my wedding! I originally only wanted a day-of planner, but was glad that I went with them for the last few weeks leading up to my wedding in 4/2021. They helped me find find last minute vendors just as the COVID regulations were changing and put me at ease by creating an extremely organized schedule for my wedding day. The team set up the wedding reception decor beautifully as well. They truly went above and beyond. When my husband lost a contact during our wedding reception, Deliece even travelled back to the hotel to get his extra pair. We decided to switch from a venue wedding to a small backyard COVID wedding earlier this year. My mom found Dhalia Events to help coordinate all the moving parts of my wedding. I don’t think I can say enough about how much they helped make my wedding day wonderful, stress free, and the best night of my life. From start to finish, everyone on their team was a delight to work with. Deliece, Melissa, and Lady had every hour from 9:00 AM to midnight completely planned and organized. Acquiring the right event planners for any major function is always important. As a bride who’s by nature detail-oriented, I wanted my wedding day to be as close to everything I had dreamed of and knew the details and the planning were what could make it so. Thus, wedding planners were not just paramount in this task but crucial—especially planners who were able to not only understand my partner and I as a couple but also individually and that’s where Dhalia Events came in. There was no way for me as a medical resident working 80 hours a week to plan our entire wedding alone, along with the fact that my fiancé at the time who lived in Maryland, 4 hours from where I live and work. We live in two different states and the wedding would be in a 3rd state. There are a lot of moving parts that two working professionals just don’t have the time or bandwidth to handle in what we expected to be a 400+ guest South Indian wedding in the US. Deliece and Melisa had as much a fingerprint on our wedding as my partner and I did. I’ll admit I can be a very particular bride, my time is limited, and I need answers in the small windows I have in between work to plan our wedding. Dhalia really answered the call of duty. They provided us an overall timeline to work toward for our big day, all on our very own wedding portal that was meticulously organized and maintained. They provided us major input and suggestions on all the venders we were considering. They were the single point of contact for all our vendors and regularly reminded us of upcoming appointments, whether it was tuxedo rentals, choosing centerpieces, finding and choosing printers for the programs and invitations, scheduling trial runs for makeup and hair, reminding us to make scheduled payments, and following up on the millions of other details. We have been pretty much talking about our wedding non-stop for the past two weeks and so have our parents, siblings, and numerous others family members and friends. There were small glitches on our wedding (as is everyone’s I’m sure) but honestly, Deliece and Melissa smoothed it out and no one even knew! We HIGHLY recommend Dhalia Events for your wedding or any other special occasion! We definitely will look to them for any future event we need.

My husband and I were married this past September 2019, and I truly believe that hiring Dhalia for month-of coordination was the best decision we made! There is stress in the usual wedding day timeline. I’ve worked with event planners before and they always seem to induce the stress. Not true with Dhalia Events! These folks took a very complicated timeline and worked it, seamlessly, seemingly anticipating issues before they happened. As a wedding photographer I always fall prey to the timeline. When ever something goes wrong timing wise, it’s the photographer is the one that has their time compressed. The skill of the Dhalia folks made this one of the most enjoyable, fun days for the Bride and Groom, family and Friends and yes...even the photographer. I look forward to working with them again!

They were patient through the entire process, especially the days leading up to our wedding which were pure chaos. And very flexible and understanding with shifts and changes (we had a lot of surprises pop up and they handled them very well!). They especially shined on our wedding day! They handled last minute details and unfinished tasks and made sure everyone and everything was where it was supposed to be.
