Thanks to Lauren with Chancey Charm Weddings, we had the best wedding ever! It went so smoothly even though there were so many (major hiccups!) we are ready to do it again!
Firstly due to covid-19, our original wedding date was postponed from 5/30/2020 to 10/18/2020. Lauren handled this like a champ, helping us with scheduling our entire vendor team to work on our new date. She kept us updated throughout and handled coordinating the entire date move. The phone calls helped us stay at ease!
Fast forward to a week before our new date on 10/13/2020, and we found out via Facebook, our caterer had closed the day before. He did not tell us, disconnected his phone, closed his shop, he was gone. We immediately called Lauren and started to get a plan in action; between the three of us, we were texting/calling contacts to find any possible vendor available to cater our event in just four days! This including calling Lauren a minimum of at least six times, and I believe the latest call was at 10 pm, and between all of that, we were sending texts back and forth updating each other.
Thankfully we were able to secure a new caterer for our event; we had a phone call with them, and Lauren was able to hop on and stay on the phone with the new caterer and us for almost an hour to ensure that every last detail was perfectly planned!
Fast forward to our wedding day, Lauren and her two staff members Alex and Kayla were terrific! Everything you could ever think of was completely handled, and the day went perfectly! Not even the guests knew of the crazy drama that had unfolded just days before. Katherine and I cannot thank you and your team enough. We are so glad we had you as our planner and now as our friend! If you are looking for a wedding planner, don't look any further, Lauren is your girl!

We worked with Alyssa to plan and manage our 2/26/2022 wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown (Washington DC). In short, she was nothing short of AMAZING the whole way through, but especially the night of, when she and her team truly shined to give us the most wonderfully, non-stressful, logistically smooth wedding we thought possible. When you're first planning a wedding and hiring vendors, every quote can give you extreme sticker shock, and hiring a planner was no exception. But Alyssa and Chancey Charm were worth every penny (and more).
Now for the details: We hired Alyssa primarily because of her cool, calm, kind demeaner. We just liked her immediately, and felt like we wanted that energy around on our wedding day. We booked the "month of" package with a couple of additional planning sessions added on. Because of those additional sessions she was involved at various points throughout the process starting about a year out, and then really took over about eight weeks before the wedding. Throughout the whole process, she was so organized and helpful without being overbearing. For example, she gave us some really amazing vendor recommendations, and gave us little tasks and forms etc. to fill out to help us stay on top of things, without making it feel like "work." We had access to a wedding planning software tool that was super helpful for tracking the guest list and addresses, making the seating chart and updating vendor information and keeping track of our vendor payment schedule. She was also incredibly kind when helping me navigate some family and COVID-related stress.
The eight or so weeks leading up to the wedding, she completely took over communication with my venue and vendors and handled every logistical detail. We did not have to worry about any of the minute (parking, vendor meals, telling vendors where to go and what time to be there, etc.) which took so much off our plate. She created the perfect wedding day timeline, taking our preferences into account while also making sure we had enough time for everything. The wedding day itself was incredible and went extremely smoothly - if there were any issues, I never found out about them. I had either Alyssa or one of her assistants with me basically the whole day, while she/other assistants dealt with the groom and groomsmen and vendors and set up. There was always someone around to get me a bottle of water, a glass of champagne, sticky tape for my dress, flat shoes, you name it. They were there to help us with anything we needed (again not in an overbearing way). Alyssa and her team truly made our wedding everything we had hoped for and more, and we can't recommend them enough!

We hired Lauren Harbin of Chancy Charm Washington as a month-of-coordinator for our Wedding, and we can honestly say that doing so was one of the absolute best investments we made. We cannot emphasize how valuable her month of coordination was. It was the difference between a stressful wedding and an amazing one. Lauren's attention to detail, thoughtfulness, knowledge, and forethought meant that when the day of our wedding arrived, we were able to be 100% in the present with our family and friends. During the whole planning process, Lauren was always available for questions, and once I handed off things to Lauren a month before our wedding, she was immediately in touch with our vendors and caught details that we had missed. The week before the wedding, she had our timeline and instructions done and sent off to our wedding party, vendors, and families. The day of our wedding, everyone knew where and when to be. There was no confusion. Lauren also ensured that everything was set up beautifully and brought our vision to life. I asked my husband for input on this review, and his answer sums it up perfectly: 1. Lauren is amazing. 2. Hire her. She truly made our day so special that guests commented it was the best wedding they had been to.

Lauren at Chancey Charm was our month of coordinator for our October 19 wedding. Right from the beginning she was extremely helpful and wonderfully easy to work with. We contracted with her a year before the wedding and although she was only "month of", she was extremely helpful over the entire year and offered advice and expertise at key points that was so supportive and really lessened the planning anxiety. When she started month of she took over communication with the vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of - and she did it with a smile and a sense of humor. I cannot recommend Lauren enough! Like most getting married in 2020, our plans drastically changed and Lauren was more than accommodating when we decided to postpone and downsize our reception for 2021. After doing this, we decided to move forward with a micro wedding this year and had Lauren help us with that as well — she was just fantastic. She was prompt, thorough, detail oriented and effective in managing our vendors. This was not just noticed by us but also our vendors. A week prior to the wedding, I was on the phone with my florist and she started to ask me a logistics question but stopped herself — she realized she had all the information she needed as Lauren had sent her a detailed schedule the week prior (she even added that she thought Lauren was “the best”). We could not have done the micro wedding without her and can’t wait to use her again for our reception next year!

We began working with Lauren in 2019 to plan our November 2020 wedding. From the start, she was kind, responsive and very knowledgeable throughout our planning process. In June of 2020, we decided to cancel the original wedding plans due to Covid and pivot to a "petite" wedding. Lauren was incredibly supportive and helpful through this time. She was also willing to continue working with us when I asked her to stay on and coordinate the smaller event. I didn't really know what to expect when I asked her to do this as the event was for 9 people total but I knew I wanted this to feel like a "real" wedding. Lauren totally delivered -- she made sure the ceremony and reception spaces aligned to my vision and she effortlessly managed with all of our vendors. Lauren made it a perfect day.
We held a belated reception in October 2021 and Lauren and her assistant, Keyla, once again went above and beyond to make the day perfect. They handled every little detail so that we were just able to enjoy our day. We truly loved working with Lauren and think she's simply the best!

For couples, she's very organized and relaxed. I've found that it's hard to maintain this balance as a wedding planner because you want to be on top of everything, but you also don't want to stress your couple out! Alyssa is the perfect balance!
Alyssa also does a great job of translating the vision of the couple to real life without stepping on toes or insisting on a certain style or vibe. Such a breath of fresh air for couples!

Lauren Harbin with Chancey Charm (Leesburg) was seriously the MVP of my wedding day! Not only was she instrumentally important to us in the months leading up to the wedding, providing us helpful advice and words of encouragement leading up to the wedding day-- in COVID times nevertheless!--but she truly ran the show on the day of the wedding. Lauren and her team really made my day easier and more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. They always say that something always goes wrong the day of the wedding, even if it is something small, but there was seriously not one single thing that went wrong! The only thing I could even think of was that I forgot I was supposed to pick up our cupcakes from Wegmans the day before the wedding and I forgot, but Lauren was the one who realized and resolved the issue before I even knew about it! What a seriously stellar moment!!
It was a completely perfect, stress-free day! Lauren really made all the little details I had come to life and the way her team arranged all the decor made it all the more beautiful than what I could have ever come up with. Our family members and bridal party didn't have to do a single thing the day of the wedding other than just show up and have a great time. Lauren is the person you want at your wedding day. She is a calming, sweet, and positive presence that's almost like having the most organized girl friend out there having your back! When my wedding was over, my biggest disappointment was that I wouldn't have my monthly tag ups to chat with Lauren anymore because she's just the most uplifting and fun person to talk with! haha :)
I was between whether or not to book a month-of-coordinator for my wedding, and have to say that it was well worth the money to book one, and specifically to book Chancey Charm! The Aisle Planner tool they offer makes wedding planning so much easier as the couple; it was easy to visualize everything we had/what we had to do/our seating chart, etc.
Our vendors had so many great things to say about Lauren--we heard from our venue, DJ, photographer, and others that Lauren was SO great to work with and that she really covered every base. This is SO important and really made a huge difference on our wedding day! Our venue even added Chancey Charm to their recommended vendor list after seeing them in action at our wedding!
If you are debating about hiring Chancey Charm in Leesburg, go for it! You will not be disappointed! Lauren Harbin will have your back!

Lauren Harbin was absolutely the best. Everyone in our bridal party came up to us to tell us that as well. She got everyone moving (with a smile on her face!) and made the ceremony happen. She was assertive, organized and just the best. I do not think our day would have gone as well without her. Throughout the wedding planning process she was always available and was super helpful at keeping us on track and made sure we were well organized as well. Could NOT recommend her enough. Simply fab!

Lauren from Chancey Charm was the coordinator for our wedding last year at The Inn at Willow Grove in Virginia. My now-husband was adamant early on in the planning that we needed a coordinator so I wouldn't get stressed out worrying about all the details on our big day. Not only did Lauren and her assistants make sure that we and our bridal party members could enjoy the day, but they really went above and beyond. Lauren was the biggest life saver in the lead up to the wedding, making sure all the vendors knew the plan and putting in the extra effort to get confirmation from the stragglers. On our wedding day, rain was rolling through literally right as the outdoor ceremony was supposed to start. Chancey Charm and the venue staff seamlessly gathered the guests indoors (separate from the wedding party holding area) and we were able to clearly communicate the plan, the rain quickly passed, and the ceremony took place outdoors as planned only about 15 minutes late. Obviously things like that cannot be controlled, but Lauren had walked us through the rain plans during the rehearsal and most importantly made sure that we weren't freaking out making a decision about what to do when the clouds came in on our wedding day.
TL;DR If you are considering working with Lauren and Chancey Charm, do it!

I can hardly begin to describe how amazing Lauren Harbin is. I truly, truly believe that we could not have had the beautiful, super fun, stress free wedding that we had without her. It was the best weekend of my life and I owe so, so much to her.
As someone who does planning for a living, I am very picky about how these things are handled and know when I see someone good - and Lauren is GREAT. She is organized, responsive, proactive, experienced and super fun yet professional. From day one of working with her I felt incredibly supported and like she was completely invested in getting to know us as a couple and as people, and dedicated to supporting us in planning the wedding that we dreamed of.
We really wanted to just be able to *enjoy* our wedding and not stress about details and because of Lauren, we did. In the month leading up to the wedding she completely took over and it was amazing to be able to let go of the details and focus on the things that mattered - each other and our friends and family.
She had great judgement in knowing how and when to handle questions or issues herself with her best judgement (always perfect), and when to bring them to us. This made for a completely stress free weekend. There may have been (probably were) issues that arose that my husband and I don't even know about - and that's thanks to her incredible capacity to manage so many moving pieces and handle things seamlessly and with such tact and grace.
We heard from so many of our family, bridal party, and guests that they thought Lauren and her team were excellent. Somehow Lauren and her team managed to make every person in the wedding feel personally cared for and attended to. Literally, I think she was in 5 places at once all weekend.
Lauren is also just personally incredible; she's sweet, fun, passionate, supportive, and all around a joy to work with.
I would have paid three times as much and still felt like I got a bargain; Lauren was generous with her time and invested her love and care in making our weekend perfect..
I cannot recommend Lauren and her team highly enough!

Alana Futcher with the Chancey Charm Weddings team is an absolutely wonderful wedding coordinator. She is the one to contract if you want a great wedding. We contracted her as a “day of” coordinator and we could not have been any happier and satisfied with her performance. The assistance she provided us leading up to the big day was so helpful. Tips on needed vendors or any preparation advice we requested she was there for us - even months prior to the wedding. Closer to the wedding day, she met us at the wedding venue and very patiently reviewed every detail of the big day – answering any questions we had about the upcoming event. Alana also coordinated all the arrival times and details with the different vendors we had contracted for wedding day services. She was there the night before the wedding helping with the rehearsal and getting us prepared for the next day. She handed out Wedding Day guides to all the bridal party members and parents. The guide, which contained the wedding day timeline, was great and well used by most of us the following day. She was there well before the wedding began and stayed through all the clean-up and packing up of presents, props, and vendor rentals.
Alana is without a doubt a true professional who takes her job seriously but she is also a lot of fun to be with especially on a day that can really be stressful. Working with her you can tell how much she cares about her clients and that she truly wants them to enjoy themselves on the big day. I will admit that without Alana my daughter’s wedding would have been much more stressful for all of us and would not have been nearly as organized and fun. Therefore, if you want to be able to relax and know that the day will turn out great and all your expectations and then some will be met….then Alana is your person!!!!

We’ve had multiple friends get engaged since our wedding and we’ve told all of them that the number 1 thing they have to spend money on is a coordinator, and if they’re in the area it should be Lauren! Seriously, she’s warm, thoughtful, detail oriented, and was constantly helpful. There are so many things you have to keep track of when planning a wedding and she was our constant throughout the process. She was great at handling the surprises that popped up along the way and the day of the wedding without adding any extra stress. Once of those surprises was that, last minute we were told we couldn’t have s’mores set up at the reception. By the time I found out they had already been moved outside, by a bonfire and people were being directed towards it. She also handled our frequent changes and questions like a pro and was never anything but kind and generous (even if I was being very nitpicky or annoying). As always there were tricky family nuances involved in our wedding and she navigated them well and fairly. Lastly, she recommended several of our vendors who we all loved. If you have the chance to work with Lauren please do!

I once hired Brittany to plan a 200+ corporate event and at the last minute we had to cancel due to weather.
