Main Event was fantastic for our wedding :) Ali did a great job with design. The tasting event was fantastic and we really felt like the team was working hard to provide the best service and products for the wedding! Day of, on-site, their team was awesome and just did so much to make the wedding perfect. Thank you to this fantastic group of people! Anyone considering Main Event in the NOVA/DC area, we highly recommend them!

Let me start off by saying, Main Event Caterers is truly the best caterers in this area! Ali C. (Event Designer) was amazing to work with! She was always helpful and responsive to all our inquiries even days when she was away from her desk or on an onsite event. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious that everyone at our wedding raved about them and still do! Our wedding wouldn't have been a hit without the hard working and literally the kindest and helpful Main Events servers, bartenders and staff. We even had staff dedicated to my husband and I all night long and they were so kind and always making sure we had a drink or bite to eat. I highly recommend booking Main Events for your wedding or event, you will not be disappointed! The food is amazing and they have the best service! Thank you again to the Main Events team for being a part of our wedding experience and making our wedding cocktail hour and reception just perfect!

My sister got married on September 3rd at the Dumbarton House and Main Event was the caterer used. My three children were also in attendance, the oldest of which is disabled, wheelchair bound and non verbal. As the matron of honor, my ability to be present with my daughter was limited, so we brought her attendant along with us. It was revealed to me after the wedding that the catering staff went above and beyond to ensure that my daughter was comfortable and taken care of. They accommodated her special dietary needs on the fly and still made sure to always offer her and her attendant other options to make sure they felt included. I cannot tell you how happy this made me (and the bride) feel to know that my daughter was treated so kindly and respectfully at this event. It allowed me to be present with my sister and enjoy the fabulous event. Thank you so much, Main Event, for making what could have been an incredibly stressful time, a joyous one!

No one went home hungry, and no one left anything on their plate! We knew good food was going to be central to our guests' experience of our wedding, and Latoria (who is a rockstar) and Main Event delivered in spades! Their generous portions, phenomenal variety, and delicious food ensured everyone was supremely satisfied! The fried chicken and waffle cones in particular were a crowd favorite and incredibly unique!

If you’re looking for a caterer, Main Event is who you should go to. We met with several caterers and are so glad we chose Main Event. Ali was fantastic to work with and our guests raved about the food and quality of service provided. June, our butler, took care of my wife and me all night ensuring we had a taste of each hors d'oeuvre and never had an empty glass. Truly can't say enough about how great our experience with Main Event was. Spencer and Melissa made the tasting, planning, coordinating, organizing, and everything else incredibly easy in advance of the wedding. They always offered input, ideas, and feedback but were also more than happy to follow our lead. Without a doubt they were the best catering option among the 10 or so that our venue allowed. On the day of the wedding, the service staff was absolutely outstanding in every way. They were quick to set up, did everything perfectly, and transformed a tented terrace into a beautiful dining room. The food was astounding, the service was impeccable, the bar was great (we got countless compliments on our bartender), and breakdown was quick and easy. Main Event was a critical part of our special day, and they executed everything perfectly.

MEC was recommended to us by our event planner. We have never hired a caterer for a private party before, so we were nervous about how to go about planning. They had great suggestions for what a party of our size, and our designated time would be with suggested menus for our budget. We were able to customize the menu easily with all their choices! On the day of our party, the caterers were there setting up as soon as the venue allowed. When we had guests that were bringing some food for gifts, they were very accommodating, and they helped us arrange for the extra. Throughout the event, their waiters were working very hard and made sure that we did not run out of utensils, food, or any other requests that guests had. The bartenders did not have a large line at any point in the evening. The food was very well received by everyone that we asked at the party. I was pleased with how we looked in putting together such an event with such good food and service. At the end of the night, they wrapped up all the leftover food for us to take home! My family really enjoyed having them for the next couple of days afterwards. I hope to be able to use them again for another event in the future!

Main Events catered my wedding last week. Several of my guests commented how delicious the food was. When the band showed up late and things had to be moved around, Karla, the Main Events on-site supervisor, provided helpful suggestions that kept the reception program on track. All my interactions with Main Events were very positive. They were consistently professional and accommodating - even providing us an additional tasting to make sure the herb chicken was to our liking. I highly recommend them!

We hired them to cater a wedding of 160+ people and they did a phenomenal job. Food was one of the highest priority items for us and Main Events just knocked it out of the park. Also, did I mention that they had incredible vegetarian options and were very accommodating about dietary restrictions? Just amazing. Everyone was astounded at the quality of food they were served. And almost just as important, their service was absolutely top notch. Would highly recommend them!

We retained Main Event Caterers for the wedding reception - including set up for the wedding ceremony, reception hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktails, full sit down dinner, excellent wines, and fabulous desert bar. What needs mention here is the quality of the food - every portion and course served was outstanding - and the quality of the staff -- who set up following another wedding - and turned the venue into a high end fairy-tell setting - replete with white table cloths - fine china - cutlery - outstanding waiters and service beyond compare. Do you get what you pay for? Absolutely! Wedding receptions are the most expensive item -- and thus expectations were high and judgement reserved. From the moment the last guest left - the phenomenal break down and cleaning of the venue - the rave reviews of our guests on the wonderful food and service everyone commented on the seamless quality of every aspect o Main Event Caterers. I highly recommend them to anyone.

While the area surrounding main events is a bid grim, the people there were awesome. They are there to help cater your events and bring location based knowledge to each event. Their prices were slightly higher than other however it was a marginal difference and personally I think the price is well worth it
